You are implementing LocationListener in your activity MainActivity. The call for concurrent location updates will therefor be like this:

mLocationClient.requestLocationUpdates(mLocationRequest, this);

Be sure that the LocationListener you're implementing is from the google api, that is import this:

import com.google.android.gms.location.LocationListener;

and not this:

import android.location.LocationListener;

and it should work just fine.

It's also important that the LocationClient really is connected before you do this. I suggest you don't call it in the onCreate or onStart methods, but in onResume. It is all explained quite well in the tutorial for Google Location Api: https://developer.android.com/training/location/index.html

You can assign values in the loop using df.set_value:

If you don't need the row values you could simply iterate over the indices of df, but I kept the original for-loop in case you need the row value for something not shown here.

update

df.set_value() has been deprecated since version 0.21.0 you can use df.at() instead:

<p:commandXxx process> <p:ajax process> <f:ajax execute>

The process attribute is server side and can only affect UIComponents implementing EditableValueHolder (input fields) or ActionSource (command fields). The process attribute tells JSF, using a space-separated list of client IDs, which components exactly must be processed through the entire JSF lifecycle upon (partial) form submit.

JSF will then apply the request values (finding HTTP request parameter based on component's own client ID and then either setting it as submitted value in case of EditableValueHolder components or queueing a new ActionEvent in case of ActionSource components), perform conversion, validation and updating the model values (EditableValueHolder components only) and finally invoke the queued ActionEvent (ActionSource components only). JSF will skip processing of all other components which are not covered by process attribute. Also, components whose rendered attribute evaluates to false during apply request values phase will also be skipped as part of safeguard against tampered requests.

Note that it's in case of ActionSource components (such as <p:commandButton>) very important that you also include the component itself in the process attribute, particularly if you intend to invoke the action associated with the component. So the below example which intends to process only certain input component(s) when a certain command component is invoked ain't gonna work:

It would only process the #{bean.foo} and not the #{bean.action}. You'd need to include the command component itself as well:

Or, as you apparently found out, using @parent if they happen to be the only components having a common parent:

Or, if they both happen to be the only components of the parent UIForm component, then you can also use @form:

This is sometimes undesirable if the form contains more input components which you'd like to skip in processing, more than often in cases when you'd like to update another input component(s) or some UI section based on the current input component in an ajax listener method. You namely don't want that validation errors on other input components are preventing the ajax listener method from being executed.

Then there's the @all. This has no special effect in process attribute, but only in update attribute. A process="@all" behaves exactly the same as process="@form". HTML doesn't support submitting multiple forms at once anyway.

There's by the way also a @none which may be useful in case you absolutely don't need to process anything, but only want to update some specific parts via update, particularly those sections whose content doesn't depend on submitted values or action listeners.

Noted should be that the process attribute has no influence on the HTTP request payload (the amount of request parameters). Meaning, the default HTML behavior of sending "everything" contained within the HTML representation of the <h:form> will be not be affected. In case you have a large form, and want to reduce the HTTP request payload to only these absolutely necessary in processing, i.e. only these covered by process attribute, then you can set the partialSubmit attribute in PrimeFaces Ajax components as in <p:commandXxx ... partialSubmit="true"> or <p:ajax ... partialSubmit="true">. You can also configure this 'globally' by editing web.xml and add

Alternatively, you can also use <o:form> of OmniFaces 3.0+ which defaults to this behavior.

The standard JSF equivalent to the PrimeFaces specific process is execute from <f:ajax execute>. It behaves exactly the same except that it doesn't support a comma-separated string while the PrimeFaces one does (although I personally recommend to just stick to space-separated convention), nor the @parent keyword. Also, it may be useful to know that <p:commandXxx process> defaults to @form while <p:ajax process> and <f:ajax execute> defaults to @this. Finally, it's also useful to know that process supports the so-called "PrimeFaces Selectors", see also How do PrimeFaces Selectors as in update="@(.myClass)" work?

<p:commandXxx update> <p:ajax update> <f:ajax render>

The update attribute is client side and can affect the HTML representation of all UIComponents. The update attribute tells JavaScript (the one responsible for handling the ajax request/response), using a space-separated list of client IDs, which parts in the HTML DOM tree need to be updated as response to the form submit.

JSF will then prepare the right ajax response for that, containing only the requested parts to update. JSF will skip all other components which are not covered by update attribute in the ajax response, hereby keeping the response payload small. Also, components whose rendered attribute evaluates to false during render response phase will be skipped. Note that even though it would return true, JavaScript cannot update it in the HTML DOM tree if it was initially false. You'd need to wrap it or update its parent instead. Usually, you'd like to update only the components which really need to be "refreshed" in the client side upon (partial) form submit. The example below updates the entire parent form via @form:

(note that process attribute is omitted as that defaults to @form already)

Whilst that may work fine, the update of input and command components is in this particular example unnecessary. Unless you change the model values foo and bar inside action method (which would in turn be unintuitive in UX perspective), there's no point of updating them. The message components are the only which really need to be updated:

However, that gets tedious when you have many of them. That's one of the reasons why PrimeFaces Selectors exist. Those message components have in the generated HTML output a common style class of ui-message, so the following should also do:

(note that you should keep the IDs on message components, otherwise @(...) won't work! Again, see How do PrimeFaces Selectors as in update="@(.myClass)" work? for detail)

The @parent updates only the parent component, which thus covers the current component and all siblings and their children. This is more useful if you have separated the form in sane groups with each its own responsibility. The @this updates, obviously, only the current component. Normally, this is only necessary when you need to change one of the component's own HTML attributes in the action method. E.g.

<p:commandButton action="#{bean.action}" update="@this" 
    oncomplete="doSomething('#{bean.value}')" />

Imagine that the oncomplete needs to work with the value which is changed in action, then this construct wouldn't have worked if the component isn't updated, for the simple reason that oncomplete is part of generated HTML output (and thus all EL expressions in there are evaluated during render response).

The @all updates the entire document, which should be used with care. Normally, you'd like to use a true GET request for this instead by either a plain link (<a> or <h:link>) or a redirect-after-POST by ?faces-redirect=true or ExternalContext#redirect(). In effects, process="@form" update="@all" has exactly the same effect as a non-ajax (non-partial) submit. In my entire JSF career, the only sensible use case I encountered for @all is to display an error page in its entirety in case an exception occurs during an ajax request. In my case, this has been resolved by going to control panel > java > security > then add url in the exception site list. Then apply. Test again the site and it should now allow you to run the local java.

It works great! And since it came from Microsoft, I feel like it's pretty legit.

Basically there are two steps.

1. Create a stored procedure in your master db. See msft link or if it's broken try here: http://pastebin.com/svRLkqnq

2. Schedule the backup from your task scheduler. You might want to put into a .bat or .cmd file first and then schedule that file.

Obviously replace YOUR_SERVER_NAME with your computer name or optionally try .\SQLEXPRESS and make sure the backup folder exists. In this case it's trying to put it into c:\SQL_Backup

Having a map doesn't look good at all with a large amount of components. I'm actually surprised that no one has suggested something like this:

This one has really helped me when I needed to render a pretty large amount of components loaded in a form of json array.

The first argument after the "run" that is not a flag or parameter to a flag is parsed as an image name. When that parsing fails, it tells you the reference format, aka image name (but could be an image id, pinned image, or other syntax) is invalid. In your command:

The image name "supervisely_anpr" is valid, so you need to look earlier in the command. In this case, the error is most likely from pwd outputting a path with a space in it. Everything after the space is no longer a parameter to -v and docker tries to parse it as the image name. The fix is to quote the volume parameters when you cannot guarantee it is free of spaces or other special characters.

When you do that, you'll encounter the next error, "executable not found". Everything after the image name is parsed as the command to run inside the container. In your case, it will try to run the command --rm -it bash which will almost certainly fail since --rm will no exist as a binary inside your image. You need to reorder the parameters to resolve that:

The problem in my case was that the database name was incorrect.
I solved the problem by referring the correct database name in the field as below

Unfortunately although the Array.join approach mentioned here is terse, it is about 10X slower than a string-concatenation-based implementation. It performs especially badly on large strings. See below for full performance details.

On Firefox, Chrome, Node.js MacOS, Node.js Ubuntu, and Safari, the fastest implementation I tested was:

It's not valid XHTML to have to have nested forms. However, you can use multiple submit buttons and use a serverside script to run different codes depending on which button the users has clicked.

You may be able to do this by modifying the request options as below. If you are using a self-signed certificate or a missing intermediary, setting strictSSL to false will not force request package to validate the certificate.

Tracing the root cause, i finally found that the public key of type dsa is not added to the authorized keys on remote server. Appending the same worked for me.

The ssh was working with rsa key, causing me to look back in my code.

While you are in debug mode within the catch {...} block open up the "QuickWatch" window (ctrl+alt+q) and paste in there:

Close all the connection which is open & connected to the server listen port, whatever it is from application or client side tool (navicat) or on running server (apache or weblogic). First close all connection then restart all tools MySQL,apache etc.

I create HashMaps in bash 3 using dynamic variables. I explained how that works in my answer to: Associative arrays in Shell scripts

Also you can take a look in shell_map, which is a HashMap implementation made in bash 3.

If you save the excel file as a CSV file then you can import it into a mysql database using tools such as PHPMyAdmin

Im not sure if this would help in your situation, but a csv file either manually or programatically would be a lot easier to parse into a database than an excel file I would have thought.

EDIT: I would however suggest looking at the other answers rather than mine since @diEcho answer seems more appropriate.

Does replacing a character in a String with a null character even work in Java? I know that '\0' will terminate a c-string.

That depends on how you define what is working. Does it replace all occurrences of the target character with '\0'? Absolutely!

System.out.println(s.hashCode() == 'f'*31*31*31 + 'd'); // "true"

Everything seems to work fine to me! indexOf can find it, it counts as part of the length, and its value for hash code calculation is 0; everything is as specified by the JLS/API.

It DOESN'T work if you expect replacing a character with the null character would somehow remove that character from the string. Of course it doesn't work like that. A null character is still a character!

It also DOESN'T work if you expect the null character to terminate a string. It's evident from the snippets above, but it's also clearly specified in JLS (10.9. An Array of Characters is Not a String):

In the Java programming language, unlike C, an array of char is not a String, and neither a String nor an array of char is terminated by '\u0000' (the NUL character).

Would this be the culprit to the funky characters?

Now we're talking about an entirely different thing, i.e. how the string is rendered on screen. Truth is, even "Hello world!" will look funky if you use dingbats font. A unicode string may look funky in one locale but not the other. Even a properly rendered unicode string containing, say, Chinese characters, may still look funky to someone from, say, Greenland.

That said, the null character probably will look funky regardless; usually it's not a character that you want to display. That said, since null character is not the string terminator, Java is more than capable of handling it one way or another.

Now to address what we assume is the intended effect, i.e. remove all period from a string, the simplest solution is to use the replace(CharSequence, CharSequence) overload.

The replaceAll solution is mentioned here too, but that works with regular expression, which is why you need to escape the dot meta character, and is likely to be slower.

A "mocking framework", which Mockito is based on, is a framework that gives you the ability to create Mock objects ( in old terms these objects could be called shunts, as they work as shunts for dependend functionality ) In other words, a mock object is used to imitate the real object your code is dependend on, you create a proxy object with the mocking framework. By using mock objects in your tests you are essentially going from normal unit testing to integrational testing

Mockito is an open source testing framework for Java released under the MIT License, it is a "mocking framework", that lets you write beautiful tests with clean and simple API. There are many different mocking frameworks in the Java space, however there are essentially two main types of mock object frameworks, ones that are implemented via proxy and ones that are implemented via class remapping.

Dependency injection frameworks like Spring allow you to inject your proxy objects without modifying any code, the mock object expects a certain method to be called and it will return an expected result.

The @InjectMocks annotation tries to instantiate the testing object instance and injects fields annotated with @Mock or @Spy into private fields of the testing object.

MockitoAnnotations.initMocks(this) call, resets testing object and re-initializes mocks, so remember to have this at your @Before / @BeforeMethod annotation.

To add to Heath's answer: It looks like Subversion 1.6 disabled storing passwords by default if it can't store them in encrypted form. You can allow storing unencrypted passwords by explicitly setting password-stores = (that is, to the empty value) in ~/.subversion/config.

To check which password store subversion uses, look in ~/.subversion/auth/svn.simple. This contains several files, each a hash table with a simple key/value encoding. The svn:realmstring in each file identifies which realm that file is for. If the file has

then it stores the password in plain text somewhere in that file, in a K 8 password entry. Else, it tries to use one of the configured password-stores.

I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 and to fix it for me I had to create a symlink for node to point to nodejs as described here:

Once I did that I re-ran these commands:

Inline keyword requests the compiler to replace the function call with the body of the function ,it first evaluates the expression and then passed.It reduces the function call overhead as there is no need to store the return address and stack memory is not required for function arguments.

When to use:

• To Improve performance
• To reduce call overhead .
• As it's just a request to the compiler, certain functions won't be inlined *large functions
  • functions having too many conditional arguments
  • recursive code and code with loops etc.

You can test if a string ends with work followed by one character like this:

It's probably better to use another mechanism for this.

The modern solution, with DateTime:

This validates the input too: $dt !== false ensures that the date can be parsed with the specified format and the array_sum trick is a terse way of ensuring that PHP did not do "month shifting" (e.g. consider that January 32 is February 1). See DateTime::getLastErrors() for more information.

Old-school solution with explode and checkdate:

This validates that the input is a valid date as well. You can do that with a regex of course, but it's going to be more fuss -- and February 29 cannot be validated with a regex at all.

The drawback of this approach is that you have to be very careful to reject all possible "bad" inputs while not emitting a notice under any circumstances. Here's how:

• explode is limited to return 3 tokens (so that if the input is "1-2-3-4", $d will become "3-4")
• ctype_digit is used to make sure that the input does not contain any non-numeric characters (apart from the dashes)
• array_pad is used (with a default value that will cause checkdate to fail) to make sure that enough elements are returned so that if the input is "1-2" list() will not emit a notice

Its a late answer, but as I can see most of the people mentioned about "refresh" method to redirect a webpage. As per W3C, we should not use "refresh" to redirect. Because it could break the "back" button. Imagine that the user presses the "back" button, the refresh would work again, and the user would bounce forward. The user will most likely get very annoyed, and close the window, which is probably not what you, as the author of this page, want.

Use HTTP redirects instead. One can refer the complete documentation here: W3C document

Here's a variation on the first answer given in this thread which doesn't require any extra packages, libraries or special functions.

In order to set the state of a specific nested field, you have set the whole object. I did this by creating a variable, newState and spreading the contents of the current state into it first using the ES2015 spread operator. Then, I replaced the value of this.state.flag with the new value (since I set flag: value after I spread the current state into the object, the flag field in the current state is overridden). Then, I simply set the state of someProperty to my newState object.

Here is an interesting solution: it uses the browsers CSS engine to to add a dummy property to elements matching the selector and then evaluates the computed style to find matched elements:

It does dynamically create a style rule [...] It then scans the whole document (using the much decried and IE-specific but very fast document.all) and gets the computed style for each of the elements. We then look for the foo property on the resulting object and check whether it evaluates as “bar”. For each element that matches, we add to an array.

For linux users, and to sum up and add to what others have said here, you should know the following:

1. Global variables are not evil. $CLASSPATH is specifically what Java uses to look through multiple directories to find all the different classes it needs for your script (unless you explicitly tell it otherwise with the -cp override).

2. The colon (":") character separates the different directories. There is only one $CLASSPATH and it has all the directories in it. So, when you run "export CLASSPATH=...." you want to include the current value "$CLASSPATH" in order to append to it. For example:

   export CLASSPATH=.
   export CLASSPATH=$CLASSPATH:/usr/share/java/mysql-connector-java-5.1.12.jar
   

   In the first line above, you start CLASSPATH out with just a simple 'dot' which is the path to your current working directory. With that, whenever you run java it will look in the current working directory (the one you're in) for classes. In the second line above, $CLASSPATH grabs the value that you previously entered (.) and appends the path to a mysql dirver. Now, java will look for the driver AND for your classes.

3. echo $CLASSPATH
   

   is super handy, and what it returns should read like a colon-separated list of all the directories you want java looking in for what it needs to run your script.

I don't like ActionView based solutions, my idea is:

1. create a layout with TextView, that TextView will be populated by application

2. when you need to draw a MenuItem:

A "slug" is a way of generating a valid URL, generally using data already obtained. For instance, a slug uses the title of an article to generate a URL. I advise to generate the slug by means of a function, given the title (or another piece of data), rather than setting it manually.

This simple approach reads the requirements file from setup.py. It is a variation of the answer by Dmitiry S.. This answer is compatible only with Python 3.6+.

Per D.S., requirements.txt can document concrete requirements with specific version numbers, whereas setup.py can document abstract requirements with loose version ranges.

If you need the last element as well - I'd look into how to reverse the order of your map - store it in a temp variable, access the first element in the reversed map(therefore it would be your last element), kill the temp variable.

If these Constants are service references or switches that effect the application behavior I would set them up as Application user settings. That way if they need to be changed you do not have to recompile and you can still reference them through the static properties class.

Here is a simple snippet that read's in a json text file from a dictionary. Note that your json file must follow the json standard, so it has to have " double quotes rather then ' single quotes.

g++ does not check for array bounds, and you may be overwriting something with 3,4 but nothing really important, if you try with higher numbers you'll get a crash.

You are just overwriting parts of the stack that are not used, you could continue till you reach the end of the allocated space for the stack and it'd crash eventually

EDIT: You have no way of dealing with that, maybe a static code analyzer could reveal those failures, but that's too simple, you may have similar(but more complex) failures undetected even for static analyzers

Actually MySQL provide a lot of easy to use function in daily life without more effort from user side-

NOW() it produce date and time both in current scenario whereas CURDATE() produce date only, CURTIME() display time only, we can use one of them according to our need with CAST or merge other calculation it, MySQL rich in these type of function.

NOTE:- You can see the difference using query select NOW() as NOWDATETIME, CURDATE() as NOWDATE, CURTIME() as NOWTIME ;

Well, if you want to do it using an algorithm. There are a plethora of sorting algorithms out there. If you aren't concerned too much about efficiency and more about readability and understandability. I recommend Insertion Sort. Here is the psudo code, it is trivial to translate this into java.

I've found that using OnTime can be painful, particularly when:

1. You're trying to code and the focus on the window gets interrupted every time the event triggers.
2. You have multiple workbooks open, you close the one that's supposed to use the timer, and it keeps triggering and reopening the workbook (if you forgot to kill the event properly).

It seems mysql handles the type casting gracefully with SELECT statements. The shop_id field is of type varchar but the select statements works

But when you try updating the fields

It fails with error Truncated incorrect DOUBLE value: '1t5hxq9'

You need to put the shop_id 26244317283 in quotes '26244317283' for the query to work since the field is of type varchar not int

I like to describe generators, to those with a decent background in programming languages and computing, in terms of stack frames.

In many languages, there is a stack on top of which is the current stack "frame". The stack frame includes space allocated for variables local to the function including the arguments passed in to that function.

When you call a function, the current point of execution (the "program counter" or equivalent) is pushed onto the stack, and a new stack frame is created. Execution then transfers to the beginning of the function being called.

With regular functions, at some point the function returns a value, and the stack is "popped". The function's stack frame is discarded and execution resumes at the previous location.

When a function is a generator, it can return a value without the stack frame being discarded, using the yield statement. The values of local variables and the program counter within the function are preserved. This allows the generator to be resumed at a later time, with execution continuing from the yield statement, and it can execute more code and return another value.

Before Python 2.5 this was all generators did. Python 2.5 added the ability to pass values back in to the generator as well. In doing so, the passed-in value is available as an expression resulting from the yield statement which had temporarily returned control (and a value) from the generator.

The key advantage to generators is that the "state" of the function is preserved, unlike with regular functions where each time the stack frame is discarded, you lose all that "state". A secondary advantage is that some of the function call overhead (creating and deleting stack frames) is avoided, though this is a usually a minor advantage.

You can execute an .exe from a Windows service very well in Windows XP. I have done it myself in the past.

You need to make sure you had checked the option "Allow to interact with the Desktop" in the Windows service properties. If that is not done, it will not execute.

I need to check in Windows 7 or Vista as these versions requires additional security privileges so it may throw an error, but I am quite sure it can be achieved either directly or indirectly. For XP I am certain as I had done it myself.

GIF based on a palette of 256 colours per image (at least in its basic incarnation). PNG can do "TrueColour", i.e. 16.7 Million colours out of the box. Lossless PNG compresses better than lossless GIFs. GIF can do "binary" transparency (0% opacity or 100% opacity). PNG can handle alpha transparencies.

In order to serve up a static CSS file in express app (i.e. use a css style file to style ejs "templates" files in express app). Here are the simple 3 steps that need to happen:

1. Place your css file called "styles.css" in a folder called "assets" and the assets folder in a folder called "public". Thus the relative path to the css file should be "/public/assets/styles.css"

2. In the head of each of your ejs files you would simply call the css file (like you do in a regular html file) with a <link href=… /> as shown in the code below. Make sure you copy and paste the code below directly into your ejs file <head> section

3. In your server.js file, you need to use the app.use() middleware. That's right, if you're on a mac(unix) you won't see .git in finder(the file browser). You can follow the directions above to delete and there are git commands that allow you to delete files as well(they are sometimes difficult to work with and learn, for example: on making a 'git rm -r ' command you might be prompted with a .git/ not found. Here is the git command specs:

I don't think we can say that a hash function is "good" without knowing your data in advance ! and without knowing what you're going to do with it.

There are better data structures than hash tables for unknown data sizes (I'm assuming you're doing the hashing for a hash table here ). I would personally use a hash table when I Know I have a "finite" number of elements that are needing stored in a limited amount of memory. I would try and do a quick statistical analysis on my data, see how it is distributed etc before I start thinking about my hash function.

Change your return type to java.lang.Integer . This way you can safely return null

Worth noting that if nothing worked for you, you may have forgotten to escape your path.

Python doesn't really have either concept.

It uses duck typing, which removed the need for interfaces (at least for the computer :-))

Python <= 2.5: Base classes obviously exist, but there is no explicit way to mark a method as 'pure virtual', so the class isn't really abstract.

I found that in my code when I used a ration or percentage for line-height line-height;1.5;

My page would scale in such a way that lower case font and upper case font would take up different page heights (I.E. All caps took more room than all lower). Normally I think this looks better, but I had to go to a fixed height line-height:24px; so that I could predict exactly how many pixels each page would take with a given number of lines.

So, I hear this works:

My application style is set to Theme.Holo which is dark and I would like the check boxes on my list view to be of style Theme.Holo.Light. I am not trying to create a custom style. The code below doesn't seem to work, nothing happens at all.

At first it may not be apparent why the system exhibits this behaviour, but when you actually look into the mechanics you can easily deduce it. Let me take you through it step by step.

First, let's take a look what the Widget.Holo.Light.CompoundButton.CheckBox style defines. To make things more clear, I've also added the 'regular' (non-light) style definition.

As listChoiceIndicatorMultiple is a theme attribute, you will find multiple declarations for it - one for each theme (or none if it gets inherited from a parent theme). This will look as follows (with other attributes omitted for clarity):

The phenomenon you're seeing is now easily explained: since the appearance is theme-based (and not style-based, because that is merely an empty definition) and you're inheriting from Theme.Holo, you will always get the CheckBox appearance matching the theme.

Now, if you want to change your CheckBox's appearance to the Holo.Light version, you will need to take a copy of those resources, add them to your local assets and use a custom style to apply them.

Absolutely, and they will override any activity- or application-set styles.

Update:

Let me start with saying again that you're not supposed to rely on Android's internal resources. There's a reason you can't just access the internal namespace as you please.

However, a way to access system resources after all is by doing an id lookup by name. Consider the following code snippet:

((CheckBox) findViewById(R.id.checkbox)).setButtonDrawable(id);

The first line will actually return the resource id of the btn_check_holo_light drawable resource. Since we established earlier that this is the button selector that determines the look of the CheckBox, we can set it as 'button drawable' on the widget. The result is a CheckBox with the appearance of the Holo.Light version, no matter what theme/style you set on the application, activity or widget in xml. Since this sets only the button drawable, you will need to manually change other styling; e.g. with respect to the text appearance.

Below a screenshot showing the result. The top checkbox uses the method described above (I manually set the text colour to black in xml), while the second uses the default theme-based Holo styling (non-light, that is).

Update2:

With the introduction of Support Library v22.1.0, things have just gotten a lot easier! A quote from the release notes (my emphasis):

Lollipop added the ability to overwrite the theme at a view by view level by using the android:theme XML attribute - incredibly useful for things such as dark action bars on light activities. Now, AppCompat allows you to use android:theme for Toolbars (deprecating the app:theme used previously) and, even better, brings android:theme support to all views on API 11+ devices.

In other words: you can now apply a theme on a per-view basis, which makes solving the original problem a lot easier: just specify the theme you'd like to apply for the relevant view. I.e. in the context of the original question, compare the results of below:

There's no exact equaliant of language construct die of PHP in Javascript. die in PHP is pretty much equal to System.exit() in Java, which terminates the current script and calls shutdown hooks. As some users suggested; throw Error can be used in some cases, however it never guarantees the termination of the current script. There can be always an exception handling block surrounding your throw statement- unless you call it on the top most level script block, which eventually exits only the script block you're executing.

As a humble beginner in the world of programming, and flicking through all the answers here after seeing this word used a lot in apparently slightly different ways in different places, I found reading the Wikipedia page on Bootstrapping (duh! I didn't think of it either at first) is very informative to understand differences in use of this word. Could it be......on extremely rare occasions......Wikipedia might even have better explanations of certain terms than....(redacted)? Will they bring in rep points on Wikipedia though?

To me, it seems all the meanings something to do with: start with something as simple as possible Thing1, make something slightly more complex with that Thing2, and now you can use Thing2 to do some kind of tasks more efficiently and quickly than you could originally with Thing1. Then repeat from Thing2 to Thing 3 ad infinitum...

I see it as closely connected to both biological evolution and 'Layers of Abstraction' (newbies like me see, ahem, Wikipedia, cough) - the evolution from 1940's computers with switches, machine code, Assembly, C, Python, AIs you can give all kinds of complex instructions to like "make the %4^% dinner to my default &^$% requirements and clean the floor you %$£"@:~" in drunken slang English or Amazon tribal dialect without them 'raising an exception' (for newbies again...you guessed it) - missed out lot of links there due to simple ignorance.

Then in certain specific software meanings: Meaning1: Thing1 is used to load latest version of Thing2 (because of course Thing2 will be bigger than Thing1, just as Thing3 will be be bigger than Thing2).

Meaning2: Thing1 is a lower level language (closer to 1001011100....011001 than print("Hello, ", user.name)) used to write a little bit of the higher language of Thing2, then this little bit of Thing2 is used to expand Thing2 itself from baby vocabulary level towards adult vocabulary level (Thing2 starts to be processed, or to use correct technical term 'compiled', by the baby version of itself (it's a clever baby!), whereas the baby version of Thing2 itself could of course only be compiled by Thing1, cause it can't exist before it exists, right duh!), then child version of Thing2 compiles Surly Teenager version of Thing2, at which point programming community decides whether Surly Teenager's 'issues' (software term and metaphor term!) are worth spending enough time resolving to be accepted long term, or to abandon them to (not sure where to take the analogy here).

If yes, then Thing2 has 'Bootstrapped' itself (possibly a few times) from babyhood to adulthood: "the child is the father of the man" (Wordsworth, suggest don't try looking up the quote or the author on Stack Overflow).

You can do that but the changes will affect for new data that is inserted on the database. On the long run follow as suggested above.

Also there are certain tricks you can override the collation, such as parameters for stored procedures or functions, alias data types, and variables are assigned the default collation of the database. To change the collation of an alias type, you must drop the alias and re-create it.

You can override the default collation of a literal string by using the COLLATE clause. If you do not specify a collation, the literal is assigned the database default collation. You can use DATABASEPROPERTYEX to find the current collation of the database.

You can override the server, database, or column collation by specifying a collation in the ORDER BY clause of a SELECT statement.

We hit a heap space issue with Ant while trying to build a very large Flex project which could not be solved by increasing the memory allocated to Ant or by adding the fork=true param. It ended up being a bug in Flex 3.4.0 sdk. I finally figured this out after polling the devs for their sdk version and reverting to 3.3.0.

I tracked the bug down to an Interface file that had an additional accessor pair added "get/set maskTrackSkin". The heap space error hit if any additional functions were added to the interface and to make things worse the interface was not in the project that was getting the heap space error. Hope this helps someone.

Its late, yet it's worth your time nothing that, there are some differences in browser level implementation of focusin and focusout events and react synthetic onFocus and onBlur. focusin and focusout actually bubble, while onFocus and onBlur dont. So there is no exact same implementation for focusin and focusout as of now for react. Anyway most cases will be covered in onFocus and onBlur.

I'm using Windows 10, Python 3.6 on Anaconda 3 and have faced the same issue.

I've had it work by doing the following in sequence:

1. From Anaconda Terminal: pip install pydotplus
2. From Anaconda Terminal: conda install pydotplus
3. From Anaconda Terminal: pip install graphviz
4. From Anaconda Terminal: conda install graphviz
5. Went to Windows Environment Varialbes, PATH, and added the location of my dot.exe file under graphviz directory in Anaconda.

worked fine after that.

Both these will give you the first child node:

console.log(parentElement.firstChild); // or

If you need the first child that is an element node then use:

If you know that getElementsByClassName will only return one result, which it seems you do, you should use [0] to dearray (yes, I made that word up) the element:

None of the previous comments solve the issue on my Mac. I used the commands below and it worked.

$ brew services stop mysql
$ pkill mysqld
$ rm -rf /usr/local/var/mysql/ # NOTE: this will delete your existing database!!!
$ brew postinstall mysql
$ brew services restart mysql
$ mysql -u root

Do not use Jo Liss's resumer answer. It will work in most cases, but in my case it lost me a good 4 or 5 hours bug finding. There is no need for third party modules to do this.
