To accessing member functions or variables from one scope to another scope (In your case one method to another method we need to refer method or variable with class object. and you can do it by referring with self keyword which refer as class object.

The reason may be that watcher is declared as local variable to a method and it is garbage collected when the method finishes. You should declare it as a class member. Try the following:

You may want to unit test the initialization - but because it's in the OnStart method this is near to impossible. I would suggest moving the initialization code out into a separate class so that it can be tested or at least re-used in a form tester.

Secondly to add some logging (using Log4Net or similar) and add some verbose logging so that you can see details about runtime errors. Examples of runtime errors would be AccessViolation etc. especially if your service is running without enough privileges to access the config files.

I have changed the way I monitor files in directories. Instead of using the FileSystemWatcher I poll locations on another thread and then look at the LastWriteTime of the file.

DateTime lastWriteTime = File.GetLastWriteTime(someFilePath);

Using this information and keeping an index of a file path and it's latest write time I can determine files that have changed or that have been created in a particular location. This removes me from the oddities of the FileSystemWatcher. The main downside is that you need a data structure to store the LastWriteTime and the reference to the file, but it is reliable and easy to implement.

I just want to add that in some systems, even increasing the node memory limit with --max-old-space-size, it's not enough and there is an OS error like this:

You can check the max_map_count by running

sysctl vm.max_map_count

and increas it by running

in /etc/sysctl.conf file.

However, it only applies when ToList is applied to a concrete collection; it does not hold when the elements of the source sequence have yet to be instantiated (due to deferred execution). In case of the latter, you might get a new set of items each time you call ToList (or enumerate the sequence).

Here is an adaptation of the OP's code to demonstrate this behaviour:

The executable code produced from a Java or C# compiler is not interpretted -- it is compiled to native code "just in time" (JIT). So, the first time code in a Java/C# program is encountered during execution, there is some overhead as the "runtime compiler" (aka JIT compiler) turns the byte code (Java) or IL code (C#) into native machine instructions. However, the next time that code is encountered while the application is still running, the native code is executed immediately. This explains how some Java/C# programs appear to be slow initially, but then perform better the longer they run. A good example is an ASP.Net web site. The very first time the web site is accessed, it may be a bit slower as the C# code is compiled to native code by the JIT compiler. I've been using Typescript in my current angular project for about a year and a half and while there are a few issues with definitions every now and then the DefinitelyTyped project does an amazing job at keeping up with the latest versions of most popular libraries.

Having said that there is a definite learning curve when transitioning from vanilla JavaScript to TS and you should take into account the ability of you and your team to make that transition. Also if you are going to be using angular 1.x most of the examples you will find online will require you to translate them from JS to TS and overall there are not a lot of resources on using TS and angular 1.x together right now.

If you plan on using angular 2 there are a lot of examples using TS and I think the team will continue to provide most of the documentation in TS, but you certainly don't have to use TS to use angular 2.

ES6 does have some nice features and I personally plan on getting more familiar with it but I would not consider it a production-ready language at this point. Mainly due to a lack of support by current browsers. Of course, you can write your code in ES6 and use a transpiler to get it to ES5, which seems to be the popular thing to do right now.

Overall I think the answer would come down to what you and your team are comfortable learning. I personally think both TS and ES6 will have good support and long futures, I prefer TS though because you tend to get language features quicker and right now the tooling support (in my opinion) is a little better.

You might try passing actual types instead of strings.

Upper and lower case letters differ only by a single bit. The most efficient way to search them is to ignore this bit, not to convert lower or upper, etc. See keywords COLLATION for MSSQL, see NLS_SORT=BINARY_CI if using Oracle, etc.

You can use reentrant locks with a fairness policy or timeout to avoid thread starvation. You can apply a thread fairness policy. it will help avoid a thread waiting forever to get to your resources.

Had this happen to me when committing from Xcode 6, after I had added a directory of files and subdirectories to the project folder. The problem was that, in the Commit sheet, in the left sidebar, I had checkmarked not only the root directory that I had added, but all of its descendants too. To solve the problem, I checkmarked only the root directory. This also committed all of the descendants, as desired, with no error.

The problem lies in the JAR files that you use in your application.

What I did, which worked, was to get inside the JARs for SPRING-CORE, SPRING-BEANS, SPRING-CONTEXT, SPRING-TX that match the version I am using. Within the META-INF folder, I concatenated all the spring.handlers and spring.schemas that come in those JARs.

I killed two birds with one stone, I solved the problem of the schemas so this also works correctly in offline mode.

P.S. I tried the maven plugin for SHADE and the transformers but that did not work.

It's not really something you need jQuery to do. There is a very simple plain old javascript method for doing this:

The first arg is the url, the second is the name of the window, this should be specified because IE will throw a fit about trying to use window.opener later if there was no window name specified (just a little FYI), and the last two params are width/height.

Read the spec for the attributes and for CSS.

• id must be unique. class does not have to be
• id has higher (highest!) specificity in CSS

You're passing the same model to the partial view as is being passed to the main view, and they are different types. The model is a DbSet of Notes, where you need to pass in a single Note.

In HSL its Hue, Saturation, Lightness. So the hue between 0-359 will get all colors, saturation is how rich you want the color, 100% works for me. And Lightness determines the deepness, 50% is normal, 25% is dark colors, 75% is pastel. I have 30% because it fit with my color scheme best.

The code you've posted has two problems:

First: <input type="buttom" should be <input type="button".... This probably is just a typo but without button your input will be treated as type="text" as the default input type is text.

Second: In your function f() definition, you are using the form parameter thinking it's already a jQuery object by using form.attr("action"). Then similarly in the $.post method call, you're passing fname and lname which are HTMLInputElements. I believe what you want is form's action url and input element's values.

I had a similar problem when I rearranged the folder structure of a project. I tried all the hints given in this thread but none of them worked. After checking further I discovered that I forgot to copy an important hidden file over to the new directory. That was

Jaanna, the session parameters in Oracle SQL Developer are dependent on your client computer, while the NLS parameters on PL/SQL is from server.

For example the NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS on client computer can be ',.' while it's '.,' on server.

So when you run script from PL/SQL and Oracle SQL Developer the decimal separator can be completely different for the same script, unless you alter session with your expected NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS in the script.

One way to easily test your session parameter is to do:

I know that there's already an accepted answer, but I don't see how it works for the OP because I don't think FLAG_ACTIVITY_CLEAR_TOP is meaningful in his particular case. That flag is relevant only with activities in the same task. Based on his description, each activity is in its own task: A, B, and the browser.

Something that is maybe throwing him off is that A is singleTop, when it should be singleTask. If A is singleTop, and B starts A, then a new A will be created because A is not in B's task. From the documentation for singleTop:

"If an instance of the activity already exists at the top of the current task, the system routes the intent to that instance..."

Since B starts A, the current task is B's task, which is for a singleInstance and therefore cannot include A. Use singleTask to achieve the desired result there because then the system will find the task that has A and bring that task to the foreground.

Lastly, after B has started A, and the user presses back from A, the OP does not want to see either B or the browser. To achieve this, calling finish() in B is correct; again, FLAG_ACTIVITY_CLEAR_TOP won't remove the other activities in A's task because his other activities are all in different tasks. The piece that he was missing, though is that B should also use FLAG_ACTIVITY_NO_HISTORY when firing the intent for the browser. Note: if the browser is already running prior to even starting the OP's application, then of course you will see the browser when pressing back from A. So to really test this, be sure to back out of the browser before starting the application.

What is Heap-Offloading ?

Usually all non-temporary objects you allocate are managed by java's garbage collector. Although the VM does a decent job doing garbage collection, at a certain point the VM has to do a so called 'Full GC'. A full GC involves scanning the complete allocated Heap, which means GC pauses/slowdowns are proportional to an applications heap size. So don't trust any person telling you 'Memory is Cheap'. In java memory consumtion hurts performance. Additionally you may get notable pauses using heap sizes > 1 Gb. This can be nasty if you have any near-real-time stuff going on, in a cluster or grid a java process might get unresponsive and get dropped from the cluster.

However todays server applications (frequently built on top of bloaty frameworks ;-) ) easily require heaps far beyond 4Gb.

One solution to these memory requirements, is to 'offload' parts of the objects to the non-java heap (directly allocated from the OS). Fortunately java.nio provides classes to directly allocate/read and write 'unmanaged' chunks of memory (even memory mapped files).

So one can allocate large amounts of 'unmanaged' memory and use this to save objects there. In order to save arbitrary objects into unmanaged memory, the most viable solution is the use of Serialization. This means the application serializes objects into the offheap memory, later on the object can be read using deserialization.

The heap size managed by the java VM can be kept small, so GC pauses are in the millis, everybody is happy, job done.

It is clear, that the performance of such an off heap buffer depends mostly on the performance of the serialization implementation. Good news: for some reason FST-serialization is pretty fast :-).

Sample usage scenarios:

• Session cache in a server application. Use a memory mapped file to store gigabytes of (inactive) user sessions. Once the user logs into your application, you can quickly access user-related data without having to deal with a database.
• Caching of computational results (queries, html pages, ..) (only applicable if computation is slower than deserializing the result object ofc).
• very simple and fast persistance using memory mapped files

Edit: For some scenarios one might choose more sophisticated Garbage Collection algorithms such as ConcurrentMarkAndSweep or G1 to support larger heaps (but this also has its limits beyond 16GB heaps). There is also a commercial JVM with improved 'pauseless' GC (Azul) available.

In my case, I created a new ChildComponent in Parentcomponent whereas both in the same module but Parent is registered in a shared module so I created ChildComponent using CLI which registered Child in the current module but my parent was registered in the shared module.

onNewIntent() is meant as entry point for singleTop activities which already run somewhere else in the stack and therefore can't call onCreate(). EOF is a special out-of-band signal which means the end of input. It's not a character (though in the old DOS days, 0x1B acted like EOF), but rather a signal from the OS that the input has ended.

On Windows, you can "input" an EOF by pressing Ctrl+Z at the command prompt. This signals the terminal to close the input stream, which presents an EOF to the running program. Note that on other OSes or terminal emulators, EOF is usually signalled using Ctrl+D.

As for your issue with Sublime Text 2, it seems that stdin is not connected to the terminal when running a program within Sublime, and so consequently programs start off connected to an empty file (probably nul or /dev/null). See also Python 3.1 and Sublime Text 2 error.

JDBC does not support named parameters. Unless you are bound to using plain JDBC (which causes pain, let me tell you that) I would suggest to use Springs Excellent JDBCTemplate which can be used without the whole IoC Container.

NamedParameterJDBCTemplate supports named parameters, you can use them like that:

 NamedParameterJdbcTemplate jdbcTemplate = new NamedParameterJdbcTemplate(dataSource);

 MapSqlParameterSource paramSource = new MapSqlParameterSource();
 paramSource.addValue("name", name);
 paramSource.addValue("city", city);
 jdbcTemplate.queryForRowSet("SELECT * FROM customers WHERE name = :name AND city = :city", paramSource);

For me it worked using flexbox, which is in my opinion the cleanest solution.

Add a css class around the parent div / element with :

.parent {
display: flex;
}

and for the button use:

.button {
justify-content: center;
}

You should use a parent div, otherwise the button doesn't 'know' what the middle of the page / element is.

If this is not working, try :

#wrapper {
    display:flex;
    justify-content: center;
}

In C++ the "^" operator is a bitwise OR. It does not work for raising to a power. The x << n is a left shift of the binary number which is the same as multiplying x by 2 n number of times and that can only be used when raising 2 to a power. The POW function is a math function that will work generically.

To make the code more clear that Kahia wrote in (it is clear but gets tricky when you want to add more text to it)...try this simple solution.

I had to add the extra cast (decimal) to have Math.Round compare the two decimal variables.

Readonly is an attribute as defined in html, so treat it like one.

You need to have something like readonly="readonly" in the object you are working with if you want it not to be editable. And if you want it to be editable again you won't have something like readonly='' (this is not standard if I understood correctly). You really need to remove the attribute as a whole.

As such, while using jquery adding it and removing it is what makes sense.

Set something readonly:

$("#someId").attr('readonly', 'readonly');

Remove readonly:

$("#someId").removeAttr('readonly');

This was the only alternative that really worked for me. Hope it helps!

Okay, this question was a year ago but I recently got this problem as well.

So what I did :

1. Update tomcat 7 to tomcat 8.
2. Update to the latest java (java 1.8.0_141).
3. Update the JRE System Library in Project > Properties > Java Build Path. Make sure it has the latest version which in my case is jre1.8.0_141 (before it was the previous version jre1.8.0_111)

When I did the first two steps it still doesn't remove the error so the last step is important. It didn't automatically change the build path for jre.

For me this solution worked on mac Sierra OS:

sudo /usr/local/bin/mysql.server start
Starting MySQL
SUCCESS!
