I'll show you how to change the image src, so that when you click an image it rotates through all the images that are in your HTML (in your d1 id and c1 class specifically)... whether you have 2 or more images in your HTML.

I'll also show you how to clean up the page after the document is ready, so that only one image is displayed initially.

The breakdown

1. Create a copy of the links containing the images (note: you could also make use of the href attribute of the links for added functionality... for example display the working link below each image):

   The heart of the above code is using ++$imgShow % $length to cycle through the jQuery object containing the images. ++$imgShow % $length first increases our counter by one, then it mods that number with how many images there are. This will keep the resultant index cycling from 0 to length-1, which are the indices of the $images object. This means this code will work with 2, 3, 5, 10, or 100 images... cycling through each image in order and restarting at the first image when the last image is reached.

   Additionally, .attr() is used to get and set the "src" attribute of the images. To pick elements from among the $images object, I set $images as the jQuery context using the form $(selector, context). Then I use .eq() to pick just the element with the specific index I'm interested in.

I was having the same issue until I worked out that I was trying to make my project directory and the virtual environment one and the same - which isn't correct.

I have a \Code\Python directory where I store all my Python projects. My Python 3 installation is on my Path.

If I want to create a new Python project (Project1) with its own virtual environment, then I do this:

Then, simply opening the folder (Project1) in Visual Studio Code ensures that the correct virtual environment is used.

Using MAMP

Enter the command which php in the terminal to see which version of PHP you are using. If it's not the PHP version from MAMP, the $PATH variable used by Bash will need to be updated.

First, you should use command "cd /Applications/MAMP/bin/php" to check which php version from MAMP and take note of the version (eg, php5.6.7).

Once you know the version, you should edit the ~/.bash_profile file (that is, the .bash_profile that is in your home directory) and add an export line:

    export PATH=/Applications/MAMP/bin/php/php5.6.7/bin:$PATH

Make sure that you replace php5.6.7 with the version of PHP that you have selected in MAMP.

Once the file has been saved, make sure that you close close your Terminal and open it again. Once that has been done, you will be using the PHP that ships with MAMP.

One way to easily find what the line should be that you need to put inside your .bash_profile is to run the following command inside your terminal:

I ran into this issue due to a silly mistake. Make sure the date actually exists!

For example:

September 31, 2015 does not exist.

EXEC dbo.SearchByDateRange @Start = '20150901' , @End = '20150931'

So this fails with the message:

Error converting data type varchar to datetime.

To fix it, input a valid date:

EXEC dbo.SearchByDateRange @Start = '20150901' , @End = '20150930'

And it executes just fine.

The top one is a "power" operator, so in this case it is the same as 2 * 2 equal to is 2 to the power of 2. If you put a 3 in the middle position, you will see a difference.

Edit: As Atspulgs comment suggest, you can achieve the same without jQuery using the querySelector:

I've tried a couple of plugins doing this and my favourite is jekyll-figure.

1.1. Install jekyll-figure

One way to install jekyll-figure is to add gem "jekyll-figure" to your Gemfile in your plugins group.

Then run bundle install from your terminal window.

1.2. Use jekyll-figure

Simply wrap your markdown in {% figure %} and {% endfigure %} tags.

You caption goes in the opening {% figure %} tag, and you can even style it with markdown!

Javascript has function scoping. "Parameters and variables defined in a function are not visible outside of the function, and that a variable defined anywhere within a function is visible everywhere within the function." (from "Javascript: The Good Parts").

The Roots

Iteration 1

One day, someone probably thought "there must be a way to avoid naming 'myMainFunction', since all we want is to execute it immediately."

If you go back to the basics, you find out that:

• expression: something evaluating to a value. i.e. 3+11/x
• statement: line(s) of code doing something BUT it does not evaluate to a value. i.e. if(){}

Similarly, function expressions evaluate to a value. And one consequence (I assume?) is that they can be immediately invoked:

The next step is the thought "why have var myMainFunction = if we don't even use it!?".

The answer is simple: try removing this, such as below:

It won't work because "function declarations are not invokable".

The trick is that by removing var myMainFunction = we transformed the function expression into a function declaration. See the links in "Resources" for more details on this.

The next question is "why can't I keep it as a function expression with something other than var myMainFunction =?

The answer is "you can", and there are actually many ways you could do this: adding a +, a !, a -, or maybe wrapping in a pair of parenthesis (as it's now done by convention), and more I believe. As example:

One thing one might wonder is "what happens when you do NOT define the variable 'properly' inside the function -- i.e. do a simple assignment instead?"

Basically, if a variable that was not declared in its current scope is assigned a value, then "a look up the scope chain occurs until it finds the variable or hits the global scope (at which point it will create it)".

When in a browser environment (vs a server environment like nodejs) the global scope is defined by the window object. Hence we can do window.myOtherFunction().

My "Good practices" tip on this topic is to always use var when defining anything: whether it's a number, object or function, & even when in the global scope. This makes the code much simpler.

• javascript does not have block scope (Update: block scope local variables added in ES6.)
• javascript has only function scope & global scope (window scope in a browser environment)

sounds like you have the same problem i tried to solve here. in my case, it's a Linux fileserver (running samba, of course), so i can log in and see what process is locking the file; unfortunately, i haven't found how to close it without killing the responsible session. AFAICT, the windows client 'thinks' it's closed; but didn't bother telling the fileserver.

This worked for me. In the console section, go to the settings on top right. There select preserve log and Log XMLHttpsRequests.

Choose the build

The answer is that you Mouse over the icon for your build and at the end of the line you'll see a little colored minus in a circle. This removes the build and you can now click on the + sign and choose a new build for submitting.

As a general rule, pop up blockers target windows that launch without user interaction. Usually a click event can open a window without it being blocked. (unless it's a really bad popup blocker)

Its because either one of the Java versions(32 bit/64 bit) is missing from your computer. Try installing both the Jdks and run the code.

Take a look at the Python tutorial section 4.7.3 and 4.7.4. It talks about passing tuples as arguments.

Its .net Version mismatch of the dll so try changing to from in app.config or web.config. Generally have a higher Framework than lower because when we add system's dll to the lower version built .net application so it won't work therefore just change to the higher version

• git reset is specifically about updating the index, moving the HEAD.
• git checkout is about updating the working tree (to the index or the specified tree). It will update the HEAD only if you checkout a branch (if not, you end up with a detached HEAD).
  (actually, with Git 2.23 Q3 2019, this will be git restore, not necessarily git checkout)

By comparison, since svn has no index, only a working tree, svn checkout will copy a given revision on a separate directory.
The closer equivalent for git checkout would:

• svn update (if you are in the same branch, meaning the same SVN URL)
• svn switch (if you checkout for instance the same branch, but from another SVN repo URL)

All those three working tree modifications (svn checkout, update, switch) have only one command in git: git checkout.

For instance, if we have two branches, 'master' and 'develop' pointing at different commits, and we're currently on 'develop' (so HEAD points to it) and we run git reset master, 'develop' itself will now point to the same commit that 'master' does.

On the other hand, if we instead run git checkout master, 'develop' will not move, HEAD itself will. HEAD will now point to 'master'.

So, in both cases we're moving HEAD to point to commit A, but how we do so is very different. reset will move the branch HEAD points to, checkout moves HEAD itself to point to another branch.

In my case I had removed a locale and generated another locale. Database failed to open because of fatal errors in the postgresql.conf file, on 'lc_messages', 'lc_monetary', 'lc_numberic', and 'lc_time'.

Restoring the locale sorted it out for me.

My solution was to run

Scenario: I updated the MySQL version on my Mac with 'homebrew upgrade'. Afterwards, some stuff worked, but other commands raised the error described in the question.

They are:

• print only takes one parameter, while echo can have multiple parameters.
• print returns a value (1), so can be used as an expression.
• echo is slightly faster.

Only, if they accept different parameters. If there are no parameters, then you must have different names.

Returns a {@code List} of the objects in the specified array. The size of the {@code List} cannot be modified, i.e. adding and removing are unsupported, but the elements can be set. Setting an element modifies the underlying array.

This is from Java 6 but it looks like it is the same for the android java.

The type of the resulting list is Arrays.ArrayList, which is a private class inside Arrays.class. Practically speaking, it is nothing but a List-view on the array that you've passed with Arrays.asList. With a consequence: if you change the array, the list is changed too. And because an array is not resizeable, remove and add operation must be unsupported.

Optionally you can use database function for date/time formatting. For example in MySQL query use:

Note that if you've got your filesystem mounted with noatime for performance reasons, then the atime will likely show the creation time. Given that noatime results in a massive performance boost (by removing a disk write for every time a file is read), it may be a sensible configuration option that also gives you the results you want.

I've never been happy with the way anybody explains this.

The key to understanding closures is to understand what JS would be like without closures.

Without closures, this would throw an error

function outerFunc(){

outerFunc()(); //returns inner function and fires it

Once outerFunc has returned in an imaginary closure-disabled version of JavaScript, the reference to outerVar would be garbage collected and gone leaving nothing there for the inner func to reference.

Closures are essentially the special rules that kick in and make it possible for those vars to exist when an inner function references an outer function's variables. With closures the vars referenced are maintained even after the outer function is done or 'closed' if that helps you remember the point.

Even with closures, the life cycle of local vars in a function with no inner funcs that reference its locals works the same as it would in a closure-less version. When the function is finished, the locals get garbage collected.

Once you have a reference in an inner func to an outer var, however it's like a doorjamb gets put in the way of garbage collection for those referenced vars.

A perhaps more accurate way to look at closures, is that the inner function basically uses the inner scope as its own scope foudnation.

But the context referenced is in fact, persistent, not like a snapshot. Repeatedly firing a returned inner function that keeps incrementing and logging an outer function's local var will keep alerting higher values.

It is more efficient to send the files directly.

The base64 encoding of Content-Type: multipart/form-data adds an extra 33% overhead. If the server supports it, it is more efficient to send the files directly:

Webkit browsers (not sure about FireBug) allow you to copy the HTML of an element easily, so that's one part of the process out of the way.

Running this (in the javascript console) prior to copying the HTML for an element will move all the computed styles for the parent element given, as well as all child elements, into the inline style attribute which will then be available as part of the HTML.

• If you are going to be switching in and out different videos, you can use AVPlayerItem.

It's not a matter of pixels count, it's a matter of actual size (in mm or inches) of characters on the screen, which depends on pixels density. Hence "min-width:" and "max-width:" are useless. A full explanation of this issue is here: what exactly is device pixel ratio?

"@media" queries take into account the pixels count and the device pixel ratio, resulting in a "virtual resolution" which is what you have to actually take into account while designing your page: if your font is 10px fixed-width and the "virtual horizontal resolution" is 300 px, 30 characters will be needed to fill a line.

Actually what you are searching is: Optional.map. Your code would then look like:

I would rather omit passing the Optional if you can. In the end you gain nothing using an Optional here. A slightly other variant:

Another approach if you want to use a varying portion of the dataset instead of a single value is to use rollapply(data, width, FUN, ...). Using a vector of widths allows you to apply a function on a varying window of the dataset. I've used this to build an adaptive filtering routine, though it isn't very efficient.

Also, request parameters can be optional, and as of Spring 4.3.3 path variables can be optional as well. Beware though, this might change the URL path hierarchy and introduce request mapping conflicts. For example, would /user/invoices provide the invoices for user null or details about a user with ID "invoices"?

Please note that whenever you use

regexp_like(column, '[A-Z]')

Oracle's regexp engine will match certain characters from the Latin-1 range as well: this applies to all characters that look similar to ASCII characters like Ä->A, Ö->O, Ü->U, etc., so that [A-Z] is not what you know from other environments like, say, Perl.

Instead of fiddling with regular expressions try changing for the NVARCHAR2 datatype prior to character set upgrade.

Another approach: instead of cutting away part of the fields' contents you might try the SOUNDEX function, provided your database contains European characters (i.e. Latin-1) characters only. Or you just write a function that translates characters from the Latin-1 range into similar looking ASCII characters, like

Original answer (2012): I think that the Chosen library might also be useful. Its available in jQuery, Prototype and MooTools versions.

Attached is a screenshot of how the multi-select functionality looks in Chosen.

The jQuery find() is returning a jQuery object that wraps the DOM object. You should be able to work with that object to do what you'd like with the div.

A note about accessibility

Removing all focus rings a la :focus { outline: none; } or :focus { outline: 0; } is a known accessibility issue and is never recommended. Additionally, there are folks in the accessibility community who would rather you never remove a focus ring outline and instead make everything have a :focus style — either outline or box-shadow could be valid if styled appropriately.

Finally, some folks in the accessibility community believe developers should not implement :focus-visible on their websites until all browsers implement and expose a user preference which lets people pick whether all items should be focusable or not. I personally don't subscribe to this thinking, which is why I provided this solution that I feel is far better than the harmful :focus { outline:none }. I think :focus-visible is a happy medium between design concerns and accessibility concerns.

I wrote a (recursive) function to delete any row based on its primary key. I wrote this because I did not want to create my constraints as "on delete cascade". I wanted to be able to delete complex sets of data (as a DBA) but not allow my programmers to be able to cascade delete without thinking through all of the repercussions. I'm still testing out this function, so there may be bugs in it -- but please don't try it if your DB has multi column primary (and thus foreign) keys. Also, the keys all have to be able to be represented in string form, but it could be written in a way that doesn't have that restriction. I use this function VERY SPARINGLY anyway, I value my data too much to enable the cascading constraints on everything. Basically this function is passed in the schema, table name, and primary value (in string form), and it will start by finding any foreign keys on that table and makes sure data doesn't exist-- if it does, it recursively calls itsself on the found data. It uses an array of data already marked for deletion to prevent infinite loops. Please test it out and let me know how it works for you. Note: It's a little slow. As Mystere Man suggested, getting just a view first and then again making an ajax call again to get the json result is unnecessary in this case. that is 2 calls to the server. I think you can directly return an HTML table of Users in the first call.

We will do this in this way. We will have a strongly typed view which will return the markup of list of users to the browser and this data is being supplied by an action method which we will invoke from our browser using an http request.

Have a ViewModel for the User

From that error, I would say that your code is fine, at least the part that calls the webservice. The error seems to be in the actual web service.

To get the error from the web server, add a try catch and catch a WebException. A WebException has a property called Response which is a HttpResponse. you can then log anything that is returned, and upload you code. Check back later in the logs and see what is actually being returned.

You can use rake db:reset when you want to drop the local database and start fresh with data loaded from db/seeds.rb. This is a useful command when you are still figuring out your schema, and often need to add fields to existing models.

Once the reset command is used it will do the following: Drop the database: rake db:drop Load the schema: rake db:schema:load Seed the data: rake db:seed

But if you want to completely drop your database you can use rake db:drop. Dropping the database will also remove any schema conflicts or bad data. If you want to keep the data you have, be sure to back it up before running this command.

result will contain differences between tables, in column _tabloc you will have table reference.

It is sometimes useful to force the use of a tab, if the user likes that. As Prakash stated above, this is sometimes dictated by the use of a non-user-initiated event, but there are ways around that.

Thanks to @RubberDuck's comment and @Emil's answer I was able to figure out what the problem was. The IDs of most elements in my XML file were exactly the same. So, I renamed each and every one of them. Also, my XML file contained capital letters. The filename should be in [a-z0-9_] so I renamed my files too and the problem was solved.

In a terminal emulator like konsole or gnome-terminal, you should to set a 256 color setting for vim.

:set  t_Co=256

After that you can to change your background.

With Winforms you can use Form.BackColor to do this.

2. Open URL in Firefox
3. Press F12 to open Firepath developer instance

6. in the xpath textbox you will get xpath of an object/element.
7. Copy Paste xpath to the script.

You can also use a CSS selector instead of xpath. CSS selectors are slightly faster than xpath in most cases, and are usually preferred over xpath (if there isn't an ID attribute on the elements you're interacting with).

Firepath can also capture the object's locator as a CSS selector if you move your cursor to the object. You'll have to update your code to use the equivalent find by CSS selector method instead -

You can turn an array into a stream by using Arrays.stream():

A good example of this casting is using *= or /=

While all the proposals for multiple resource sets may work, the problem is that the current logic for the Android Studio Gradle plug-in will not update the resource files after they have changed for nested resource sets. The current implementation attempts to check the resource directories using startsWith(), so a directory structure that is nested (i.e. src/main/res/layout/layouts and src/main/res/layout/layouts_category2) will choose src/main/res/layout/layouts consistently and never actually update the changes. The end result is that you have to rebuild/clean the project each time.

I submitted a patch at https://android-review.googlesource.com/#/c/157971/ to try to help resolve things.

The negation operator in Python is not. Therefore just replace your ! with not.

For your example, do this:

For your specific example (as Neil said in the comments), you don't have to use the subprocess module, you can simply use os.mkdir() to get the result you need, with added exception handling goodness.
