For android:

Make changes in <project location>\platforms\android\ant-build\res and not <project location>\platforms\android\res

For some people making changes in the latter location may have worked, but having noticed Phonegap copying from \android\res into \android\ant-build\res, I decided to check in there and found a separate set of drawable folders containing the default phonegap icon.

Changing those finally worked.

Since I'm building and running locally and not using Adobe PhoneGap Build, changing icons in <project location>\www\res\icon\android didn't work either.

The fields of your object have in turn their fields, some of which do not implement Serializable. In your case the offending class is TransformGroup. How to solve it?

• if the class is yours, make it Serializable
• if the class is 3rd party, but you don't need it in the serialized form, mark the field as transient
• if you need its data and it's third party, consider other means of serialization, like JSON, XML, BSON, MessagePack, etc. where you can get 3rd party objects serialized without modifying their definitions.

Don't use opacity for this, set the background to an RGBA-value instead to only make the background semi-transparent. In your case it would be like this.

Yet another possibility, up to the last note of the OP, is to compare the hashes (SHA or MD) of the dicts dumped as JSON. The way hashes are constructed guarantee that if they are equal, the source strings are equal as well. This is very fast and mathematically sound.

A decimal(9,6) stores 6 digits on the right side of the comma. Whether to display trailing zeroes or not is a formatting decision, usually implemented on the client side.

But since SSMS formats float without trailing zeros, you can remove trailing zeroes by casting the decimal to a float:

One thing worth mentioning for xsl and xpath die hards to note is that it IS possible to still execute arbitrary xpath 1.0 expressions on Linq 2 Xml XNodes by including:

I had UnnecessaryStubbingException when I tried to use the when methods on a Spy object. Mockito.lenient() silenced the exception but the test results were not correct.

MySQL

In MySQL, the regex syntax is the following:

SELECT * FROM YourTable WHERE (`url` NOT REGEXP '^[-A-Za-z0-9/.]+$') 

Use the REGEXP clause instead of LIKE. The latter is for pattern matching using % and _ wildcards.

SQL Server

Since you made a typo, and you're using SQL Server (not MySQL), you'll have to create a user-defined CLR function to expose regex functionality.

Take a look at this article for more details.

Have you got the driver installed? If you go into Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools and click the Data Sources, then select the Drivers tab your driver info should be registered there.

Failing that it may be easier to simply set up a DSN connection to test with.

You can define multiple connection strings of course and set-up a 'mode' for working on different machines.

This is the reason behind this error:

It will look for how the database that you are using generates ids. For MySql or HSQSL, there are increment fields that automatically increment. In Postgres or Oracle, they use sequence tables. Since you didn't specify a sequence table name, it will look for a sequence table named hibernate_sequence and use it for default. So you probably don't have such a sequence table in your database and now you get that error.

If you're creating a framework the whole idea is to make it portable. Tying a framework to the app delegate defeats the purpose of building a framework. What is it you need the app delegate for?

• Always use -r with read.
• There is no need to use cut, you can stick with pure bash solutions.
  • In this case passing read a 2nd var (_) to catch the additional "fields"
• Prefer [[ ]] over [ ].

Removes trailing returns when importing from Excel. When you execute this, you may receive an error that there is no WHERE; ignore and execute.

When you write a lambda expression, the argument list to the left of -> can be either a parenthesized argument list (possibly empty), or a single identifier without any parentheses. But in the second form, the identifier cannot be declared with a type name. Thus:

In case you are trying to log all errors make sure you keep Task.WhenAll line in your code, lot of comments suggest that you can remove it and wait for individual tasks. Task.WhenAll is really important for error handling. Without this line you potentially leaving your code open for unobserved exceptions.

Imagine FeedCat throws exception in the following code:

In that case you will never await on houseTask nor carTask. There are 3 possible scenarios here:

1. SellHouse is already completed successfully when FeedCat failed. In this case you are fine.

2. SellHouse is not complete and fails with exception at some point. Exception is not observed and will be rethrown on finalizer thread.

3. SellHouse is not complete and contains awaits inside it. In case your code runs in ASP.NET SellHouse will fail as soon as some of the awaits will completed inside it. This happens because you basically made fire & forget call and synchronization context was lost as soon as FeedCat failed.

Here is error that you will get for case (3):

For .NET 4.0 and later you can catch unobserved exceptions using TaskScheduler.UnobservedTaskException. For .NET 4.5 and later unobserved exceptions are swallowed by default for .NET 4.0 unobserved exception will crash your process.

I 've experienced this problem on Eclipse Juno, the root cause was that although some spring jars were being included by transient maven dependencies they were included in incorrect versions.

So you should check if using a modularized framework as spring that every module (or at least the most important: core, beans, context, aop, tx, etc.) are in the same version.

To solve the problem I 've used maven dependnecy exclusions to avoid incorrect version of transient dependencies.

To call a sub inside another sub you only need to do:

As the which runs first problem it's for you to decide, when you want to run a sub you can go to the macro list select the one you want to run and run it, you can also give it a key shortcut, therefore you will only have to press those keys to run it. Although, on secondary subs, I usually do it as Private sub CalculateA(...) cause this way it does not appear in the macro list and it's easier to work

If you are new to Active Directory, I suggest you should understand how Active Directory stores data first.

Active Directory is actually a LDAP server. Objects stored in LDAP server are stored hierarchically. It's very similar to you store your files in your file system. That's why it got the name Directory server and Active Directory

The containers and objects on Active Directory can be specified by a distinguished name. The distinguished name is like this CN=SomeName,CN=SomeDirectory,DC=yourdomain,DC=com. Like a traditional relational database, you can run query against a LDAP server. It's called LDAP query.

There are a number of ways to run a LDAP query in .NET. You can use DirectorySearcher from System.DirectoryServices or SearchRequest from System.DirectoryServices.Protocol.

For your question, since you are asking to find user principal object specifically, I think the most intuitive way is to use PrincipalSearcher from System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement. You can easily find a lot of different examples from google. Here is a sample that is doing exactly what you are asking for.

Note that on the AD user object, there are a number of attributes. In particular, givenName will give you the First Name and sn will give you the Last Name. About the user name. I think you meant the user logon name. Note that there are two logon names on AD user object. One is samAccountName, which is also known as pre-Windows 2000 user logon name. userPrincipalName is generally used after Windows 2000.

I had the same problem. So I took the source code of java.util.TreeMap and wrote IndexedTreeMap. It implements my own IndexedNavigableMap:

TreeSet/TreeMap (as well as their indexed counterparts from the indexed-tree-map project) do not allow duplicate keys , you can use 1 key for an array of values. If you need a SortedSet with duplicates use TreeMap with values as arrays. I would do that.

You are making a JSONP request, but the server is responding with JSON.

The browser is refusing to try to treat the JSON as JSONP because it would be a security risk. (If the browser did try to treat the JSON as JSONP then it would, at best, fail).

See this question for more details on what JSONP is. Note that is a nasty hack to work around the Same Origin Policy that was used before CORS was available. CORS is a much cleaner, safer, and more powerful solution to the problem.

It looks like you are trying to make a cross-origin request and are throwing everything you can think of at it in one massive pile of conflicting instructions.

You need to understand how the Same Origin policy works.

Various browsers (mis)handle this in various ways. Using title (an old IE 'standard') isn't particularly appropriate, since the title attribute is a mouseover effect. The jQuery solution above (Alexis) seems on the right track, but I don't think the 'error' occurs at a point where it could be caught. The ability of the interpreter to deduce type and type conversions makes development time faster, but it also can provoke runtime failures which you just cannot get in a statically typed language where you catch them at compile time. But which one's better (or even if that's always true) is hotly discussed in the community these days (and since a long time).

A good take on the issue is from Static Typing Where Possible, Dynamic Typing When Needed: The End of the Cold War Between Programming Languages by Erik Meijer and Peter Drayton at Microsoft:

Advocates of static typing argue that the advantages of static typing include earlier detection of programming mistakes (e.g. preventing adding an integer to a boolean), better documentation in the form of type signatures (e.g. incorporating number and types of arguments when resolving names), more opportunities for compiler optimizations (e.g. replacing virtual calls by direct calls when the exact type of the receiver is known statically), increased runtime efficiency (e.g. not all values need to carry a dynamic type), and a better design time developer experience (e.g. knowing the type of the receiver, the IDE can present a drop-down menu of all applicable members). A container exits when its main process exits. Doing something like:

docker run -itd debian

to hold the container open is frankly a hack that should only be used for quick tests and examples. If you just want a container for testing for a few minutes, I would do:

docker run -d debian sleep 300

Which has the advantage that the container will automatically exit if you forget about it. Alternatively, you could put something like this in a while loop to keep it running forever, or just run an application such as top. All of these should be easy to do in Kubernetes.

This can be done by cloning to a new directory, then moving the .git directory into your existing directory.

If your existing directory is named "code".

As @Alexander solves, the issue is one of async data load - you're rendering immediately and you will not have participants loaded until the async ajax call resolves and populates data with participants.

Now, lots of things changed in security, especially that JWT is getting popular. In this answer, I will try to explain how to use JWT in the simplest and basic way that I can, so we won't get lost from jungle of OWIN, Oauth2, ASP.NET Identity... :)

If you don't know about JWT tokens, you need to take a look at:

Basically, a JWT token looks like this:

A JWT token has three sections:

3. Signature: Created and signed based on Header and Claims which is encoded in Base64.

If you use the website jwt.io with the token above, you can decode the token and see it like below:

Technically, JWT uses a signature which is signed from headers and claims with security algorithm specified in the headers (example: HMACSHA256). Therefore, JWT must be transferred over HTTPs if you store any sensitive information in its claims.

Now, in order to use JWT authentication, you don't really need an OWIN middleware if you have a legacy Web Api system. The simple concept is how to provide JWT token and how to validate the token when the request comes. That's it.

In the demo I've created (github), to keep the JWT token lightweight, I only store username and expiration time. But this way, you have to re-build new local identity (principal) to add more information like roles, if you want to do role authorization, etc. But, if you want to add more information into JWT, it's up to you: it's very flexible.

Instead of using OWIN middleware, you can simply provide a JWT token endpoint by using a controller action:

How to validate the JWT when the request comes?

In the demo, I have built JwtAuthenticationAttribute which inherits from IAuthenticationFilter (more detail about authentication filter in here).

With this attribute, you can authenticate any action: you just have to put this attribute on that action.

The workflow is to use the JWT library (NuGet package above) to validate the JWT token and then return back ClaimsPrincipal. You can perform more validation, like check whether user exists on your system, and add other custom validations if you want.

If the JWT token is validated and the principal is returned, you should build a new local identity and put more information into it to check role authorization.

Remember to add config.Filters.Add(new AuthorizeAttribute()); (default authorization) at global scope in order to prevent any anonymous request to your resources.

Like bgporter said: Python strings are immutable, and so, in order to modify a string you have to make use of the pieces you already have.

In the following example I insert 'Fu' in to 'Kong Panda', to create 'Kong Fu Panda'

This is a well-known problem with Java type erasure: T is just a type variable, and you must indicate actual class, usually as Class argument. Without such information, best that can be done is to use bounds; and plain T is roughly same as 'T extends Object'. And Jackson will then bind JSON Objects as Maps.

Performance testing

At first glance it seems that repeat is the fastest way to create a list with n identical elements:

But wait - it's not a fair test...

The function itertools.repeat doesn't actually create the list, it just creates an object that can be used to create a list if you wish! Let's try that again, but converting to a list:

So if you want a list, use [e] * n. If you want to generate the elements lazily, use repeat.

Google Firebase is Google's latest(2016) way to provide you with crash/error data on your phone. Include it in your build.gradle file :

The official naming conventions aren't that strict, they don't even 'forbid' camel case notation except for prefix (com in your example).

But I personally would avoid upper case letters and hyphenations, even numbers. I'd choose com.stackoverflow.mypackage like Bragboy suggested too.

(hyphenations '-' are not legal in package names)

Interesting - the language specification has something to say about naming conventions too.

In Chapter 7.7 Unique Package Names we see examples with package names that consist of upper case letters (so CamelCase notation would be OK) and they suggest to replace hyphonation by an underscore ("mary-lou" -> "mary_lou") and prefix java keywords with an underscore ("com.example.enum" -> "com.example._enum")

Some more examples for upper case letters in package names can be found in chapter 6.8.1 Package Names.

Casting int to char involves losing data and the compiler will probably warn you.

Extracting a particular byte from an int sounds more reasonable and can be done like this:

I could open everything in Firefox or Opera but not IE. I finally tried PDF-Viewer, set it as the default pdf viewer in its preferences and no more problems. I'm sure there are other free viewers out there, like Foxit, PDF-Xchange, etc., that will give better results than Reader with less headaches. Adobe is like some of the other big companies that develop software on a take it or leave it basis ... so I left it.

In my case i have to concatenate all the account number of a person who's mobile number is unique. So i have used the following query to achieve that.

The Answer by Ortomala Lokni for using java.time is correct. And you should be using java.time as it is a gigantic improvement over the old java.util.Date/.Calendar classes. See the Oracle Tutorial on java.time.

I'll add some code showing how to use java.time without regard to java.util.Date, for when you are starting out with fresh code.

Using java.time in a nutshell… An Instant is a moment on the timeline in UTC. Apply a time zone (ZoneId) to get a ZonedDateTime.

The Month class is a sophisticated enum to represent a month in general. That enum has handy methods such as getting a localized name. And rest assured that the month number in java.time is a sane one, 1-12, not the zero-based nonsense (0-11) found in java.util.Date/.Calendar.

To get the current date-time, time zone is crucial. At any moment the date is not the same around the world. Therefore the month is not the same around the world if near the ending/beginning of the month.

Apple Watch (speculative)

Specs on the Watch are still a bit speculative since (as far as I'm aware) there has been no official spec sheet yet. But Apple did mention in this press release that the Watch will be available in two sizes.. 38mm and 42mm.

There is the question whether we want to differentiate between cases:

1. "phone" : "" = the value is empty

2. "phone" : null = the value for "phone" was not set yet

If we want differentiate I would use null for this. Otherwise we would need to add a new field like "isAssigned" or so. This is an old Database issue.

What's the default superuser username/password for postgres after a new install?:

CAUTION The answer about changing the UNIX password for "postgres" through "$ sudo passwd postgres" is not preferred, and can even be DANGEROUS!

This is why: By default, the UNIX account "postgres" is locked, which means it cannot be logged in using a password. If you use "sudo passwd postgres", the account is immediately unlocked. The accepted answer of this post will cause error in the case when the string length is lest than 5. So i have a better solution. We can use this simple code :

Just if someone is having this issue and hadn't done list[index, sub-index], you could be having the problem because you're missing a comma between two arrays in an array of arrays (It happened to me).

I believe this deserves a modern async-await answer, assuming node >= 7.x is used.

The answer still uses ReadLine::question but wraps it so that the while (done) {} is possible, which is something the OP asks about explicitely.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I came across this thread before I found the answer I was looking for and thought I'd share. If you are using SQLExpress (or localdb) there is a simpler way to find your instance names. At a command line type:

> sqllocaldb i

This will list the instance names you have installed locally. So your full server name should include (localdb)\ in front of the instance name to connect. Also, sqllocaldb allows you to create new instances or delete them as well as configure them. See: SqlLocalDB Utility.

I know this question is old but I thought I would share this as I could not find anything similar.

I wanted to create my views/models as normal using Razor and have them rendered as Pdfs.

This way I had control over the pdf presentation using standard html output rather than figuring out how to layout the document using iTextSharp.

I've used this process to attach a 3rd party Jar to an Android project in IDEA.

• Copy the Jar to your libs/ directory
• Open Project Settings (Ctrl Alt Shift S)
• Under the Project Settings panel on the left, choose Modules
• On the larger right pane, choose the Dependencies tab
• Press the Add... button on the far right of the screen (if you have a smaller screen like me, you may have to drag resize to the right in order to see it)
• From the dropdown of Add options, choose "Library". A "Choose Libraries" dialog will appear.
• Press "New Library..."
• Choose a suitable title for the library
• Press "Attach Classes..."
• Choose the Jar from your libs/ directory, and press OK to dismiss

The library should now be recognised.

DSO here means Dynamic Shared Object; since the error message says it's missing from the command line, I guess you have to add it to the command line.

You're thinking too DOM, it's a hard as hell habit to break. Vue recommends you approach it data first.

It's kind of hard to tell in your exact situation but I'd probably use a v-for and make an array of finds to push to as I need more.

Docker for Mac is deprecated. And you don't need Homebrew to run Docker on Mac. Instead you'll likely want to install Docker Desktop or, if already installed, make sure it's up-to-date and running, then attempt to connect to the socket again.

First of all, don't try the following command as suggested by Germain above.

Unfortunately I have a unique build (stuck with Gentoo for the moment) of PHP 5.5, and what I found was that

All the answers above are making certain assumptions. There are basic problems in 1and1 and certain other hosting providers are using phpMyAdmin versions which are very old and have an issue that defined delimiter is ; and there is no way to change it from phpMyAdmin. Following are the ways

Boto 2's boto.s3.key.Key object used to have an exists method that checked if the key existed on S3 by doing a HEAD request and looking at the the result, but it seems that that no longer exists. You have to do it yourself:

load() does a HEAD request for a single key, which is fast, even if the object in question is large or you have many objects in your bucket.

Of course, you might be checking if the object exists because you're planning on using it. If that is the case, you can just forget about the load() and do a get() or download_file() directly, then handle the error case there.

This is because you are referring to property of controller named HttpContext. To access the current context use full class name:

WARNING! I have a very strong view on this subject.

.NET’s existing web clients are not developer friendly! WebRequest & WebClient are prime examples of "how to frustrate a developer". 1. Open https://console.cloud.google.com/cloud-resource-manager
2. Select the projects you want to remove
3. Click 'Remove'

If your cascading deletes nuke a product because it was a member of a category that was killed, then you've set up your foreign keys improperly. Given your example tables, you should have the following table setup:

       ON DELETE CASCADE
       ON UPDATE CASCADE

This way, you can delete a product OR a category, and only the associated records in categories_products will die alongside. The cascade won't travel farther up the tree and delete the parent product/category table.

e.g.

products: boots, mittens, hats, coats
categories: red, green, blue, white, black

prod/cats: red boots, green mittens, red coats, black hats

If you delete the 'red' category, then only the 'red' entry in the categories table dies, as well as the two entries prod/cats: 'red boots' and 'red coats'.

The delete will not cascade any farther and will not take out the 'boots' and 'coats' categories.

you're still misunderstanding how cascaded deletes work. They only affect the tables in which the "on delete cascade" is defined. In this case, the cascade is set in the "categories_products" table. If you delete the 'red' category, the only records that will cascade delete in categories_products are those where category_id = red. It won't touch any records where 'category_id = blue', and it would not travel onwards to the "products" table, because there's no foreign key defined in that table.

Here's a more concrete example:

Let's say you delete category #2 (blue):

DELETE FROM categories WHERE (id = 2);

the DBMS will look at all the tables which have a foreign key pointing at the 'categories' table, and delete the records where the matching id is 2. Since we only defined the foreign key relationship in products_categories, you end up with this table once the delete completes:

There's no foreign key defined in the products table, so the cascade will not work there, so you've still got boots and mittens listed. There's just no 'blue boots' and no 'blue mittens' anymore.
