I don't think we can say that a hash function is "good" without knowing your data in advance ! and without knowing what you're going to do with it.
There are better data structures than hash tables for unknown data sizes (I'm assuming you're doing the hashing for a hash table here ). I would personally use a hash table when I Know I have a "finite" number of elements that are needing stored in a limited amount of memory. I would try and do a quick statistical analysis on my data, see how it is distributed etc before I start thinking about my hash function.

I think you've missed the point of access control.
A quick recap on why CORS exists: Since JS code from a website can execute XHR, that site could potentially send requests to other sites, masquerading as you and exploiting the trust those sites have in you(e.g. if you have logged in, a malicious site could attempt to extract information or execute actions you never wanted) - this is called a CSRF attack. To prevent that, web browsers have very stringent limitations on what XHR you can send - you are generally limited to just your domain, and so on.
Now, sometimes it's useful for a site to allow other sites to contact it - sites that provide APIs or services, like the one you're trying to access, would be prime candidates. CORS was developed to allow site A(e.g. paste.ee
) to say "I trust site B, so you can send XHR from it to me". This is specified by site A sending "Access-Control-Allow-Origin" headers in its responses.
In your specific case, it seems that paste.ee
doesn't bother to use CORS. Your best bet is to contact the site owner and find out why, if you want to use paste.ee with a browser script. Alternatively, you could try using an extension(those should have higher XHR privileges).

There are two primary contenders for python apps on Android
This integrates with the Android build system, it provides a Python API for all android features. To quote the site "The complete Android API and user interface toolkit are directly at your disposal."
This provides a multi target transpiler, supports many targets such as Android and iOS. It uses a generic widget toolkit (toga) that maps to the host interface calls.
Both are active projects and their github accounts shows a fair amount of recent activity.
Beeware Toga like all widget libraries is good for getting the basics out to multiple platforms. If you have basic designs, and a desire to expand to other platforms this should work out well for you.
On the other hand, Chaquopy is a much more precise in its mapping of the python API to Android. It also allows you to mix in Java, useful if you want to use existing code from other resources. If you have strict design targets, and predominantly want to target Android this is a much better resource.
You can use git reset --soft

Guessing the problem
If you are saying your JavaScript alert box occurs before the page's content is visibly rendered, and therefore the page remains white (or still unrendered) when the alert box is dismissed by the user, then try using the Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(..) method instead because it runs the given client-side code when the page finishes loading - and its arguments are similar to what you're using already.
Also check for general JavaScript errors in the page - this is often seen by an error icon in the browser's status bar. Sometimes a JavaScript error will hold up or disturb unrelated elements on the page.

Whilst most browsers won't touch AVI, there are some browser builds that expose all the multimedia capabilities of the underlying OS to <video>
. These browser will indeed be able to play AVI, as long as they have matching codecs installed (AVI can contain about a million different video and audio formats). In particular Safari on OS X with QuickTime, or Konqi with GStreamer.
Personally I think this is an absolutely disastrous idea, as it exposes a very large codec codebase to the net, a codebase that was mostly not written to be resistant to network attacks. There's a couple of things to note before you do this. First, to get this error, in IE, inspect element, switch your tabs, and look for the errors, I believe "CSS3114" appears in the console.
What you need to understand is this is a licensing issue. I.E. (pun intended) if you are trying to load a font that causes this error, you don't have permissions on the file to use the font, and if you don't have permission, it is highly likely that you may lose a legal battle (which itself is highly unlikely) over using this font in this manner unless you are holding the license. What are non-recursive mutexes good for?
They are absolutely good when you have to make sure the mutex is unlocked before doing something. This is because pthread_mutex_unlock
can guarantee that the mutex is unlocked only if it is non-recursive.

No, Java doesn't have that ability.

Speaking of the installation, SQL Server 2008 allows you to set authentication mode (Windows or SQL Server) during the installation process. You will be forced to choose the strong password for sa user in the case if you choose sql server authentication mode during setup.
If you install SQL Server with Windows Authentication mode and want to change it, you need to do 2 different things:
Go to SQL Server Properties/Security tab and change the mode to SQL Server authentication mode
Go to security/logins, open SA login properties
a. Uncheck "Enforce password policy" and "Enforce password expiration" check box there if you decide to use weak password
b. Assign password to SA user
c. Open "Status" tab and enable login.
I don't need to mention that every action from above would violate security best practices that recommend to use windows authentication mode, have sa login disabled and use strong passwords especially for sa login.
It took me some time to figure out the whole picture and I'd like to share here.
Visual Studio has two approaches to use package restore: Automatic Package Restore and MSBuild-Integrated package restore. The 'MSBuild-Integrated Package Restore' restores packages DURING the building process that might cause issues in some scenarios. The 'Automatic Package Restore' is the recommended approach by the NuGet team.

Here's my suggested approach. It's not completely satisfactory (I'm very new to Swift and OOP!) but maybe someone can refine it. The idea is to have each enum provide its own range information as .first

3. No preemption: Not even God can force B or G to release Sorry or Accepting own mistake. And voluntarily? Are you kidding me??
4. Circular Wait: Again, the one holding sorry waits for other to accept own mistakes, and one holding accept own mistakes want other to say sorry first. So it's circular.
So deadlocks occur when all these conditions are in effect at the same time, and that's always the case in a couple fight ;)

To complicate matters further, there is such a thing as thread-local storage, and Unix shared memory.
Thread-local storage allows each thread to have a separate instance of global objects. The only time I've used it was when constructing an emulation environment on linux/windows, for application code that ran in an RTOS. In the RTOS each task was a process with it's own address space, in the emulation environment, each task was a thread (with a shared address space). By using TLS for things like singletons, we were able to have a separate instance for each thread, just like under the 'real' RTOS environment.
Shared memory can (obviously) give you the performance benefits of having multiple processes access the same memory, but at the cost/risk of having to synchronize the processes properly. One way to do that is have one process create a data structure in shared memory, and then send a handle to that structure via traditional inter-process communication (like a named pipe).

I had problems installing some Wordpress plugins on my local server running php56 on OSX10.11. They failed connection on the external API over SSL.
Installing openSSL didn't solved my problem. But then I figured out that CURL also needed to be reinstalled.
This solved my problem using Homebrew.

I resolved this issue by changing the Build System to legacy in xcode.
I had the same problem but the mentioned solutions above didn't work for me. Even I had no previous app on device, I got this error when deploying on my device.

I grouped into four sections to better highlight what is going on:
I choose to declare any instance variables / method arguments / mock collaborators here. If it is something used in multiple tests, consider making it an instance variable of the test class.
This is where you define the behavior of all of your mocks. You're setting up return values and expectations here, prior to executing the code under test. Generally speaking, if you set the mock behavior here you wouldn't need to verify the behavior later.
Nothing fancy here; this just kicks off the code being tested. I like to give it its own section to call attention to it.
This is when you call any method starting with verify
or assert
. After the test is over, you check that the things you wanted to have happen actually did happen. That is the biggest mistake I see with your test method; you attempted to verify the method call before it was ever given a chance to run. Second to that is you never specified which static method you wanted to verify.
This is mostly personal preference on my part. There is a certain order you need to do things in but within each grouping there is a little wiggle room. This helps me quickly separate out what is happening where.

The concerns with cryptography in client-side (browser) javascript are detailed below. All but one of these concerns does not apply to the WebCrypto API, which is now reasonably well supported.
For an offline app, you must still design and implement a secure keystore.
Aside: If you are using Node.js, use the builtin crypto API.
I presume the primary concern is someone with physical access to the computer reading the localStorage
for your site, and you want cryptography to help prevent that access.
If someone has physical access you are also open to attacks other and worse than reading. These include (but are not limited to): keyloggers, offline script modification, local script injection, browser cache poisoning, and DNS redirects. Those attacks only work if the user uses the machine after it has been compromised. Nevertheless, physical access in such a scenario means you have bigger problems.
So keep in mind that the limited scenario where local crypto is valuable would be if the machine is stolen.
There are libraries that do implement the desired functionality, e.g. Stanford Javascript Crypto Library. There are inherent weaknesses, though (as referred to in the link from @ircmaxell's answer):
Each of these weaknesses corresponds with a category of cryptographic compromise. In other words, while you may have "crypto" by name, it will be well below the rigour one aspires to in practice.
All that being said, the actuarial assessment is not as trivial as "Javascript crypto is weak, do not use it". This is not an endorsement, strictly a caveat and it requires you to completely understand the exposure of the above weaknesses, the frequency and cost of the vectors you face, and your capacity for mitigation or insurance in the event of failure: Javascript crypto, in spite of its weaknesses, may reduce your exposure but only against thieves with limited technical capacity. However, you should presume Javascript crypto has no value against a determined and capable attacker who is targeting that information. Some would consider it misleading to call the data "encrypted" when so many weaknesses are known to be inherent to the implementation. In other words, you can marginally decrease your technical exposure but you increase your financial exposure from disclosure. Each situation is different, of course - and the analysis of reducing the technical exposure to financial exposure is non-trivial. Here is an illustrative analogy: Some banks require weak passwords, in spite of the inherent risk, because their exposure to losses from weak passwords is less than the end-user costs of supporting strong passwords.
If you read the last paragraph and thought "Some guy on the Internet named Brian says I can use Javascript crypto", do not use Javascript crypto.
For the use case described in the question it would seem to make more sense for users to encrypt their local partition or home directory and use a strong password. That type of security is generally well tested, widely trusted, and commonly available.
You should not attempt to parse HTML with regex. HTML is not a regular language, so any regex you come up with will likely fail on some esoteric edge case. Please refer to the seminal answer to this question for specifics. While mostly formatted as a joke, it makes a very good point.
