All the stuff about .on() and .one() is great, and jquery is great.

But sometimes, you want it to be a little more obvious that the user isn't allowed to click, and in those cases you could do something like this:

Even though Logger.log() is technically the correct way to output something to the console, it has a few annoyances:

1. The output can be an unstructured mess and hard to quickly digest.
2. You have to first run the script, then click View / Logs, which is two extra clicks (one if you remember the Ctrl+Enter keyboard shortcut).
3. You have to insert Logger.log(playerArray), and then after debugging you'd probably want to remove Logger.log(playerArray), hence an additional 1-2 more steps.
4. You have to click on OK to close the overlay (yet another extra click).

Instead, whenever I want to debug something I add breakpoints (click on line number) and press the Debug button (bug icon). Breakpoints work well when you are assigning something to a variable, but not so well when you are initiating a variable and want to peek inside of it at a later point, which is similar to what the op is trying to do. In this case, I would force a break condition by entering "x" (x marks the spot!) to throw a run-time error:

The Debug console contains more information and is a lot easier to read than the Logs overlay. One minor benefit with this method is that you never have to worry about polluting your code with a bunch of logging commands if keeping clean code is your thing. Even if you enter "x", you are forced to remember to remove it as part of the debugging process or else your code won't run (built-in cleanup measure, yay).

After hours of googling: No, it's not possible without JavaScript. The animation-iteration-count: 1; is internally saved in the animation shothand attribute, which gets resetted and overwritten on :hover. When we blur the <a> and release the :hover the old class reapplies and therefore again resets the animation attribute.

There sadly is no way to save a certain attribute states across element states.

You have to do this because vector is defined in the std namespace and you do not tell your program to find it in std namespace, you need to tell that.

In the current C++0x standard you can explicitly disable default constructors with the delete syntax, e.g.

Careful when doing division, by default the quotient is turned into float, but float does not support such large numbers. It's been a little while since I coded with selenium, but your code looks ok to me. One thing to note is that if the element is not found, but the timeout is passed, I think the code will continue to execute. So you can do something like this:

What does the above boolean return? And are you sure selenium actually navigates to the expected page? (That may sound like a silly question but are you actually watching the pages change... selenium can be run remotely you know...)

Please check your id names, "poll" and "post" are very different.

Using double ampersands will run the second command, only if the first one succeeds:

You are using a wrong format in your cookie file. As curl documentation states, it uses an old Netscape cookie file format, which is different from the format used by web browsers. If you need to create a curl cookie file manually, this post should help you. In your example the file should contain following line

The history limit is a pane attribute that is fixed at the time of pane creation and cannot be changed for existing panes. The value is taken from the history-limit session option (the default value is 2000).

To create a pane with a different value you will need to set the appropriate history-limit option before creating the pane.

To establish a different default, you can put a line like the following in your .tmux.conf file:

set-option -g history-limit 3000

Note: Be careful setting a very large default value, it can easily consume lots of RAM if you create many panes.

First you need to set a reference (Menu: Tools->References) to the Microsoft Excel Object Library then you can access all Excel Objects.

After you added the Reference you have full access to all Excel Objects. You need to add Excel in front of everything for example:

If you use the flask executable to start your server, you can use flask run --host=0.0.0.0 to change the default from 127.0.0.1 and open it up to non local connections. The config and app.run methods that the other answers describe are probably better practice but this can be handy as well.

Externally Visible Server If you run the server you will notice that the server is only accessible from your own computer, not from any other in the network. This is the default because in debugging mode a user of the application can execute arbitrary Python code on your computer.

As string data types have variable length, it is by default stored as object type. I faced this problem after treating missing values too. Converting all those columns to type 'category' before label encoding worked in my case.

Stop seeding the generator every time. Pull the srand call out of the loop

1. Identify "project navigator" or "package explorer" view.
   Right click on your project, select Build Path --> Configure build Path.

Yes. You can use reg.exe which comes with the OS to add, delete or query registry values. Reg.exe does not have an explicit modify command, but you can do it by doing delete and then add.

If we are using the UIImagePickerController as a property, then this warning will disappear. xcode assume that we are not using the result from the UIImagePickerController , if we are instantiating the UIImagePickerController within a function.

Benefits

You have 2 modes of running your application: Debug and Production. You have to list the column name twice, even if you aren't changing its name.

Note that after you make this change, the data type of the column will be MEDIUMTEXT.

Miky D is correct, the MODIFY command can do this more concisely.

Re the MEDIUMTEXT thing: a MySQL row can be only 65535 bytes (not counting BLOB/TEXT columns). If you try to change a column to be too large, making the total size of the row 65536 or greater, you may get an error. If you try to declare a column of VARCHAR(65536) then it's too large even if it's the only column in that table, so MySQL automatically converts it to a MEDIUMTEXT data type.

I misread your original question, you want VARCHAR(65353), which MySQL can do, as long as that column size summed with the other columns in the table doesn't exceed 65535.

Enum.values

The .values() method is an implicitly declared method on Enum, added by the compiler. It produces a crude array rather than a Collection. Certainly usable.

Special note about documentation: Being unusual as an implicitly declared method, the .values() method is not listed among the methods on the Enum class. The method is defined in the Java Language Specification, and is mentioned in the doc for Enum.valueOf.

EnumSet – Fast & Small

The upsides to EnumSet include:

• Extreme speed.
• Compact use of memory.

To quote the class doc:

Enum sets are represented internally as bit vectors. This representation is extremely compact and efficient. The space and time performance of this class should be good enough to allow its use as a high-quality, typesafe alternative to traditional int-based "bit flags." The doc promises the Iterator for EnumSet is in natural order, the order in which the values of the enum were originally declared.

Frankly, given this promise, I'm confused why this is not a SortedSet. But, oh well, good enough. We can create a List from the Set if desired. Pass any Collection to constructor of ArrayList and that collection’s Iterator is automatically called on your behalf.

First, there is a problem in your Dockerfile:

RUN service mysql restart && /tmp/setup.sh

Docker images do not save running processes. Therefore, your RUN command executes only during docker build phase and stops after the build is completed. Instead, you need to specify the command when the container is started using the CMD or ENTRYPOINT commands like below:

CMD mysql start

Secondly, the docker container needs a process (last command) to keep running, otherwise the container will exit/stop. Therefore, the normal service mysql start command cannot be used directly in the Dockerfile.

Solution

There are three typical ways to keep the process running:

• Using service command and append non-end command after that like tail -F

  CMD service mysql start && tail -F /var/log/mysql/error.log
  

This is often preferred when you have a single service running as it makes the outputted log accessible to docker.

• Or use foreground command to do this

  CMD /usr/bin/mysqld_safe
  

This works only if there is a script like mysqld_safe.

• Or wrap your scripts into start.sh and put this in end

  CMD /start.sh
  

This is best if the command must perform a series of steps, again, /start.sh should stay running.

Note

For the beginner using supervisord is not recommended. Honestly, it is overkill. It is much better to use single service / single command for the container.

That div.cell solution didn't actually work on my IPython, however luckily someone suggested a working solution for new IPythons:

In case this is useful to anyone I had this same issue. I was bringing in a footer into a web page via jQuery. Inside that footer were some Google scripts for ads and retargeting. I had to move those scripts from the footer and place them directly in the page and that eliminated the notice.

I'm late to the party here, but if you're dealing with integers of a fixed length you can just do integer comparison:

You can get deadlocks on more than just row locks, e.g. see this. The scripts may be competing for other resources, such as index blocks.

I've gotten around this in the past by engineering the parallelism in such a way that different instances are working on portions of the workload that are less likely to affect blocks that are close to each other; for example, for an update of a large table, instead of setting up the parallel slaves using something like MOD(n,10), I'd use TRUNC(n/10) which mean that each slave worked on a contiguous set of data.

There are, of course, much better ways of splitting up a job for parallelism, e.g. DBMS_PARALLEL_EXECUTE.

Not sure why you're getting "PL/SQL successfully completed", perhaps your scripts are handling the exception?

in my case, I got the same exception because the user that I configured in the app did not existed in the DB, creating the user and granting needed permissions solved the problem.

I will comment on the creating log part, though. Imo there is no correct way. When coding loggers manually I do it the way you're doing it:

You need to add annotations to the Junit class, telling it to use the SpringJunitRunner. The ones you want are:

I have tried xlrd, pandas, openpyxl and other such libraries and all of them seem to take exponential time as the file size increase as it reads the entire file. The other solutions mentioned above where they used 'on_demand' did not work for me. If you just want to get the sheet names initially, the following function works for xlsx files.

Since all xlsx are basically zipped files, we extract the underlying xml data and read sheet names from the workbook directly which takes a fraction of a second as compared to the library functions.

Benchmarking: (On a 6mb xlsx file with 4 sheets)
Pandas, xlrd: 12 seconds
openpyxl: 24 seconds
Proposed method: 0.4 seconds

Since my requirement was just reading the sheet names, the unnecessary overhead of reading the entire time was bugging me so I took this route instead.

jQuery 'fixes up' events to account for browser differences. When it does so, you can always access the 'native' event with event.originalEvent (see the Special Properties subheading on this page).

If this isn't a good solution for any reason, please let me know. It worked fine for me.

This is an issue with your stored credentials in the system credential cache. You probably have the config variable 'credential.helper' set to either wincred or winstore and it is failing to clear it. If you start the Control Panel and launch the Credential Manager applet then look for items in the generic credentials section labelled "git:https://github.com". The Content-Type header is just used as info for your application. The browser doesn't care what it is. The browser just returns you the data from the AJAX call. If you want to parse it as JSON, you need to do that on your own.

The header is there so your app can detect what data was returned and how it should handle it. You need to look at the header, and if it's application/json then parse it as JSON.

This is actually how jQuery works. If you don't tell it what to do with the result, it uses the Content-Type to detect what to do with it.

All these answers seem a bit heavy to me.

If you just flat out remove the '\n' and move everything else back a spot, you are liable to have some characters slammed together in a weird-looking way. So why not just do the simple (and most efficient) thing: Replace all '\n's with spaces?

To explain, why your code does not work:

The second parameter of SftpClient.DownloadFile is a stream to write a downloaded contents to.

You are passing in a read stream instead of a write stream. And moreover the path you are opening read stream with is a remote path, what cannot work with File class operating on local files only.

Just discard the File.OpenRead line and use a result of previous File.OpenWrite call instead (that you are not using at all now):

Or even better, use File.Create to discard any previous contents that the local file may have.

I'm not sure if your localFileName is supposed to hold full path, or just file name. So you may need to add a path too, if necessary (combine localFileName with sDir?)

The reason why Neil's suggestion results in a fullscreen DatePicker is the choice of parent theme:

I do agree that Neil's suggestion, with a bit of change (changing the parent theme to say, Theme.Material.Light.Dialog) will get you the desired result. But, here's the other way:

On first inspection, we come across datePickerStyle which defines things such as: headerBackground(what you are trying to change), dayOfWeekBackground, and a few other text-colors and text-styles.

Overriding this attribute in your app's theme will not work. DatePickerDialog uses a separate theme assignable by the attribute datePickerDialogTheme. So, for our changes to take affect, we must override datePickerStyle inside an overriden datePickerDialogTheme.

Here we go:

I'm not quite sure what you really want to do, but I'll try to explain what might be happening.

When you declare your onsubmit code within your html, it gets turned into a function and thus its callable from the JavaScript "world". That means that those two methods are equivalent:

HTML: <form onsubmit="return valid();" />
JavaScript: myForm.onsubmit = function() { return valid(); };

These two will be both functions and both will be callable. You can test any of those using the typeof operator which should yeld the same result: "function".

Now if you assign a string to the "onsubmit" property via JavaScript, it will remain a string, hence not callable. Notice that if you apply the typeof operator against it, you'll get "string" instead of "function".

I hope this might clarify a few things. Then again, if you want to know if such property (or any identifier for the matter) is a function and callable, the typeof operator should do the trick. Although I'm not sure if it works properly across multiple frames.

Google did not make offline speech recognition available to third party apps. Offline recognition is only accessable via the keyboard. Ben Randall (the developer of utter!) explains his workaround in an article at Android Police:

I had implemented my own keyboard and was switching between Google Voice Typing and the users default keyboard with an invisible edit text field and transparent Activity to get the input. Dirty hack!

This was the only way to do it, as offline Voice Typing could only be triggered by an IME or a system application (that was my root hack) . re.findall(pattern, string) returns a list of matching strings.

re.finditer(pattern, string) returns an iterator over MatchObject objects.

I've made this mistake in the past & I took forever to figure it out.

The problem is that the tab-completion is searching your path, but all commands are not in your path.

To find the commands in your path using bash you could do something like :

In Microservices world (having a common shared codebase), each Microservice would have a Dockerfile whereas at the root level (generally outside of all Microservices and where your parent POM resides) you would define a docker-compose.yml to group all Microservices into a full-blown app.

In your case "Docker Compose" is preferred over "Dockerfile". Think "App" Think "Compose".

I was checking all the answer above and wanted to add one more additional information. I wanted to sort the list in DESC order and I was searching for the solution which is faster for bigger inputs and I was using this method earlier :-

Another thing you have to do is to rewrite default value of scope.

The general idea is to add, commit and push your files to the GitHub repo.

First you need to clone your GitHub repo.
Then, you would git add all the files from your other folder: one trick is to specify an alternate working tree when git add'ing your files.

git --work-tree=yourSrcFolder add .

(done from the root directory of your cloned Git repo, then git commit -m "a msg", and git push origin master)

The problem is in your JSP, most likely you are calling a method on an object that is null at runtime.

As well as find listed in other answers, better shells allow both recurvsive globs and filtering of glob matches, so in zsh for example...

After playing with mangini's solution for converting from ArrayBuffer to String - ab2str (which is the most elegant and useful one I have found - thanks!), I had some issues when handling large arrays. More specefivally, calling String.fromCharCode.apply(null, new Uint16Array(buf)); throws an error:

arguments array passed to Function.prototype.apply is too large.

In order to solve it (bypass) I have decided to handle the input ArrayBuffer in chunks. So the modified solution is:

The chunk size is set to 2^16 because this was the size I have found to work in my development landscape. Setting a higher value caused the same error to reoccur. It can be altered by setting the CHUNK_SIZE variable to a different value. It is important to have an even number.

Note on performance - I did not make any performance tests for this solution. However, since it is based on the previous solution, and can handle large arrays, I see no reason why not to use it.

Because it makes these things so easy, you could consider using a JavaScript library like jQuery to do this:

In our experience, with Apache falling over on request of favicon.ico, we commented out extra headers in the .htaccess file.

For example we had Header set X-XSS-Protection "1; mode=block"

... but we had forgotten to sudo a2enmod headers beforehand. Commenting out extra headers being sent resolved our favicon.ico issue.

We also had several virtual hosts set up for development, and only failed out with 500 Internal Server Error when using http://localhost and fetching /favicon.ico. If you run "curl -v http://localhost/favicon.ico" and get a warning about the host name not being in the resolver cache or something to that effect, you might experience problems.

It could be as simple as not fetching (we tried that and it didn't work, because our root cause was different) or look around for directives in apache2.conf or .htaccess which might be causing strange 500 Internal Server Error messages.

We found it failed so quickly there was nothing useful in Apache's error logs whatsoever and spent an entire morning changing small things here and there until we resolved the problem of setting extra headers when we had forgotten to have mod_headers loaded!

libstdc++, which is part of gcc, has a special debug mode for error checking. It is enabled by compiler flag -D_GLIBCXX_DEBUG. Among other things it does bounds checking for std::vector at the cost of performance. Here is online demo with recent version of gcc.

So actually you can do bounds checking with libstdc++ debug mode but you should do it only when testing because it costs notable performance compared to normal libstdc++ mode.

That this works is not trivial at all! It's a property of the IEEE floating point representation that int°floor = ?·? if the magnitude of the numbers in question is small enough, but different representations are possible where int(floor(2.3)) might be 1.

This post explains why it works in that range.

In a double, you can represent 32bit integers without any problems. There cannot be any rounding issues. More precisely, doubles can represent all integers between and including 2⁵³ and -2⁵³.

Short explanation: A double can store up to 53 binary digits. When you require more, the number is padded with zeroes on the right.

It follows that 53 ones is the largest number that can be stored without padding. Naturally, all (integer) numbers requiring less digits can be stored accurately.

Adding one to 111(omitted)111 (53 ones) yields 100...000, (53 zeroes). As we know, we can store 53 digits, that makes the rightmost zero padding.

This is where 2⁵³ comes from.

More detail: We need to consider how IEEE-754 floating point works.

The number is then calculated as follows (excluding special cases that are irrelevant here):

-1^sign × 1.mantissa ×2^{exponent - bias}

where bias = 2^{exponent - 1} - 1, i.e. 1023 and 127 for double/single precision respectively.

Knowing that multiplying by 2^X simply shifts all bits X places to the left, it's easy to see that any integer must have all bits in the mantissa that end up right of the decimal point to zero.

Any integer except zero has the following form in binary:

1x...x where the x-es represent the bits to the right of the MSB (most significant bit).

Because we excluded zero, there will always be a MSB that is one—which is why it's not stored. To store the integer, we must bring it into the aforementioned form: -1^sign × 1.mantissa ×2^{exponent - bias}.

That's saying the same as shifting the bits over the decimal point until there's only the MSB towards the left of the MSB. All the bits right of the decimal point are then stored in the mantissa.

From this, we can see that we can store at most 52 binary digits apart from the MSB.

It follows that the highest number where all bits are explicitly stored is

111(omitted)111.   that's 53 ones (52 + implicit 1) in the case of doubles.

For this, we need to set the exponent, such that the decimal point will be shifted 52 places. If we were to increase the exponent by one, we cannot know the digit right to the left after the decimal point.

111(omitted)111x.

By convention, it's 0. Setting the entire mantissa to zero, we receive the following number:

100(omitted)00x. = 100(omitted)000.

That's a 1 followed by 53 zeroes, 52 stored and 1 added due to the exponent.

It represents 2⁵³, which marks the boundary (both negative and positive) between which we can accurately represent all integers. If we wanted to add one to 2⁵³, we would have to set the implicit zero (denoted by the x) to one, but that's impossible.

Pythont 3.5 added the methods run() and call() to the subprocess module, both returning a CompletedProcess object. With this you are fine using proc.stdout.splitlines():

As of OSX 10.10 (Yosemite) and since at least OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), the behavior is as follows when you open (double-click) executable scripts from Finder:

• Executable scripts^[1] with either NO suffix or suffix .command:
• are executed by default - no setup required:
  • a new Terminal window opens in which the script runs.
  • by default, the window will remain open after the script terminates so you can inspect the output (though at that point the shell that ran the script has exited and you cannot interact with it any longer).
    However, via Terminal's Preferences... > Profiles you can opt to automatically close the window when the script exits.
• Caveat: the working folder is invariably the current user's home folder, NOT the folder in which the script is located.
  • To make a shell script change to the folder in which it is located, place
    • cd -- "$(dirname "$BASH_SOURCE")" right after the shebang line
    • or, if you must remain POSIX-compliant, cd -- "$(dirname "$0")".
    • For edge cases, such as finding a symlinked script's true source directory, see this answer.
• If the script is unexpectedly not executable:
  • Make it executable by running chmod +x <script> in Terminal; otherwise, you'll see the following symptoms:
  • .command: Finder displays a misleading error message that suggests the problem can be fixed via File > Get Info, which is not true - use the chmod +x method suggested above.
  • no suffix:
    • with a shebang line (e.g., #!/bin/bash): behavior is as if the suffix were .sh - see below.

• Scripts with suffix .sh, whether executable or not:
• are opened for editing in TextEdit.app or, if installed, with Xcode.app.
• Scripts with suffix .scpt or .applescript (even if they're themselves marked as executable, which is not normally the case):
  • opened for editing in [Apple]Script Editor
  • Note that the JXA source-code files seem to have no distinct suffix (yet).
• Scripts with a custom suffix (a suffix not yet known to the system), whether executable or not (in fact, applies to any kind of file):
  • prompt you for the app to open them with when you first open them, and remember that choice.

^{[1] Executable means: a script with the executable permission bit(s) set and the calling user - relative to the ownership to the file - therefore potentially being allowed to execute it.
If you use chmod a+x to set all permission bits (which is typical), anyone can invoke it (assuming they're also allowed to read the file based on the read permission bit(s) and the file's ownership).}

After spending a lot of time trying to this with the suggested answers I came across this codeplex project Windows Input Simulator which made it simple as can be to simulate a key press:

1. Install the package, can be done or from the NuGet package manager or from the package manager console like:

• The JOIN (SELECT @running_total := 0) r is a cross join, and allows for variable declaration without requiring a separate SET command.

Caveats:

• MySQL specific; not portable to other databases
• The ORDER BY is important; it ensures the order matches the OP and can have larger implications for more complicated variable usage (IE: psuedo ROW_NUMBER/RANK functionality, which MySQL lacks)

When you make a call to using namespace <some_namespace>; all symbols in that namespace will become visible without adding the namespace prefix. A symbol may be for instance a function, class or a variable.

E.g. if you add using namespace std; you can write just cout instead of std::cout when calling the operator cout defined in the namespace std.

This is somewhat dangerous because namespaces are meant to be used to avoid name collisions and by writing using namespace you spare some code, but loose this advantage. A better alternative is to use just specific symbols thus making them visible without the namespace prefix. Eg:

It's declared inside a closure, which means it can only be accessed there. If you want a variable accessible globally, you can remove the var:

I had the same problem. I noticed that my db context (EF4) that was located in the project dll wasn't recognize for some reason. I deleted it and created another one instead. and that solved it for me.

The first argument of all methods is usually called self. It refers to the instance for which the method is being called.

Let's say you have:

Also, on second thought, split will work in your case, since the first split is larger than the second. Split puts the balance of the input into the last split, so

Super late here and I still couldn't uninstall using sudo as the other answers suggest. What did it for me was checking where cordova was installed by running

which cordova

it will output something like this

then removing by

The problem with camel case is that there are often different interpretations of words - for example, checkinService vs checkInService. Going along with Aaron's answer, it is difficult with auto-completion if you have many similarly named repos to have to constantly check if the person who created the repo you care about used a certain breakdown of the upper and lower cases. avoid upper case.

His point about dashes is also well-advised.

1. use lower case.
2. use dashes.
3. be specific. you may find you have to differentiate between similar ideas later - ie use purchase-rest-service instead of service or rest-service.
4. be consistent. consider usage from the various GIT vendors - how do you want your repositories to be sorted/grouped?

Since you want to pivot multiple columns of data, I would first suggest unpivoting the result, score and grade columns so you don't have multiple columns but you will have multiple rows.

Depending on your version of SQL Server you can use the UNPIVOT function or CROSS APPLY. The syntax to unpivot the data will be similar to:

What fixed this for me was re-setting my origin url:

git remote set-url origin https://github.com/username/example_repo.git

And then I was able to successfully git push my project. I had to do this even though when I viewed my origins with git remote -v, that the urls were same as what I re-set it as.

So languages that support namespapces ( like C#) will have no use of implementing class hierarchy of static classes. Since you can not instantiate any of the classes, all you need is a hierarchical organization of class definitions which you can obtain through the use of namespaces
