THIS DOESN'T USE PIPEs, but requires a single tempfile
I used this to put simplified timestamps into a lowtech daily maintenance batfile

We have already Short-formatted our System-Time to HHmm, (which is 2245 for 10:45PM)
I direct output of Maint-Routines to logfiles with a $DATE%@%TIME% timestamp;
. . . but %TIME% is a long ugly string (ex. 224513.56, for down to the hundredths of a sec)

SOLUTION OVERVIEW:
1. Use redirection (">") to send the command "TIME /T" everytime to OVERWRITE a temp-file in the %TEMP% DIRECTORY
2. Then use that tempfile as the input to set a new variable (I called it NOW)
3. Replace

echo $DATE%@%TIME% blah-blah-blah >> %logfile%

echo $DATE%@%NOW% blah-blah-blah >> %logfile%

AFTERMATH:
All that remains afterwards is the appended logfile, and constantly overwritten tempfile. And if the Tempfile is ever deleted, it will be re-created as necessary.

I have created an approximation of what I think you are looking for just using the Collections Framework in Java. Frankly, I think it is probably overkill as @Mike Deck points out. For such a small set of items to compare and process I think arrays would be a better choice from a procedural standpoint but here is my pseudo-coded (because I'm lazy) solution. I have an assumption that the Foo class is comparable based on it's unique id and not all of the data in it's contents:

As far as your questions: If I convert oldSet and newSet into HashMap (order is not of concern here), with the IDs as keys, would it made the code easier to read and easier to compare? How much of time & memory performance is loss on the conversion? I think that you would probably make the code more readable by using a Map BUT...you would probably use more memory and time during the conversion.

Would iterating the two sets and perform the appropriate operation be more efficient and concise? Yes, this would be the best of both worlds especially if you followed @Mike Sharek 's advice of Rolling your own List with the specialized methods or following something like the Visitor Design pattern to run through your collection and process each item.

I've been bitten loads of times by people writing their own path fiddling functions and getting it wrong. Spaces, slashes, backslashes, colons -- the possibilities for confusion are not endless, but mistakes are easily made anyway. So I'm a stickler for the use of os.path, and recommend it on that basis.

(However, the path to virtue is not the one most easily taken, and many people when finding this are tempted to take a slippery path straight to damnation. They won't realise until one day everything falls to pieces, and they -- or, more likely, somebody else -- has to work out why everything has gone wrong, and it turns out somebody made a filename that mixes slashes and backslashes -- and some person suggests that the answer is "not to do that". Don't be any of these people. Except for the one who mixed up slashes and backslashes -- you could be them if you like.)

You can get the drive and path+file like this:

drive, path_and_file = os.path.splitdrive(path)

Get the path and the file:

path, file = os.path.split(path_and_file)

Getting the individual folder names is not especially convenient, but it is the sort of honest middling discomfort that heightens the pleasure of later finding something that actually works well:

The problem is with slashes: your variable contains them and the final command will be something like sed "s/string/path/to/something/g", containing way too many slashes.

Since sed can take any char as delimiter (without having to declare the new delimiter), you can try using another one that doesn't appear in your replacement string:

replacement="/my/path"
sed --expression "s@pattern@$replacement@"

Note that this is not bullet proof: if the replacement string later contains @ it will break for the same reason, and any backslash sequences like \1 will still be interpreted according to sed rules. Using | as a delimiter is also a nice option as it is similar in readability to /.

I found that the cleanest way to do this is to create a custom TwigExtension and override its getGlobals() method. Rather than using $_SESSION, it's also better to use Symfony's Session class since it handles automatically starting/stopping the session.

Swing has no idea what the preferred, minimum and maximum sizes of the GoBoard should be as you have no components inside of it for it to calculate based on, so it picks a (probably wrong) default. Since you are doing custom drawing here, you should implement these methods

Before writing files you must also check whether your SDCard is mounted & the external storage state is writable.

Environment.getExternalStorageState()

The H10 error code could mean many different things. In my case, the first time was because I didn't know that Heroku isn't compatible with Sqlite3, the second time was because I accidentally pushed an update with Google analytics working in development as well as production.

While this does not address the OP's question, I had trouble with my bootstrap rows / columns while trying to use them in conjunction with Kendo ListView (even with the bootstrap-kendo css).

Arrays are special objects in java, they have a simple attribute named length which is final.

There is no "class definition" of an array (you can't find it in any .class file), they're a part of the language itself.

I did something similar to this for http://bookmarkchamp.com - there I wanted to detect when a user copied something into an HTML field. The implementation I came up with was to check the field constantly to see if at any time there was suddenly a whole lot of text in there.

In other words: if once milisecond ago there was no text, and now there are more than 5 chars... then the user probably pasted something in the field.

In your join or where clause, use the Date property of the column. Behind the scenes, this executes a CONVERT(DATE, <expression>) operation. This should allow you to compare dates without the time.

When using an EF model, I have a connection string in each project that consumes the EF model. For example, I have an EF EDMX model in a separate class library. I have one connection string in my web (mvc) project so that it can access the EF db.

I also have another unit test project for testing the repositories. In order for the repositories to access the EF db, the test project's app.config file has the same connection string.

DB connections should be configured, not coded, IMO.

I think the problem you're having is that your JSON is a list of objects when it comes in and it doesnt directly relate to your root class.

The query above might look a bit complicated compared to what you posted, but what it does is basically just aliasing all columns of the users table to make sure they are placed into the correct model when returned and not mixed up with the posts model

Other than that you'll notice that it does a JOIN instead of selecting from two tables, but the result should be the same

Everythings works well. You can't use divtag.onclick, becease "onclick" attribute doesn't exist. You need first create this attribute by using .setAttribute(). Javascript isn't threaded, so a "wait" would freeze the entire page (and probably cause the browser to stop running the script entirely).

To specifically address your problem, you should remove the brackets after donothing in your setTimeout call, and make waitsecs a number not a string:

But that won't stop execution; "after" will be logged before your function runs.

To wait properly, you can use anonymous functions:

All your variables will still be there in the "after" section. You shouldn't chain these - if you find yourself needing to, you need to look at how you're structuring the program. Also you may want to use setInterval / clearInterval if it needs to loop.

More efficient (I think.) Because you don't have to cast mydate twice per row.

One of the above answer states to convert XML String to bytes which is not needed. Instead you can can use InputSource and supply it with StringReader.

There are two different contexts in Android. One for your application (Let's call it the BIG one) and one for each view (let's call it the activity context).

A linearLayout is a view, so you have to call the activity context. To call it from an activity, simply call "this". So easy isn't it?

When you use

this.getApplicationContext();

You call the BIG context, the one that describes your application and cannot manage your view.

A big problem with Android is that a context cannot call your activity. That's a big deal to avoid this when someone begins with the Android development. You have to find a better way to code your class (or replace "Context context" by "Activity activity" and cast it to "Context" when needed).

Just to update my answer. The easiest way to get your Activity context is to define a static instance in your Activity. For example

I finally found the fix for this!

As we have found, IB doesn't allow us to change the height of the rounded corner border style. So change it to any of the other styles and set the desired height. In the code change the border style back.

As of pandas 1.0.0, you no longer need to use numpy to create null values in your dataframe. Instead you can just use pandas.NA (which is of type pandas._libs.missing.NAType), so it will be treated as null within the dataframe but will not be null outside dataframe context.

Use the second argument on the Mockito.verify method, as in:

Due to PermGen removal some options were removed (like -XX:MaxPermSize), but options -Xms and -Xmx work in Java 8. It's possible that under Java 8 your application simply needs somewhat more memory. Try to increase -Xmx value. Alternatively you can try to switch to G1 garbage collector using -XX:+UseG1GC.

Note that if you use any option which was removed in Java 8, you will see a warning upon application start:

The problem with the solution suggested is that it can break some performance features built into the SessionState if you are using an out-of-process session storage. (either "State Server Mode" or "SQL Server Mode"). In oop modes the session data needs to be serialized at the end of the page request and deserialized at the beginning of the page request, which can be costly. To improve the performance the SessionState attempts to only deserialize what is needed by only deserialize variable when it is accessed the first time, and it only re-serializes and replaces variable which were changed. If you have alot of session variable and shove them all into one class essentially everything in your session will be deserialized on every page request that uses session and everything will need to be serialized again even if only 1 property changed becuase the class changed. Just something to consider if your using alot of session and an oop mode.

There's one really important difference which is not mentioned anywhere.

take(1) emits 1, completes, unsubscribes

first() emits 1, completes, but doesn't unsubscribe.

It means that your upstream observable will still be hot after first() which is probably not expected behavior.

based on your screenshot I can see you have BuildTools ver 23.0.0 rc2 installed. So to get it right open up your gradle build file "build.gradle(Module:app)" and edit buildToolsVersion part like that:

Stumbled upon this thread a couple years later. In 2016, most Android devices will have API level >= 18 and should thus rely on Location.isFromMockProvider() as pointed out by Fernando.

I extensively experimented with fake/mock locations on different Android devices and distros. Unfortunately .isFromMockProvider() is not 100% reliable. Every once in a while, a fake location will not be labeled as mock. This seems to be due to some erroneous internal fusion logic in the Google Location API.

I wrote a detailed blog post about this, if you want to learn more. To summarize, if you subscribe to location updates from the Location API, then switch on a fake GPS app and print the result of each Location.toString() to the console, you will see something like this:

Notice how, in the stream of location updates, one location has the same coordinates as the others, but is not flagged as a mock and has a much poorer location accuracy.

To remedy this problem, I wrote a utility class that will reliably suppress Mock locations across all modern Android versions (API level 15 and up):

LocationAssistant - Hassle-free location updates on Android

Basically, it "distrusts" non-mock locations that are within 1km of the last known mock location and also labels them as a mock. It does this until a significant number of non-mock locations have arrived. The LocationAssistant can not only reject mock locations, but also unburdens you from most of the hassle of setting up and subscribing to location updates.

To receive only real location updates (i.e. suppress mocks), use it as follows:

onNewLocationAvailable() will now only be invoked with real location info. There are some more listener methods you need to implement, but in the context of your question (how to prevent GPS spoofing) this is basically it.

Of course, with a rooted OS you can still find ways of spoofing location info that are impossible for normal apps to detect.

As others have stated adding a padding-top to body works great. But when you make the screen narrower (to cell phone widths) there is a gap between the navbar and the body. Also, a crowded navbar can wrap to a multi-line bar, overwriting some of the content again.

This solved these kinds of issues for me

When static variable is declared in a header file is its scope limited to .h file or across all units.

There is no such thing as a "header file scope". The header file gets included into source files. The translation unit is the source file including the text from the header files. Whatever you write in a header file gets copied into each including source file.

As such, a static variable declared in a header file is like a static variable in each individual source file.

Since declaring a variable static this way means internal linkage, every translation unit #includeing your header file gets its own, individual variable (which is not visible outside your translation unit). This is usually not what you want.

I would like to know what is the difference between static variables in a header file vs declared in a class.

In a class declaration, static means that all instances of the class share this member variable; i.e., you might have hundreds of objects of this type, but whenever one of these objects refers to the static (or "class") variable, it's the same value for all objects. You could think of it as a "class global".

Yes, one (and only one) translation unit must initialize the class variable.

So that does mean static variable scope is limited to 2 compilation units ?

• A header is not a compilation unit,
• static means completely different things depending on context.

Global static limits scope to the translation unit. Class static means global to all instances.

I would suggest using a different approach. Add a button on the webpage that will copy the content of the table to the clipboard, with TAB chars between columns and newlines between rows. This way the "paste" function in Excel should work correctly and your web application will also work with many browsers and on many operating systems (linux, mac, mobile) and users will be able to use the data also with other spreadsheets or word processing programs.

The only tricky part is to copy to the clipboard because many browsers are security obsessed on this. A solution is to prepare the data already selected in a textarea, and show it to the user in a modal dialog box where you tell the user to copy the text (some will need to type Ctrl-C, others Command-c, others will use a "long touch" or a popup menu).

It would be nicer to have a standard copy-to-clipboard function that possibly requests a user confirmation... but this is not the case, unfortunately.

It's 2018 now.And I just got stuck on this problem when I must send a request that exceeds the max_input_vars. And I came up with a solution that newie like me forgot to restart php fpm service after changing the max_input_vars param. because I only tried to restart apache2 service, but not php fpm

1. uncomment code at /etc/php/7.0/fpm/php.ini and set number as you wish
   max_input_vars = 4000
2. restart php fpm service, as I use php 7. Therefore,

You may use str.isdigit() and str.isalpha() to check whether given string is positive integer and alphabet respectively.

Is the lowest level of logging. If you want to go nuts with logging then you go with this level. I never understood when to use Verbose and when to use Debug. The difference sounded to me very arbitrary. I finally understood it once I was pointed to the source code of Android¹ “Verbose should never be compiled into an application except during development.” Now it is clear to me, whenever you are developing and want to add deletable logs that help you during the development it is useful to have the verbose level this will help you delete all these logs before you go into production.

Debug

Is for debugging purposes. This is the lowest level that should be in production. Information that is here is to help during development. Most times you’ll disable this log in production so that less information will be sent and only enable this log if you have a problem. I like to log in debug all the information that the app sends/receives from the server (take care not to log passwords!!!). This is very helpful to understand if the bug lies in the server or the app. I also make logs of entering and exiting of important functions.

Info

For informational messages that highlight the progress of the application. For example, when initialising of the app is finished. Add info when the user moves between activities and fragments. Log each API call but just little information like the URL , status and the response time.

Warning

When there is a potentially harmful situation.

This log is in my experience a tricky level. When do you have a potential harmful situation? In general or that it is OK or that it is an error. I personally don’t use this level much. Examples of when I use it are usually when stuff happens several times. For example, a user has a wrong password more than 3 times. This could be because he entered the password wrongly 3 times, it could also be because there is a problem with a character that isn’t being accepted in our system. Same goes with network connection problems.

Error

Error events. The application can still continue to run after the error. This can be for example when I get a null pointer where I’m not supposed to get one. There was an error parsing the response of the server. Got an error from the server.

WTF (What a Terrible Failure)

Fatal is for severe error events that will lead the application to exit. In Android the fatal is in reality the Error level, the difference is that it also adds the fullstack.

Of course this solution should only be used in scenarios, where it is not possible to install the required certifcates using keytool e.g. local testing with temporary certifcates.

It looks like two of your lines are out of order. You start the process before setting up an event handler to capture the output. It's possible the process is just finishing before the event handler is added.

Switch the lines like so.

I struggled with this issue for days. Any GET call was working correctly, but all PUTs would generate a "Can't verify CSRF token authenticity" error. My website was working fine until I had added a SSL cert to nginx.

If using an external service (as suggested in the reply by CommonsWare) then Docmosis has a cloud service that might help - offloading processing to a cloud service that does the heavy processing. You need to make sure requestAnimFrame stops being called once game == 1. A break statement only exits a traditional loop (e.g. while()).

It's useful when you want to print the current thread stack trace without creating instance of Throwable - but note that creating new Throwable and getting stack trace from there is actually faster and cheaper than calling Thread.getStackTrace.

First something I think necessary to know:

It is symbol that is transferred on a physical channel. Not bit. Symbol is the physical signals that is transferred over the physical medium to convey the data bits. A symbol can be one of several voltage, frequency, or phase changes. Symbol is decided by the physical nature of the medium. While bit is a logical concept.

If you want to transfer data bits, you must do it by sending symbols over the medium. Baud rate describes how fast symbols change over a medium. I.e. it describes the rate of physical state changes over the medium.

If we use only 2 symbols to transfer binary data, which means one symbol for 0 and another symbol for 1, that will lead to baud rate = bit rate. And this is how it works in the old days.

If we are lucky enough to find a way to encode more bits into a symbol, we can achieve higher bit rate with the same baud rate. And this is when the baud rate < bit rate. This doesn't mean the transfer speed is slowed down. It actually means the transfer efficiency/speed is increased.

And the communicating parties have to agree on how bits are represented by each physical symbol. This is where the modulation protocols come in.

But the ability of sending multiple bits per symbol doesn't come free. The transmitter and receiver will be complex depending on the modulation methods. And more processing power is required.

Finally, I'd like to make an analogy:

Suppose I stand on the roof of my house and you stand on your roof. There's a rope between you and me. I want to send some apples to you through a basket down the rope.

The basket is the symbol. The apple is the data bits.

If the basket is small (a physical limitation of the symbol), I may only send one apple per basket. This is when baud/basket rate = bit/apple rate.

If the basket is big, I can send more apples per basket. This is when baud rate < bit rate. I can send all the apples with less baskets. But it takes me more effort (processing power) to put more apples into the basket than put just one apple. If the basket rate remains the same, the more apples I put in one basket, the less time it takes.

the reason why $(string) is not working is because jquery is not finding html content between $(). Therefore you need to first parse it to html. once you have a variable in which you have parsed the html. you can then use $(string) and use all functions available on the object

While it's possible to call open(filename, 'rb') and check through the binary image headers for the dimensions, it seems much more useful to install PIL and spend your time writing great new software! You gain greater file format support and the reliability that comes from widespread usage. From the PIL documentation, it appears that the code you would need to complete your task would be:

Whereas the Model-View-Controller pattern is used for user interfaces, the Entity-Control-Boundary Pattern (ECB) is used for systems. The following aspects of ECB can be likened to an abstract version of MVC, if that's helpful:

Entities (model)
Objects representing system data, often from the domain model.

Boundaries (view/service collaborator)
Objects that interface with system actors (e.g. a user or external service). Windows, screens and menus are examples of boundaries that interface with users.

Controls (controller)
Objects that mediate between boundaries and entities. ListView returns collections of selected items and indices through the SelectedItems and SelectedIndices properties. Note that these collections are empty, if no item is currently selected (lst.SelectedItems.Count = 0). The first item that is selected is lst.SelectedItems(0). The index of this item in the Items collection is lst.SelectedIndices(0). So basically

is the same as

Other than that my only suggestion would be to specify a full directory path for writing the file rather than just the filename.

If you truly want to discard the commits you've made locally, i.e. never have them in the history again, you're not asking how to pull - pull means merge, and you don't need to merge. All you need do is this:

You convert the cookie into an array. You reduce the length of the array and then you never use that shortened array. Instead, you just use the old cookie (the unshortened one).

You should convert the shortened array back to a string with .join(",") and then use it for the new cookie instead of using old_cookie which is not shortened.

You may also not be using .splice() correctly, but I don't know exactly what your objective is for shortening the array. You can read about the exact function of .splice() here.

If you include $@ in a quoted string with other characters the behavior is very odd when there are multiple arguments, only the first argument is included inside the quotes.

302 is a response indicating change of resource location - "Found".

The url where the resource should be now located should be in the response 'Location' header.

The "jump" should be done by the requesting client (make a new request to the resource url in the response Location header field).

Assuming that winrar.exe is in the PATH, then Runtime.exec is capable of finding it, if it is not, you will need to supply the fully qualified path to it, for example, assuming winrar.exe is installed in C:/Program Files/WinRAR you would need to use something like...

I'm very thoroughly investigating the matter of accuracy/rssi/proximity with iBeacons and I really really think that all the resources in the Internet (blogs, posts in StackOverflow) get it wrong.

Actually, most people say this but I have no idea why! Documentation makes it very very clear that CLBeacon.proximity:

Indicates the one sigma horizontal accuracy in meters. Use this property to differentiate between beacons with the same proximity value. Do not use it to identify a precise location for the beacon. Accuracy values may fluctuate due to RF interference.

Let me repeat: one sigma accuracy in meters. All 10 top pages in google on the subject has term "one sigma" only in quotation from docs, but none of them analyses the term, which is core to understand this.

In physical world, when you make some measurement, you always get different results (because of noise, distortion, etc) and very often results form Gaussian distribution. There are two main parameters describing Gaussian curve:

1. mean (which is easy to understand, it's value for which peak of the curve occurs).
2. standard deviation, which says how wide or narrow the curve is. The narrower curve, the better accuracy, because all results are close to each other. If curve is wide and not steep, then it means that measurements of the same phenomenon differ very much from each other, so measurement has a bad quality.

one sigma is another way to describe how narrow/wide is gaussian curve.
It simply says that if mean of measurement is X, and one sigma is s, then 68% of all measurements will be between X - s and X + s.

Example. We measure distance and get a gaussian distribution as a result. The mean is 10m. If s is 4m, then it means that 68% of measurements were between 6m and 14m.

When we measure distance with beacons, we get RSSI and 1-meter calibration value, which allow us to measure distance in meters. But every measurement gives different values, which form gaussian curve. And one sigma (and accuracy) is accuracy of the measurement, not distance!

It may be misleading, because when we move beacon further away, one sigma actually increases because signal is worse. But with different beacon power-levels we can get totally different accuracy values without actually changing distance. The higher power, the less error.

Author has a hypothesis that accuracy is actually distance. He claims that beacons from Kontakt.io are faulty beacuse when he increased power to the max value, accuracy value was very small for 1, 5 and even 15 meters. Before increasing power, accuracy was quite close to the distance values. I personally think that it's correct, because the higher power level, the less impact of interference. And it's strange why Estimote beacons don't behave this way.

I'm not saying I'm 100% right, but apart from being iOS developer I have degree in wireless electronics and I think that we shouldn't ignore "one sigma" term from docs and I would like to start discussion about it.

It may be possible that Apple's algorithm for accuracy just collects recent measurements and analyses the gaussian distribution of them. And that's how it sets accuracy. I wouldn't exclude possibility that they use info form accelerometer to detect whether user is moving (and how fast) in order to reset the previous distribution distance values because they have certainly changed.

The Servlet 2.4 specification says this about WEB-INF (page 70):

A special directory exists within the application hierarchy named WEB-INF. This directory contains all things related to the application that aren’t in the document root of the application. The WEB-INF node is not part of the public document tree of the application. No file contained in the WEB-INF directory may be served directly to a client by the container. However, the contents of the WEB-INF directory are visible to servlet code using the getResource and getResourceAsStream method calls on the ServletContext, and may be exposed using the RequestDispatcher calls.

This means that WEB-INF resources are accessible to the resource loader of your Web-Application and not directly visible for the public.

This is why a lot of projects put their resources like JSP files, JARs/libraries and their own class files or property files or any other sensitive information in the WEB-INF folder. Otherwise they would be accessible by using a simple static URL (usefull to load CSS or Javascript for instance).

Your JSP files can be anywhere though from a technical perspective. For instance in Spring you can configure them to be in WEB-INF explicitly:

It is important to make the difference between the structure of a project and the structure of the resulting WAR file.

The structure of the project will in some cases partially reflect the structure of the WAR file (for static resources such as JSP files or HTML and JavaScript files, but this is not always the case.

The transition from the project structure into the resulting WAR file is done by a build process.

While you are usually free to design your own build process, nowadays most people will use a standardized approach such as Apache Maven. Among other things Maven defines defaults for which resources in the project structure map to what resources in the resulting artifact (the resulting artifact is the WAR file in this case). In some cases the mapping consists of a plain copy process in other cases the mapping process includes a transformation, such as filtering or compiling and others.

One example: The WEB-INF/classes folder will later contain all compiled java classes and resources (src/main/java and src/main/resources) that need to be loaded by the Classloader to start the application.

I had a very long path, and there's a file in there somewhere (not gcc.exe) but another file, that gcc.exe is accessing from the path..

So when I cleared the path, it worked

Update-

The above seems to be correct to me but to add, it's also not a simple case of something earlier in the path clashing.. because normally the current directory takes precedence. And it does here in so far as gcc --version shows it's running the ming one and not one of the ones in a conflicting directory. So there's something funny going on that, if the conflicting directory is in the path) , one has to either do .\gcc or add . to the start of the path or add c:\MinGW\bin before any conflicting directories in the path. this is the case even when you're in C:\MinGW\bin and that's strange. And when it gives an error, it is still running Ming's gcc but (For some reason) looking at the conflicting directory too, as I see from process monitor. That's Ming32 bit..

Looking at Ming 64bit, probably has te same issue, but I see, interestingly, it comes with a bat file that (sensibly) actually puts the bin directory at the tart of the path. And it looks like that is a standard way of running Ming gcc properly.

The code::blocks IDE (sensibly) also puts the bin directory at the start of the path. If you run a C program that shows environment variables then you see that.

Usually, string comparisons are case-insensitive. If your database is configured to case sensitive collation, you need to force to use a case insensitive one:

If you want plain C exports, use a C project not C++. C++ DLLs rely on name-mangling for all the C++isms (namespaces etc...). You can compile your code as C by going into your project settings under C/C++->Advanced, there is an option "Compile As" which corresponds to the compiler switches /TP and /TC.

If you still want to use C++ to write the internals of your lib but export some functions unmangled for use outside C++, see the second section below.

Exporting/Importing DLL Libs in VC++

What you really want to do is define a conditional macro in a header that will be included in all of the source files in your DLL project:

Do doubles always have 16 significant figures while floats always have 7 significant figures?

No. Doubles always have 53 significant bits and floats always have 24 significant bits (except for denormals, infinities, and NaN values, but those are subjects for a different question). These are binary formats, and you can only speak clearly about the precision of their representations in terms of binary digits (bits).

This is analogous to the question of how many digits can be stored in a binary integer: an unsigned 32 bit integer can store integers with up to 32 bits, which doesn't precisely map to any number of decimal digits: all integers of up to 9 decimal digits can be stored, but a lot of 10-digit numbers can be stored as well.

Why don't doubles have 14 significant figures?

The encoding of a double uses 64 bits (1 bit for the sign, 11 bits for the exponent, 52 explicit significant bits and one implicit bit), which is double the number of bits used to represent a float (32 bits).

For accessibility reason, I could not pull it off with multiple type=submit buttons. The only way to work natively with a form with multiple buttons but ONLY one can submit the form when hitting the Enter key is to ensure that only one of them is of type=submit while others are in other type such as type=button. this questions is linked with the question How to write binary data file on C and plot it using Gnuplot by CAMILO HG. I know that the real problem have two parts: 1) Write the binary data file, 2) Plot it using Gnuplot.

The first part has been very clearly answered here, so I do not have something to add.

For the second, the easy way is send the people to the Gnuplot manual, and I sure someone find a good answer, but I do not find it in the web, so I am going to explain one solution (which must be in the real question, but I new in stackoverflow and I can not answer there):

After write your binary data file using fwrite(), you should create a very simple program in C, a reader. The reader only contains the same structure as the writer, but you use fread() instead fwrite(). So it is very ease to generate this program: copy in the reader.c file the writing part of your original code and change write for read (and "wb" for "rb"). In addition, you could include some checks for the data, for example, if the length of the file is correct. And finally, your program need to print the data in the standard output using a printf().

For be clear: your program run like this

I've found that in Eclipse Mars, if you can safely assume that the line you replace it with will be at least as long as the line you are erasing, simply printing '\r' (a carriage return) will allow your cursor to move back to the beginning of the line to overwrite any characters you see. I think you are confused about how the compiler puts things together. When you use -c flag, i.e. no linking is done, the input is C++ code, and the output is object code. The .o files thus don't mix with -c, and compiler warns you about that. Symbols from object file are not moved to other object files like that.

All object files should be on the final linker invocation, which is not the case here, so linker (called via g++ front-end) complains about missing symbols.

Here's a small example (calling g++ explicitly for clarity):

There's also makedepend utility that comes with X11 - helps a lot with source code dependencies. You might also want to look at the -M gcc option for building make rules.

Your server needs to have the php modules installed so it can parse php code.

If you are on ubuntu you can do this easily with

This question has already been answered, but here is a real world solution that checks if the directory exists and adds a number to the end if the text file exists. I use this for creating daily log files on a Windows service I wrote. I hope this helps someone.

From a more specific standpoint, lazy loading comes in to play with choosing the type. By default, navigation properties in Entity Framework come with change tracking and are proxies. In order for the dynamic proxy to be created as a navigation property, the virtual type must implement ICollection.

It works and there's even a common pattern for your approach: the Adapter pattern. But of course, (1) it does not work for casting java primitives to objects and (2) the class has to be adaptable (usually by implementing a custom interface).

With this pattern you could do something like:

The difference is primarily in deployment. Web forward and reverse proxies all have the same underlying features. They accept requests for HTTP requests in various formats and provide a response, usually by accessing the origin or contact server.

Alternatively, use the manifest to specify the class-path and main-class if you like, so then you don't need to use -cp or specify the main class. In your case it would contain lines like this:

Unfortunately you need to spell out each jar in the manifest (not a biggie as you only do once, and you can use a script to build the file or use a build tool like ANT or Maven or Gradle). And the reference has to be a relative or absolute directory to where you run the java -jar MyJar.jar.

Then execute it with

I found that the best solution is to use a vbscript together with the batch file.

Here is the batch file:
