The existence of that piece of metadata is entirely dependent on the application that wrote the file. It's very common to load up JPG files with metadata (EXIF tags) about the file, such as a timestamp or camera information or geolocation. ID3 tags in MP3 files are also very common. But it's a lot less common to see this kind of metadata in video files.

You are doing it wrong in many ways. Don't use mysql functions - they are deprecated! Use PDO or MySQLi. You should also think about storing files locations on disk. Using MySQL for storing images is thought to be Bad Idea™. Handling SQL table with big data like images can be problematic.

This is the correct behavior actually. Jersey will try to find a handler for your input and will try to construct an object from the provided input. In this case it will try to create a new Date object with the value X provided to the constructor. Since this is an invalid date, by convention Jersey will return 404.

What you can do is rewrite and put birth date as a String, then try to parse and if you don't get what you want, you're free to throw any exception you want by any of the exception mapping mechanisms (there are several).

If you were only interested in 'z', you could create a function-based index.

With this approach you would have to create a separate index for each character you might want to search for. I suppose if this is something you do often, it might be worth creating one index for each letter.

Also, keep in mind that if your data has the names capitalized in the standard way (e.g., "Zaxxon"), then both your example and mine would not match names that begin with a Z. You can correct for this by including LOWER in the search expression: INSTR(LOWER(last_name),'z').

Also you can use COALESCE instead of CASE expression. Because result of concatenating anything to NULL, even itself, is always NULL

You use separator when you are building a file path. So in unix the separator is /. So if you wanted to build the unix path /var/temp you would do it like this:

You use the pathSeparator when you are dealing with a list of files like in a classpath. For example, if your app took a list of jars as argument the standard way to format that list on unix is: /path/to/jar1.jar:/path/to/jar2.jar:/path/to/jar3.jar

So given a list of files you would do something like this:

Your script could be stopping, not because of the PHP timeout but because of the timeout in the browser you're using to access the script (ie. Firefox, Chrome, etc). Unfortunately there's seldom an easy way to extend this timeout, and in most browsers you simply can't. An option you have here is to access the script over a terminal. For example, on Windows you would make sure the PHP executable is in your path variable and then I think you execute:

C:\path\to\script> php script.php

Or, if you're using the PHP CGI, I think it's:

C:\path\to\script> php-cgi script.php

Plus, you would also set ini_set('max_execution_time', 0); in your script as others have mentioned. When running a PHP script this way, I'm pretty sure you can use buffer flushing to echo out the script's progress to the terminal periodically if you wish. My solution does not require gem setup or installing 'node with sudo apt" when you already have nvm.

All you need is to edit DesctopEntry of RubyMine. for that we will have those small steps:

1. Download the official git package for Mac from http://git-scm.com/download/mac

Other reason, in addition to the others already discussed here, is you could introduce a bug without realizing it. Suppose you have this enums which is exactly the same but in separated pacakges (it's not common, but it could happen):

First enum:

I had the same issue, multiple data type values in single column, package load only numeric values. Remains all it updated as null.

Solution

To fix this changing the excel data type is one of the solution. In Excel Copy the column data and paste in different file. Delete that column and insert new column as Text datatype and paste that copied data in new column.

Now in ssis package delete and recreate the Excel source and destination table change the column data type as varchar.

This will work.

The error comes when you try to call sum(x) and x is a factor.

What that means is that one of your columns, though they look like numbers are actually factors (what you are seeing is the text representation)

simple fix, convert to numeric. However, it needs an intermeidate step of converting to character first. Use the following:

This won't, however, count the number of occurrences in the file (ie, if you have echo multiple times on one line).

After playing around a bit, you could get the number of occurrences using this dirty little bit of code:

This basically adds a newline following every instance of echo so they're each on their own line, allowing grep to count those lines. You can refine the regex if you only want the word "echo", as opposed to "echoing", for example.

Use mktemp -d. It creates a temporary directory with a random name and makes sure that file doesn't already exist. You need to remember to delete the directory after using it though.

For me the issue came-up because, I was using the Distribution Provisioning Profile to debug.

We cannot debug with Distribution Provisioning Profile, changing it to Development Provisioning Profile fixed the issue.

Steps: (Xcode 11.2.1)

1. Select Project, Under TARGETS, select the correct target.
2. Switch to Signing & Capabilities
3. Under Singing section, change the Provisioning Profile to Development profile or you can just check Automatically manage signing

A mask defines which bits you want to keep, and which bits you want to clear.

Masking is the act of applying a mask to a value. This is accomplished by doing:

• Bitwise ANDing in order to extract a subset of the bits in the value
• Bitwise ORing in order to set a subset of the bits in the value
• Bitwise XORing in order to toggle a subset of the bits in the value

Below is an example of extracting a subset of the bits in the value:

Mask:   00001111b
Value:  01010101b

Applying the mask to the value means that we want to clear the first (higher) 4 bits, and keep the last (lower) 4 bits. Thus we have extracted the lower 4 bits. The result is:

To send a variable value through URL in response.sendRedirect(). I have used it for one variable, you can also use it for two variable by proper concatenation.

Basically, you are declaring your function in the same scope as your are using it (JavaScript uses Closures to determine scope).

Now, since functions in JavaScript behave like any other object, you can simply assign doosomething as the function to call on click by using .click(doosomething);

Your function will not execute until you call it using doosomething() (doosomething without the () refers to the function but doesn't call it) or another function calls in (in this case, the click handler).

If you need to perform in Microsoft Windows the equivalent of a symlink to /dev/null in Linux you would open and administrator's cmd and type:

This will keep the file/direcotry always at 0 byte, and still return success to every write attempt.

You could use a test runner that would do this for you. nose is very good for example. When run, it will find tests in the current tree and run them.

Since I originally wrote this answer, the File API has been proposed as a standard and implemented in most browsers (as of IE 10, which added support for FileReader API described here, though not yet the File API). The API is a bit more complicated than the older Mozilla API, as it is designed to support asynchronous reading of files, better support for binary files and decoding of different text encodings. There is some documentation available on the Mozilla Developer Network as well as various examples online. You would use it as follows:

Original answer

There does not appear to be a way to do this in WebKit (thus, Safari and Chrome). The only keys that a File object has are fileName and fileSize. According to the commit message for the File and FileList support, these are inspired by Mozilla's File object, but they appear to support only a subset of the features.

If you would like to change this, you could always send a patch to the WebKit project. Another possibility would be to propose the Mozilla API for inclusion in HTML 5; the WHATWG mailing list is probably the best place to do that. If you do that, then it is much more likely that there will be a cross-browser way to do this, at least in a couple years time. Of course, submitting either a patch or a proposal for inclusion to HTML 5 does mean some work defending the idea, but the fact that Firefox already implements it gives you something to start with.

You need to check one of the properties of the object. Without telling us what the object is, we cannot help you.

I did test several common objects and found that an instantiated Collection with no items added shows <No Variables> in the watch window. If your object is indeed a collection, you can check for the <No Variables> condition using the .Count property:

The previous answers don't really give straightforward rules on when to use one over the other and why, so let me add a few things.

The unowned or weak discussion boils down to a question of lifetime of the variable and the closure that references it.

Scenarios

You can have two possible scenarios:

1. The closure have the same lifetime of the variable, so the closure will be reachable only until the variable is reachable. The variable and the closure have the same lifetime. In this case you should declare the reference as unowned. A common example is the [unowned self] used in many example of small closures that do something in the context of their parent and that not being referenced anywhere else do not outlive their parents.

2. The closure lifetime is independent from the one of the variable, the closure could still be referenced when the variable is not reachable anymore. In this case you should declare the reference as weak and verify it's not nil before using it (don't force unwrap). A common example of this is the [weak delegate] you can see in some examples of closure referencing a completely unrelated (lifetime-wise) delegate object.

Actual Usage

So, which will/should you actually use most of the times?

Quoting Joe Groff from twitter:

Unowned is faster and allows for immutability and nonoptionality.

If you don't need weak, don't use it.

You'll find more about unowned* inner workings here.

* Usually also referred to as unowned(safe) to indicate that runtime checks (that lead to a crash for invalid references) are performed before accessing the unowned reference.

Learn to use a javascript debugger. Venkman (for Firefox) or the Web Inspector (part of Chome & Safari) are excellent tools for debugging what's going on.

You can set breakpoints and interrogate the state of the machine as you're interacting with your script; step through parts of your code to make sure everything is working as planned, etc.

I've also had the same issue ( Website body background rendering a right white margin in iPhone Safari ) and found that adding the background image to the <html> tag fixed the problem.

0xA0 (Unicode) is 0xC2A0 in UTF-8. .encode('utf8') will just take your Unicode 0xA0 and replace with UTF-8's 0xC2A0. Hence the apparition of 0xC2s... Encoding is not replacing, as you've probably realized now.

This can be done easily using ·. You can color or size the dot according to the tags you wrap it with. For example, try and run this

I am using Python via Anaconda's Spyder software. Using the original code listed in the question of this thread by @Gshocked, the code does not work (the python won't read the mp4 file). So I downloaded OpenCV 3.2 and copied "opencv_ffmpeg320.dll" and "opencv_ffmpeg320_64.dll" from the "bin" folder. I pasted both of these dll files to Anaconda's "Dlls" folder.

Anaconda also has a "pckgs" folder...I copied and pasted the entire "OpenCV 3.2" folder that I downloaded to the Anaconda "pckgs" folder.

Finally, Anaconda has a "Library" folder which has a "bin" subfolder. I pasted the "opencv_ffmpeg320.dll" and "opencv_ffmpeg320_64.dll" files to that folder.

After closing and restarting Spyder, the code worked. I'm not sure which of the three methods worked, and I'm too lazy to go back and figure it out. But it works so, cheers!

Since this question was asked in 2010, there has been real simplification in how to do simple multithreading with Python with map and pool.

The code below comes from an article/blog post that you should definitely check out (no affiliation) - Parallelism in one line: A Better Model for Day to Day Threading Tasks. I'll summarize below - it ends up being just a few lines of code:

Description

Map is a cool little function, and the key to easily injecting parallelism into your Python code. For those unfamiliar, map is something lifted from functional languages like Lisp. It is a function which maps another function over a sequence.

Map handles the iteration over the sequence for us, applies the function, and stores all of the results in a handy list at the end.

Implementation

Parallel versions of the map function are provided by two libraries:multiprocessing, and also its little known, but equally fantastic step child:multiprocessing.dummy.

multiprocessing.dummy is exactly the same as multiprocessing module, but uses threads instead (an important distinction - use multiple processes for CPU-intensive tasks; threads for (and during) I/O):

multiprocessing.dummy replicates the API of multiprocessing, but is no more than a wrapper around the threading module.

res.json forces the argument to JSON. res.send will take an non-json object or non-json array and send another type. For example:

Long answer: The problem with using "fixed" positioning is that it takes the element out of flow. thus it can't be re-positioned relative to its parent because it's as if it didn't have one. If, however, the container is of a fixed, known width, you can use something like:

This is outdated information. It is now possible to center content of an dynamic size (horizontally and vertically) with the help of the magic of CSS3 transform. The same principle applies, but instead of using margin to offset your container, you can use translateX(-50%). This doesn't work with the above margin trick because you don't know how much to offset it unless the width is fixed and you can't use relative values (like 50%) because it will be relative to the parent and not the element it's applied to. transform behaves differently. Its values are relative to the element they are applied to. Thus, 50% for transform means half the width of the element, while 50% for margin is half of the parent's width. This is an IE9+ solution

Using similar code to the above example, I recreated the same scenario using completely dynamic width and height:

I'm surprised that no one seems to have pointed out that one can pass a dictionary of keyed argument parameters, that satisfy the formal parameters, like so.

Note the Process result as read from the Pipe is an NSString object. It might be an error string and it can also be an empty string, but it should always be an NSString.

So, as long as it's not nil, the result can cast as a Swift String and returned.

If for some reason no NSString at all can be initialized from the file data, the function returns an error message. The function could have been written to return an optional String?, but that would be awkward to use and wouldn't serve a useful purpose because it's so unlikely for this to occur.

You need add parameter errors='coerce' to function to_numeric:

If ID is column:

but non numeric are converted to NaN, so all values are float.

Maven Dependencies: What solved it for me in Eclipse? I added the dependency in the "pom" file. I did a build, but could not see the Maven Dependency in the Eclipse. Next Step: Closed the project. Then Reopened the project. I could see the Maven dependencies.

It would appear that pd.isnull(df['DRGWeight']).nonzero()[0] wins the day in terms of timing, but that any of the top three methods have comparable performance.

I'm going to suggest the non-obvious. There is a fantastic (and often under-used) tool called the Immediate Window in Visual Basic Editor. Basically, you can write out commands in VBA and execute them on the spot, sort of like command prompt. It's perfect for cases like this.

Press ALT+F11 to open VBE, then Control+G to open the Immediate Window. Type the following and hit enter:

And boom! You are all done. No need to create a macro, declare variables, no need to drag and copy, etc. Close the window and get back to work. The only downfall is to undo it, you need to do it via code since VBA will destroy your undo stack (but that's simple).

If you are using spring-boot, this is the best answer.

I feel that @PostConstruct and other various life cycle interjections are round-about ways. These can lead directly to runtime issues or cause less than obvious defects due to unexpected bean/context lifecycle events. Why not just directly invoke your bean using plain Java? You still invoke the bean the 'spring way' (eg: through the spring AoP proxy). And best of all, it's plain java, can't get any simpler than that. No need for context listeners or odd schedulers.

Take note of what is printed for x. You are trying to convert an array (basically just a list) into an int. length-1 would be an array of a single number, which I assume numpy just treats as a float. You could do this, but it's not a purely-numpy solution.

EDIT: I was involved in a post a couple of weeks back where numpy was slower an operation than I had expected and I realised I had fallen into a default mindset that numpy was always the way to go for speed. Since my answer was not as clean as ayhan's, I thought I'd use this space to show that this is another such instance to illustrate that vectorize is around 10% slower than building a list in Python. I don't know enough about numpy to explain why this is the case but perhaps someone else does?

As far as I can tell, the command is correct, ASSUMING your input file is a valid gzipped tar file. Your output says that it isn't. If you downloaded the file from the internet, you probably didn't get the entire file, try again.

Without more knowledge of the source of your file, nobody here is going to be able to give you a concrete solution, just educated guesses.

Suppose you have a project named "XYZ" on your PC. Now you want to make a git repo of this project on github and use its functionalities.

Step 1: go to "www.github.com"

Step 2: create a repository with a "README.md" file (name it as you like it)

Step 3: clone the repository to your PC.

Step 4: In the cloned folder you will get two things : ".git" folder and a "README.md" file. Copy these two in your project folder "XYZ".

Step 5: Delete the cloned repo.

Step 6: add, commit and push all the files and folders of your project.

Now, you can just use your project "XYZ" as a git repository.

My case was that i was using RDS (mysql db verion 8) of AWS and was connecting my application through EC2 (my php code 5.6 was in EC2).

Here in this case since it is RDS there is no my.cnf the parameters are maintained by PARAMETER Group of AWS. Refer: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/USER_WorkingWithParamGroups.html

so what i did was:

1. Created a new Parameter group and then edited them.

2. Searched all character-set parameters. These are blank by default. edit them individually and select utf8 from drop down list.

character_set_client, character_set_connection, character_set_database, character_set_server

3. SAVE

And then most important, Rebooted RDS instance.

This has solved my problem and connection from php5.6 to mysql 8.x was working great.

For anyone coming to this latterly, I was having this problem over a Windows network, and offer an additional thing to check:

Python script connecting would work from commandline on my (linux) machine, but some users had problems connecting - that it worked from CLI suggested the DSN and credentials were right. The issue for us was that the group security policy required the ODBC credentials to be set on every machine. Once we added that (for some reason, the user had three of the four ODBC credentials they needed for our various systems), they were able to connect.

So, I would like to explain the scenario where I had to make use of this solution. Basically, I wanted to undo the background-color attribute set by another CSS. The expected end result was to make it look as though the original CSS had never applied the background-color attribute . Setting background-color:transparent; made that effective.

Without Package Manager

I highly recommend using the Package Manager as described in other answers as it's far more convenient for both installing and updating. However, sometimes plugins are not in the directory, so here is the manual approach.

First off, find your Packages directory in your Application Support/Sublime Text 2 directory, for example:

~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 2/Packages

Now, take your Plugin folder (which you can download as a zip from GitHub, for example) and simply copy the folder into your Packages directory:

To explain the actual problem that tslint is pointing out, a quote from the JavaScript documentation of the for...in statement:

The loop will iterate over all enumerable properties of the object itself and those the object inherits from its constructor's prototype (properties closer to the object in the prototype chain override prototypes' properties).

So, basically this means you'll get properties you might not expect to get (from the object's prototype chain).

To solve this we need to iterate only over the objects own properties. We can do this in two different ways (as suggested by @Maxxx and @Qwertiy).

First solution

Here we utilize the Object.Keys() method which returns an array of a given object's own enumerable properties, in the same order as that provided by a for...in loop (the difference being that a for-in loop enumerates properties in the prototype chain as well).

We were using middleware for token based encryption - decryption and we encountered same error.

Following was our code in route file:

You should consider using a button for this. Links generally should be use for linking. Buttons can be used for other functionality you wish to add. Neals solution works, but its a workaround.

If you use a <button> instead of a <a>, your original code should work as expected.

You could use klepto, which provides persistent caching to memory, disk, or database.

I would not use KML. Instead, use GeoJSON which you can natively consume in Google Maps API now. It is a newer feature that didn't exist from the original responses.

In any case, simply open the SHP file in Quantum GIS, and then you can output it in any format you like (KML, GeoJSON).

If you are using Google Maps for Work, I found a premium extension that handles loading shapefiles directly where you can just connect direct to the shapefile that you generate from ESRI. First I did alias setup on bash / zsh profile.

You're passing link=$a and link=$b in the hrefs for A and B, respectively. They are treated as strings, not variables. The following should fix that for you:

close() is a webdriver command which closes the browser window which is currently in focus. Despite the familiar name for this method, WebDriver does not implement the AutoCloseable interface.

During the automation process, if there are more than one browser window opened, then the close() command will close only the current browser window which is having focus at that time. The remaining browser windows will not be closed. The following code can be used to close the current browser window:

quit() is a webdriver command which calls the driver.dispose method, which in turn closes all the browser windows and terminates the WebDriver session. If we do not use quit() at the end of program, the WebDriver session will not be closed properly and the files will not be cleared off memory. This may result in memory leak errors.

If the Automation process opens only a single browser window, the close() and quit() commands work in the same way. Both will differ in their functionality when there are more than one browser window opened during Automation.

Dispose Command Dispose() should call Quit(), and it appears it does. However, it also has the same problem in that any subsequent actions are blocked until PhantomJS is manually closed.

Regular expression is the most effective way of checking for a domain validation. If you're dead set on not using a Regular Expression (which IMO is stupid), then you could split each part of a domain:

• www. / sub-domain
• domain name
• .extension

You would then have to check each character in some sort of a loop to see that it matches a valid domain.

Like I said, it's much more effective to use a regular expression.

I also use Stefan Petre’s http://www.eyecon.ro/bootstrap-datepicker and it does not work with Bootstrap 3 without modification. Note that http://eternicode.github.io/bootstrap-datepicker/ is a fork of Stefan Petre's code.

You have to change your markup (the sample markup will not work) to use the new CSS and form grid layout in Bootstrap 3. Also, you have to modify some CSS and JavaScript in the actual bootstrap-datepicker implementation.

Why not just do this take 010010001001001 split it into two bits 8 letter each (01001000, 01001001). Then issue the powers

The first 8 ignore the first three they determine if it's capital or not, the go right to left doing powers of 2 (2^1, 2^2 2^3 2^4 2^5). So then add all the ones up , there's only one, and it = 8, and te eight letter in the alphabet is h so our first bit is the letter h, try it on the other bit

With SQLServer 2005 Express, what I found was that even with autocommit off, insertions into a Db table were committed without my actually issuing a commit command from the Management Studio session. The only difference was, when autocommit was off, I could roll back all the insertions; with *autocommit on, I could not.* Actually, I was wrong. With autocommit mode off, I see the changes only in the QA (Query Analyzer) window from which the commands were issued.
