List of One Liners
Let's solve this problem for this array:
var array = ['A', 'B', 'C'];
1. Remove only the first: Use If you are sure that the item exist
array.splice(array.indexOf('B'), 1);
2. Remove only the last: Use If you are sure that the item exist
array.splice(array.lastIndexOf('B'), 1);
3. Remove all occurrences:
array = array.filter(v => v !== 'B');
This is my solution
public static String removeDup(String inputString){
if (inputString.length()<2) return inputString;
if (inputString==null) return null;
char[] inputBuffer=inputString.toCharArray();
for (int i=0;i<inputBuffer.length;i++){
for (int j=i+1;j<inputBuffer.length;j++){
if (inputBuffer[i]==inputBuffer[j]){
inputBuffer[j]=0;
}
}
}
String result=new String(inputBuffer);
return result;
}
While most of the answers above are useful, in case you: 1) need it to support non-positive-integer values (e.g. floats or negative integers ;-)), and 2) aren't on Python 2.7 (which collections.Counter requires), and 3) prefer not to add the dependency of scipy (or even numpy) to your code, then a purely python 2.6 solution that is O(nlogn) (i.e., efficient) is just this:
from collections import defaultdict
a = [1,2,3,1,2,1,1,1,3,2,2,1]
d = defaultdict(int)
for i in a:
d[i] += 1
most_frequent = sorted(d.iteritems(), key=lambda x: x[1], reverse=True)[0]
Why Oracle did such a poor way to point to java is beyond me. We solved this problem by creating a new link to the JDK
mklink /d C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_40\bin\"
The same would work for a JRE if that is all that is required.
This replaces the old symlinks in C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath
(if they existed previously)
The best approach is Long.valueOf(str)
as it relies on Long.valueOf(long)
which uses an internal cache making it more efficient since it will reuse if needed the cached instances of Long
going from -128
to 127
included.
Returns a
Long
instance representing the specified long value. If a new Long instance is not required, this method should generally be used in preference to the constructorLong(long)
, as this method is likely to yield significantly better space and time performance by caching frequently requested values. Note that unlike the corresponding method in the Integer class, this method is not required to cache values within a particular range.
Thanks to auto-unboxing allowing to convert a wrapper class's instance into its corresponding primitive type, the code would then be:
long val = Long.valueOf(str);
Please note that the previous code can still throw a NumberFormatException
if the provided String
doesn't match with a signed long
.
Generally speaking, it is a good practice to use the static
factory method valueOf(str)
of a wrapper class like Integer
, Boolean
, Long
, ... since most of them reuse instances whenever it is possible making them potentially more efficient in term of memory footprint than the corresponding parse
methods or constructors.
Excerpt from Effective Java Item 1
written by Joshua Bloch:
You can often avoid creating unnecessary objects by using static factory methods (Item 1) in preference to constructors on immutable classes that provide both. For example, the static factory method
Boolean.valueOf(String)
is almost always preferable to the constructorBoolean(String)
. The constructor creates a new object each time it’s called, while the static factory method is never required to do so and won’t in practice.
If you are using eloquent model (by looking at your code, i think you are), you dont need to convert it into array. Just use it as object. Becaus elike Thomas Kim said, by default it is a Carbon instance
So it should be
$suborder['payment_date'] = $item->created_at->format('Y-m-d')
But if it is not then, you need convert it to Carbon object as Milan Maharjan answer
$createdAt = Carbon::parse($item['created_at']);
Easier Way To Log each log level with a different layout using Conditional Layouts

To use information_schema and not collide with other sessions:

//ICO , DI ,10 years back , this was they way:
public class AuditDAOImpl implements Audit{
//dependency
AuditDAO auditDAO = null;
//Control of the AuditDAO is with AuditDAOImpl because its creating the object
public AuditDAOImpl () {
this.auditDAO = new AuditDAO ();
}
}
Now with Spring 3,4 or latest its like below
public class AuditDAOImpl implements Audit{
//dependency
//Now control is shifted to Spring. Container find the object and provide it.
@Autowired
AuditDAO auditDAO = null;
}
Overall the control is inverted from old concept of coupled code to the frameworks like Spring which makes the object available. So that's IOC as far as I know and Dependency injection as you know when we inject the dependent object into another object using Constructor or setters . Inject basically means passing it as an argument. In spring we have XML & annotation based configuration where we define bean object and pass the dependent object with Constructor or setter injection style.
You need to change source to viewmodel object:
myBinding.Source = viewModelObject;
Here is an example straight from PHP.net
$a = array(
"one" => 1,
"two" => 2,
"three" => 3,
"seventeen" => 17
);
foreach ($a as $k => $v) {
echo "\$a[$k] => $v.\n";
}
in the foreach you can do a comparison of each key to something that you are looking for
This occurs if the password for the database is not given.

Should you want what is exactly specified in the web page, just use:
document.querySelector('head base')['href']
I had this problem and it turned out I didn't have any padding on the ul, which was stopping the discs from being visible.
Margin messes with this too
I think this is the most clear solution, using an extension method:
public static class HttpRequestMessageExtensions
{
private const string HttpContext = "MS_HttpContext";
private const string RemoteEndpointMessage = "System.ServiceModel.Channels.RemoteEndpointMessageProperty";
public static string GetClientIpAddress(this HttpRequestMessage request)
{
if (request.Properties.ContainsKey(HttpContext))
{
dynamic ctx = request.Properties[HttpContext];
if (ctx != null)
{
return ctx.Request.UserHostAddress;
}
}
if (request.Properties.ContainsKey(RemoteEndpointMessage))
{
dynamic remoteEndpoint = request.Properties[RemoteEndpointMessage];
if (remoteEndpoint != null)
{
return remoteEndpoint.Address;
}
}
return null;
}
}
So just use it like:
var ipAddress = request.GetClientIpAddress();
We use this in our projects.

I faced similar scenario. It was happening because classA's initilization was dependent on classB's initialization. When classB's static block faced runtime exception, classB was not initialized. Because of this, classB did not throw any exception and classA's initialization failed too.
class A{//this class will never be initialized because class B won't intialize
static{
try{
classB.someStaticMethod();
}catch(Exception e){
sysout("This comment will never be printed");
}
}
}
class B{//this class will never be initialized
static{
int i = 1/0;//throw run time exception
}
public static void someStaticMethod(){}
}
And yes...catching Exception
will catch run time exceptions as well.
If I want to print utc date time using date command I need to using -u argument with date command.
Example

You can use a SqlDataAdapter
:
SqlDataAdapter adapter = new SqlDataAdapter();
SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("usp_GetABCD", sqlcon);
cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
adapter.SelectCommand = cmd;
DataTable dt = new DataTable();
adapter.Fill(dt);
This simple diagram that helps me to understand the difference between require
and import
.
Apart from that,
You can't selectively load only the pieces you need with require
but with imports
, you can selectively load only the pieces you need. That can save memory.
Loading is synchronous(step by step) for require
on the other hand import
can be asynchronous(without waiting for previous import) so it can perform a little better than require
.
This is my implementation (based in: https://gist.github.com/3782074):
Usage: HTML:
<table class="download">...</table>
<a href="" download="name.csv">DOWNLOAD CSV</a>
JS:
$("a[download]").click(function(){
$("table.download").toCSV(this);
});
Code:
jQuery.fn.toCSV = function(link) {
var $link = $(link);
var data = $(this).first(); //Only one table
var csvData = [];
var tmpArr = [];
var tmpStr = '';
data.find("tr").each(function() {
if($(this).find("th").length) {
$(this).find("th").each(function() {
tmpStr = $(this).text().replace(/"/g, '""');
tmpArr.push('"' + tmpStr + '"');
});
csvData.push(tmpArr);
} else {
tmpArr = [];
$(this).find("td").each(function() {
if($(this).text().match(/^-{0,1}\d*\.{0,1}\d+$/)) {
tmpArr.push(parseFloat($(this).text()));
} else {
tmpStr = $(this).text().replace(/"/g, '""');
tmpArr.push('"' + tmpStr + '"');
}
});
csvData.push(tmpArr.join(','));
}
});
var output = csvData.join('\n');
var uri = 'data:application/csv;charset=UTF-8,' + encodeURIComponent(output);
$link.attr("href", uri);
}
Notes:
UPDATE:
My previous implementation worked fine but it didn't set the csv filename. The code was modified to use a filename but it requires an < a > element. It seems that you can't dynamically generate the < a > element and fire the "click" event (perhaps security reasons?).
DEMO
(Unfortunately jsfiddle fails to generate the file and instead it throws an error: 'please use POST request', don't let that error stop you from testing this code in your application).
Ouath just makes the Google instance null, hence it you out of Google. Now that's how the architecture is made. Logging out of Google, if you Logout of your app is a dirty work, but can't help if the requirement stipulates the same. Hence add the following to your signOut() function. My project was an Angular 6 app:
document.location.href = "https://www.google.com/accounts/Logout?continue=https://appengine.google.com/_ah/logout?continue=http://localhost:4200";
Here localhost:4200 is the URL of my app. If your login page is xyz.com then input that.
Right click on the Project name > Configure > Convert to Maven Project > click finish. Here you will add some dependencies to download and add your expected jar file.
This will create an auto-generated pom.xml file. Open that file in xml format in your eclipse editor. After build tag (</build>
) add your dependencies which you can copy from maven website and add them there. Now you are good to go. These dependencies will automatically add your required jar files.
After much testing, I have verified that the original question is already right; missing just a couple of settings:
container_row
MUST have position: relative;
position: absolute; left:0;
container_row
should have additional styling:
height:x; line-height:x; vertical-align:middle;
text-align:center;
could, also, help.That is interesting subject.
You can play around with two lifecycle hooks to figure out how it works: ngOnChanges
and ngOnInit
.
Basically when you set default value to Input
that's mean it will be used only in case there will be no value coming on that component.
And the interesting part it will be changed before component will be initialized.
Let's say we have such components with two lifecycle hooks and one property coming from input
.
@Component({
selector: 'cmp',
})
export class Login implements OnChanges, OnInit {
@Input() property: string = 'default';
ngOnChanges(changes) {
console.log('Changed', changes.property.currentValue, changes.property.previousValue);
}
ngOnInit() {
console.log('Init', this.property);
}
}
Situation 1
Component included in html without defined property
value
As result we will see in console:
Init default
That's mean onChange
was not triggered. Init was triggered and property
value is default
as expected.
Situation 2
Component included in html with setted property <cmp [property]="'new value'"></cmp>
As result we will see in console:
Changed
new value
Object {}
Init
new value
And this one is interesting. Firstly was triggered onChange
hook, which setted property
to new value
, and previous value was empty object! And only after that onInit
hook was triggered with new value of property
.
import importlib
module = importlib.import_module('my_package.my_module')
my_class = getattr(module, 'MyClass')
my_instance = my_class()
The equivalent to WinForms' MessageBox

driver.navigate()
is used to navigate to particular URL and does not wait to page load. It maintains browser history or cookies to navigate back or forward.
i had a similar problem with the editText, which gained focus since the activity was started. this problem i fixed easily like this:
you add this piece of code into the layout that contains the editText in xml:
android:id="@+id/linearlayout"
android:focusableInTouchMode="true"
dont forget the android:id
, without it i've got an error.
the other problem i had with the editText is that once it gain the first focus, the focus never disappeared. this is a piece of my code in java, it has an editText and a button that captures the text in the editText:
editText=(EditText) findViewById(R.id.et1);
tvhome= (TextView)findViewById(R.id.tv_home);
etBtn= (Button) findViewById(R.id.btn_homeadd);
etBtn.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener()
{
@Override
public void onClick(View v)
{
tvhome.setText( editText.getText().toString() );
//** this code is for hiding the keyboard after pressing the button
View view = Settings.this.getCurrentFocus();
if (view != null)
{
InputMethodManager imm = (InputMethodManager)getSystemService(Context.INPUT_METHOD_SERVICE);
imm.hideSoftInputFromWindow(view.getWindowToken(), 0);
}
//**
editText.getText().clear();//clears the text
editText.setFocusable(false);//disables the focus of the editText
Log.i("onCreate().Button.onClickListener()", "et.isfocused= "+editText.isFocused());
}
});
editText.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener()
{
@Override
public void onClick(View v)
{
if(v.getId() == R.id.et1)
{
v.setFocusableInTouchMode(true);// when the editText is clicked it will gain focus again
//** this code is for enabling the keyboard at the first click on the editText
if(v.isFocused())//the code is optional, because at the second click the keyboard shows by itself
{
InputMethodManager imm = (InputMethodManager)getSystemService(Context.INPUT_METHOD_SERVICE);
imm.showSoftInput(v, InputMethodManager.SHOW_IMPLICIT);
}
//**
Log.i("onCreate().EditText.onClickListener()", "et.isfocused= "+v.isFocused());
}
else
Log.i("onCreate().EditText.onClickListener()", "the listener did'nt consume the event");
}
});
hope it will help to some of you!

There is another simple and elegant option:
parameters.OfType<EmailParameterClass>();
This will remove all elements that are not of type EmailParameterClass
which will obviously filter out any elements of type null
.
Here's a test:
class Test { }
class Program
{
static void Main(string[] args)
{
var list = new List<Test>();
list.Add(null);
Console.WriteLine(list.OfType<Test>().Count());// 0
list.Add(new Test());
Console.WriteLine(list.OfType<Test>().Count());// 1
Test test = null;
list.Add(test);
Console.WriteLine(list.OfType<Test>().Count());// 1
Console.ReadKey();
}
}
I'm installing on a Raspberry Pi 3, on Raspbian OS. The curl
method didn't resolve to a valid response. It also said {error: Not Found}
, I took a look at the URL https://github.com/docker/compose/releases/download/1.11.2/docker-compose-Linux-armv7l
and it was not valid. I guess there was no build there.
This guide https://github.com/hypriot/arm-compose worked for me.

I'm with you, even though it's a good goal to "only unit test the public API" there are times when it doesn't seem that simple and you feel you are choosing between compromising either the API or the unit-tests. You know this already, since that's exactly what you're asking to do, so I won't get into it. :)
In TypeScript I've discovered a few ways you can access private members for the sake of unit-testing. Consider this class:
class MyThing {
private _name:string;
private _count:number;
constructor() {
this.init("Test", 123);
}
private init(name:string, count:number){
this._name = name;
this._count = count;
}
public get name(){ return this._name; }
public get count(){ return this._count; }
}
Even though TS restricts access to class members using private
, protected
, public
, the compiled JS has no private members, since this isn't a thing in JS. It's purely used for the TS compiler. Therefor:
You can assert to any
and escape the compiler from warning you about access restrictions:
(thing as any)._name = "Unit Test";
(thing as any)._count = 123;
(thing as any).init("Unit Test", 123);
The problem with this approach is that the compiler simply has no idea what you are doing right of the any
, so you don't get desired type errors:
(thing as any)._name = 123; // wrong, but no error
(thing as any)._count = "Unit Test"; // wrong, but no error
(thing as any).init(0, "123"); // wrong, but no error
This will obviously make refactoring more difficult.
You can use array access ([]
) to get at the private members:
thing["_name"] = "Unit Test";
thing["_count"] = 123;
thing["init"]("Unit Test", 123);
While it looks funky, TSC will actually validate the types as if you accessed them directly:
thing["_name"] = 123; // type error
thing["_count"] = "Unit Test"; // type error
thing["init"](0, "123"); // argument error
To be honest I don't know why this works. This is apparently an intentional "escape hatch" to give you access to private members without losing type safety. This is exactly what I think you want for your unit-testing.
Here is a working example in the TypeScript Playground.
Edit for TypeScript 2.6
Another option that some like is to use // @ts-ignore
(added in TS 2.6) which simply suppresses all errors on the following line:
// @ts-ignore
thing._name = "Unit Test";
The problem with this is, well, it suppresses all errors on the following line:
// @ts-ignore
thing._name(123).this.should.NOT.beAllowed("but it is") = window / {};
I personally consider @ts-ignore
a code-smell, and as the docs say:
we recommend you use this comments very sparingly. [emphasis original]
Yes you can use CASE

mysql jdbc driver has already provide a convenient to meet this requirement, you must at least the have the jar version >= mysql-connect-jar-5.1.6.jar
step 1: [configure your jdbc.url to add logger and custom logging]
jdbc.url=jdbc:mysql://host:port/your_db?logger=com.mysql.jdbc.log.Slf4JLogger&profileSQL=true&profilerEventHandler=com.xxx.CustomLoggingProfilerEventHandler
now, it is using slf4j logging, if your default logging is log4j, you must add slf4j-api, slf4j-log4j12 dependencies to use slf4j logging
step 2: [write your custom logging]
package com.xxx;
import java.sql.SQLException;
import java.util.Properties;
import com.mysql.jdbc.Connection;
import com.mysql.jdbc.log.Log;
public class CustomLoggingProfilerEventHandler implements ProfilerEventHandler {
private Log log;
public LoggingProfilerEventHandler() {
}
public void consumeEvent(ProfilerEvent evt) {
/**
* you can only print the sql as this.log.logInfo(evt.getMessage())
* you can adjust your sql print log level with: DEBUG,INFO
* you can also handle the message to meet your requirement
*/
this.log.logInfo(evt);
}
public void destroy() {
this.log = null;
}
public void init(Connection conn, Properties props) throws SQLException {
this.log = conn.getLog();
}
}
I use this function merge
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION merge_tabla(key INT, data TEXT)
RETURNS void AS
$BODY$
BEGIN
IF EXISTS(SELECT a FROM tabla WHERE a = key)
THEN
UPDATE tabla SET b = data WHERE a = key;
RETURN;
ELSE
INSERT INTO tabla(a,b) VALUES (key, data);
RETURN;
END IF;
END;
$BODY$
LANGUAGE plpgsql
A similar error appears while pulling the changes from the origin. If you are trying in Intellij from the menu options, the pull might not work directly.
Go to terminal and type this command and this should work out: git pull origin master
I used the Google Apps Script method indexOf()
and its results were wrong. So I wrote the small function Myindexof()
, instead of indexOf
:
function Myindexof(s,text)
{
var lengths = s.length;
var lengtht = text.length;
for (var i = 0;i < lengths - lengtht + 1;i++)
{
if (s.substring(i,lengtht + i) == text)
return i;
}
return -1;
}
var s = 'Hello!';
var text = 'llo';
if (Myindexof(s,text) > -1)
Logger.log('yes');
else
Logger.log('no');
This seems to be a free-for-all ... Heh. Here's another varation, which I guess is more in the category "clever" than something I'd recommend for production code:
flipVal ^= (wParam == VK_F11);
otherVal ^= (wParam == VK_F12);
I guess it's advantages are:
And a just as obvious disadvantage is
This is close to @korona's solution using ?: but taken one (small) step further.
If your array is always sequential and starts at 0, then you can do this:
array[${#array[@]}]='foo'
# gets the length of the array
${#array_name[@]}
If you inadvertently use spaces between the equal sign:
array[${#array[@]}] = 'foo'
Then you will receive an error similar to:
array_name[3]: command not found
Using Windows Authentication
To connect to the database server is recommended to use Windows Authentication, commonly known as integrated security. To specify the Windows authentication, you can use any of the following two key-value pairs with the data provider. NET Framework for SQL Server:
Integrated Security = true;
Integrated Security = SSPI;
However, only the second works with the data provider .NET Framework OleDb. If you set Integrated Security = true
for ConnectionString an exception is thrown.
To specify the Windows authentication in the data provider. NET Framework for ODBC, you should use the following key-value pair.
Trusted_Connection = yes;
Another approach is to indicate the languages you intend to support and filter out the rest using the 'resConfigs' option with Gradle.
Check out this other answer for details
This is better, I think, because you don't have to completely ignore legitimate translation mistakes for languages you actually want to support
A better answer is to leave your script as it was. When doing the Select name
, follow it by -ExpandProperty Name
like so:
Get-ADGroupMember 'Domain Admins' | Select Name -ExpandProperty Name | out-file Admins.txt
These are Bitwise Operators (reference).
x & 1
produces a value that is either 1
or 0
, depending on the least significant bit of x
: if the last bit is 1
, the result of x & 1
is 1
; otherwise, it is 0
. This is a bitwise AND operation.
x >>= 1
means "set x
to itself shifted by one bit to the right". The expression evaluates to the new value of x
after the shift.
Note: The value of the most significant bit after the shift is zero for values of unsigned type. For values of signed type the most significant bit is copied from the sign bit of the value prior to shifting as part of sign extension, so the loop will never finish if x
is a signed type, and the initial value is negative.
Instead, you can collect the output in a test result.
You can't supply input, but you can easily provide several tests with different command line arguments, each test collecting the output.
If your goal is debugging, this is a low effort way of offering a repeatable debugging scenario.
namespace Commandline.Test
{
using Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UnitTesting;
[TestClass]
public class CommandlineTests
{
[TestMethod]
public void RunNoArguments()
{
Commandline.Program.Main(new string[0]);
}
}
}
import urllib.parse
urllib.parse.urlencode({'spam': 1, 'eggs': 2, 'bacon': 0})
For me the solution was totally different.
In my case I had an objectsource which required a datetimestamp parameter. Even though that ODS parameter ConvertEmptyStringToNull was true 1/1/0001 was being passed to SelectMethod. That in turn caused a sql datetime overflow exception when that datetime was passed to the sql server.
Added an additional check for datetime.year != 0001 and that solved it for me.
Weird that it would throw a transport level error and not a datetime overflow error. Anyways..
If you know the commit you want to return to is the head of some branch, or is tagged, then you can just
git checkout branchname
You can also use git reflog
to see what other commits your HEAD (or any other ref) has pointed to in the past.
Edited to add:
In newer versions of Git, if you only ran git checkout
or something else to move your HEAD
once, you can also do
git checkout -
to switch back to wherever it was before the last checkout. This was motivated by the analogy to the shell idiom cd -
to go back to whatever working directory one was previously in.
Please use the below code :
try {
String uriText =
"mailto:emailid" +
"?subject=" + Uri.encode("Feedback for app") +
"&body=" + Uri.encode(deviceInfo);
Uri uri = Uri.parse(uriText);
Intent emailIntent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_SENDTO);
emailIntent.setData(uri);
startActivity(Intent.createChooser(emailIntent, "Send email using..."));
} catch (android.content.ActivityNotFoundException ex) {
Toast.makeText(ContactUsActivity.this, "No email clients installed.", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
}
If you want to get the last day of the current month you can do it with the following code.
$last_day_this_month = date('F jS Y', strtotime(date('F t Y')));
This allows for parallel execution on all android versions with API 4+ (Android 1.6+):
@TargetApi(Build.VERSION_CODES.HONEYCOMB) // API 11
void startMyTask(AsyncTask asyncTask) {
if(Build.VERSION.SDK_INT >= Build.VERSION_CODES.HONEYCOMB)
asyncTask.executeOnExecutor(AsyncTask.THREAD_POOL_EXECUTOR, params);
else
asyncTask.execute(params);
}
This is a summary of Arhimed's excellent answer.
Please make sure you use API level 11 or higher as your project build target. In Eclipse, that is Project > Properties > Android > Project Build Target
. This will not break backward compatibility to lower API levels. Don't worry, you will get Lint errors if your accidentally use features introduced later than minSdkVersion
. If you really want to use features introduced later than minSdkVersion
, you can suppress those errors using annotations, but in that case, you need take care about compatibility yourself. This is exactly what happened in the code snippet above.
The following 2 extensions should do the trick:
For a char
array
public static SecureString ToSecureString(this char[] _self)
{
SecureString knox = new SecureString();
foreach (char c in _self)
{
knox.AppendChar(c);
}
return knox;
}
And for string
public static SecureString ToSecureString(this string _self)
{
SecureString knox = new SecureString();
char[] chars = _self.ToCharArray();
foreach (char c in chars)
{
knox.AppendChar(c);
}
return knox;
}
Thanks to John Dagg for the AppendChar
recommendation.
To add to @japher's post. If you are not particularly tied to JSON, Protocol Buffers is worth checking out.
You can easily override inline style except inline !important
style
so
<div style="font-size: 18px; color: red;">
Hello World, How Can I Change The Color To Blue?
</div>
div {
color: blue !important;
/* This will Work */
}
but if you have
<div style="font-size: 18px; color: red !important;">
Hello World, How Can I Change The Color To Blue?
</div>
div {
color: blue !important;
/* This Isn't Working */
}
now it will be red
only .. and you can not override it
Yes. First, construct a File
representing the image path:
File file = new File(a);
If you're starting from a relative path:
file = new File(file.getAbsolutePath());
Then, get the parent:
String dir = file.getParent();
Or, if you want the directory as a File
object,
File dirAsFile = file.getParentFile();
I think you'll struggle with keyup event - as it first triggers keypress - and you won't be able to stop the propagation of the second one if you want to exclude the Enter Key.
If legend_out
is set to True
then legend is available thought g._legend
property and it is a part of a figure. Seaborn legend is standard matplotlib legend object. Therefore you may change legend texts like:
import seaborn as sns
tips = sns.load_dataset("tips")
g = sns.lmplot(x="total_bill", y="tip", hue="smoker",
data=tips, markers=["o", "x"], legend_out = True)
# title
new_title = 'My title'
g._legend.set_title(new_title)
# replace labels
new_labels = ['label 1', 'label 2']
for t, l in zip(g._legend.texts, new_labels): t.set_text(l)
sns.plt.show()
Another situation if legend_out
is set to False
. You have to define which axes has a legend (in below example this is axis number 0):
import seaborn as sns
tips = sns.load_dataset("tips")
g = sns.lmplot(x="total_bill", y="tip", hue="smoker",
data=tips, markers=["o", "x"], legend_out = False)
# check axes and find which is have legend
leg = g.axes.flat[0].get_legend()
new_title = 'My title'
leg.set_title(new_title)
new_labels = ['label 1', 'label 2']
for t, l in zip(leg.texts, new_labels): t.set_text(l)
sns.plt.show()
Moreover you may combine both situations and use this code:
import seaborn as sns
tips = sns.load_dataset("tips")
g = sns.lmplot(x="total_bill", y="tip", hue="smoker",
data=tips, markers=["o", "x"], legend_out = True)
# check axes and find which is have legend
for ax in g.axes.flat:
leg = g.axes.flat[0].get_legend()
if not leg is None: break
# or legend may be on a figure
if leg is None: leg = g._legend
# change legend texts
new_title = 'My title'
leg.set_title(new_title)
new_labels = ['label 1', 'label 2']
for t, l in zip(leg.texts, new_labels): t.set_text(l)
sns.plt.show()
This code works for any seaborn plot which is based on Grid
class.
You can access column name specifically like this too if you don't want to loop through all columns:
table.Columns[1].ColumnName
console.log()
calls process.stdout.write
with formatted output. See format()
in console.js for the implementation.
Currently (v0.10.ish):
Console.prototype.log = function() {
this._stdout.write(util.format.apply(this, arguments) + '\n');
};
I have encountered this error while updating records from table which has trigger enabled. For example - I have trigger 'Trigger1' on table 'Table1'. When I tried to update the 'Table1' using the update query - it throws the same error. THis is because if you are updating more than 1 record in your query, then 'Trigger1' will throw this error as it doesn't support updating multiple entries if it is enabled on same table. I tried disabling trigger before update and then performed update operation and it was completed without any error.
DISABLE TRIGGER Trigger1 ON Table1;
Update query --------
Enable TRIGGER Trigger1 ON Table1;
Save to EPS and then convert to PDF:
saveas(gcf, 'nombre.eps', 'eps2c')
system('epstopdf nombre.eps') %Needs TeX Live (maybe it works with MiKTeX).
You will need some software that converts EPS to PDF.
You could do
>>> import os
>>> os.path.basename('/folderA/folderB/folderC/folderD')
UPDATE1: This approach works in case you give it /folderA/folderB/folderC/folderD/xx.py. This gives xx.py as the basename. Which is not what you want I guess. So you could do this -
>>> import os
>>> path = "/folderA/folderB/folderC/folderD"
>>> if os.path.isdir(path):
dirname = os.path.basename(path)
UPDATE2: As lars pointed out, making changes so as to accomodate trailing '/'.
>>> from os.path import normpath, basename
>>> basename(normpath('/folderA/folderB/folderC/folderD/'))
'folderD'
To resolve, Update Spring Frame Work to 3.2.0 or above!
I am facing the same problem. There are two solutions that I tried, and both works fine for me.
Update the Maven version repository:
Download the Apache Maven binary that includes the default https addresses (Apache Maven 3.6.3 binary). And open the Options dialog window in tools of NetBeans menu bar (Java Maven Dialog View). And select browse option in Maven Home List Box (Maven Home List Box View). After adding the Apache Maven newly downloaded version (Updated Maven Home List Box View), the project builds and runs successfully.
Restrict the current Maven version to use HTTPS links:
Include the following code in pom.xml of your project.
<project>
...
<pluginRepositories>
<pluginRepository>
<id>central</id>
<name>Central Repository</name>
<url>https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2</url>
<layout>default</layout>
<snapshots>
<enabled>false</enabled>
</snapshots>
<releases>
<updatePolicy>never</updatePolicy>
</releases>
</pluginRepository>
</pluginRepositories>
<repositories>
<repository>
<id>central</id>
<name>Central Repository</name>
<url>https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2</url>
<layout>default</layout>
<snapshots>
<enabled>false</enabled>
</snapshots>
</repository>
</repositories>
</project>
In your case
Employee emp = (Employee)mgr; //mgr is Manager
you are doing an upcasting.
An upcast always succeeds unlike a downcast that requires an explicit cast because it can potentially fail at runtime.(InvalidCastException).
C# offers two operators to avoid this exception to be thrown:
Starting from:
Employee e = new Employee();
First:
Manager m = e as Manager; // if downcast fails m is null; no exception thrown
Second:
if (e is Manager){...} // the predicate is false if the downcast is not possible
Warning: When you do an upcast you can only access to the superclass' methods, properties etc...
Use the stringi package:
require(stringi)
group<-data.frame(c("12357e", "12575e", "197e18", "e18947"))
stri_replace_all(group[,1], "", fixed="e")
[1] "12357" "12575" "19718" "18947"
You can use the LocalDateTime class from Java 8. For eg :
long n = 4;
LocalDateTime localDateTime = LocalDateTime.now();
System.out.println(localDateTime.plusHours(n));
Make children divs inline-block
and they will position side by side:
#content {
width: 500px;
height: 500px;
}
#left, #right {
display: inline-block;
width: 45%;
height: 100%;
}
See Demo
Wouldn't this work:
SELECT email FROM table1 t1
where UNIQUE(SELECT * FROM table1 t2);
You can use jquery
Touch events. (see here)
let holdBtn = $('#holdBtn')
let holdDuration = 1000
let holdTimer
holdBtn.on('touchend', function () {
// finish hold
});
holdBtn.on('touchstart', function () {
// start hold
holdTimer = setTimeout(function() {
//action after certain time of hold
}, holdDuration );
});
If you desire to use Python 3, you can use the following:
import json
import urllib.request
req = urllib.request.Request('url')
with urllib.request.urlopen(req) as response:
result = json.loads(response.readall().decode('utf-8'))
EDIT: Thanks for the comments - I looked it up in the C99 standard, which says in section 6.5.3.4:
The value of the result is implementation-defined, and its type (an unsigned integer type) is
size_t
, defined in<stddef.h>
(and other headers)
So, the size of size_t
is not specified, only that it has to be an unsigned integer type. However, an interesting specification can be found in chapter 7.18.3 of the standard:
limit of
size_t
SIZE_MAX 65535
Which basically means that, irrespective of the size of size_t
, the allowed value range is from 0-65535, the rest is implementation dependent.
There is a good stackoverflow answer here by Mark Rajcok:
AngularJS directive controllers requiring parent directive controllers?
with a link to this very clear jsFiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/mrajcok/StXFK/
<div ng-controller="MyCtrl">
<div screen>
<div component>
<div widget>
<button ng-click="widgetIt()">Woo Hoo</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
JavaScript
var myApp = angular.module('myApp',[])
.directive('screen', function() {
return {
scope: true,
controller: function() {
this.doSomethingScreeny = function() {
alert("screeny!");
}
}
}
})
.directive('component', function() {
return {
scope: true,
require: '^screen',
controller: function($scope) {
this.componentFunction = function() {
$scope.screenCtrl.doSomethingScreeny();
}
},
link: function(scope, element, attrs, screenCtrl) {
scope.screenCtrl = screenCtrl
}
}
})
.directive('widget', function() {
return {
scope: true,
require: "^component",
link: function(scope, element, attrs, componentCtrl) {
scope.widgetIt = function() {
componentCtrl.componentFunction();
};
}

//myApp.directive('myDirective', function() {});
//myApp.factory('myService', function() {});

}
These are typical npm paths if you install a package globally:
Windows XP - %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\npm\node_modules
Newer Windows Versions - %AppData%\npm\node_modules
or - %AppData%\roaming\npm\node_modules
An additional reason could be that you're pointing to a workspace on a drive that no longer exists, thinking that you're choosing the valid one. For instance, for me the workspace used to exist on the F drive, but now it is on my D drive. Even though I don't have the F drive anymore it is still listed as a workspace I once used during Eclipse startup. When I choose this old workspace Eclipse complains that the workspace is "in use", which is very strange.
Just the same way as you would do in normal Java code.
for (Map.Entry<String, String> entry : countries.entrySet()) {
String key = entry.getKey();
String value = entry.getValue();
// ...
}
However, scriptlets (raw Java code in JSP files, those <% %>
things) are considered a poor practice. I recommend to install JSTL (just drop the JAR file in /WEB-INF/lib
and declare the needed taglibs in top of JSP). It has a <c:forEach>
tag which can iterate over among others Map
s. Every iteration will give you a Map.Entry
back which in turn has getKey()
and getValue()
methods.
Here's a basic example:
<%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" %>
<c:forEach items="${map}" var="entry">
Key = ${entry.key}, value = ${entry.value}<br>
</c:forEach>
Thus your particular issue can be solved as follows:
<%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" %>
<select name="country">
<c:forEach items="${countries}" var="country">
<option value="${country.key}">${country.value}</option>
</c:forEach>
</select>
You need a Servlet
or a ServletContextListener
to place the ${countries}
in the desired scope. If this list is supposed to be request-based, then use the Servlet
's doGet()
:
protected void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) {
Map<String, String> countries = MainUtils.getCountries();
request.setAttribute("countries", countries);
request.getRequestDispatcher("/WEB-INF/page.jsp").forward(request, response);
}
Or if this list is supposed to be an application-wide constant, then use ServletContextListener
's contextInitialized()
so that it will be loaded only once and kept in memory:
public void contextInitialized(ServletContextEvent event) {
Map<String, String> countries = MainUtils.getCountries();
event.getServletContext().setAttribute("countries", countries);
}
In both cases the countries
will be available in EL by ${countries}
.
Hope this helps.
A key can be a function that returns a tuple:
s = sorted(s, key = lambda x: (x[1], x[2]))
Or you can achieve the same using itemgetter
(which is faster and avoids a Python function call):
import operator
s = sorted(s, key = operator.itemgetter(1, 2))
And notice that here you can use sort
instead of using sorted
and then reassigning:
s.sort(key = operator.itemgetter(1, 2))
I ran into this when checking on a null or empty string
if (x == NULL || x == '') {
changed it to
if (is.null(x) || x == '') {
Sure:
public HttpResponseMessage Post()
{
// ... do the job
// now redirect
var response = Request.CreateResponse(HttpStatusCode.Moved);
response.Headers.Location = new Uri("http://www.abcmvc.com");
return response;
}
please Press fn +ins key together
Hi I've blogged about writing a sudoku solver from scratch in Python and currently writing a whole series about writing a constraint programming solver in Julia (another high level but faster language) You can read the sudoku problem from a file which seems to be easier more handy than a gui or cli way. The general idea it uses is constraint programming. I use the all different / unique constraint but I coded it myself instead of using a constraint programming solver.
If someone is interested:
Ok, I tried as suggested writing the json myself from the AuthenticationEntryPoint and it works.
Just for testing I changed the AutenticationEntryPoint by removing response.sendError
@Component("restAuthenticationEntryPoint")
public class RestAuthenticationEntryPoint implements AuthenticationEntryPoint{
public void commence(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response, AuthenticationException authenticationException) throws IOException, ServletException {
response.setContentType("application/json");
response.setStatus(HttpServletResponse.SC_UNAUTHORIZED);
response.getOutputStream().println("{ \"error\": \"" + authenticationException.getMessage() + "\" }");
}
}
In this way you can send custom json data along with the 401 unauthorized even if you are using Spring Security AuthenticationEntryPoint.
Obviously you would not build the json as I did for testing purposes but you would serialize some class instance.
In Spring Boot, you should add it to http.authenticationEntryPoint() part of SecurityConfiguration file.
zIndex
is part of javaScript notation.(camelCase)
but jQuery.css uses same as CSS syntax.
so it is z-index
.
you forgot .css("attr","value"). use ' or " in both, attr and val. so,
.css("z-index","3000");
You can try to do like this:
var daysPassed = (DateTime.UtcNow - expiryDate).Days;
if (daysPassed > 30)
{
// ...
}
I've doing it with a function. In this case I will only transform character variables to factor:
for (i in 1:ncol(data)){
if(is.character(data[,i])){
data[,i]=factor(data[,i])
}
}
This is very simple to understand :-
id is used when we have to apply CSS property to one attribute only.
class is used when we have to use CSS property in many locations within the same page or different.
General :- for unique structure like staring div and buttons layout we use id .
for same CSS throughout the page or project we use class
id is light and class is little heavy
Just in case you want the binary representation and you're still drunk from last night's party:
private static string ByteToString(int value)
{
StringBuilder builder = new StringBuilder(sizeof(byte) * 8);
BitArray[] bitArrays = BitConverter.GetBytes(value).Reverse().Select(b => new BitArray(new []{b})).ToArray();
foreach (bool bit in bitArrays.SelectMany(bitArray => bitArray.Cast<bool>().Reverse()))
{
builder.Append(bit ? '1' : '0');
}
return builder.ToString();
}
Note: Something about not handling endianness very nicely...
If you don't mind sacrificing a bit of memory for speed, you can use below to generate an array with pre-calculated string values:
static void OutputIntegerStringRepresentations()
{
Console.WriteLine("private static string[] integerAsDecimal = new [] {");
for (int i = int.MinValue; i < int.MaxValue; i++)
{
Console.WriteLine("\t\"{0}\",", i);
}
Console.WriteLine("\t\"{0}\"", int.MaxValue);
Console.WriteLine("}");
}
This is how I restore RecyclerView position with GridLayoutManager after rotation when you need to reload data from internet with AsyncTaskLoader.
Make a global variable of Parcelable and GridLayoutManager and a static final string:
private Parcelable savedRecyclerLayoutState;
private GridLayoutManager mGridLayoutManager;
private static final String BUNDLE_RECYCLER_LAYOUT = "recycler_layout";
Save state of gridLayoutManager in onSaveInstance()
@Override
protected void onSaveInstanceState(Bundle outState) {
super.onSaveInstanceState(outState);
outState.putParcelable(BUNDLE_RECYCLER_LAYOUT,
mGridLayoutManager.onSaveInstanceState());
}
Restore in onRestoreInstanceState
@Override
protected void onRestoreInstanceState(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onRestoreInstanceState(savedInstanceState);
//restore recycler view at same position
if (savedInstanceState != null) {
savedRecyclerLayoutState = savedInstanceState.getParcelable(BUNDLE_RECYCLER_LAYOUT);
}
}
Then when loader fetches data from internet you restore recyclerview position in onLoadFinished()
if(savedRecyclerLayoutState!=null){
mGridLayoutManager.onRestoreInstanceState(savedRecyclerLayoutState);
}
..of course you have to instantiate gridLayoutManager inside onCreate. Cheers
You can structurize your batch file by using goto
IF EXIST somefile.txt goto somefileexists
goto exit
:somefileexists
IF EXIST someotherfile.txt SET var=...
:exit
Try this :
import urllib, urllib2, json
url = 'http://openligadb-json.heroku.com/api/teams_by_league_saison?league_saison=2012&league_shortcut=bl1'
request = urllib2.Request(url)
request.add_header('User-Agent','Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT)')
request.add_header('Content-Type','application/json')
response = urllib2.urlopen(request)
json_object = json.load(response)
#print json_object['results']
if json_object['team'] == []:
print 'No Data!'
else:
for rows in json_object['team']:
print 'Team ID:' + rows['team_id']
print 'Team Name:' + rows['team_name']
print 'Team URL:' + rows['team_icon_url']
Here's a simple solution: $('td[name=tcol1]')
Try Aspose.Words for java.
Aspose.Words for Java is an advanced (commercial) class library for Java that enables you to perform a great range of document processing tasks directly within your Java applications.
Aspose.Words for Java supports DOC, OOXML, RTF, HTML and OpenDocument formats. With Aspose.Words you can generate, modify, and convert documents without using Microsoft Word.
@Tama, you may want to check this answer: Using Font Awesome icons as bullets
Basically you can accomplish this by using only CSS without the need for the extra markup as suggested by FontAwesome and the other answers here.
In other words, you can accomplish what you need using the same basic markup you mentioned in your initial post:
<ul>
<li>...</li>
<li>...</li>
<li>...</li>
</ul>
Thanks.
Edit: It actually seems that editing the file shortcut breaks the Win+x, c key shortcut. (Moral of the story: only change system files you know how to fix! Eventually after a Windows update it repaired itself.)
What I ended up doing is creating a new customized Command Prompt shortcut in the start folder and pinned to the taskbar that I launch instead of cmd.exe
As other answers point out, changing the registry Autorun cmd start location is a bad idea because it silently will break other programs that shell out for tasks, like Visual Studio Code.
You should just change whatever shortcut you use to open cmd to have a Start In entry.
If you use Win+x, c to launch cmd, you can edit the Start In for
"%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\WinX\Group3\02 - Command Prompt.lnk"
You can use string.scan(your_regex).flatten
. If your regex contains groups, it will return in a single plain array.
string = "A 54mpl3 string w1th 7 numbers scatter3r ar0und"
your_regex = /(\d+)[m-t]/
string.scan(your_regex).flatten
=> ["54", "1", "3"]
Regex can be a named group as well.
string = 'group_photo.jpg'
regex = /\A(?<name>.*)\.(?<ext>.*)\z/
string.scan(regex).flatten
You can also use gsub
, it's just one more way if you want MatchData.
str.gsub(/\d/).map{ Regexp.last_match }
To recursively show how an object is different with other you can use _.reduce combined with _.isEqual and _.isPlainObject. In this case you can compare how a is different with b or how b is different with a:

You can use
1) AudioServicesPlayAlertSound(kSystemSoundID_Vibrate);
for iPhone and few newer iPods.
2) AudioServicesPlaySystemSound(kSystemSoundID_Vibrate);
for iPads.
Try this (ES5)
console.log($("#" + d));
ES6
console.log($(`#${d}`));
Right here: http://jt400.sourceforge.net/
This is what I use for that exact purpose.
EDIT: Usage Examples (minus exceptions):
// Driver initialization
AS400JDBCDriver driver = new com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver();
DriverManager.registerDriver(driver);
// JDBC Connection URL
String url = "jdbc:as400://10.10.10.10" + ";promt=false" // disable GUI prompting by jt400 library
// Get a Connection object (this is used to create statements, etc)
Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url, UserString, PassString);
Hope that helps!
ALTER TABLE [dbo].[TableName]
DROP CONSTRAINT FK_TableName_TableName2
TheNewIdiot's answer successfully explains the problem and the reason why you can't send attributes in request through a redirect. Possible solutions:
Using forwarding. This will enable that request attributes could be passed to the view and you can use them in form of ServletRequest#getAttribute
or by using Expression Language and JSTL. Short example (reusing TheNewIdiot's answer] code).
Controller (your servlet)
request.setAttribute("message", "Hello world");
RequestDispatcher dispatcher = servletContext().getRequestDispatcher(url);
dispatcher.forward(request, response);
View (your JSP)
Using scriptlets:
<%
out.println(request.getAttribute("message"));
%>
This is just for information purposes. Scriptlets usage must be avoided: How to avoid Java code in JSP files?. Below there is the example using EL and JSTL.
<c:out value="${message}" />
If you can't use forwarding (because you don't like it or you don't feel it that way or because you must use a redirect) then an option would be saving a message as a session attribute, then redirect to your view, recover the session attribute in your view and remove it from session. Remember to always have your user session with only relevant data. Code example
Controller
//if request is not from HttpServletRequest, you should do a typecast before
HttpSession session = request.getSession(false);
//save message in session
session.setAttribute("helloWorld", "Hello world");
response.sendRedirect("/content/test.jsp");
View
Again, showing this using scriptlets and then EL + JSTL:
<%
out.println(session.getAttribute("message"));
session.removeAttribute("message");
%>
<c:out value="${sessionScope.message}" />
<c:remove var="message" scope="session" />
Modern Examples of Symmetric Authenticated Encryption of a string.
The general best practice for symmetric encryption is to use Authenticated Encryption with Associated Data (AEAD), however this isn't a part of the standard .net crypto libraries. So the first example uses AES256 and then HMAC256, a two step Encrypt then MAC, which requires more overhead and more keys.
The second example uses the simpler practice of AES256-GCM using the open source Bouncy Castle (via nuget).
Both examples have a main function that takes secret message string, key(s) and an optional non-secret payload and return and authenticated encrypted string optionally prepended with the non-secret data. Ideally you would use these with 256bit key(s) randomly generated see NewKey()
.
Both examples also have a helper methods that use a string password to generate the keys. These helper methods are provided as a convenience to match up with other examples, however they are far less secure because the strength of the password is going to be far weaker than a 256 bit key.
Update:
Added byte[]
overloads, and only the Gist has the full formatting with 4 spaces indent and api docs due to StackOverflow answer limits.

Good day!
Mutex is basically mutual exclusion. Only one thread can acquire the resource at once. When one thread acquires the resource, no other thread is allowed to acquire the resource until the thread owning the resource releases. All threads waiting for acquiring resource would be blocked.
Semaphore is used to control the number of threads executing. There will be fixed set of resources. The resource count will gets decremented every time when a thread owns the same. When the semaphore count reaches 0 then no other threads are allowed to acquire the resource. The threads get blocked till other threads owning resource releases.
In short, the main difference is how many threads are allowed to acquire the resource at once ?
Try Linq:
Result = string.Join("", input.ToCharArray().Where(x=> ((int)x) < 127));
This will filter out all non ascii characters. Now if you want an equivalent, try the following:
Result = string.Join("", System.Text.Encoding.ASCII.GetChars(System.Text.Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes(input.ToCharArray())));
You can either use the "?" operator for a nullable type.
public Color? myColor = null;
Or use the standard practice for enums that cannot be null by having the FIRST value in the enum (aka 0) be the default value. For example in a case of color None.
public Color myColor = Color.None;
Its not possible thats the whole point of hashing. You can however bruteforce by going through all possibilities (using all possible digits characters in every possible order) and hashing them and checking for a collision.
for more information on hashing and MD5 etc see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MD5 , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hash_function , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptographic_hash_function and http://onin.com/hhh/hhhexpl.html
I myself created my own app to do this, its open source you can check the link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/jpassrecovery/ and of course the source. Here is the source for easy access it has a basic implementation in the comments:

anUnicode.encode('encoding') results in a string object and can be called on a unicode object
aString.decode('encoding') results in an unicode object and can be called on a string, encoded in given encoding.
Some more explanations:
You can create some unicode object, which doesn't have any encoding set. The way it is stored by Python in memory is none of your concern. You can search it, split it and call any string manipulating function you like.
But there comes a time, when you'd like to print your unicode object to console or into some text file. So you have to encode it (for example - in UTF-8), you call encode('utf-8') and you get a string with '\u<someNumber>' inside, which is perfectly printable.
Then, again - you'd like to do the opposite - read string encoded in UTF-8 and treat it as an Unicode, so the \u360 would be one character, not 5. Then you decode a string (with selected encoding) and get brand new object of the unicode type.
Just as a side note - you can select some pervert encoding, like 'zip', 'base64', 'rot' and some of them will convert from string to string, but I believe the most common case is one that involves UTF-8/UTF-16 and string.
'cacerts' is a truststore. A trust store is used to authenticate peers. A keystore is used to authenticate yourself.

Since the topic is old, most of the answers don't work on Angular 6/7/8/9/10 and/or use other libs.
So here is a short and simple solution for Angular 6+ with RxJS.
Import the necessary stuff first:
import { Component, OnInit, OnDestroy } from '@angular/core';
import { Subject, Subscription } from 'rxjs';
import { debounceTime, distinctUntilChanged } from 'rxjs/operators';
Initialize on ngOnInit
:
export class MyComponent implements OnInit, OnDestroy {
public notesText: string;
private notesModelChanged: Subject<string> = new Subject<string>();
private notesModelChangeSubscription: Subscription
constructor() { }
ngOnInit() {
this.notesModelChangeSubscription = this.notesModelChanged
.pipe(
debounceTime(2000),
distinctUntilChanged()
)
.subscribe(newText => {
this.notesText = newText;
console.log(newText);
});
}
ngOnDestroy() {
this.notesModelChangeSubscription.unsubscribe();
}
}
Use this way:
<input [ngModel]='notesText' (ngModelChange)='notesModelChanged.next($event)' />
P.S.: For more complex and efficient solutions you might still want to check other answers.
$text='<span style="font-weight: bold;">Foo</span>';
$text=preg_replace( '/<span style="font-weight: bold;">(.*?)<\/span>/', '<strong>$1</strong>',$text);
Note: only work for your example.
How about onblur event :
<input type="text" name="name" value="value" onblur="alert(1);"/>
MySQL create function syntax:
DELIMITER //
CREATE FUNCTION GETFULLNAME(fname CHAR(250),lname CHAR(250))
RETURNS CHAR(250)
BEGIN
DECLARE fullname CHAR(250);
SET fullname=CONCAT(fname,' ',lname);

END //
DELIMITER ;
Use This Function In Your Query
SELECT a.*,GETFULLNAME(a.fname,a.lname) FROM namedbtbl as a
SELECT GETFULLNAME("Biswarup","Adhikari") as myname;
Watch this Video how to create mysql function and how to use in your query
This is an Oracle-specific notation for an outer join. It means that it will include all rows from t1, and use NULLS in the t0 columns if there is no corresponding row in t0.
In standard SQL one would write:
SELECT t0.foo, t1.bar
FROM FIRST_TABLE t0
RIGHT OUTER JOIN SECOND_TABLE t1;
Oracle recommends not to use those joins anymore if your version supports ANSI joins (LEFT/RIGHT JOIN) :
Oracle recommends that you use the FROM clause OUTER JOIN syntax rather than the Oracle join operator. Outer join queries that use the Oracle join operator (+) are subject to the following rules and restrictions […]
If you're using some plugin which takes string and use construct Regex to create Regex Object i:e new RegExp()
Than Below string will work
'^\\S*$'
It's same regex @Bergi mentioned just the string version for new RegExp constructor
hat tip http://linux.subogero.com/894/cron-on-cygwin/
Start the cygwin-setup and add the “cron” package from the “Admin” category.
We’ll run cron as a service by user SYSTEM. Poor SYSTEM therefore needs a home directory and a shell. The “/etc/passwd” file will define them.
$ mkdir /root
$ chown SYSTEM:root /root
$ mcedit /etc/passwd
SYSTEM:*:......:/root:/bin/bash
The start the service:
$ cron-config
Do you want to remove or reinstall it (yes/no) yes
Do you want to install the cron daemon as a service? (yes/no) yes
Enter the value of CYGWIN for the daemon: [ ] ntsec
Do you want the cron daemon to run as yourself? (yes/no) no
Do you want to start the cron daemon as a service now? (yes/no) yes
Local users can now define their scheduled tasks like this (crontab will start your favourite editor):
$ crontab -e # edit your user specific cron-table HOME=/home/foo
PATH=/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:$PATH
# testing - one per line
* * * * * touch ~/cron
@reboot ~/foo.sh
45 11 * * * ~/lunch_message_to_mates.sh
Domain users: it does not work. Poor cron is unable to run scheduled tasks on behalf of domain users on the machine. But there is another way: cron also runs stuff found in the system level cron table in “/etc/crontab”. So insert your suff there, so that SYSTEM does it on its own behalf:
$ touch /etc/crontab
$ chown SYSTEM /etc/crontab
$ mcedit /etc/crontab
HOME=/root
PATH=/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:$PATH
* * * * * SYSTEM touch ~/cron
@reboot SYSTEM rm -f /tmp/.ssh*
Finally a few words about crontab entries. They are either environment settings or scheduled commands. As seen above, on Cygwin it’s best to create a usable PATH. Home dir and shell are normally taken from “/etc/passwd”.
As to the columns of scheduled commands see the manual page.
If certain crontab entries do not run, the best diagnostic tool is this:
$ cronevents
You can access the fields by indexing the object array:
foreach (object[] item in selectedValues)
{
idTextBox.Text = item[0];
titleTextBox.Text = item[1];
contentTextBox.Text = item[2];
}
That said, you'd be better off storing the fields in a small class of your own if the number of items is not dynamic:
public class MyObject
{
public int Id { get; set; }
public string Title { get; set; }
public string Content { get; set; }
}
Then you can do:
foreach (MyObject item in selectedValues)
{
idTextBox.Text = item.Id;
titleTextBox.Text = item.Title;
contentTextBox.Text = item.Content;
}
Consider:
class Bike(object):
def __init__(self, name, weight, cost):
self.name = name
self.weight = weight
self.cost = cost
bikes = {
# Bike designed for children"
"Trike": Bike("Trike", 20, 100), # <--
# Bike designed for everyone"
"Kruzer": Bike("Kruzer", 50, 165), # <--
}
# Markup of 20% on all sales
margin = .2
# Revenue minus cost after sale
for bike in bikes.values():
profit = bike.cost * margin
print(profit)
Output:
33.0 20.0
The difference is that in your bikes
dictionary, you're initializing the values as lists [...]
. Instead, it looks like the rest of your code wants Bike
instances. So create Bike
instances: Bike(...)
.
As for your error
AttributeError: 'list' object has no attribute 'cost'
this will occur when you try to call .cost
on a list
object. Pretty straightforward, but we can figure out what happened by looking at where you call .cost
-- in this line:
profit = bike.cost * margin
This indicates that at least one bike
(that is, a member of bikes.values()
is a list). If you look at where you defined bikes
you can see that the values were, in fact, lists. So this error makes sense.
But since your class has a cost attribute, it looked like you were trying to use Bike
instances as values, so I made that little change:
[...] -> Bike(...)
and you're all set.
On .Net 4.7.2 to invoke a method inside a class loaded from an external assembly you can use the following code in VB.net
Dim assembly As Reflection.Assembly = Nothing
Try

Dim typeIni = assembly.[GetType](AssemblyNameSpace & "." & "nameOfClass")
Dim iniClass = Activator.CreateInstance(typeIni, True)
Dim methodInfo = typeIni.GetMethod("nameOfMethod")
'replace nothing by a parameter array if you need to pass var. paramenters
Dim parametersArray As Object() = New Object() {...}
'without parameters is like this
Dim result = methodInfo.Invoke(iniClass, Nothing)
Catch ex As Exception
MsgBox("Error initializing main layout:" & ex.Message)

Import connect
from react-redux
and use it to connect the component with the state connect(mapStates,mapDispatch)(component)
import React from "react";
import { connect } from "react-redux";
const MyComponent = (props) => {
return (
<div>
<h1>{props.title}</h1>
</div>
);
}
}
Finally you need to map the states to the props to access them with this.props
const mapStateToProps = state => {
return {
title: state.title
};
};
export default connect(mapStateToProps)(MyComponent);
Only the states that you map will be accessible via props

You Can use this code to read line by line in text file and You could also check about the first character is "*" then you can leave that..
Public Sub Test()
Dim ReadData as String
Open "C:\satheesh\myfile\file.txt" For Input As #1
Do Until EOF(1)
Line Input #1, ReadData 'Adding Line to read the whole line, not only first 128 positions
If Not Left(ReadData, 1) = "*" then
'' you can write the variable ReadData into the database or file
End If
Loop
Close #1
End Sub
Another way to solve this using xpath
WebDriver driver = new FirefoxDriver();
driver.get("https://www.facebook.com/");
driver.manage().timeouts().implicitlyWait(15, TimeUnit.SECONDS);
driver.findElement(By.xpath(//*[@id='email'])).sendKeys("[email protected]");
Hope that will help. :)
There is no difference, in browsers that you can find in the wild these days (that is, excluding things like Netscape 1 that you might find in a museum). There is no reason to suspect that any of them would be deprecated ever, especially since they are all valid in XML, in HTML 4.01, and in HTML5 CR.
There is no reason to use any of them, as opposite to using the Ascii quotation mark (") directly, except in the very special case where you have an attribute value enclosed in such marks and you would like to use the mark inside the value (e.g., title="Hello "world""
), and even then, there are almost always better options (like title='Hello "word"'
or title="Hello “word”"
.
If you want to use “smart” quotation marks instead, then it’s a different question, and none of the constructs has anything to do with them. Some people expect notations like "
to produce “smart” quotes, but it is easy to see that they don’t; the notations unambiguously denote the Ascii quote ("), as used in computer languages.
Inline-block is a halfway point between setting an element’s display to inline or to block. It keeps the element in the inline flow of the document like display:inline does, but you can manipulate the element’s box attributes (width, height and vertical margins) like you can with display:block.
We must not use block elements within inline elements. This is invalid and there is no reason to do such practices.
If you need to run request as the current user from desktop application use CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials
(see on MSDN).
Your code looks fine if you need to run a request from server side code or under a different user.
Please note that you should be careful when storing passwords - consider using the SecureString
version of the constructor.

buttonWell my client side (a cshtml file) was using DataTables to display a grid (now using Infragistics control which are great). And once the user clicked on the row, I captured the row event and the date associated with that record in order to go back to the server and make additional server-side requests for trades, etc. And no - I DID NOT stringify it...
The DataTables def started as this (leaving lots of stuff out), and the click event is seen below where I PUSH onto my Json object :
oTablePf = $('#pftable').dataTable({ // INIT CODE
"aaData": PfJsonData,
'aoColumnDefs': [
{ "sTitle": "Pf Id", "aTargets": [0] },
{ "sClass": "**td_nodedate**", "aTargets": [3] }
]
});
$("#pftable").delegate("tbody tr", "click", function (event) { // ROW CLICK EVT!!
var rownum = $(this).index();
var thisPfId = $(this).find('.td_pfid').text(); // Find Port Id and Node Date
var thisDate = $(this).find('.td_nodedate').text();
//INIT JSON DATA
var nodeDatesJson = {
"nodedatelist":[]
};
// omitting some code here...
var dateArry = thisDate.split("/");
var nodeDate = dateArry[2] + "-" + dateArry[0] + "-" + dateArry[1];
nodeDatesJson.nodedatelist.push({ nodedate: nodeDate });
getTradeContribs(thisPfId, nodeDatesJson); // GET TRADE CONTRIBUTIONS
});

The helper provided by @Richiban above works great except it doesn't handle the situation where an exception is thrown, but not the type expected. The following addresses that:
using System;
using Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UnitTesting;
namespace YourProject.Tests
{
public static class MyAssert
{
/// <summary>
/// Helper for Asserting that a function throws an exception of a particular type.
/// </summary>
public static void Throws<T>( Action func ) where T : Exception
{
Exception exceptionOther = null;
var exceptionThrown = false;
try
{
func.Invoke();
}
catch ( T )
{
exceptionThrown = true;
}
catch (Exception e) {
exceptionOther = e;
}
if ( !exceptionThrown )
{
if (exceptionOther != null) {
throw new AssertFailedException(
String.Format("An exception of type {0} was expected, but not thrown. Instead, an exception of type {1} was thrown.", typeof(T), exceptionOther.GetType()),
exceptionOther
);
}
throw new AssertFailedException(
String.Format("An exception of type {0} was expected, but no exception was thrown.", typeof(T))
);
}
}
}
}
There is an NPM package is-html that can attempt to solve this https://github.com/sindresorhus/is-html
No. It is not possible to share the same port at a particular instant. But you can make your application such a way that it will make the port access at different instant.
TL;DR: You should add a JProperty to a JObject. Simple. The index query returns a JValue, so figure out how to get the JProperty instead :)
The accepted answer is not answering the question as it seems. What if I want to specifically add a JProperty after a specific one? First, lets start with terminologies which really had my head worked up.
"name":"value"
.Now, when you query Json item using the index [], you are getting the JToken without the identifier, which might be a JContainer or a JValue (requires casting), but you cannot add anything after it, because it is only a value. You can change it itself, query more deep values, but you cannot add anything after it for example.
What you actually want to get is the property as whole, and then add another property after it as desired. For this, you use JOjbect.Property("name")
, and then create another JProperty of your desire and then add it after this using AddAfterSelf
method. You are done then.

This is the code I modified.
public class Program
{
public static void Main()

""fruit"": {
""apple"": {
""colour"": ""red"",
""size"": ""small""
},
""orange"": {
""colour"": ""orange"",
""size"": ""large""
}
}
}
}";
var foodJsonObj = JObject.Parse(jsonText);
var bananaJson = JObject.Parse(@"{ ""banana"" : { ""colour"": ""yellow"", ""size"": ""medium""}}");
var fruitJObject = foodJsonObj["food"]["fruit"] as JObject;
fruitJObject.Property("orange").AddAfterSelf(new JProperty("banana", fruitJObject));
Console.WriteLine(foodJsonObj.ToString());
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
Console.WriteLine(ex.GetType().Name + ": " + ex.Message);
}
}

If you're just interested in the properties and data types from the database, you can use Model.inspect
.
irb(main):001:0> User.inspect
=> "User(id: integer, email: string, encrypted_password: string,
reset_password_token: string, reset_password_sent_at: datetime,
remember_created_at: datetime, sign_in_count: integer,
current_sign_in_at: datetime, last_sign_in_at: datetime,
current_sign_in_ip: string, last_sign_in_ip: string, created_at: datetime,
updated_at: datetime)"
Alternatively, having run rake db:create
and rake db:migrate
for your development environment, the file db/schema.rb
will contain the authoritative source for your database structure:
ActiveRecord::Schema.define(version: 20130712162401) do
create_table "users", force: true do |t|
t.string "email", default: "", null: false
t.string "encrypted_password", default: "", null: false
t.string "reset_password_token"
t.datetime "reset_password_sent_at"
t.datetime "remember_created_at"
t.integer "sign_in_count", default: 0
t.datetime "current_sign_in_at"
t.datetime "last_sign_in_at"
t.string "current_sign_in_ip"
t.string "last_sign_in_ip"
t.datetime "created_at"
t.datetime "updated_at"
end
end

If bringing existing Visual Studio 2015 solution into Visual Studio 2017 and you want to build it with c++17 native compiler, you should first Retarget the solution/projects to v141 , THEN the dropdown will appear as described above ( Configuration Properties -> C/C++ -> Language -> Language Standard)
Some of the other answers given are great. But I am surprised that no one mentioned that it can be used to help enforce const
correctness in a compact way.
Something like this:
const int n = (x != 0) ? 10 : 20;
so basically n
is a const
whose initial value is dependent on a condition statement. The easiest alternative is to make n
not a const
, this would allow an ordinary if
to initialize it. But if you want it to be const
, it cannot be done with an ordinary if
. The best substitute you could make would be to use a helper function like this:
int f(int x) {
if(x != 0) { return 10; } else { return 20; }
}
const int n = f(x);
but the ternary if version is far more compact and arguably more readable.
If you are running laravel inside docker then access its filesystem

I have put something like this in my Controller class and it worked:

From GitHub:
Caitp-- It's deprecated because there are known, very silly problems with

Edit: The issue addressed in this answer have been resolved in angular.js version 1.2.7. $broadcast
now avoids bubbling over unregistered scopes and runs just as fast as $emit.
So, now you can:
$broadcast
from the $rootScope
$on
from the local $scope
that needs to know about the eventOriginal Answer Below
I highly advise not to use $rootScope.$broadcast
+ $scope.$on
but rather $rootScope.$emit
+ $rootScope.$on
. The former can cause serious performance problems as raised by @numan. That is because the event will bubble down through all scopes.
However, the latter (using $rootScope.$emit
+ $rootScope.$on
) does not suffer from this and can therefore be used as a fast communication channel!
From the angular documentation of $emit
:
Dispatches an event name upwards through the scope hierarchy notifying the registered
Since there is no scope above $rootScope
, there is no bubbling happening. It is totally safe to use $rootScope.$emit()
/ $rootScope.$on()
as an EventBus.
However, there is one gotcha when using it from within Controllers. If you directly bind to $rootScope.$on()
from within a controller, you'll have to clean up the binding yourself when your local $scope
gets destroyed. This is because controllers (in contrast to services) can get instantiated multiple times over the lifetime of an application which would result into bindings summing up eventually creating memory leaks all over the place :)
To unregister, just listen on your $scope
's $destroy
event and then call the function that was returned by $rootScope.$on
.
angular
.module('MyApp')
.controller('MyController', ['$scope', '$rootScope', function MyController($scope, $rootScope) {
var unbind = $rootScope.$on('someComponent.someCrazyEvent', function(){
console.log('foo');
});
$scope.$on('$destroy', unbind);
}
]);
I would say, that's not really an angular specific thing as it applies to other EventBus implementations as well, that you have to clean up resources.
However, you can make your life easier for those cases. For instance, you could monkey patch $rootScope
and give it a $onRootScope
that subscribes to events emitted on the $rootScope
but also directly cleans up the handler when the local $scope
gets destroyed.
The cleanest way to monkey patch the $rootScope
to provide such $onRootScope
method would be through a decorator (a run block will probably do it just fine as well but pssst, don't tell anybody)
To make sure the $onRootScope
property doesn't show up unexpected when enumerating over $scope
we use Object.defineProperty()
and set enumerable
to false
. Keep in mind that you might need an ES5 shim.
angular
.module('MyApp')
.config(['$provide', function($provide){
$provide.decorator('$rootScope', ['$delegate', function($delegate){
Object.defineProperty($delegate.constructor.prototype, '$onRootScope', {
value: function(name, listener){
var unsubscribe = $delegate.$on(name, listener);
this.$on('$destroy', unsubscribe);
return unsubscribe;
},
enumerable: false
});
return $delegate;
}]);
}]);
With this method in place the controller code from above can be simplified to:
angular
.module('MyApp')
.controller('MyController', ['$scope', function MyController($scope) {
$scope.$onRootScope('someComponent.someCrazyEvent', function(){
console.log('foo');
});
}
]);
So as a final outcome of all this I highly advise you to use $rootScope.$emit
+ $scope.$onRootScope
.
Btw, I'm trying to convince the angular team to address the problem within angular core. There's a discussion going on here: https://github.com/angular/angular.js/issues/4574
Here is a jsperf that shows how much of a perf impact $broadcast
brings to the table in a decent scenario with just 100 $scope
's.
As of PHP 7.3, array_key_last
is available

The w3 org said:
By default, SGML requires that all attribute values be delimited using either double quotation marks (ASCII decimal 34) or single quotation marks (ASCII decimal 39). Single quote marks can be included within the attribute value when the value is delimited by double quote marks, and vice versa. Authors may also use numeric character references to represent double quotes (
"
) and single quotes ('
). For double quotes authors can also use the character entity reference"
.
So... seems to be no difference. Only depends on your style.

spark-csv is part of core Spark functionality and doesn't require a separate library. So you could just do for example
df = spark.read.format("csv").option("header", "true").load("csvfile.csv")
In scala,(this works for any format-in delimiter mention "," for csv, "\t" for tsv etc)
val df = sqlContext.read.format("com.databricks.spark.csv")
.option("delimiter", ",")
.load("csvfile.csv")
You can use DAYS.between
from java.time.temporal.ChronoUnit
e.g.
import java.time.temporal.ChronoUnit;
public long getDaysCountBetweenDates(LocalDate dateBefore, LocalDate dateAfter) {
return DAYS.between(dateBefore, dateAfter);
}
From http://www.codeproject.com/KB/recipes/wildcardtoregex.aspx:
public static string WildcardToRegex(string pattern)
{
return "^" + Regex.Escape(pattern)
.Replace(@"\*", ".*")
.Replace(@"\?", ".")
+ "$";
}
So something like foo*.xls?
will get transformed to ^foo.*\.xls.$
.
xml:space="preserve"
has to work for all compliant XML parsers.
However, note that in HTML the line break is just whitespace and NOT a line break (this is represented with the <br />
(X)HTML tag, maybe this is the problem which you are facing.
You can also add
and/or
to insert CR/LF characters.
There is no difference at all!
1) git checkout -b branch origin/branch
If there is no --track
and no --no-track
, --track
is assumed as default. The default can be changed with the setting branch.autosetupmerge
.
In effect, 1) behaves like git checkout -b branch --track origin/branch
.
2) git checkout --track origin/branch
“As a convenience”, --track
without -b
implies -b
and the argument to -b
is guessed to be “branch”. The guessing is driven by the configuration variable remote.origin.fetch
.
In effect, 2) behaves like git checkout -b branch --track origin/branch
.
As you can see: no difference.
But it gets even better:
3) git checkout branch
is also equivalent to git checkout -b branch --track origin/branch
if “branch” does not exist yet but “origin/branch” does1.
All three commands set the “upstream” of “branch” to be “origin/branch” (or they fail).
Upstream is used as reference point of argument-less git status
, git push
, git merge
and thus git pull
(if configured like that (which is the default or almost the default)).
E.g. git status
tells you how far behind or ahead you are of upstream, if one is configured.
git push
is configured to push the current branch upstream by default2 since git 2.0.
1 ...and if “origin” is the only remote having “branch”
2 the default (named “simple”) also enforces for both branch names to be equal
fig.add_subplot(ROW,COLUMN,POSITION)
Examples
`fig.add_subplot(111)` #There is only one subplot or graph
`fig.add_subplot(211)` *and* `fig.add_subplot(212)`
There are total 2 rows,1 column therefore 2 subgraphs can be plotted. Its location is 1st. There are total 2 rows,1 column therefore 2 subgraphs can be plotted.Its location is 2nd
Static makes the clock member a class member instead of an instance member. Without the static keyword you would need to create an instance of the Hello class (which has a clock member variable) - e.g.
Hello hello = new Hello();
hello.clock.sayTime();
There are now multiple ways to mimic this same effect but further tailor the properties based on the use case. As stated above, this works:
.product__specfield_8_arrow { display: inline-block }
but also
.product__specfield_8_arrow { display: inline-flex } // flex container will be inline
.product__specfield_8_arrow { display: inline-grid } // grid container will be inline
.product__specfield_8_arrow { display: inline-table } // table will be inline-level table
This JSFiddle shows how similar these display properties are in this case.
For a relevant discussion please see this SO post.
I hope following program will solve your problem

String formatedDate = cal.get(Calendar.DATE) + "/" + (cal.get(Calendar.MONTH) + 1) + "/" + cal.get(Calendar.YEAR);
System.out.println("formatedDate : " + formatedDate);

To anyone using VS2015: I was encountering a "407 Proxy Authentication required" error, which broke my build. After a few hours investigating, it turns out MSBuild wasn't sending credentials when trying to download Nuget as part of the 'DownloadNuGet' target. The solution was to add the following XML to C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\14.0\Bin\MSBuild.exe.config inside the <configuration>
element:
<system.net>
<defaultProxy useDefaultCredentials="true">
</defaultProxy>

You could use sp_executesql
instead of exec
. That allows you to specify an output parameter.
declare @out_var varchar(max);
execute sp_executesql
N'select @out_var = ''hello world''',
N'@out_var varchar(max) OUTPUT',
@out_var = @out_var output;
select @out_var;
This prints "hello world".
One possibility would be to use Objectify or ElementTree from the lxml module. An older version ElementTree is also available in the python xml.etree module as well. Either of these will get your xml converted to Python objects which you can then use simplejson to serialize the object to JSON.
While this may seem like a painful intermediate step, it starts making more sense when you're dealing with both XML and normal Python objects.
Like others have said, I had this exact same problem and it turned out to be related to the password / access secret. I generated a password for my s3 user that was not valid, and it didn't inform me. When trying to connect with the user, it gave this error. It doesn't seem to like certain or all symbols in passwords (at least for Minio)
Static methods are useful if you have only one instance (situation, circumstance) where you're going to use the method, and you don't need multiple copies (objects). For example, if you're writing a method that logs onto one and only one web site, downloads the weather data, and then returns the values, you could write it as static because you can hard code all the necessary data within the method and you're not going to have multiple instances or copies. You can then access the method statically using one of the following:
MyClass.myMethod();
this.myMethod();
myMethod();
Non-static methods are used if you're going to use your method to create multiple copies. For example, if you want to download the weather data from Boston, Miami, and Los Angeles, and if you can do so from within your method without having to individually customize the code for each separate location, you then access the method non-statically:
MyClass boston = new MyClassConstructor();
boston.myMethod("bostonURL");
MyClass miami = new MyClassConstructor();
miami.myMethod("miamiURL");
MyClass losAngeles = new MyClassConstructor();
losAngeles.myMethod("losAngelesURL");
In the above example, Java creates three separate objects and memory locations from the same method that you can individually access with the "boston", "miami", or "losAngeles" reference. You can't access any of the above statically, because MyClass.myMethod(); is a generic reference to the method, not to the individual objects that the non-static reference created.
If you run into a situation where the way you access each location, or the way the data is returned, is sufficiently different that you can't write a "one size fits all" method without jumping through a lot of hoops, you can better accomplish your goal by writing three separate static methods, one for each location.
Excuse me when I answer your questions out-of-order, it makes it easier to understand this way.
When static variable is declared in a header file is its scope limited to .h file or across all units.
There is no such thing as a "header file scope". The header file gets included into source files. The translation unit is the source file including the text from the header files. Whatever you write in a header file gets copied into each including source file.
As such, a static variable declared in a header file is like a static variable in each individual source file.
Since declaring a variable static
this way means internal linkage, every translation unit #include
ing your header file gets its own, individual variable (which is not visible outside your translation unit). This is usually not what you want.
I would like to know what is the difference between static variables in a header file vs declared in a class.
In a class declaration, static
means that all instances of the class share this member variable; i.e., you might have hundreds of objects of this type, but whenever one of these objects refers to the static
(or "class") variable, it's the same value for all objects. You could think of it as a "class global".
Also generally static variable is initialized in .cpp file when declared in a class right ?
Yes, one (and only one) translation unit must initialize the class variable.
So that does mean static variable scope is limited to 2 compilation units ?
As I said:
static
means completely different things depending on context.Global static
limits scope to the translation unit. Class static
means global to all instances.
I hope this helps.
PS: Check the last paragraph of Chubsdad's answer, about how you shouldn't use static
in C++ for indicating internal linkage, but anonymous namespaces. (Because he's right. ;-) )
Use Range("A1").Text
instead of .Value
post comment edit:
Why?
Because the .Text
property of Range object returns what is literally visible in the spreadsheet, so if you cell displays for example i100l:25he*_92
then <- Text
will return exactly what it in the cell including any formatting.
The .Value
and .Value2
properties return what's stored in the cell under the hood excluding formatting. Specially .Value2
for date types, it will return the decimal representation.
If you want to dig deeper into the meaning and performance, I just found this article
which seems like a good guide

Here you go @Santosh
type in (MANUALLY) the values from the DEFAULT (col A) to other columns
Do not format column A at all
Format column B as Text
Format column C as Date[dd/mm/yyyy]
Format column D as Percentage
now,
paste this code in a module
Sub main()
Dim ws As Worksheet, i&, j&
Set ws = Sheets(1)
For i = 3 To 7
For j = 1 To 4
Debug.Print _
"row " & i & vbTab & vbTab & _
Cells(i, j).Text & vbTab & _
Cells(i, j).Value & vbTab & _
Cells(i, j).Value2
Next j
Next i
End Sub
and Analyse
the output! Its really easy and there isn't much more i can do to help :)

I met this problem with typescript

module.exports = {

};
This does the job for me
For me, I define some properties:
disabledFirstOption = true;
get isIEOrEdge(): boolean {
return /msie\s|trident\/|edge\//i.test(window.navigator.userAgent)
}
Then in the constructor and ngOnInit
constructor() {
this.disabledFirstOption = false;
}
ngOnInit() {
setTimeout(() => {
this.disabledFirstOption = true;
});
}
And in the template I add this as the first option inside the select element
<option *ngIf="isIEOrEdge" [value]="undefined" [disabled]="disabledFirstOption" selected></option>
If you allow to select the first option you can just remove the usage of the property disabledFirstOption
I did this in MonoTouch in the following method, I'm sure a pure Obj-C based approach wouldn't be too different. I used this inside a class which had changing URLs at times which is why I just didn't put it in a if/elseif statement.
NSString *myUrls = @"fb://profile/100000369031300|http://www.facebook.com/ytn3rd";
NSArray *urls = [myUrls componentsSeparatedByString:@"|"];
for (NSString *url in urls){
NSURL *nsurl = [NSURL URLWithString:url];
if ([[UIApplication sharedApplication] canOpenURL:nsurl]){
[[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:nsurl];
break;
}
}
The break is not always called before your app changes to Safari/Facebook. I assume your program will halt there and call it when you come back to it.
You need to convert it to milliseconds by multiplying the timestamp by 1000:
java.util.Date dateTime=new java.util.Date((long)timeStamp*1000);
Dim aDate As DateTime = #3/1/2008# 'sample date
Dim StartDate As DateTime = aDate.AddMonths(-1).AddDays(-(aDate.Day - 1))
Dim EndDate As DateTime = StartDate.AddDays(DateTime.DaysInMonth(StartDate.Year, StartDate.Month) - 1)
'to access just the date portion
' StartDate.Date
' EndDate.Date
Take a look at this , we can simply do this with outline-offset

In 5.2.47 (at least on mac), go the location of the preferences is: MySQLWorkbench->Preferences->SQL Editor
Then you'll see both:
DBMS connection keep-alive interval (in seconds): DBMS connection read time out (in seconds):
The latter is where you'll want to up the limit from 600 to something a bit more.
This is mainly for future readers. As the question (at least the title) focuses on "connecting to sql server database from node js", I would like to chip in about "mssql" node module.
At this moment, we have a stable version of Microsoft SQL Server driver for NodeJs ("msnodesql") available here: https://www.npmjs.com/package/msnodesql. While it does a great job of native integration to Microsoft SQL Server database (than any other node module), there are couple of things to note about.
"msnodesql" require a few pre-requisites (like python, VC++, SQL native client etc.) to be installed on the host machine. That makes your "node" app "Windows" dependent. If you are fine with "Windows" based deployment, working with "msnodesql" is the best.
On the other hand, there is another module called "mssql" (available here https://www.npmjs.com/package/mssql) which can work with "tedious" or "msnodesql" based on configuration. While this module may not be as comprehensive as "msnodesql", it pretty much solves most of the needs.
If you would like to start with "mssql", I came across a simple and straight forward video, which explains about connecting to Microsoft SQL Server database using NodeJs here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLcXfRH1YzE
Source code for the above video is available here: http://techcbt.com/Post/341/Node-js-basic-programming-tutorials-videos/how-to-connect-to-microsoft-sql-server-using-node-js
Just in case, if the above links are not working, I am including the source code here:

The above code is pretty self explanatory. We define the db connection parameters (in "dbConfig" JS object) and then use "Connection" object to connect to SQL Server. In order to execute a "SELECT" statement, in this case, it uses "Request" object which internally works with "Connection" object. The code explains both flavors of using "promise" and "callback" based executions.
The above source code explains only about connecting to sql server database and executing a SELECT query. You can easily take it to the next level by following documentation of "mssql" node available at: https://www.npmjs.com/package/mssql
UPDATE: There is a new video which does CRUD operations using pure Node.js REST standard (with Microsoft SQL Server) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xT2AvjQ7q9E. It is a fantastic video which explains everything from scratch (it has got heck a lot of code and it will not be that pleasing to explain/copy the entire code here)
Try this one
.responsive-container{
display:table;
}
.img-container{
display:table-cell;
vertical-align: middle;
}
First, remove all explicit setting of modal presentation style in code and do the following:
modalPresentation
style to Over Current context
Provide Context
and Define Context
.
They seem to be working even unchecked.If you want to get stdout and stderr back (including extracting it from the CalledProcessError in the event that one occurs), use the following:
import subprocess
command = ["ls", "-l"]
try:
output = subprocess.check_output(command, stderr=subprocess.STDOUT).decode()
success = True
except subprocess.CalledProcessError as e:
output = e.output.decode()
success = False
print(output)
This is Python 2 and 3 compatible.
If your command is a string rather than an array, prefix this with:
import shlex
command = shlex.split(command)
Open res -> values -> styles.xml
and to your <style>
add this line replacing with your image path <item name="android:windowBackground">@drawable/background</item>
. Example:
<resources>
<!-- Base application theme. -->
<style name="AppTheme" parent="Theme.AppCompat.Light.NoActionBar">
<!-- Customize your theme here. -->
<item name="colorPrimary">@color/colorPrimary</item>
<item name="colorPrimaryDark">@color/colorPrimaryDark</item>
<item name="colorAccent">@color/colorAccent</item>
<item name="android:windowBackground">@drawable/background</item>
</style>
</resources>
There is a <item name ="android:colorBackground">@color/black</item>
also, that will affect not only your main window background but all the component in your app. Read about customize theme here.
If you want version specific styles:
If a new version of Android adds theme attributes that you want to use, you can add them to your theme while still being compatible with old versions. All you need is another styles.xml file saved in a values directory that includes the resource version qualifier. For example:
res/values/styles.xml # themes for all versions res/values-v21/styles.xml # themes for API level 21+ only
Because the styles in the values/styles.xml file are available for all versions, your themes in values-v21/styles.xml can inherit them. As such, you can avoid duplicating styles by beginning with a "base" theme and then extending it in your version-specific styles.
When trying to enter continuous text (say, a query) do not put commas at the end of the line or you will get a list of strings instead of one long string:
queryText= "SELECT * FROM TABLE1 AS T1"\
"JOIN TABLE2 AS T2 ON T1.SOMETHING = T2.SOMETHING"\
"JOIN TABLE3 AS T3 ON T3.SOMETHING = T2.SOMETHING"\
"WHERE SOMETHING BETWEEN <WHATEVER> AND <WHATEVER ELSE>"\
"ORDER BY WHATEVERS DESC"
kinda like that.
There is a comment like this from acgtyrant
, sorry, didn't see that. :/
Contrary to what David Knight says, these two alternatives return the same response in MS SQL 2008:
SELECT CONVERT(VARCHAR(32),HashBytes('MD5', 'Hello World'),2)
SELECT UPPER(master.dbo.fn_varbintohexsubstring(0, HashBytes('MD5', 'Hello World'), 1, 0))
So it looks like the first one is a better choice, starting from version 2008.
R defines a ~
(tilde) operator for use in formulas. Formulas have all sorts of uses, but perhaps the most common is for regression:
library(datasets)
lm( myFormula, data=iris)
help("~")
or help("formula")
will teach you more.
@Spacedman has covered the basics. Let's discuss how it works.
First, being an operator, note that it is essentially a shortcut to a function (with two arguments):
> `~`(lhs,rhs)
lhs ~ rhs
> lhs ~ rhs
lhs ~ rhs
That can be helpful to know for use in e.g. apply
family commands.
Second, you can manipulate the formula as text:
oldform <- as.character(myFormula) # Get components
myFormula <- as.formula( paste( oldform[2], "Sepal.Length", sep="~" ) )
Third, you can manipulate it as a list:
myFormula[[2]]
myFormula[[3]]
Finally, there are some helpful tricks with formulae (see help("formula")
for more):
myFormula <- Species ~ .
For example, the version above is the same as the original version, since the dot means "all variables not yet used." This looks at the data.frame you use in your eventual model call, sees which variables exist in the data.frame but aren't explicitly mentioned in your formula, and replaces the dot with those missing variables.
This works for me, I only need first numbers in string:
TO_NUMBER(regexp_substr(h.HIST_OBSE, '\.*[[:digit:]]+\.*[[:digit:]]*'))
the field had the following string: "(43 Paginas) REGLAS DE PARTICIPACION"
.
result field: 43
Newer versions of svn support the --show-item
argument:
svn info --show-item revision
For the revision number of your local working copy, use:
svn info --show-item last-changed-revision
You can use os.system()
to execute a command line like this:
svn info | grep "Revision" | awk '{print $2}'
I do that in my nightly build scripts.
Also on some platforms there is a svnversion
command, but I think I had a reason not to use it. Ahh, right. You can't get the revision number from a remote repository to compare it to the local one using svnversion.
Static fields are initialized when the class is loaded by the class loader. Default values are assigned at this time. This is done in the order than they appear in the source code.
maybe problem with margin?

In my case, the solution was to close Android Studio and kill the java processs, which was very big (1.2 GB). After this, my project runs normally (OS X Mount Lion, Android Studio 1.2.2, iMac Mid 2011 4GB Ram).
I've done this, it works on every device I tested, and even on emulators:
// Return the NavigationBar height in pixels if it is present, otherwise return 0
public static int getNavigationBarHeight(Activity activity) {
Rect rectangle = new Rect();
DisplayMetrics displayMetrics = new DisplayMetrics();
activity.getWindow().getDecorView().getWindowVisibleDisplayFrame(rectangle);
activity.getWindowManager().getDefaultDisplay().getRealMetrics(displayMetrics);
return displayMetrics.heightPixels - (rectangle.top + rectangle.height());
}
The ASCII table contains 128 codes, with a total of 95 printable characters, of which only 52 characters are letters:
[0-127]
ASCII codes
[32-126]
printable characters
[48-57]
digits [0-9]
[65-90]
uppercase letters [A-Z]
[97-122]
lowercase letters [a-z]
You can use String.codePoints
method to get a stream over int
values of characters of this string and filter
out non-ASCII characters:
String str1 = "A função, Ãugent";
String str2 = str1.codePoints()
.filter(ch -> ch < 128)
.mapToObj(Character::toString)
.collect(Collectors.joining());
System.out.println(str2); // A funo, ugent
Or you can explicitly specify character ranges. For example filter out everything except letters:
String str3 = str1.codePoints()
.filter(ch -> ch >= 'A' && ch <= 'Z'
|| ch >= 'a' && ch <= 'z')
.mapToObj(Character::toString)
.collect(Collectors.joining());
System.out.println(str3); // Afunougent

The easiest option is to just use the list() command. However, if you don't want to use it or it dose not work for some bazaar reason, you can always use this method.
word = 'foo'
splitWord = []
for letter in word:
splitWord.append(letter)
print(splitWord) #prints ['f', 'o', 'o']
This is the fastest& clean way to do that :
I'm using Jquery-->
$('selector').on('change', function () {
console.log(this.id+": "+ this.value);
});
It is working pretty fine for me.
Use fnmatch
:
import fnmatch
lst = ['this','is','just','a','test']
filtered = fnmatch.filter(lst, 'th?s')
If you want to allow _
as a wildcard, just replace all underscores with '?'
(for one character) or *
(for multiple characters).
If you want your users to use even more powerful filtering options, consider allowing them to use regular expressions.
See this blog post. It uses jQuery, but it should help you even if you are not using it.
Basically you add this to your document.ready()
$('iframe').load(function() {
RunAfterIFrameLoaded();
});
import platform
is_windows = any(platform.win32_ver())
or
import sys
is_windows = hasattr(sys, 'getwindowsversion')

Status 422 (RFC 4918, Section 11.2) comes to mind:
The 422 (Unprocessable Entity) status code means the server understands the content type of the request entity (hence a 415(Unsupported Media Type) status code is inappropriate), and the syntax of the request entity is correct (thus a 400 (Bad Request) status code is inappropriate) but was unable to process the contained instructions. For example, this error condition may occur if an XML request body contains well-formed (i.e., syntactically correct), but semantically erroneous, XML instructions.
