There is a much simpler solution for that.
Actually treating the items of JArray as JObject works.

Although VS Code is a great editor for TypeScript projects, it needs a kick every now and again. Often, without warning, certain files cause it to freak out and complain. Mostly the fix seems to be to save and close all open files, then open tsconfig.json. After that you should be able to re-open the offending file without error. If it doesn't work, lather, rinse, and repeat.

If your tsconfig.json specifies its source files using the files array, IntelliSense will only function correctly if the file in question is referenced such that VS Code can find it by traversing the input file tree.

Edit: The 'reload window' command (added ages ago now) should solve this problem once and for all.

Dictionary<,> is the equivalent. While it doesn't have a Get(...) method, it does have an indexed property called Item which you can access in C# directly using index notation:

I just discovered this issue. I was able to get around it by using indirection. In each module define a function, lets call it indirect:

function indirect(js) { return eval(js); }

With that function in each module, you can then execute any code in the context of it.

E.g. if you had this import in your module:

You could then get the results of calling imported_fn from the console by doing this:

However, I have now also written a completely different and, I believe, better answer elsewhere on this page that uses a different approach to providing a cross-browser desktop-and-mobile solution to this problem.

Original answer:

Summary: A cross-browser, plain JavaScript (i.e. no-jQuery) solution to allow reading range input values without using on('input'... and/or on('change'... which work inconsistently between browsers.

As of today (late Feb, 2016), there is still browser inconsistency so I'm providing a new work-around here.

The problem: When using a range input, i.e. a slider, on('input'... provides continuously updated range values in Mac and Windows Firefox, Chrome and Opera as well as Mac Safari, while on('change'... only reports the range value upon mouse-up. In contrast, in Internet Explorer (v11), on('input'... does not work at all, and on('change'... is continuously updated.

I report here 2 strategies to get identical continuous range value reporting in all browsers using vanilla JavaScript (i.e. no jQuery) by using the mousedown, mousemove and (possibly) mouseup events.

Strategy 1: Shorter but less efficient

If you prefer shorter code over more efficient code, you can use this 1st solution which uses mousesdown and mousemove but not mouseup. You can use position:absolute; to absolutely position an element within a parent div. When using position:absolute; the element will be positioned absolutely from the first positioned parent div, if it can't find one it will position absolutely from the window so you will need to make sure the content div is positioned.

To make the content div positioned, all position values that aren't static will work, but relative is the easiest since it doesn't change the divs positioning by itself.

So add position:relative; to the content div, remove the float from the button and add the following css to the button:

You could manually set the cookie, but depending on your use case (and if you might want to add more types of persistent/session data in future) it might make more sense to use Django's sessions feature. This will let you get and set variables tied internally to the user's session cookie. Cool thing about this is that if you want to store a lot of data tied to a user's session, storing it all in cookies will add a lot of weight to HTTP requests and responses. With sessions the session cookie is all that is sent back and forth (though there is the overhead on Django's end of storing the session data to keep in mind).

To compare Strings in Java (android) it is used the method .compareTo();

It's harder than it really should be. Here's how I did this when I had to do it:

You need to set the UITableViewCell's backgroundView property to a custom UIView that draws the border and background itself in the appropriate colors. This view needs to be able to draw the borders in 4 different modes, rounded on the top for the first cell in a section, rounded on the bottom for the last cell in a section, no rounded corners for cells in the middle of a section, and rounded on all 4 corners for sections that contain one cell.

Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to have this mode set automatically, so I had to set it in the UITableViewDataSource's -cellForRowAtIndexPath method.

It's a real PITA but I've confirmed with Apple engineers that this is currently the only way.

Update Here's the code for that custom bg view. There's a drawing bug that makes the rounded corners look a little funny, but we moved to a different design and scrapped the custom backgrounds before I had a chance to fix it. Still this will probably be very helpful for you:

We had some code here (in VS2005 and C#2.0) where the previous engineers went out of their way to use list.ForEach( delegate(item) { foo;}); instead of foreach(item in list) {foo; }; for all the code that they wrote. e.g. a block of code for reading rows from a dataReader.

I still don't know exactly why they did this.

The drawbacks of list.ForEach() are:

• It is more verbose in C# 2.0. However, in C# 3 onwards, you can use the "=>" syntax to make some nicely terse expressions.

• It is less familiar. People who have to maintain this code will wonder why you did it that way. It took me awhile to decide that there wasn't any reason, except maybe to make the writer seem clever (the quality of the rest of the code undermined that). It was also less readable, with the "})" at the end of the delegate code block.

• See also Bill Wagner's book "Effective C#: 50 Specific Ways to Improve Your C#" where he talks about why foreach is preferred to other loops like for or while loops - the main point is that you are letting the compiler decide the best way to construct the loop. If a future version of the compiler manages to use a faster technique, then you will get this for free by using foreach and rebuilding, rather than changing your code.

• a foreach(item in list) construct allows you to use break or continue if you need to exit the iteration or the loop. But you cannot alter the list inside a foreach loop.

I'm surprised to see that list.ForEach is slightly faster. But that's probably not a valid reason to use it throughout , that would be premature optimisation. If your application uses a database or web service that, not loop control, is almost always going to be be where the time goes. And have you benchmarked it against a for loop too? The list.ForEach could be faster due to using that internally and a for loop without the wrapper would be even faster.

I disagree that the list.ForEach(delegate) version is "more functional" in any significant way. It does pass a function to a function, but there's no big difference in the outcome or program organisation.

I don't think that foreach(item in list) "says exactly how you want it done" - a for(int 1 = 0; i < count; i++) loop does that, a foreach loop leaves the choice of control up to the compiler.

My feeling is, on a new project, to use foreach(item in list) for most loops in order to adhere to the common usage and for readability, and use list.Foreach() only for short blocks, when you can do something more elegantly or compactly with the C# 3 "=>" operator. In cases like that, there may already be a LINQ extension method that is more specific than ForEach(). See if Where(), Select(), Any(), All(), Max() or one of the many other LINQ methods doesn't already do what you want from the loop.

In this file, I was able to change the following line

An old question, but one I had in the past when coming away from VBA scipts to php, where you could us "GoTo" to re-enter a loop "On Error" with a "Resume" and away it went still processing the function.
In php, after a bit of trial and error, I now use nested try{} catch{} for critical versus non critical processes, or even for interdependent class calls so I can trace my way back to the start of the error. e.g. if function b is dependant on function a, but function c is a nice to have but should not stop the process, and I still want to know the outcomes of all 3 regardless, here's what I do:

Now I can loop through my result array for each key and assess the outcomes. If there is a critical failure for a() or b().
I still have a point of reference on how far it got before a critical failure occurred within the $resultArr and if the exception handler is set correctly, I know if it was a() or b() that failed.
If c() fails, loop keeps going. If c() failed at various points, with a bit of extra post loop logic I can even find out if c() worked or had an error on each iteration by interrogating $resultArr[$key][2].

Here's another way of doing the code above using the openpyxl module that's compatible with xlsx. From what I've seen so far, it also keeps formatting.

When you use a decorator, you're replacing one function with another. In other words, if you have a decorator

Also, if you look at the pydoc result for that function, it won't be listed as taking one argument x; instead it'll be listed as taking *args and **kwargs because that's what with_logging takes.

If using a decorator always meant losing this information about a function, it would be a serious problem. That's why we have functools.wraps. This takes a function used in a decorator and adds the functionality of copying over the function name, docstring, arguments list, etc. And since wraps is itself a decorator, the following code does the correct thing:

I can tell you something:

Snippet #1 is not acceptable because it's ignoring exception. (it's swallowing it like nothing happened).

So do not add catch block that do nothing or just rethrows.

Catch block should add some value. For example output message to end user or log error.

Do not use exception for normal flow program logic. For example:

e.g input validation. <- This is not valid exceptional situation, rather you should write method IsValid(myInput); to check whether input item is valid or not.

Design code to avoid exception. For example:

int Parse(string input);

If we pass value that cannot be parsed to int, this method would throw and exception, instead of that we might write something like this:

bool TryParse(string input,out int result); <- this method would return boolean indicating if parse was successfull.

Maybe this is little bit out of scope of this question, but I hope this will help you to make right decisions when it's about try {} catch(){} and exceptions.

Notice we only "await" for Promise.all. We call calc without "await" multiple times, and we collect an array of unresolved promises right away. Then Promise.all waits for resolution of all of them and returns an array with the resolved values in order.

To remove line breaks using Python you can use replace function of a string.

As far as I know python will compile all modules you "import". However python will NOT compile a python script run using: "python script.py" (it will however compile any modules that the script imports).

The real questions is why you don't want python to compile the modules? You could probably automate a way of cleaning these up if they are getting in the way.

There is no conceivable way that the unused features in Django will give a performance penalty. Might just come in handy if you ever decide to upscale the project.

That question solved a quite similar question for me and I thought I should share :

3. Come to VirtualBox Manager, choose the network adapter as Bridged Adapter and Name to the device in Step #1.

What do you even want the result to be? 888888? If so, just remove the spaces with str_replace, then convert.

Based on IsmailS' comment the command which worked for me on OSX was:

My solution was slightly more complicated. After verifying the user the service was running as, running MSSMS as local and domain administrator, and checking folder permissions, I was still getting this error. My solution?

Folder ownership was still maintained by local account.

Properties > Security > Advanced > Owner > (domain/local user/group SQL services are running as)

This resolved the issue for me.

Use negative lookaround: (?!pattern)

Positive lookarounds can be used to assert that a pattern matches. Negative lookarounds is the opposite: it's used to assert that a pattern DOES NOT match. Some flavor supports assertions; some puts limitations on lookbehind, etc.

The reason why the sort function behaves so weird

From the documentation:

[...] the array is sorted according to each character's Unicode code point value, according to the string conversion of each element.

If you print the unicode point values of the array then it will get clear.

Conclusion:

sort() does sorting by only looking at the first index of the numbers. sort() does not care if a whole number is bigger than another, it compares the value of the unicode of the digits, and if there are two equal unicode values, then it checks if there is a next digit and compares it as well.

To sort correctly, you have to pass a compare function to sort() like explained here.

Add XAttribute in the constructor of the XElement, like

I got this sort of message when I had two files that depended on each other. The tricky thing here is that you'll get a circular reference if you just try to import each other (class A imports class B, class B imports class A) from their header files. So what you would do is instead place a forward (@class A) declaration in one of the classes' (class B's) header file. However, when attempting to use an ivar of class A within the implementation of class B, this very error comes up, merely adding an #import "A.h" in the .m file of class B fixed the problem for me.

Using a vertical writing mode can be particularly useful in circumstances where you want the aspect ratio of an element to remain constant, but want its size to scale in correlation to its height instead of width.

5 For set and multiset the value type is the same as the key type. For map and multimap it is equal to pair. Keys in an associative container are immutable.
6 iterator of an associative container is of the bidirectional iterator category. For associative containers where the value type is the same as the key type, both iterator and const_iterator are constant iterators. It is unspecified whether or not iterator and const_iterator are the same type.

So VC++ 2008 Dinkumware implementation is faulty.

Old answer:

You got that error because in certain implementations of the std lib the set::iterator is the same as set::const_iterator.

For example libstdc++ (shipped with g++) has it (see here for the entire source code):

Instead of opening swagger ui as a file - you put into browser file:///D:/swagger-ui/dist/index.html you can: create iis virtual directory which enables browsing and points to D:/swagger-ui

Also, on second thought, split will work in your case, since the first split is larger than the second. Split puts the balance of the input into the last split, so

I have got used to using "DoEvents" more often, but still tend to set things running without really double checking a sure stop method.

Then, today, having done it again, I thought, "Well just wait for the end in 3 hours", and started paddling around in the ribbon. Earlier, I had noticed in the "View" section of the Ribbon a "Macros" pull down, and thought I have a look to see if I could see my interminable Macro running....

I now realise you can also get this up using Alt-F8.

Then I thought, well what if I "Step into" a different Macro, would that rescue me? It did :-) It also works if you step into your running Macro (but you still lose where you're upto), unless you are a very lazy programmer like me and declare lots of "Global" variables, in which case the Global data is retained :-)

I get this a lot. I'm on a Galaxy S too. I unplug the cable from the phone, plug it back in and try launching the app again from Eclipse, and it usually does the trick. Eclipse seems to lose the connection to the phone occasionally but this seems to kick it back to life.

Why not just load the frame off screen or hidden and then display it once it has finished loading. You could show a loading icon in its place to begin with to give the user immediate feedback that it's loading.

You have to add this code to your custom key bindings:

The official mongo image has merged a PR to include the functionality to databases and admin users at startup.

The database initialisation will run scripts in /docker-entrypoint-initdb.d/ when there is nothing populated in the /data/db directory.

Usage and Lingo:

1. Hash tables are used to quickly store and retrieve data (or records).
2. Records are stored in buckets using hash keys
3. Hash keys are calculated by applying a hashing algorithm to a chosen value (the key value) contained within the record. This chosen value must be a common value to all the records.
4. Each bucket can have multiple records which are organized in a particular order.

Real World Example:

Hash & Co., founded in 1803 and lacking any computer technology had a total of 300 filing cabinets to keep the detailed information (the records) for their approximately 30,000 clients. Each file folder were clearly identified with its client number, a unique number from 0 to 29,999.

The filing clerks of that time had to quickly fetch and store client records for the working staff. The staff had decided that it would be more efficient to use a hashing methodology to store and retrieve their records.

To file a client record, filing clerks would use the unique client number written on the folder. Using this client number, they would modulate the hash key by 300 in order to identify the filing cabinet it is contained in. When they opened the filing cabinet they would discover that it contained many folders ordered by client number. After identifying the correct location, they would simply slip it in.

To retrieve a client record, filing clerks would be given a client number on a slip of paper. Using this unique client number (the hash key), they would modulate it by 300 in order to determine which filing cabinet had the clients folder. When they opened the filing cabinet they would discover that it contained many folders ordered by client number. Searching through the records they would quickly find the client folder and retrieve it.

In our real-world example, our buckets are filing cabinets and our records are file folders.

An important thing to remember is that computers (and their algorithms) deal with numbers better than with strings. So accessing a large array using an index is significantly much faster than accessing sequentially.

As Simon has mentioned which I believe to be very important is that the hashing part is to transform a large space (of arbitrary length, usually strings, etc) and mapping it to a small space (of known size, usually numbers) for indexing. This if very important to remember!

So in the example above, the 30,000 possible clients or so are mapped to a smaller space.

The main idea in this is to divide your entire data set into segments as to speed up the actual searching which is usually time consuming. In our example above, each of the 300 filing cabinet would (statistically) contain about 100 records. Searching (regardless the order) through 100 records is much faster than having to deal with 30,000.

You may have noticed that some actually already do this. But instead of devising a hashing methodology to generate a hash key, they will in most cases simply use the first letter of the last name. So if you have 26 filing cabinets each containing a letter from A to Z, you in theory have just segmented your data and enhanced the filing and retrieval process.

By the way, this will result in the content pane not being a container. If you want to add things to it you have to subclass a JPanel and override the paintComponent method.

In AVD Manager,

Go to Edit Icon on AVD Manager for selected Device.

Click on show advanced settings and increase ram size from 1500 mb to 2 GB.

Then it works.

NOTE: Some virtual devices do not allow you to update RAM, but if so, try installing Nexus 4. because it does.

...you're trying to open a directory as a file, which may (and on most non UNIX file systems will) fail.

Your other example though;

should work well if you just have the permission on a.txt. You may want to use a raw (r-prefixed) string though, to make sure your path does not contain any escape characters like \n that will be translated to special characters.

I don't see much details about performance and optimizer in the other answers.

Sometimes it is good to know that only INNER JOIN is associative which means the optimizer has the most option to play with it. It can reorder the join order to make it faster keeping the same result. The optimizer can use the most join modes.

Generally it is a good practice to try to use INNER JOIN instead of the different kind of joins. (Of course if it is possible considering the expected result set.)

Use Notepad ++ and use the option to Convert the file to UNIX format. That should solve this problem.

Dart http's implementation process the bytes thanks to that "charset=utf-8", so i'm sure several implementations out there supports this, to avoid the "latin-1" fallback charset when reading the bytes from the response. In my case, I totally lose format on the response body string, so I have to do the bytes encoding manually to utf8, or add that header "inner" parameter on my server's API response.

Actually, for the configuration of the machine, just open the .vmx file with a text editor (e.g. notepad, gedit, etc.). You will be able to see the OS type, memsize, ethernet.connectionType, and other settings. Then when you make your machine, just look in the text editor for the corresponding settings. When it asks for the disk, select the .vmdk disk as mentioned above.

And this is all. The result will contain the elements placed on the following positions (0-based, so first element is at position 0, second at 1 etc.):

1, 3, 5

so the result (actual numbers) will be:

2, 4, 6

Explanation

The [1::2] at the end is just a notation for list slicing. Usually it is in the following form:

some_list[start:stop:step]

If we omitted start, the default (0) would be used. So the first element (at position 0, because the indexes are 0-based) would be selected. In this case the second element will be selected.

Because the second element is omitted, the default is being used (the end of the list). So the list is being iterated from the second element to the end.

We also provided third argument (step) which is 2. Which means that one element will be selected, the next will be skipped, and so on...

So, to sum up, in this case [1::2] means:

1. take the second element (which, by the way, is an odd element, if you judge from the index),
2. skip one element (because we have step=2, so we are skipping one, as a contrary to step=1 which is default),
3. take the next element,
4. Repeat steps 2.-3. until the end of the list is reached,

Extras - replacing counter with enumerate()

In your code, you explicitly create and increase the counter. In Python this is not necessary, as you can enumerate through some iterable using enumerate():

Setting the image using picture.ImageLocation() works fine, but you are using a relative path. Check your path against the location of the .exe after it is built.

For example, if your .exe is located at:

<project folder>/bin/Debug/app.exe

The image would have to be at:

<project folder>/bin/Image/1.jpg

Of course, you could just set the image at design-time (the Image property on the PictureBox property sheet).

If you must set it at run-time, one way to make sure you know the location of the image is to add the image file to your project. For example, add a new folder to your project, name it Image. Right-click the folder, choose "Add existing item" and browse to your image (be sure the file filter is set to show image files). After adding the image, in the property sheet set the Copy to Output Directory to Copy if newer.

At this point the image file will be copied when you build the application and you can use

I had similar problems as people here with Nexus 5 on Windows 7. No .inf file edits were needed, my computer was stuck on an old version of the Google USB drivers (7.0.0.1). Windows 7 refused to install the newer version even if I tried to manually select the directory or .inf file. Android Device monitor is no longer available in android studio.

If you are using android studio 3.0 and above.

1. Go to "Device File Explorer" which is on the bottom right of android studio.
2. If you have more than one device connected, select the device you want from the drop-down list on top.
3. mnt>sdcard is the location for SD card on the emulator.
4. Right click on the folder and click Upload. See the image below.

Note: You can upload folder as well not just individual files.
