You would want to use CSS to achieve that.

In my case, when I changed package name this issue appeared, I just followed below steps to fix my problem:

1. Removed previously installed apk (uninstall)

2. Applied project clean

3. Run the app

One Object Oriented option to replace excessively large switch and if/else constructs is to use a Chain of Responsibility Pattern to model the decision making.

Chain of Responsibility Pattern

The chain of responsibility pattern allows the separation of the source of a request from deciding which of the potentially large number of handlers for the request should action it. The class representing the chain role channels the requests from the source along the list of handlers until a handler accepts the request and actions it.

This is just a quick straw man that I whipped up in a few minutes, a more sophisticated implementation might allow for some kind of Command Pattern to be injected into the Case implementations instances to make it more of a call back IoC style.

Once nice thing about this approach is that Switch/Case statements are all about side affects, this encapsulates the side effects in Classes so they can be managed, and re-used better, it ends up being more like Pattern Matching in a Functional language and that isn't a bad thing.

Global variables are not extern nor static by default on C and C++. When you declare a variable as static, you are restricting it to the current source file. If you declare it as extern, you are saying that the variable exists, but are defined somewhere else, and if you don't have it defined elsewhere (without the extern keyword) you will get a link error (symbol not found).

Your code will break when you have more source files including that header, on link time you will have multiple references to varGlobal. If you declare it as static, then it will work with multiple sources (I mean, it will compile and link), but each source will have its own varGlobal.

What you can do in C++, that you can't in C, is to declare the variable as const on the header, like this:

const int varGlobal = 7;

And include in multiple sources, without breaking things at link time. The idea is to replace the old C style #define for constants.

If you need a global variable visible on multiple sources and not const, declare it as extern on the header, and then define it, this time without the extern keyword, on a source file:

Header included by multiple files:

In one of your source files:

First off, your quoted code is not JSON. Your code is JavaScript object literal notation. JSON is a subset of that designed for easier parsing.

Your code defines an object (data) containing an array (items) of objects (each with an id, name, and type).

Otto made a good suggestion. This works for Debian too, as well as any other Debian derivative. The missing piece is what to do when apt-cache search doesn't find something.

$ sudo apt-get install dh-make-perl build-essential apt-file

Then whenever you have a random module you wish to install:

This will give you a deb package that you can install to get Some::Random::Module. One of the big benefits here is man pages and sample scripts in addition to the module itself will be placed in your distro's location of choice. If the distro ever comes out with an official package for a newer version of Some::Random::Module, it will automatically be installed when you apt-get upgrade.

If you extend the Application class and maintain a static 'global' Context object, as follows, then you can use that instead of the activity to load a String resource.

The Content-Security-Policy meta-tag allows you to reduce the risk of XSS attacks by allowing you to define where resources can be loaded from, preventing browsers from loading data from any other locations. This makes it harder for an attacker to inject malicious code into your site.

I banged my head against a brick wall trying to figure out why I was getting CSP errors one after another, and there didn't seem to be any concise, clear instructions on just how does it work. So here's my attempt at explaining some points of CSP briefly, mostly concentrating on the things I found hard to solve.

For brevity I won’t write the full tag in each sample. Instead I'll only show the content property, so a sample that says content="default-src 'self'" means this:

1. How can I allow multiple sources?

You can simply list your sources after a directive as a space-separated list:

Note that there are no quotes around parameters other than the special ones, like 'self'. Also, there's no colon (:) after the directive. Just the directive, then a space-separated list of parameters.

Everything below the specified parameters is implicitly allowed. That means that in the example above these would be valid sources:

https://example.com/js/file.js
https://example.com/js/subdir/anotherfile.js

These, however, would not be valid:

http://example.com/js/file.js
^^^^ wrong protocol

https://example.com/file.js
                   ^^ above the specified path

2. How can I use different directives? What do they each do?

The most common directives are:

• default-src the default policy for loading javascript, images, CSS, fonts, AJAX requests, etc
• script-src defines valid sources for javascript files
• style-src defines valid sources for css files
• img-src defines valid sources for images
• connect-src defines valid targets for to XMLHttpRequest (AJAX), WebSockets or EventSource. If a connection attempt is made to a host that's not allowed here, the browser will emulate a 400 error

There are others, but these are the ones you're most likely to need.

3. How can I use multiple directives?

You define all your directives inside one meta-tag by terminating them with a semicolon (;):

4. How can I handle ports?

Everything but the default ports needs to be allowed explicitly by adding the port number or an asterisk after the allowed domain:

5. How can I handle different protocols?

By default, only standard protocols are allowed. For example to allow WebSockets ws:// you will have to allow it explicitly:

6. How can I allow the file protocol file://?

If you'll try to define it as such it won’t work. Instead, you'll allow it with the filesystem parameter:

7. How can I use inline scripts and style definitions?

Unless explicitly allowed, you can't use inline style definitions, code inside <script> tags or in tag properties like onclick. You allow them like so:

content="script-src 'unsafe-inline'; style-src 'unsafe-inline'"

You'll also have to explicitly allow inline, base64 encoded images:

content="img-src data:"

8. How can I allow eval()?

I'm sure many people would say that you don't, since 'eval is evil' and the most likely cause for the impending end of the world. Those people would be wrong. Sure, you can definitely punch major holes into your site's security with eval, but it has perfectly valid use cases. You just have to be smart about using it. You allow it like so:

content="script-src 'unsafe-eval'"

9. What exactly does 'self' mean?

You might take 'self' to mean localhost, local filesystem, or anything on the same host. It doesn't mean any of those. It means sources that have the same scheme (protocol), same host, and same port as the file the content policy is defined in. Serving your site over HTTP? No https for you then, unless you define it explicitly.

I've used 'self' in most examples as it usually makes sense to include it, but it's by no means mandatory. Leave it out if you don't need it.

But hang on a minute! Can't I just use content="default-src *" and be done with it?

No. In addition to the obvious security vulnerabilities, this also won’t work as you'd expect. Even though some docs claim it allows anything, that's not true. It doesn't allow inlining or evals, so to really, really make your site extra vulnerable, you would use this:

content="default-src * 'unsafe-inline' 'unsafe-eval'"

... but I trust you won’t.

None of the solutions here worked for me. Even the example on the datatables homepage did not work hence to the initialization of the datatable in the show option.

The problem with iPhone camera is that the first models (of which there are tons in use) have a fixed-focus camera that cannot take picture in-focus for distances under 2ft. The images are blurry and distorted and if taken from greater distance there is not enough detail/information from the barcode.

A few companies have developed iPhone apps that can accomodate for that by using advanced de-blurring technologies. Those applications you can find on Apple app store: pic2shop, RedLaser and ShopSavvy. What you're talking about is becoming a payment service provider. I have been there and done that. It was a lot easier about 10 years ago than it is now, but if you have a phenomenal amount of time, money and patience available, it is still possible.

You will need to contact an acquiring bank. You didnt say what region of the world you are in, but by this I dont mean a local bank branch. Each major bank will generally have a separate card acquiring arm. So here in the UK we have (eg) Natwest bank, which uses Streamline (or Worldpay) as its acquiring arm. In total even though we have scores of major banks, they all end up using one of five or so card acquirers.

Happily, all UK card acquirers use a standard protocol for communication of authorisation requests, and end of day settlement. You will find minor quirks where some acquiring banks support some features and have slightly different syntax, but the differences are fairly minor. The UK standards are published by the Association for Payment Clearing Services (APACS) (which is now known as the UKPA). The standards are still commonly referred to as APACS 30 (authorization) and APACS 29 (settlement), but are now formally known as APACS 70 (books 1 through 7).

Although the APACS standard is widely supported across the UK (Amex and Discover accept messages in this format too) it is not used in other countries - each country has it's own - for example: Carte Bancaire in France, CartaSi in Italy, Sistema 4B in Spain, Dankort in Denmark etc. An effort is under way to unify the protocols across Europe - see EPAS.org

Communicating with the acquiring bank can be done a number of ways. Again though, it will depend on your region. In the UK (and most of Europe) we have one communications gateway that provides connectivity to all the major acquirers, they are called TNS and there are dozens of ways of communicating through them to the acquiring bank, from dialup 9600 baud modems, ISDN, HTTPS, VPN or dedicated line. Ultimately the authorisation request will be converted to X25 protocol, which is the protocol used by these acquiring banks when communicating with each other.

In summary then: it all depends on your region.

• Contact a major bank and try to get through to their card acquiring arm.
• Explain that you're setting up as a payment service provider, and request details on comms format for authorization requests and end of day settlement files
• Set up a test merchant account and develop auth/settlement software and go through the accreditation process. Most acquirers help you through this process for free, but when you want to register as an accredited PSP some will request a fee.
• you will need to comply with some regulations too, for example you may need to register as a payment institution

Once you are registered and accredited you'll then be able to accept customers and set up merchant accounts on behalf of the bank/s you're accredited against (bearing in mind that each acquirer will generally support multiple banks). Rinse and repeat with other acquirers as you see necessary.

Beyond that you have lots of other issues, mainly dealing with PCI-DSS. Thats a whole other topic and there are already some q&a's on this site regarding that. Like I say, its a phenomenal undertaking - most likely a multi-year project even for a reasonably sized team, but its certainly possible.

I'd use a lock file and then set the cron job to run every minute. (use crontab -e and * * * * * /path/to/job) That way you can just keep editing the files and each minute they'll be tested out. Additionally, you can stop the cronjob by just touching the lock file.

Whenever you choose int or bool it matters especially when nullable column comes into play.

Imagine a product with multiple photos. How do you know which photo serves as a product cover? Well, we would use a column that indicates it.

So far out product_image table has two columns: product_id and is_cover

Cool? Not yet. Since the product can have only one cover we need to add a unique index on these two columns.

But wait, if these two column will get an unique index how would you store many non-cover images for the same product? The unique index would throw an error here.

So you may though "Okay, but you can use NULL value since these are ommited by unique index checks", and yes this is truth, but we are loosing linguistic rules here.

What is the purpose of NULL value in boolean type column? Is it "all", "any", or "no"? The null value in boolean column allows us to use the unique index, but it also messes up how we interpret the records.

I would tell that in some cases the integer can serve a better purpose since its not bound to strict true or false meaning

For a file send from server to client, you start off with a file instance and an array of bytes. You need a terminal multiplexer like either tmux or GNU screen

I'm surprised that a small comment by Ryan Amos' to the original question is the only mention of a solution far preferable to all the others on offer, no matter how clever the python trickery may be and how many upvotes they've received. Further to Ryan's comment, tmux is a nice alternative to GNU screen.

But the principle is the same: if you ever find yourself wanting to leave a terminal job running while you log-out, head to the cafe for a sandwich, pop to the bathroom, go home (etc) and then later, reconnect to your terminal session from anywhere or any computer as though you'd never been away, terminal multiplexers are the answer. Think of them as VNC or remote desktop for terminal sessions. Anything else is a workaround. As a bonus, when the boss and/or partner comes in and you inadvertently ctrl-w / cmd-w your terminal window instead of your browser window with its dodgy content, you won't have lost the last 18 hours-worth of processing!

I ran into this on Python 3 and found this question (and solution). When opening a file, Python 3 supports the encoding keyword to automatically handle the encoding.

Without it, the BOM is included in the read result:

Either perform correlation between two series to get a single value:

I think the java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException is what you are looking for.

I've modified Foxidrive's answer to copy entire folders and all their contents. this script will create a folder and backup another folder's contents into it, including any subfolders underneath.

If you put this in say an hourly scheduled task you need to be careful as you could fill up your drive quickly with copies of your original folder. Before bitbucket etc i was using as similar script to save my code offline.

Java is strictly passed by value

When I say pass by value it means whenever caller has invoked the callee the arguments(ie: the data to be passed to the other function) is copied and placed in the formal parameters (callee's local variables for receiving the input). Java makes data communications from one function to other function only in a pass by value environment.

An important point would be to know that even C language is strictly passed by value only:
ie: Data is copied from caller to the callee and more ever the operation performed by the callee are on the same memory location and what we pass them is the address of that location that we obtain from (&) operator and the identifier used in the formal parameters are declared to be a pointer variable (*) using which we can get inside the memory location for accessing the data in it.

Hence here the formal parameter is nothing but mere aliases for that location. And any modifications done on that location is visible where ever that scope of the variable (that identifies that location) is alive.

In Java, there is no concept of pointers (ie: there is nothing called a pointer variable), although we can think of reference variable as a pointer technically in java we call it as a handle. The reason why we call the pointer to an address as a handle in java is because a pointer variable is capable of performing not just single dereferencing but multiple dereferencing for example: int *p; in P means p points to an integer and int **p; in C means p is pointer to a pointer to an integer we dont have this facility in Java, so its absolutely correct and technically legitimate to say it as an handle, also there are rules for pointer arithmetic in C. Which allows performing arithmetic operation on pointers with constraints on it.

In C we call such mechanism of passing address and receiving them with pointer variables as pass by reference since we are passing their addresses and receiving them as pointer variable in formal parameter but at the compiler level that address is copied into pointer variable (since data here is address even then its data ) hence we can be 100% sure that C is Strictly passed by value (as we are passing data only)

(and if we pass the data directly in C we call that as pass by value.)

In java when we do the same we do it with the handles; since they are not called pointer variables like in (as discussed above) even though we are passing the references we cannot say its pass by reference since we are not collecting that with a pointer variable in Java.

Hence Java strictly use pass by value mechanism

I don't think jQuery supports the pseudo-selectors either, but it does provide a quick way to add events to one, many, or all of your similar controls and tags on a single page.

Best of all, you can chain the event binds and do it all in one line of script if you want. Much easier than manually editing all of the HTML to turn them on or off. Then again, since you can do the same in CSS I don't know that it buys you anything (other than learning jQuery).

This question and answer helped me solve a specific problem with signing up new users in Parse.

Because the signUp( attrs, options ) function uses local storage to persist the session, if a user is in private browsing mode it throws the "QuotaExceededError: DOM Exception 22: An attempt was made to add something to storage that exceeded the quota." exception and the success/error functions are never called.

In my case, because the error function is never called it initially appeared to be an issue with firing the click event on the submit or the redirect defined on success of sign up.

Including a warning for users resolved the issue.

I follow one of the advice above and indeed it works. In summary while you download Anaconda on Ubuntu using the advice given above can help you to 'create' environments. The default when you download Spyder in my case is: (base) smith@ubuntu ~$. After you create the environment, i.e. fenics and activate it with $ conda activate fenics the prompt change to (fenics) smith@ubuntu ~$. Then you launch Spyder from this prompt, i.e $ spyder and your system open the Spyder IDE, and you can write fenics code on it. Remember every time you open a terminal your system open the default prompt. You have to activate your environment where your package is and the prompt change to it i.e. (fenics).

If you're using Windows Terminal then the killing process might be little less tedious. I've been using windows terminal and kill PID works fine for me to kill processes on the port as the new Windows Terminal supports certain bash commands. For example: kill 13300

So, the complete process will look like this-

• Open Windows Terminal
• Type the following command to show processes running on the port you're looking to kill processes. netstat -ano | findstr :PORT
• Type following to kill the process. kill PID

See when I typed the first command to list processes on the port it returned empty. That means all processes are killed now.

I stand by Jim McKeeth's comment.

Also, indexing and full table scans are faster if your table has only CHAR columns. Basically the optimizer will be able to predict how big each record is if it only has CHAR columns, while it needs to check the size value of every VARCHAR column.

Besides if you update a VARCHAR column to a size larger than its previous content you may force the database to rebuild its indexes (because you forced the database to physically move the record on disk). While with CHAR columns that'll never happen.

But you probably won't care about the performance hit unless your table is huge.

You need to get the size of the image that you are using in order to add your padding to this size. On the Android internals, they get the drawable you specify on src and use its size afterwards. Since it's a private variable and there are no getters you cannot access to it. Also you cannot get the com.android.internal.R.styleable.CompoundButton and get the drawable from there.

So you need to create your own styleable (i.e. custom_src) or you can add it directly in your implementation of the RadioButton:

Since this answer still gets voted up, I want to point out that you should almost never need to look in the header files. If you want to write reliable code, you're much better served by looking in the standard. A better question than "how is off_t defined on my machine" is "how is off_t defined by the standard?". Following the standard means that your code will work today and tomorrow, on any machine.

In this case, off_t isn't defined by the C standard. It's part of the POSIX standard, which you can browse here.

Unfortunately, off_t isn't very rigorously defined. All I could find to define it is on the page on sys/types.h:

blkcnt_t and off_t shall be signed integer types.

This means that you can't be sure how big it is. If you're using GNU C, you can use the instructions in the answer below to ensure that it's 64 bits. Or better, you can convert to a standards defined size before putting it on the wire. This is how projects like Google's Protocol Buffers work (although that is a C++ project).

So, I think "where do I find the definition in my header files" isn't the best question. But, for completeness here's the answer:

On my machine (and most machines using glibc) you'll find the definition in bits/types.h (as a comment says at the top, never directly include this file), but it's obscured a bit in a bunch of macros. An alternative to trying to unravel them is to look at the preprocessor output:

I actually just thought of an interesting solution. While Windows will not allow you to easily alias programs, you can instead create renamed batch files that will call the current program.

Instead of renaming the executable which will break a lot of thing including pip, create the file python2.bat in the same directory as the python2.exe. Then add the following line:

%~dp0python %*

What does this archaic syntax mean? Well, it's a batch script, (Windows version of bash). %~dp0 gets the current directory and %* will just pass all the arguments to python that were passed to the script.

Repeat for python3.bat

You can also do the same for pip and other utilities, just replace the word python in the file with pip or whathever the filename. The alias will be whatever the file is named.

Best of all, when added to the PATH, Windows ignores the extension so running

python3

Will launch the python3 version and and the command python2 will launch the python2 version.

BTW, this is the same technique Spyder uses to add itself to the path on Windows. :)

As @ThierryTemplier said for receiving data from server and also transmitting model between components (to keep intellisense list and make design time error), it's fine to use interface but I think for sending data to server (DTOs) it's better to use class to take advantages of auto mapping DTO from model.

To sum it up, #pragma tells the compiler to do stuff. Here are a couple of ways I use it:

I managed to load an application.properties file in external path while using -jar option.

The key was PropertiesLauncher.

To use PropertiesLauncher, pom.xml file must be changed like this:

(Perhaps in another document?)

After the jar file had been built, I could see that the PropertiesLauncher is used by inspecting Main-Class property in META-INF/MENIFEST.MF in the jar.

Now, I can run the jar as follows(in Windows):

Note that the application jar file is included in loader.path.

Now an application.properties file in C:\My\External\Dir\config is loaded.

As a bonus, any file (for example, static html file) in that directory can also be accessed by the jar since it's in the loader path.

As for the non-jar (expanded) version mentioned in UPDATE 2, maybe there was a classpath order problem.

I'll explain the main use cases of implicits below, but for more detail see the relevant chapter of Programming in Scala.

Implicit parameters

The final parameter list on a method can be marked implicit, which means the values will be taken from the context in which they are called. If there is no implicit value of the right type in scope, it will not compile. Since the implicit value must resolve to a single value and to avoid clashes, it's a good idea to make the type specific to its purpose, e.g. don't require your methods to find an implicit Int!

Implicit conversions

When the compiler finds an expression of the wrong type for the context, it will look for an implicit Function value of a type that will allow it to typecheck. So if an A is required and it finds a B, it will look for an implicit value of type B => A in scope (it also checks some other places like in the B and A companion objects, if they exist). Since defs can be "eta-expanded" into Function objects, an implicit def xyz(arg: B): A will do as well.

So the difference between your methods is that the one marked implicit will be inserted for you by the compiler when a Double is found but an Int is required.

In the second we've inserted the conversion manually; in the first the compiler did the same automatically. The conversion is required because of the type annotation on the left hand side.

Regarding your first snippet from Play:

Actions are explained on this page from the Play documentation (see also API docs). You are using

apply(block: (Request[AnyContent]) ? Result): Action[AnyContent]

on the Action object (which is the companion to the trait of the same name).

So we need to supply a Function as the argument, which can be written as a literal in the form

request => ...

In a function literal, the part before the => is a value declaration, and can be marked implicit if you want, just like in any other val declaration. Here, request doesn't have to be marked implicit for this to type check, but by doing so it will be available as an implicit value for any methods that might need it within the function (and of course, it can be used explicitly as well). In this particular case, this has been done because the bindFromRequest method on the Form class requires an implicit Request argument.

This started out as an attempt to cast video from my pc to a tv (with subtitles) eventually using Chromecast. And I ended up in this "does not play mp4" situation. However I seemed to have proved that Chrome will play (exactly the same) mp4 as long as it isn't wrapped in html(5) So here is what I have constructed. I have made a webpage under localhost and in there is a default.htm which contains:-

I have the very latest version of Chrome (just updated this morning)

When I type the appropriate localhost... into my Chrome browser a black square appears with a "GO" arrow and an elapsed time bar, a mute button and an icon which says "CC". If I hit the go arrow, nothing happens (it doesn't change to "pause", the elapsed time doesn't move, and the timer sticks at 0:00. There are no error messages - nothing!

(note that if I input localhost.. to IE11 the video plays!!!!

In Chrome if I enter the disc address of sample.mp4 (i.e. C:\webstore\sample.mp4 then Chrome will play the video fine?.

This last bit is probably a working solution for Chromecast except that I cannot see any subtitles. I really want a solution with working subtitles. I just don't understand what is different in Chrome between the two methods of playing mp4

Currently there is a far simpler solution than the ones already provided. When running your application you just have to pass along the threaded=True parameter to the app.run() call, like:

app.run(host="your.host", port=4321, threaded=True)

Another option as per what we can see in the werkzeug docs, is to use the processes parameter, which receives a number > 1 indicating the maximum number of concurrent processes to handle:

• threaded – should the process handle each request in a separate thread?
• processes – if greater than 1 then handle each request in a new process up to this maximum number of concurrent processes.

Something like:

Note: on the Flask docs on the run() methods it's indicated that using it in a Production Environment is discouraged because (quote): "While lightweight and easy to use, Flask’s built-in server is not suitable for production as it doesn’t scale well."

I am writing most of my applications in container environments, I know which shell is being invoked and i am not taking any user input.

So in my use case, I see no security risk. And it is much easier creating long string of commands. Hope I am not wrong.

I had an issue uploading images to my React JS project. I was trying to use the file-loader to load the images; I was also using Babel-loader in my react.

I used the following settings in the webpack:

{test: /\.(jpe?g|png|gif|svg)$/i, loader: "file-loader?name=app/images/[name].[ext]"},

This helped load my images, but the images loaded were kind of corrupted. Then after some research I came to know that file-loader has a bug of corrupting the images when babel-loader is installed.

Hence, to work around the issue I tried to use URL-loader which worked perfectly for me.

I updated my webpack with the following settings

I then used the following command to import the images

The observable collection works just the same way. If you add or remove something to or from it: someone is notified. And when they are notified, well then they call you and you'll get a ear-full. Of course the consequences are customisable via the event handler.

I am guessing that you have SSL chain issues. A short description of the problem is that there's actually a list of certificates on your server (and not only one) and these need to be in the correct order. Summary: It's implementation dependent, as there is no specified limit in the RFC. It'd be safe to use up to 2000 characters (IE's limit.) If you are anywhere near this length, you should make sure you really need URIs that long, maybe an alternative design could get around that.

URIs should be readable, even when used to send data.

It doesn't work in generality. Not all valid dict keys make addressable attributes ("the key"). So, you'll need to be careful.

Overloading is defining functions that have similar signatures, yet have different parameters. Overriding is only pertinent to derived classes, where the parent class has defined a method and the derived class wishes to override that method.

In PHP, you can only overload methods using the magic method __call.

_ZL1b: _Z means this is a mangled identifier. L means it is a local symbol through static. 1 is the length of the identifier b and then the identifier b

_ZN12_GLOBAL__N_11aE _Z means this is a mangled identifier. N means this is a namespace 12 is the length of the anonymous namespace name _GLOBAL__N_1, then the anonymous namespace name _GLOBAL__N_1, then 1 is the length of the identifier a, a is the identifier a and E closes the identifier that resides in a namespace.

_ZN12_GLOBAL__N_11A1aE is the same as above except there's another namespace level in it 1A

The problem is in the import line. You are importing a module, not a class. Assuming your file is named other_file.py (unlike java, again, there is no such rule as "one class, one file"):

if your file is named findTheRange too, following java's convenions, then you should write

a) @Daniel Roseman is right. You do not need classes here at all. Python encourages procedural programming (when it fits, of course)

b) You can build the list directly:

For standard HTTP header fields such as User-Agent, Cookie, Host, there is actually another way to setting them. The curl command offers designated options for setting these header fields:

• -A (or --user-agent): set "User-Agent" field.
• -b (or --cookie): set "Cookie" field.
• -e (or --referer): set "Referer" field.
• -H (or --header): set "Header" field

For example, the following two commands are equivalent. Both of them change "User-Agent" string in the HTTP header.

Runnable is an interface defined as so:

It can be used without even making a new Thread. It's basically your basic interface with a single method, run, that can be called.

If you make a new Thread with runnable as it's parameter, it will call the run method in a new Thread.

It should also be noted that Threads implement Runnable, and that is called when the new Thread is made (in the new thread). The default implementation just calls whatever Runnable you handed in the constructor, which is why you can just do new Thread(someRunnable) without overriding Thread's run method.

You can't do this cross-browser with the confirm() function or similar. I highly suggest you use something like the jQuery UI dialog feature to create an HTML dialog box instead.

I use the version of NCover that comes with TestDriven.NET. It will allow you to easily right-click on your unit test class library, and hit Test With→Coverage, and it will pull up the report.

One line of code to remove all extra spaces before, after, and within a sentence:

I like the pretty form of testing indexOf with an array, but be aware, this doesn't work in all browsers (because Array.prototype.indexOf is not present in old IExplorers).

However, there is a similar way by using jQuery with the $.inArray() function :

is mandatory if the SMTP server uses SSL Authentication, like the GMail SMTP server does. However if the server uses Plaintext Authentication over TLS, it should not be present, because Java Mail will complain about the initial connection being plaintext.

Also make sure you are using the latest version of Java Mail. Recently I used some old Java Mail jars from a previous project and could not make the code work, because the login process was failing. After I have upgraded to the latest version of Java Mail, the reason of the error became clear: it was a javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException, which was not thrown up in the old version of the lib.

The problem with your code is in the line:

You need to ask yourself: what is length(namevector)? It's one number. So essentially you're saying:

In my case, the error occurred as the application was unable to access the keystore for ssl.

Starting the application as root user fixed the issue.

Deleting or corrupting the pom.xml file can cause this error.

list() and [] work differently:

list() always create new object in heap, but [] can reuse memory cell in many reason.

Well I always use the same easy way and it works for me. In your HTML keep the type as text (like this):

I have been seeing the exact same error today, but it was not a config or direct JavaScript issue.

An external .net project had been updated but the changes not picked up properly in the compilation of the web site. My presumption is that ASP.NET ajax was not able to construct the client representations of the .NET objects properly and so was failing to load correctly.

To resolve, I rebuilt the external project(s), and rebuilt my solution that was experiencing issues. The problem went away.

You are assigning an onclick event inside an function. That means once the function has executed once, the second onclick event is assigned to the element as well.

Either assign the function onclick or use jquery click().

There's no need to have both

& is used for bit-wise comparison. use and instead. and btw, you don't need semicolon at the end of print statement.
