The correct content-type for JSON data is application/json. I assume that is what you are missing.

Collections are a resource so /appointments is fine as the resource.

Collections also typically offer filters via the querystring which is essentially what users=id1,id2... is.

Another alternative is the following, although not the cleanest as it assumes the image to be the only element in a container, such as in this case:

Noting klaisbyskov's comment about your key length needing to be gigabytes in size, and assuming that you do in fact need this, then I think your only options are:

1. use a hash of the key value
   • Create a column on nchar(40) (for a sha1 hash, for example),
   • put a unique key on the hash column.
   • generate the hash when saving or updating the record
2. triggers to query the table for an existing match on insert or update.

Hashing comes with the caveat that one day, you might get a collision.

Triggers will scan the entire table.

As Kinlan mentioned, ALLOW-FROM is not supported in all browsers as an X-Frame-Options value.

The solution was to branch based on browser type. For IE, ship X-Frame-Options. For everyone else, ship X-Content-Security-Policy.

No application written in 2017 (or thereafter) that intends to incorporate serious cryptography should use RSA any more. There are better options for PHP public-key cryptography.

There are two big mistakes that people make when they decide to encrypt with RSA:

1. Developers choose the wrong padding mode.
2. Since RSA cannot, by itself, encrypt very long strings, developers will often break a string into small chunks and encrypt each chunk independently. Sort of like ECB mode.

The Best Alternative: sodium_crypto_box_seal() (libsodium)

Begrudgingly: Using RSA Properly

The only reason to use RSA in 2017 is, "I'm forbidden to install PECL extensions and therefore cannot use libsodium, and for some reason cannot use paragonie/sodium_compat either."

Your protocol should look something like this:

1. Generate a random AES key.
2. Encrypt your plaintext message with the AES key, using an AEAD encryption mode or, failing that, CBC then HMAC-SHA256.
3. Encrypt your AES key (step 1) with your RSA public key, using RSAES-OAEP + MGF1-SHA256
4. Concatenate your RSA-encrypted AES key (step 3) and AES-encrypted message (step 2).

It comes from +[UIWindow _synchronizeDrawingAcrossProcessesOverPort:withPreCommitHandler:] via os_log API. It doesn't depend from another components/frameworks that you are using(only from UIKit) - it reproduces in clean single view application project on changing interface orientation.

This is really just a syntax switch. OK, so we have this method call:

I felt most of the examples here demonstrated the power of module rather than how ActiveSupport::Concern adds value to module.

It's not difficult as we thing. Just create a frame for UIButton with clear background color, assign action for the button and place over the navigationbar back button. And finally remove the button after use.

Another possible solution is that the project name is not acceptable. For example, creating a project with spaces in the name does not block the project creation but the proper sources are not marked and when those are marked manually, I still was unable to create classes. Recreating the project with hyphens (-) instead of spaces corrected the problem for me.

Postgres has a very rich system catalog exposed via SQL tables. PG's statistics collector is a subsystem that supports collection and reporting of information about server activity.

Now to figure out the blocking PIDs you can simply query pg_stat_activity.

An iterator is just an object which has a pointer to the next object to be read by some kind of buffer or stream, it's like a LinkedList where you don't know how many things you have until you iterate through them. Iterators are meant to be efficient because all they do is tell you what is next by references instead of using indexing (but as you saw you lose the ability to see how many entries are next).

My goal was to pass a query string similar to:

 protodb?sql=select * from protodb.prototab

to a Node.js 12 Lambda function via a URL from the API gateway. I tried a number of the ideas from the other answers but really wanted to do something in the most API gateway UI native way possible, so I came up with this that worked for me (as of the UI for API Gateway as of December 2020):

On the API Gateway console for a given API, under resources, select the get method. Then select its Integration Request and fill out the data for the lambda function at the top of the page.

Scroll to the bottom and open up the mapping templates section. Choose Request Body Passthrough when there are no templates defined (recommended).

Click on Add mapping templates and create one with the content-type of application/json and hit the check mark button.

For that mapping template, choose the Method Request passthrough on the drop down list for generate template which will fill the textbox under it with AWS' general way to pass everything.

Hit the save button.

Now when I tested it, I could not get the parameter to come through as event.sql under node JS in the Lambda function. It turns out that when the API gateway sends the URL sql query parameter to the Lambda function, it comes through for Node.js as:

 var insql = event.params.querystring.sql;

So the trick that took some time for me was to use JSON.stringify to show the full event stack and then work my way down through the sections to be able to pull out the sql parameter from the query string.

So basically you can use the default passthrough functionality in the API gateway with the trick being how the parameters are passed when you are in the Lambda function.

Changing the value property does not change the defaultValue. In the code (retrieved with .html() or innerHTML) the value attribute will contain the defaultValue, not the value property.

I think you are getting confused with your site Authentication and SSL.

If you need to get your site into SSL, then you would need to install a SSL certificate into your web server. You can buy a certificate for yourself from one of the places like Symantec etc. The certificate would contain your public/private key pair, along with other things.

You wont need to do anything in your source code, and you can still continue to use your Form Authntication (or any other) in your site. Its just that, any data communication that takes place between the web server and the client will encrypted and signed using your certificate. People would use secure-HTTP (https://) to access your site.

MS SQL Server has supported ANSI SQL FETCH FIRST for many years now:

The answers provided (at the time of this post) are link only answers so I thought I would summarize the links into an answer and what I will be using.

When working to create Cross Browser Favicons (including touch icons) there are several things to consider.

The first (of course) is Internet Explorer. IE does not support PNG favicons until version 11. So our first line is a conditional comment for favicons in IE 9 and below:

To cover the uses of the icon create it at 32x32 pixels. Notice the rel="shortcut icon" for IE to recognize the icon it needs the word shortcut which is not standard. Also we wrap the .ico favicon in a IE conditional comment because Chrome and Safari will use the .ico file if it is present, despite other options available, not what we would like.

The above covers IE up to IE 9. IE 11 accepts PNG favicons, however, IE 10 does not. Also IE 10 does not read conditional comments thus IE 10 won't show a favicon. With IE 11 and Edge available I don't see IE 10 in widespread use, so I ignore this browser.

For the rest of the browsers we are going to use the standard way to cite a favicon:

This icon should be 196x196 pixels in size to cover all devices that may use this icon.

To cover touch icons on mobile devices we are going to use Apple's proprietary way to cite a touch icon:

Using rel="apple-touch-icon-precomposed" will not apply the reflective shine when bookmarked on iOS. To have iOS apply the shine use rel="apple-touch-icon". As a note: Chrome for Android states:

Custom Tiles for IE 11+ on Windows 8.1+

IE 11+ on Windows 8.1+ does offer a way to create pinned tiles for your site.

Microsoft recommends creating a few tiles at the following size:

Small: 128 x 128

Medium: 270 x 270

Wide: 558 x 270

Large: 558 x 558

These should be transparent images as we will define a color background next.

Once these images are created you should create an xml file called browserconfig.xml with the following code:

Windows Phone Live Tiles

If a user is using a Windows Phone they can pin a website to the start screen of their phone. Unfortunately, when they do this it displays a screenshot of your phone, not a favicon (not even the MS specific code referenced above). To make a "Live Tile" for Windows Phone Users for your website one must use the following code:

Create a square image for your website, to support hi-res screens create it at 768x768 pixels in size.

Note on Sizes

I am using one size as every browser will scale down the image as necessary. I could add more HTML to specify multiple sizes if desired for those with a lower bandwidth but I am already compressing the PNG files heavily using TinyPNG and I find this unnecessary for my purposes. Also, according to philippe_b's answer Chrome and Firefox have bugs that cause the browser to load all sizes of icons. Using one large icon may be better than multiple smaller ones because of this.

But after some time of using it I found out it's actually quite limited and I stopped using it because it does not support a lot of properties i need out off the box, so one have to check out and decide as always.

Other people have suggested using in.nextLine() to clear the buffer, which works for single-line input. As comments point out, however, sometimes System.in input can be multi-line.

You can instead create a new Scanner object where you want to clear the buffer if you are using System.in and not some other InputStream.

in = new Scanner(System.in);

If you do this, don't call in.close() first. Doing so will close System.in, and so you will get NoSuchElementExceptions on subsequent calls to in.nextInt(); System.in probably shouldn't be closed during your program.

(The above approach is specific to System.in. It might not be appropriate for other input streams.)

If you really need to close your Scanner object before creating a new one, this StackOverflow answer suggests creating an InputStream wrapper for System.in that has its own close() method that doesn't close the wrapped System.in stream. This is overkill for simple programs, though.

In Vagrant you can completely do away with any Chef solo provisioning and all you need your vagrant file to do is prepare a machine that runs a single small shell script that installs docker. This means that my Vagrantfiles for every project are almost identical and very simple.

A non-docker Chef solo configuration would be considerably more complicated.

A final big plus is gained when you are moving into production, translating the development environment over to an infrastructure of hosts that are all the same in that they just have enough config to run docker means very little work indeed.

In Android file system, applications come in packages with the extension .apk. These application packages, or APKs contain certain .odex files whose supposed function is to save space. These ‘odex’ files are actually collections of parts of an application that are optimized before booting. Doing so speeds up the boot process, as it preloads part of an application. On the other hand, it also makes hacking those applications difficult because a part of the coding has already been extracted to another location before execution.

The signature of main is:

int main(int argc, char **argv);

argc refers to the number of command line arguments passed in, which includes the actual name of the program, as invoked by the user. argv contains the actual arguments, starting with index 1. Index 0 is the program name.

So, if you ran your program like this:

./program hello world

Then:

• argc would be 3.
• argv[0] would be "./program".
• argv[1] would be "hello".
• argv[2] would be "world".

SQL databases are like automatic transmission and NoSQL databases are like manual transmission. Once you switch to NoSQL, you become responsible for a lot of work that the system takes care of automatically in a relational database system. Similar to what happens when you pick manual over automatic transmission. Secondly, NoSQL allows you to eke more performance out of the system by eliminating a lot of integrity checks done by relational databases from the database tier. Again, this is similar to how you can get more performance out of your car by driving a manual transmission versus an automatic transmission vehicle.

However the most notable similarity is that just like most of us can’t really take advantage of the benefits of a manual transmission vehicle because the majority of our driving is sitting in traffic on the way to and from work, there is a similar harsh reality in that most sites aren’t at Google or Facebook’s scale and thus have no need for a Bigtable or Cassandra.

To which I can add only that switching from MySQL, where you have at least some experience, to CouchDB, where you have no experience, means you will have to deal with a whole new set of problems and learn different concepts and best practices. While by itself this is wonderful (I am playing at home with MongoDB and like it a lot), it will be a cost that you need to calculate when estimating the work for that project, and brings unknown risks while promising unknown benefits. It will be very hard to judge if you can do the project on time and with the quality you want/need to be successful, if it's based on a technology you don't know.

Now, if you have on the team an expert in the NoSQL field, then by all means take a good look at it. But without any expertise on the team, don't jump on NoSQL for a new commercial project.

I figured out myself.

cmp calls ComputeBetasAndNuHat which returns a list which has objective as minusloglik

So I can change the function cmp to get this value.

I thought that a solution like Boost.Fusion one for adapting structs and classes would be nice, they even had it at some point, to use enums as a fusion sequence.

So I made just some small macros to generate the code to print the enums. This is not perfect and has nothing to see with Boost.Fusion generated boilerplate code, but can be used like the Boost Fusion macros. I want to really do generate the types needed by Boost.Fusion to integrate in this infrastructure which allows to print names of struct members, but this will happen later, for now this is just macros :

I've been searching a way which solves this problem without changing too much the enums declaration syntax. I came to a solution which uses the preprocessor to retrieve a string from a stringified enum declaration.

I'm able to define non-sparse enums like this :

When I'll need support for sparse enum and when I'll have more time I'll improve the to_string and from_string implementations with boost::xpressive, but this will costs in compilation time because of the important templating performed and the executable generated is likely to be really bigger. But this has the advantage that it will be more readable and maintanable than this ugly manual string manipulation code. :D

Otherwise I always used boost::bimap to perform such mappings between enums value and string, but it has to be maintained manually.

I had the same problem. I had been posting a complex JSON response, and I couldn't read my data using the request.POST dictionary.

Some great solutions have already been posted. When I encountered this problem, I wanted to go both ways: convert an enum into a description, and convert a string matching a description into an enum.

I have two variants, slow and fast. Both convert from enum to string and string to enum. My problem is that I have enums like this, where some elements need attributes and some don't. I don't want to put attributes on elements that don't need them. I have about a hundred of these total currently:

The problem with this is that you're doing reflection every time. I haven't measured the performance hit from doing so, but it seems alarming. Worse we are computing these expensive conversions repeatedly, without caching them.

Instead we can use a static constructor to populate some dictionaries with this conversion information, then just look up this information when needed. Apparently static classes (required for extension methods) can have constructors and fields :)

Look how tight the conversion methods are now. The only flaw I can think of is that this requires all the converted enums to be in the current assembly. Also, I only bother with exported enums, but you could change that if you wish.

This solved the issue for me:

Uninstall the Visual Studio 2010 redistributable package if you have it installed already, and then install Microsoft Windows 7 SDK.

The best way to do this is strictly separate your table into two different tables - header and body:

Well it simply means loading data you need currently instead of loading whole bunch of data at once which you won't use now. Thereby making application load time faster than usual.

I updated my package and even reinstalled it - but I was still getting the exact same error as the OP mentioned. I manually edited the referenced dll by doing the following.

I removed the newtonsoft.json.dll from my reference, then manually deleted the .dll from the bin directoy. Then i manually copied the newtonsoft.json.dll from the nuget package folder into the project bin, then added the reference by browsing to the .dll file.

Now my project builds again.

Just use:

Don't get the request stream, quite simply. GET requests don't usually have bodies (even though it's not technically prohibited by HTTP) and WebRequest doesn't support it - but that's what calling GetRequestStream is for, providing body data for the request.

Efran Cobisi's suggestion of using an Auto Mapper is a good one. I have used Auto Mapper for a while and it worked well, until I found the much faster alternative, Mapster.

I don't know whether you got the answer. I met this issue today, and I thought I got a possible right answer: you don't put the script file in a right location.

Most people don't meet this issue because they put the scripts into their server directory directly. I meet this because I make a link of the source file (the html file) to the server root directory. I didn't link the script files, and I don't know how nginx find them. But they are not loaded correctly.

After I linked all files to the server root directory, problem solved.

Sometimes you get similar sounding errors but for reasons that're really not related to the tools - in this case Surefire plugin.

For me I was getting a similar error but the reason was i wasn't pointing to the correct DB url !

Among a lot of verbosity (using mvn -X flag) I saw a timeout message.

You are trying to use the wrong interface type. The type Function is not appropriate in this case because it receives a parameter and has a return value. Instead you should use Consumer (formerly known as Block)

The Function type is declared as

The println method is appropriate because it receives a value and has a return type void, just like the accept method in Consumer.

So, in your code, you need to change your method signature to somewhat like:

About Functions as First Class Citizens

All been said, the truth is that Java 8 will not have functions as first-class citizens since a structural function type will not be added to the language. Java will simply offer an alternative way to create implementations of functional interfaces out of lambda expressions and method references. Ultimately lambda expressions and method references will be bound to object references, therefore all we have is objects as first-class citizens. The important thing is the functionality is there since we can pass objects as parameters, bound them to variable references and return them as values from other methods, then they pretty much serve a similar purpose.

If you are creating the URL from the server side of an ASP.NET application, and deploying your website to a virtual directory (e.g. app2) in your website i.e. http://www.yourwebsite.com/app2/

then just insert

<base href="~/" />

just after the title tag.

so whenever you use root relative e.g.

<a href="/Accounts/Login"/> 

would resolve to "http://www.yourwebsite.com/app2/Accounts/Login"

This way you can always point to your files relatively-absolutely ;)

To me this is the most flexible solution.

You can not directly send an email with a HTML form. You can however send the form to your web server and then generate the email with a server side program written in e.g. PHP.

The other solution is to create a link as you did with the "mailto:". This will open the local email program from the user. And he/she can then send the pre-populated email.

Throwing in another answer: Try checking your PYTHONPATH.

First, try to install wheel again:

This should tell you where wheel is installed, eg:

Okay, so I figured out what the problem was, and the approach I believe works best. In my case, because the two objects weren't identical from a Javascript perspective, as in: they may have shared the same values, but they were different actual objects, e.g. originalObject was instantiated entirely separately from objects which was essentially an array of reference data (to populate the dropdown).

I found that the approach that worked best for me was to compare a unique property of the objects, rather than directly compare the two entire objects. This comparison is done in the bound property selected:

The error TypeError: 'numpy.ndarray' object is not callable means that you tried to call a numpy array as a function. We can reproduce the error like so in the repl:

If we are to assume that the error is indeed coming from the snippet of code that you posted (something that you should check,) then you must have reassigned either pd.rolling_mean or pd.rolling_std to a numpy array earlier in your code.

What I mean is something like this:

Just be aware of TempData persistence, it's a bit tricky. For example if you even simply read TempData inside the current request, it would be removed and consequently you don't have it for the next request. Instead, you can use Peek method. I would recommend reading this cool article:

Well, there are many different ways to get a file in Java, but that's the general gist.

Don't forget that you'll need to wrap that up inside a try {} catch (Exception e){} at the very least, because File is part of java.io which means it must have try-catch block.

Not to step on Ericson's question, but if you are using actual packages, you'll have issues with locations of files, unless you explicitly use it's location. Relative pathing gets messed up with Packages.

ie,

src/
    main.java
    x.txt

In this example, using File f = new File("x.txt"); inside of main.java will throw a file-not-found exception.

However, using File f = new File("src/x.txt"); will work.

How to measure similarity between two images entirely depends on what you would like to measure, for example: contrast, brightness, modality, noise... and then choose the best suitable similarity measure there is for you. You can choose from MAD (mean absolute difference), MSD (mean squared difference) which are good for measuring brightness...there is also available CR (correlation coefficient) which is good in representing correlation between two images. You could also choose from histogram based similarity measures like SDH (standard deviation of difference image histogram) or multimodality similarity measures like MI (mutual information) or NMI (normalized mutual information).

Because this similarity measures cost much in time, it is advised to scale images down before applying these measures on them.

First of all, let's differentiate between GET and POST

Get: It is the default HTTP request that is made to the server and is used to retrieve the data from the server and query string that comes after ? in a URI is used to retrieve a unique resource.

here data=value is the query string value passed.

POST: It is used to send data to the server safely so anything that is needed, this is the format of a POST request

Why POST over GET?

In GET the value being sent to the servers are usually appended to the base URL in the query string,now there are 2 consequences of this

• The GET requests are saved in browser history with the parameters. So your passwords remain un-encrypted in browser history. This was a real issue for Facebook back in the days.
• Usually servers have a limit on how long a URI can be. If have too many parameters being sent you might receive 414 Error - URI too long

In case of post request your data from the fields are added to the body instead. Length of request params is calculated, and added to the header for content-length and no important data is directly appended to the URL.

You can use the Google Developer Tools' network section to see basic information about how requests are made to the servers.

and you can always add more values in your Request Headers like Cache-Control , Origin , Accept.

When you work with unsigned types, modular arithmetic (also known as "wrap around" behavior) is taking place. To understand this modular arithmetic, just have a look at these clocks:

9 + 4 = 1 (13 mod 12), so to the other direction it is: 1 - 4 = 9 (-3 mod 12). The same principle is applied while working with unsigned types. If the result type is unsigned, then modular arithmetic takes place.

I encountered this error with an Azure DevOps Services (MS-hosted) build pipeline on a TFVC repo.

In my case, I was working within a branch and had accidentally added the reference from the package folder in trunk instead of from the branch. Once I added the reference from within the branch, it started compiling successfully.

I.e., while working on \branch-beta\sierra.csproj, I accidentally referenced \trunk\packages\delta.dll. Obviously, I needed to reference \branch-beta\packages\delta.dll instead. The mixup occurred because the path is not prominently displayed in the Add Reference window and I didn’t check carefully enough.

QRGen is a good library that creates a layer on top of ZXing and makes QR Code generation in Java a piece of cake.

Assuming you're wanting to undo the effects of git rm <file> or rm <file> followed by git add -A or something similar:

# this restores the file status in the index
git reset -- <file>
# then check out a copy from the index
git checkout -- <file>

To undo git add <file>, the first line above suffices, assuming you haven't committed yet.

Building on @SotiriosDelimanolis's comment, here is a method to deal with URLs (such as file:...) and non-URLs (such as C:...), using Spring's FileSystemResource:

If it's a query you run often, you can store it in a file. Then any time you want to run it:

Well I was looking for solution for this for a while, without any scripts just from CLI. This is how I do it xD:

• Navigate to folder from which you want to run script (important thing is that you have tab completions)

  ..\..\dir

• Now surround location with double quotes, and inside them add cd, so we could invoke another instance of powershell.

  "cd ..\..\dir"

• Add another command to run script separated by ;, with is a command separator in powershell

  "cd ..\..\dir\; script.ps1"

• Finally Run it with another instance of powershell

  start powershell "cd..\..\dir\; script.ps1"

This will open new powershell window, go to ..\..\dir, run script.ps1 and close window.

Note that ";" just separates commands, like you typed them one by one, if first fails second will run and next after, and next after... If you wanna keep new powershell window open you add -noexit in passed command . Note that I first navigate to desired folder so I could use tab completions (you couldn't in double quotes).

start powershell "-noexit cd..\..\dir\; script.ps1"

Use double quotes "" so you could pass directories with spaces in names e.g.,

start powershell "-noexit cd '..\..\my dir'; script.ps1"
