I don't see where the problem with not finding timeSeries comes from however. Maybe you just forgot the getroot() call? It is just called the eyedropper tool. There is no shortcut key for it that I'm aware of. The only way you can use it now is by clicking on the color picker box in styles sidebar and then clicking on the page as you have already been doing.

.bash_profile is executed when you login. Stuff you put in there might be your PATH and other important environment variables.

.bashrc is used for non login shells. I'm not sure what that means. I know that RedHat executes it everytime you start another shell (su to this user or simply calling bash again) You might want to put aliases in there but again I am not sure what that means. I simply ignore it myself.

.profile is the equivalent of .bash_profile for the root. I think the name is changed to let other shells (csh, sh, tcsh) use it as well. (you don't need one as a user)

There is also .bash_logout wich executes at, yeah good guess...logout. You might want to stop deamons or even make a little housekeeping . You can also add "clear" there if you want to clear the screen when you log out.

These are probably even distro.-dependant, not all distros choose to have each configuraton with them and some have even more. But when they have the same name, they usualy include the same content.

Non-const and const reference binding follow different rules

These are the rules of the C++ language:

• an expression consisting of a literal number (12) is a "rvalue"

The listed return type of the method is Task<string>. You're trying to return a string. They are not the same, nor is there an implicit conversion from string to Task<string>, hence the error.

You're likely confusing this with an async method in which the return value is automatically wrapped in a Task by the compiler. Currently that method is not an async method. You almost certainly meant to do this:

This enables you to get the sequence back in sync with the table, without dropping/recreating/re-granting the sequence. It also uses no DDL, so no implicit commits are performed. Of course, you're going to have to hunt down and slap the folks who insist on not using the sequence to populate the column...

Motti is right about the order, but there are some other things to consider:

Compilers typically use a hidden flag variable to indicate if the local statics have already been initialized, and this flag is checked on every entry to the function. Obviously this is a small performance hit, but what's more of a concern is that this flag is not guaranteed to be thread-safe.

If you have a local static as above, and foo is called from multiple threads, you may have race conditions causing plonk to be initialized incorrectly or even multiple times. Also, in this case plonk may get destructed by a different thread than the one which constructed it.

Despite what the standard says, I'd be very wary of the actual order of local static destruction, because it's possible that you may unwittingly rely on a static being still valid after it's been destructed, and this is really difficult to track down.

First, what you are looking for is a column or bar diagram, not really a histogram. A histogram is made from a frequency distribution of a continuous variable that is separated into bins. Here you have a column against separate labels.

To make a bar diagram with matplotlib, use the matplotlib.pyplot.bar() method. Have a look at this page of the matplotlib documentation that explains very well with examples and source code how to do it.

CONVERT takes the column name, not a string containing the column name; your current expression tries to convert the string A.my_NvarcharColumn to an integer instead of the column content.

SELECT convert (int, N'A.my_NvarcharColumn') FROM A;

should instead be

SELECT convert (int, A.my_NvarcharColumn) FROM A;

As the plural in getElementsByName() implies, does it always return list of elements that have this name. So when you have an input element with that name:

And it is the first one with that name, you have to use document.getElementsByName('Tue')[0] to get the first element of the list of elements with this name.

Beside that are properties case sensitive and the correct spelling of the value property is .value.

The main reason is that classic C casts make no distinction between what we call static_cast<>(), reinterpret_cast<>(), const_cast<>(), and dynamic_cast<>(). These four things are completely different.

A static_cast<>() is usually safe. There is a valid conversion in the language, or an appropriate constructor that makes it possible. The only time it's a bit risky is when you cast down to an inherited class; you must make sure that the object is actually the descendant that you claim it is, by means external to the language (like a flag in the object). A dynamic_cast<>() is safe as long as the result is checked (pointer) or a possible exception is taken into account (reference).

A reinterpret_cast<>() (or a const_cast<>()) on the other hand is always dangerous. You tell the compiler: "trust me: I know this doesn't look like a foo (this looks as if it isn't mutable), but it is".

The first problem is that it's almost impossible to tell which one will occur in a C-style cast without looking at large and disperse pieces of code and knowing all the rules.

Let's assume these:

class CMyOtherStuff {...} ;

CMyBase  *pSomething; // filled somewhere

Now, these two are compiled the same way:

As you can see, there is no easy way to distinguish between the two situations without knowing a lot about all the classes involved.

The second problem is that the C-style casts are too hard to locate. In complex expressions it can be very hard to see C-style casts. It is virtually impossible to write an automated tool that needs to locate C-style casts (for example a search tool) without a full blown C++ compiler front-end. On the other hand, it's easy to search for "static_cast<" or "reinterpret_cast<".

That means that, not only are C-style casts more dangerous, but it's a lot harder to find them all to make sure that they are correct.

• You cannot mix plain and dynamic SQL the way you tried to do it. The whole statement is either all dynamic or all plain SQL. So I am building one dynamic statement to make this work. You may be interested in the chapter about executing dynamic commands in the manual.

• The aggregate function count() returns bigint, but you had rowcount defined as integer, so you need an explicit cast ::int to make this work

• I use dollar quoting to avoid quoting hell.

However, is this supposed to be a honeypot for SQL injection attacks or are you seriously going to use it? For your very private and secure use, it might be ok-ish - though I wouldn't even trust myself with a function like that. If there is any possible access for untrusted users, such a function is a loaded footgun. It's impossible to make this secure.

Craig (a sworn enemy of SQL injection!) might get a light stroke, when he sees what you forged from his piece of code in the answer to your preceding question. :)

2. Select the column you want to make not sortable on the left side pane.

I had this problem and I made a tool to export an HTML table to CSV file. The problem I had with FileSaver.js is that this tool grabs the table with html format, this is why some people can't open the file in excel or google. This question keeps coming up and I did not find a satisfying result yet, so here is what worked for me (based on a previous answer https://stackoverflow.com/a/52706362/1806760, which is not working):

My server is https://gitlab.dev with a self-signed certificate.

The solution is to delete the 3.x module and handler from IIS manager. You could delete them at the application or site level if you want to keep them in applicationHost.config. But I wanted to delete them from applicationHost.config. do the following steps:

I needed to delete an Angular 6 directive whose spec file was erroneous. Even after deleting the offending files, removing all references to it and rebuilding the app, TS was still reporting the same error. What worked for me was restarting Visual Studio - this cleared the error and all traces of the old unwanted directive.

You set DockPanel.Dock="Top" to the StackPanel, but the StackPanel is not a child of the DockPanel... the Border is. Your docking property is being ignored.

If you move DockPanel.Dock="Top" to the Border instead, both of your problems will be fixed :)

In my case, I had to change the cell padding of an element that contained an input checkbox for a table that's being dynamically rendered with DataTables:

I had the same problem before when I'm trying import a .aar package into my project, and unfortunately before make the .aar package as a module-dependence of my project, I had two modules (one about ROS-ANDROID-CV-BRIDGE, one is OPENCV-FOR-ANDROID) already. So, I got this error as you guys meet:

Error:Could not find method android() for arguments [org.ros.gradle_plugins.RosAndroidPlugin$_apply_closure2_closure4@7e550e0e] on project ‘:xxx’ of type org.gradle.api.Project.

So, it's the painful gradle-structure caused this problem when you have several modules in your project, and worse, they're imported in different way or have different types (.jar/.aar packages or just a project of Java library). And it's really a headache matter to make the configuration like compile-version, library dependencies etc. in each subproject compatible with the main-project.

I solved my problem just follow this steps:

? Copy .aar package in app/libs.

? Add this in app/build.gradle file:

    }

? Add this in your add build.gradle file of the module which you want to apply the .aar dependence (in my situation, just add this in my app/build.gradle file):

I had this problem before, and the reason is very simple: Check your variables, if there were strings, so put it in quotes '$your_string_variable_here' ,, if it were numerical keep it without any quotes. for example, if I had these data: $name ( It will be string ) $phone_number ( It will be numerical ) So, it will be like that:

By adding the attribute readonly (or readonly="readonly") to the input field you should prevent anyone typing anything in it, but still be able to launch a click event on it.

With this method, you can avoid popping up the "soft" Keyboard and still launch click events / fill the input by any on-screen keyboard.

This solution also works fine with date-time-pickers which generally already implement controls.

.success() and .error() are just nice for simple calls (easy makers):

But generally i handler all errors with .catch():

In browsers other than Internet Explorer, you can pass parameters to the function together after the delay:

To answer the second part of the question:

If they can be virtual, what is an example of a scenario in which one would use such a function?

This is not an unreasonable thing to want to do. For instance, Java (where every method is virtual) has no problems with generic methods.

One example in C++ of wanting a virtual function template is a member function that accepts a generic iterator. Or a member function that accepts a generic function object.

The solution to this problem is to use type erasure with boost::any_range and boost::function, which will allow you to accept a generic iterator or functor without the need to make your function a template.

An alternate way is to construct a view which is then queried just like a table. In many database managers using a view can result in better performance.

I'd suggest OOWeb to act as an HTTP server and a templating engine like Velocity to generate HTML. I also second Esko's suggestion of Wicket. Both solutions are considerably simpler than the average setup.

I just did some tests of the four options that I know about.

So I would suggest that you use anything but Out-Null due to overhead. The next important thing, to me, would be readability. I kind of like redirecting to $null and setting equal to $null myself. I use to prefer casting to [Void], but that may not be as understandable when glancing at code or for new users.

I guess I slightly prefer redirecting output to $null.

After stej's comment again, I decided to do some more tests with pipelines to better isolate the overhead of trashing the output.

Here are some tests with a simple 1000 object pipeline.

In this case, Out-Null has about a 60% overhead and > $null has about a 0.3% overhead.

Addendum 2017-10-16: I originally overlooked another option with Out-Null, the use of the -inputObject parameter. Using this the overhead seems to disappear, however the syntax is different:

Out-Null -inputObject ($(1..1000) | ?{$_ -is [int]})

And now for some tests with a simple 100 object pipeline.

Here again Out-Null has about a 60% overhead. While > $null has an overhead of about 4%. The numbers here varied a bit from test to test (I ran each about 5 times and picked the middle ground). But I think it shows a clear reason to not use Out-Null.

In case you don't have Linq, I solved it the following way:

Be careful, the solution proposed with $a = array_combine($a, $a); will not work for numeric values.

I for example wanted to have a memory array(128,256,512,1024,2048,4096,8192,16384) to be the keys as well as the values however PHP manual states:

If the input arrays have the same string keys, then the later value for that key will overwrite the previous one. If, however, the arrays contain numeric keys, the later value will not overwrite the original value, but will be appended.

So I solved it like this:

the constructor function is called Object (with a capital "O"), and the term "object" (with small "o") refers to the structural nature of the thingy.

What you can do is wrap the functionality in a PL/pgsql function (or another language, but PL/pgsql seems to be the most appropriate for this), and then just call that function. That means it'll still be a single statement to your app.

Use std::string::find as follows:

Surrounding the path and the argument with spaces inside quotes as in your example should do. The command may need to handle the quotes when the parameters are passed to it, but it usually is not a big deal.

As of Laravel v7.X, the framework now comes with a minimal API wrapped around the Guzzle HTTP client. It provides an easy way to make get, post, put, patch, and delete requests using the HTTP Client:

I wanted to add my experience on that. Indeed EF, when you add an object to the context, it changes the state of all the children and related entities to Added. Although there is a small exception in the rule here: if the children/related entities are being tracked by the same context, EF does understand that these entities exist and doesn't add them. The problem happens when for example, you load the children/related entities from some other context or a web ui etc and then yes, EF doesn't know anything about these entities and goes and adds all of them. To avoid that, just get the keys of the entities and find them (e.g. context.Students.FirstOrDefault(s => s.Name == "Alice")) in the same context in which you want to do the addition.

While compiling in RHEL 6.2 (x86_64), I installed both 32bit and 64bit libstdc++-dev packages, but I had the "c++config.h no such file or directory" problem.

Resolution:

The directory /usr/include/c++/4.4.6/x86_64-redhat-linux was missing.

I did the following:

cd /usr/include/c++/4.4.6/
mkdir x86_64-redhat-linux
cd x86_64-redhat-linux
ln -s ../i686-redhat-linux 32

I'm now able to compile 32bit binaries on a 64bit OS.

Are you looking for the SQL used to generate a table? For that, you can query the sqlite_master table:

Null refers to an absence of data. Null is formally defined as a value that is unavailable, unassigned, unknown or inapplicable (OCA Oracle Database 12c, SQL Fundamentals I Exam Guide, p87). So, you may not see records with columns containing null values when said columns are restricted using an "in" or "not in" clauses.

Instead of passing functions or querying it on the controller, I think what you need is relationships on models since these are related tables on your database.

If based on your structure, input_details and products are related you should put relationship definition on your models like this:

The file permissions on my virtual environment directory and my project directory were not correct and, thus, would not allow me to install the proper packages. I upadated them by running:

sudo chown user:user -R [project folder]
sudo chown user:user -R [environment folder]

In the above your should use your own usernames in place of "user". The -R recurses through all subfolders and files.

Although you cannot use import without running the code; there is quite a swift way in which you can input your variables; by using numpy.savez, which stores variables as numpy arrays in a .npz file. Afterwards you can load the variables using numpy.load.

I know this is old, but I ran into the same issue. I'm on a Mac/Ubuntu and switch back and forth. What I have found is that just sending a simple interrupt signal to the main R process does exactly what you're looking for. I've ran scripts that went on for as long as 24 hours and the signal interrupt works very well. You should be able to run kill in terminal:

$ kill -2 pid

You can find the pid by running

$ps aux | grep exec/R

Not sure about Windows since I'm not ever on there, but I can't imagine there's not an option to do this as well in Command Prompt/Task Manager

Simple way to differentiate UTF-8 and UTF-16 is to identify commonalities between them.

Other than sharing same unicode number for given character, each one is their own format.

UTF-8 try to represent, every unicode number given to character with one byte(If it is ASCII), else 2 two bytes, else 4 bytes and so on...

UTF-16 try to represent, every unicode number given to character with two byte to start with. If two bytes are not sufficient, then uses 4 bytes. IF that is also not sufficient, then uses 6 bytes.

Theoretically, UTF-16 is more space efficient, but in practical UTF-8 is more space efficient as most of the characters(98% of data) for processing are ASCII and UTF-8 try to represent them with single byte and UTF-16 try to represent them with 2 bytes.

Also, UTF-8 is superset of ASCII encoding. So every app that expects ASCII data would also accepted by UTF-8 processor. This is not true for UTF-16. UTF-16 could not understand ASCII, and this is big hurdle for UTF-16 adoption.

Another point to note is, all UNICODE as of now could be fit in 4 bytes of UTF-8 maximum(Considering all languages of world). This is same as UTF-16 and no real saving in space compared to UTF-8 ( https://stackoverflow.com/a/8505038/3343801 )

So, people use UTF-8 where ever possible.

Not true for the OP, but this error can be caused by using single quotation marks (') instead of double (") for strings.

The JSON spec requires double quotation marks for strings.

E.g:

JSON.parse(`{"myparam": 'myString'}`)

gives the error, whereas

JSON.parse(`{"myparam": "myString"}`)

does not. Note the quotation marks around myString.

If you're using Python 3.3 or above, I'd recommend the built-in get_terminal_size() as already recommended. However if you are stuck with an older version and want a simple, cross-platform way of doing this, you could use asciimatics. This package supports versions of Python back to 2.7 and uses similar options to those suggested above to get the current terminal/console size.

Simply construct your Screen class and use the dimensions property to get the height and width. This has been proven to work on Linux, OSX and Windows.

By the standard, CSS does not size the canvas coordinate system, it scales the content. In Chrome, the CSS mentioned will scale the canvas up or down to fit the browser's layout. It most likely results in non-proportional drawing as well.

Be careful here. In the example above, if Class1 is Object, the first comparison will always be true. So, just like with exceptions, hierarchical order matters!

Return a list of the words of the string s. If the optional second argument sep is absent or None, the words are separated by arbitrary strings of whitespace characters (space, tab, newline, return, formfeed). If the second argument sep is present and not None, it specifies a string to be used as the word separator. The returned list will then have one more item than the number of non-overlapping occurrences of the separator in the string.

So, you can omit the space I used and do just x.split() but this will also remove tabs and newlines, be aware of that.

As a quick-dirty-smart-simple workaround:

For UILabels that don't have much lines you can instead use stackViews.

1. For each line write a new label.
2. Embed them into a StackView.(select both labels-->Editor-->Embed In -->StackView
3. Adjust the Spacing of the StackView to your desired amount

Be sure to stack them vertically. This solution also works for custom fonts.

I use an interface and create an anonymous instance of it like so:

Not as elegant as creating an instance of that class and calling its own method, but accomplishes the same thing, essentially. Just another way to do it.

What this does is capture 'contextual' information about the user's session, pieces of information which should not change during the life of a single session. A user isn't going to be at a computer in the US and in China at the same time, right? So if the IP address changes suddenly within the same session that strongly implies a session hijacking attempt, so you secure the session by ending the session and forcing the user to re-authenticate. This thwarts the hack attempt, the attacker is also forced to login instead of gaining access to the session. Notify the user of the attempt (ajax it up a bit), and vola, Slightly annoyed+informed user and their session/information is protected.

We throw in User Agent and X-FORWARDED-FOR to do our best to capture uniqueness of a session for systems behind proxies/networks. You may be able to use more information then that, feel free to be creative.

It's not 100%, but it's pretty damn effective.

There's more you can do to protect sessions, expire them, when a user leaves a website and comes back force them to login again maybe. You can detect a user leaving and coming back by capturing a blank HTTP_REFERER (domain was typed in the URL bar), or check if the value in the HTTP_REFERER equals your domain or not (the user clicked an external/crafted link to get to your site).

Expire sessions, don't let them remain valid indefinitely.

Don't rely on cookies, they can be stolen, it's one of the vectors of attack for session hijacking.

If you want the object_name prefixed to any ID you should call form helpers on the form object:

This also makes sure any submitted data is stored in memory should there be any validation errors etc.

If you can't call the form helper method on the form object, for example if you're using a tag helper (radio_button_tag etc.) you can interpolate the name using:

In this case you'd need to specify the value manually to preserve any submissions.

The simplest explanation I can think of is that monads are a way of composing functions with embelished results (aka Kleisli composition). An "embelished" function has the signature a -> (b, smth) where a and b are types (think Int, Bool) that might be different from each other, but not necessarily - and smth is the "context" or the "embelishment".

This type of functions can also be written a -> m b where m is equivalent to the "embelishment" smth. So these are functions that return values in context (think functions that log their actions, where smth is the logging message; or functions that perform input\output and their results depends on the result of the IO action).

A monad is an interface ("typeclass") that makes the implementer tell it how to compose such functions. The implementer needs to define a composition function (a -> m b) -> (b -> m c) -> (a -> m c) for any type m that wants to implement the interface (this is the Kleisli composition).

So, if we say that we have a tuple type (Int, String) representing results of computations on Ints that also log their actions, with (_, String) being the "embelishment" - the log of the action - and two functions increment :: Int -> (Int, String) and twoTimes :: Int -> (Int, String) we want to obtain a function incrementThenDouble :: Int -> (Int, String) which is the composition of the two functions that also takes into account the logs.

On the given example, a monad implementation of the two functions applies to integer value 2 incrementThenDouble 2 (which is equal to twoTimes (increment 2)) would return (6, " Adding 1. Doubling 3.") for intermediary results increment 2 equal to (3, " Adding 1.") and twoTimes 3 equal to (6, " Doubling 3.")

From this Kleisli composition function one can derive the usual monadic functions.
