To answer the question whether there is any caching going on.

I investigated this point further by running a stand-alone Java application that continuously loaded a file from disk using the getResourceAsStream ClassLoader method. I was able to edit the file, and the changes were reflected immediately, i.e., the file was reloaded from disk without caching.

However: I'm working on a project with several maven modules and web projects that have dependencies on each other. I'm using IntelliJ as my IDE to compile and run the web projects.

I noticed that the above seemed to no longer hold true, the reason being that the file that I was being loaded is now baked into a jar and deployed to the depending web project. I only noticed this after trying to change the file in my target folder, to no avail. This made it seem as though there was caching going on.

What you are doing is to look for (0) or (1) results.

(cnt >= 10 && cnt <= 20) returns either true or false.

In Groovy, null == null gets a true. At runtime, you won't know what happened. In Java, == is comparing two references.

This is a cause of big confusion in basic programming, Whether it is safe to use equals. At runtime, a null.equals will give an exception. You've got a chance to know what went wrong.

Especially, you get two values from keys not exist in map(s), == makes them equal.

JavaScript, as defined in your question, can't directly work with MySql. This is because it isn't running on the same computer.

I was fetching a windows-1252 encoded file via cURL and the mb_detect_encoding(curl_exec($ch)); returned UTF-8. Tried utf8_encode(curl_exec($ch)); and the characters were correct.

Including the + in the push spec is probably a bad idea, as it means that git will happily do a non-fast-forward push even without -f, and if the remote server is set up to accept those, you can lose history.

Just to add to others, a note specific to forking.

It's good to realize that technically, cloning the repo and forking the repo are the same thing. Do:

git clone $some_other_repo

and you can tap yourself on the back---you have just forked some other repo.

Git, as a VCS, is in fact all about cloning forking. Apart from "just browsing" using remote UI such as cgit, there is very little to do with git repo that does not involve forking cloning the repo at some point.

However,

• when someone says I forked repo X, they mean that they have created a clone of the repo somewhere else with intention to expose it to others, for example to show some experiments, or to apply different access control mechanism (eg. to allow people without Github access but with company internal account to collaborate).

The mail server on CentOS 6 and other IPv6 capable server platforms may be bound to IPv6 localhost (::1) instead of IPv4 localhost (127.0.0.1).

If this happens, make sure that you don't have two entries for localhost in /etc/hosts with different IP addresses, like this (bad) example:

If you want Bootstrap 3 support for RTL and LTR on your site, you can modify CSS rules "on the fly", attached here is a function, it modifies the major classes for Bootstrap 3 like col-(xs|sm|md|lg)-(1-12), col-(xs|sm|md|lg)-push-(1-12), col-(xs|sm|md|lg)-pull-(1-12), col-(xs|sm|md|lg)-offset-(1-12), there are many more classes to be modified but i needed only those.

Think of (char *) as string.begin(). The essential difference is that (char *) is an iterator and std::string is a container. If you stick to basic strings a (char *) will give you what std::string::iterator does. You could use (char *) when you want the benefit of an iterator and also compatibility with C, but that's the exception and not the rule. As always, be careful of iterator invalidation. When people say (char *) isn't safe this is what they mean. It's as safe as any other C++ iterator.

Quartz 2D graphics use a coordinate system with the origin in the bottom left while UIKit in iOS uses a coordinate system with the origin at the top left. Everything usually works fine but when doing some graphics operations, you have to modify the coordinate system yourself. The documentation states:

Some technologies set up their graphics contexts using a different default coordinate system than the one used by Quartz. Relative to Quartz, such a coordinate system is a modified coordinate system and must be compensated for when performing some Quartz drawing operations. The most common modified coordinate system places the origin in the upper-left corner of the context and changes the y-axis to point towards the bottom of the page.

This phenomenon can be seen in the following two instances of custom views that draw an image in their drawRect methods.

On the left side, the image is upside-down and on the right side the coordinate system has been translated and scaled so that the origin is in the top left.

You don't need - actually, can't "declare" variables in batch. Assigning a value to a variable creates it, and assigning an empty string deletes it. Any variable name that doesn't have an assigned value HAS a value of an empty string. ALL variables are strings - WITHOUT exception. There ARE operations that appear to perform (integer) mathematical functions, but they operate by converting back and forth from strings.

Batch is sensitive to spaces in variable names, so your assignment as posted would assign the string "A B C D" - including the quotes, to the variable "list " - NOT including the quotes, but including the space. The syntax set "var=string" is used to assign the value string to var whereas set var=string will do the same thing. Almost. In the first case, any stray trailing spaces after the closing quote are EXCLUDED from the value assigned, in the second, they are INCLUDED. Spaces are a little hard to see when printed.

ECHO echoes strings. Clasically, it is followed by a space - one of the default separators used by batch (the others are TAB, COMMA, SEMICOLON - any of these do just as well BUT TABS often get transformed to a space-squence by text-editors and the others have grown quirks of their own over the years.) Other characters following the O in ECHO have been found to do precisely what the documented SPACE should do. DOT is common. Open-parenthesis ( is probably the most useful since the command

ECHO.%emptyvalue%

will produce a report of the ECHO state (ECHO is on/off) whereas

will produce an empty line.

Here is another option.

os.scandir(path='.')

It returns an iterator of os.DirEntry objects corresponding to the entries (along with file attribute information) in the directory given by path.

If you are using 32-bit ubuntu (my case) then it is most likely that Android Studio has downloaded 64-bit version of adb and fastboot inside your sdk/platform-tools folder. I think you already have installed adb (and fastboot). If you haven't then run these commands in terminal:

I don't know of a global setting nither but you can try this:

1. Save all Visual Studio templates in UTF-8
2. Write a Visual Studio Macro/Addin that will listen to the DocumentSaved event and will save the file in UTF-8 format (if not already).
3. Put a proxy on your source control that will make sure that new files are always UTF-8.

There are some cases, when textbox will not handle enter key. I think it may be when you have accept button set on form. In that case, instead of KeyDown event you should use textbox1_PreviewKeyDown(object sender, PreviewKeyDownEventArgs e)

I agree that Amazon appears to be intentionally obfuscating even how to find the API documentation, as well as use it. I'm just speculating though.

Renaming the services from "ECS" to "Product Advertising API" was probably also not the best move, it essentially invalidated all that Google mojo they had built up over time.

It took me quite a while to 'discover' this updated link for the Product Advertising API. I don't remember being able to easily discover it through the typical 'Developer' link on the Amazon webpage. This documentation appears to valid and what I've worked from recently.

The change to authentication procedures also seems to add further complexity, but I'm sure they have a reason for it.

I use SOAP via C# to communicate with Amazon Product API.

With the REST API you have to encrypt the whole URL in a fairly specific way. The params have to be sorted, etc. There is just more to do. With the SOAP API, you just encrypt the operation+timestamp, and thats it.

Adam O'Neil's post here, How to get album, dvd, and blueray cover art from Amazon, walks through the SOAP with C# method. Its not the original sample I pulled down, and contrary to his comment, it was not an official Amazon sample I stumbled on, though the code looks identical. However, Adam does a good job at presenting all the necessary steps. I wish I could credit the original author.

I solve this problem by always using the [h] option on floats (such as figures) so that they (mostly) go where I place them. Then when I look at the final draft, I adjust the location of the float by moving it in the LaTeX source. Usually that means moving it around the paragraph where it is referenced. Sometimes I need to add a page break at an appropriate spot.

I've found that the default placement of floats is reasonable in LaTeX, but manual adjustments are almost always needed to get things like this just right. (And sometimes it isn't possible for everything to be perfect when there are lots of floats and footnotes.)

Why a lot of people consider it a code smell of iterating over a dictionary (e.g. by foreach(KeyValuePair<,>): It is quite surprising, but there is a little cited, but basic principle of Clean Coding: "Express intent!" Robert C. Martin writes in "Clean Code": "Choosing names that reveal intent". Obviously this is too weak. "Express (reveal) intent with every coding decision" would be better. My wording. I am lacking a good first source but I am sure there are... A related principle is "Principle of least surprise" (=Principle of Least Astonishment).

Why this is related to iterating over a dictionary? Choosing a dictionary expresses the intent of choosing a data structure which was made for finding data by key. Nowadays there are so much alternatives in .NET, if you want to iterate through key/value pairs that you don´t need this crutch.

Moreover: If you iterate over something, you have to reveal something about how the items are (to be) ordered and expected to be ordered! AFAIK, Dictionary has no specification about ordering (implementation-specific conventions only). What are the alternatives?

TLDR:
SortedList: If your collection is not getting too large, a simple solution would be to use SortedList<,> which gives you also full indexing of key/value pairs.

To mention the most important: KeyedCollection<,> and SortedDictionary<,> . SortedDictionary<,> is a bit faster than SortedList for oly inserting if it gets large, but lacks indexing and is needed only if O(log n) for inserting is preferenced over other operations. If you really need O(1) for inserting and accept slower iterating in exchange, you have to stay with simple Dictionary<,>. Obviously there is no data structure which is the fastest for every possible operation..

Additionally there is ImmutableSortedDictionary<,>.

And if one data structure is not exactly what you need, then derivate from Dictionary<,> or even from the new ConcurrentDictionary<,> and add explicit iteration/sorting functions!

It's not a valid format. No country codes begin with 0.

The digits after the + should usually be a country code, 1 to 3 digits long.

This is due to Morphia jar not being part of your output war/jar. Eclipse or local build includes them as part of classpath, but remote builds or auto/scheduled build don't consider them part of classpath.

OS X tends to prefix the system account names with "_"; you don't say what version of OS X you're using, but at least in 10.8 and 10.9 the _postgres user exists in a default install. Note that you won't be able to su to this account (except as root), since it doesn't have a password. sudo -u _postgres, on the other hand, should work fine.

Generally speaking, fixed section should be set with width, height and top, bottom properties, otherwise it won't recognise its size and position.

If the used box is direct child for body and has neighbours, then it makes sense to check z-index and top, left properties, since they could overlap each other, which might affect your mouse hover while scrolling the content.

Here is the solution for a content box (a direct child of body tag) which is commonly used along with mobile navigation.

Yes, it is possible to run PowerShell through the run window. However, it would be burdensome and you will need to enter in the password for computer. This is similar to how you will need to set up when you run cmd:

then your system will execute the elevated powershell.

First of all, it is a waste of an executor slot to wrap the build step in node. Your upstream executor will just be sitting idle for no reason.

Second, from a multibranch project, you can use the environment variable BRANCH_NAME to make logic conditional on the current branch.

Third, the job parameter takes an absolute or relative job name. If you give a name without any path qualification, that would refer to another job in the same folder, which in the case of a multibranch project would mean another branch of the same repository.

Thus what you meant to write is probably

When you compare update_date >= '2013-05-03' postgres casts values to the same type to compare values. So your '2013-05-03' was casted to '2013-05-03 00:00:00'.

Command sudo fails as it is trying to prompt on root password and there is no pseudo-tty allocated (as it's part of the script).

You need to either log-in as root to run this command or set-up the following rules in your /etc/sudoers (or: sudo visudo):

I had this problem today using any of concat, append or merge, and I got around it by adding a helper column sequentially numbered and then doing an outer join

I don't know if you ever found an answer to this but I DIDN'T need MAMP PRO to do this. Simply goto the correct path by following what others have said. It's something like...

MAMP-> bin-> php-> php(your php version)-> conf-> php.ini

The key here is where you're editing the file. I was making the mistake of editing the commented part of the ini file. You actually have to scroll down to LINE #472 where it says "display_errors = Off and change it to On. Hope this helps any

Define width of .absorbing-column

Set table-layout to auto and define an extreme width on .absorbing-column.

Here I have set the width to 100% because it ensures that this column will take the maximum amount of space allowed, while the columns with no defined width will reduce to fit their content and no further.

This is one of the quirky benefits of how tables behave. The table-layout: auto algorithm is mathematically forgiving.

You may even choose to define a min-width on all td elements to prevent them from becoming too narrow and the table will behave nicely.

The theoretical limit (on Windows) for the maximum size of a UDP packet is 65507 bytes. This is documented here:

In my case, I created a new ChildComponent in Parentcomponent whereas both in the same module but Parent is registered in a shared module so I created ChildComponent using CLI which registered Child in the current module but my parent was registered in the shared module.

The settings which has been advised to change in @Diego's accepted answer might be good if you want to set this option permanently for all future query sessions that you open within SQL Server Management Studio(SSMS). This is usually not the case. Also, changing this setting requires restarting SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) application. This is again a 'not-so-nice' experience if you've many unsaved open query session windows and you are in the middle of some debugging.

SQL Server gives a much slick option of changing it on per session basis which is very quick, handy and convenient. I'm detailing the steps below using query options window:

The notation that is used in

a[::-1]

means that for a given string/list/tuple, you can slice the said object using the format

<object_name>[<start_index>, <stop_index>, <step>]

This means that the object is going to slice every "step" index from the given start index, till the stop index (excluding the stop index) and return it to you.

In case the start index or stop index is missing, it takes up the default value as the start index and stop index of the given string/list/tuple. If the step is left blank, then it takes the default value of 1 i.e it goes through each index.

So,

would print

13

Now the indexing here and also the step count, support negative numbers. So, if you give a -1 index, it translates to len(a)-1 index. And if you give -x as the step count, then it would step every x'th value from the start index, till the stop index in the reverse direction. For example

print a[3:0:-1]

This would return

432

Note, that it doesn't return 4321 because, the stop index is not included.

Now in your case,

str(int(a[::-1]))

would just reverse a given integer, that is stored in a string, and then convert it back to a string

i.e "1234" -> "4321" -> 4321 -> "4321"

If what you are trying to do is just reverse the given string, then simply a[::-1] would work .

I don't know advantages and disadvantages for this way but this is working. This technic has a little bit more code but these codes can be seperated by different methods etc. There are more good answers for this question but I want to point to different solution. In 32 bit os, 4 bytes for each pointer. so 4 * 280 = 1120 bytes.

Coming to your question, int (*pointer)[280]; and int (*pointer)[100][280]; are different though it points to same 2D array of [100][280].

Because if int (*pointer)[280]; is incremented, then it will points to next 1D array, but where as int (*pointer)[100][280]; crosses the whole 2D array and points to next byte. Accessing that byte may cause problem if that memory doen't belongs to your process.

Not sure I completely understand the question but:

Thank you all for the help. Here is a breakdown of how I fixed my problem:

Right click on your project > Properties

Under Application change the target Framework. In my case ImageSharp was using .Net 4.6.1. You can find this in your packages.config.

Go to your project references. You'll notice SixLabors has a yellow triangle. You have to update the NuGet package.

Right click on References > Manage NuGet Packages.

Update SixLabors.

You might have slight code updates (see below) but this fixed my problem.

request.args is a MultiDict with the parsed contents of the query string. From the documentation of get method:

get(key, default=None, type=None)

Return the default value if the requested data doesn’t exist. If type is provided and is a callable it should convert the value, return it or raise a ValueError if that is not possible.

Specifying a VOLUME line in a Dockerfile configures a bit of metadata on your image, but how that metadata is used is important.

First, what did these two lines do:

WORKDIR /usr/src/app
VOLUME . /usr/src/app

The WORKDIR line there creates the directory if it doesn't exist, and updates some image metadata to specify all relative paths, along with the current directory for commands like RUN will be in that location. The VOLUME line there specifies two volumes, one is the relative path ., and the other is /usr/src/app, both just happen to be the same directory. Most often the VOLUME line only contains a single directory, but it can contain multiple as you've done, or it can be a json formatted array.

You cannot specify a volume source in the Dockerfile: A common source of confusion when specifying volumes in a Dockerfile is trying to match the runtime syntax of a source and destination at image build time, this will not work. The Dockerfile can only specify the destination of the volume. It would be a trivial security exploit if someone could define the source of a volume since they could update a common image on the docker hub to mount the root directory into the container and then launch a background process inside the container as part of an entrypoint that adds logins to /etc/passwd, configures systemd to launch a bitcoin miner on next reboot, or searches the filesystem for credit cards, SSNs, and private keys to send off to a remote site.

What does the VOLUME line do? As mentioned, it sets some image metadata to say a directory inside the image is a volume. How is this metadata used? Every time you create a container from this image, docker will force that directory to be a volume. If you do not provide a volume in your run command, or compose file, the only option for docker is to create an anonymous volume. This is a local named volume with a long unique id for the name and no other indication for why it was created or what data it contains (anonymous volumes are were data goes to get lost). If you override the volume, pointing to a named or host volume, your data will go there instead.

VOLUME breaks things: You cannot disable a volume once defined in a Dockerfile. And more importantly, the RUN command in docker is implemented with temporary containers. Those temporary containers will get a temporary anonymous volume. That anonymous volume will be initialized with the contents of your image. Any writes inside the container from your RUN command will be made to that volume. When the RUN command finishes, changes to the image are saved, and changes to the anonymous volume are discarded. Because of this, I strongly recommend against defining a VOLUME inside the Dockerfile. It results in unexpected behavior for downstream users of your image that wish to extend the image with initial data in volume location.

How should you specify a volume? To specify where you want to include volumes with your image, provide a docker-compose.yml. Users can modify that to adjust the volume location to their local environment, and it captures other runtime settings like publishing ports and networking.

Someone should document this! They have. Docker includes warnings on the VOLUME usage in their documentation on the Dockerfile along with advice to specify the source at runtime:

• Changing the volume from within the Dockerfile: If any build steps change the data within the volume after it has been declared, those changes will be discarded.

...

• The host directory is declared at container run-time: The host directory (the mountpoint) is, by its nature, host-dependent. This is to preserve image portability, since a given host directory can’t be guaranteed to be available on all hosts. For this reason, you can’t mount a host directory from within the Dockerfile. The VOLUME instruction does not support specifying a host-dir parameter. You must specify the mountpoint when you create or run the container.

Your interior <div> elements should likely both be float:left. Divs size to 100% the size of their container width automatically. Try using display:inline-block instead of width:auto on the container div. Or possibly float:left the container and also apply overflow:auto. Depends on what you're after exactly.

You can't, you can NEVER restore from a higher version to a lower version of SQL Server. Your only option is to script out the database and then transfer the data via SSIS, BCP, linked server or scripting out the data

This is a very common pattern when working with MVVM. In theory you could do the conversion yourself on the ViewModel property (i.e. just make the property itself of type Visibility) though I would prefer not to do that, since now you are messing with the separation of concerns. An item's visbility should really be up to the View.

This problem just came up with me as well and unfortunately none of the suggestions here helped me. After trying a lot of things, I finally found out what happened and hope it can help others.

Yesterday I downloaded a lot of new stuff using the Android SDK Manager. After that I updated the Android Eclipse plugin. Today, after an Eclipse "clean", the R file vanished and stopped being generated.

The reason was that, somehow, the list of available SDKs (under preferences-> android) was empty. After pointing it again to the right directory it reloaded and showed the available SDKs. When I closed the preferences and tried another build, everything came back to normal.

In the image attached you can see the list of SDKs already filled. While the problem was happening it was empty.

Just in case somebody else stumbles across this problem, I inherited an older CodeIgniter project and had a lot of trouble getting it to install.

I wasted a ton of time trying to create a local installation of the site and tried everything. In the end, the solution was simple.

The problem is that older CodeIgniter versions (like 1.7 and below), don't work with PHP 5.3. The solution is to switch to PHP 5.2 or something older.

Adding the following lines to a new script will clear all variables each time you rerun the script:

I know this is an old post, but I wanted to add something I learned for the next folks who land here while googling.

In Powershell 5.1, you want to use continue to move onto the next item in your loop. I tested with 6 items in an array, had a foreach loop through, but put an if statement with:

Of the 6 items, the 3rd one was something. As expected, it looped through the first 2, then the matching something gave me the red line where $i matched, I saw something is bad and then it went on to the next item in the array without saying should not see this. I tested with return and it exited the loop altogether.

The only way to do this with CSS only is by using CSS 3 which is not going to work on every browser (only the latest generation like FF 3.5, Opera, Safari, Chrome).

Indeed with CSS 3 there's this awesome property : column-count that you can use like so :

As you can read there, there are serious limitations in using this. In the example above, it will only add up to one another column if the content overflows. in mozilla you can use the column-width property that allows you to divide the content in as many columns as needed.

Otherwise you'll have to distribute the content between different divs in Javascript or in the backend.

Simple way is to use the EJS template engine for serving .html files. Put this line right next to your view engine setup:

Now have even more fun with a sorting method that sorts an array full of multiple items! Doesn't currently cover "associative" (aka, string keys), but it does cover about every type of value! Not only will it sort the multiple values asc or desc accordingly, but it will also maintain constant "position" of "groups" of values. In other words; ints are always first, then come strings, then arrays (yes, i'm making this multidimensional!), then Objects (unfiltered, element, date), & finally undefineds and nulls!

"Why?" you ask. Why not!

Now comes in 2 flavors! The first of which requires newer browsers as it uses Object.defineProperty to add the method to the Array.protoype Object. This allows for ease of natural use, such as: myArray.smartSort('a'). Seeing the other answers, however, I thought it worth noting that, if your text is already available as a std::string, then a simple, zero-copy, maximally efficient solution exists that hasn't been mentioned so far:

They're closely related. A ClassNotFoundException is thrown when Java went looking for a particular class by name and could not successfully load it. A NoClassDefFoundError is thrown when Java went looking for a class that was linked into some existing code, but couldn't find it for one reason or another (e.g., wrong classpath, wrong version of Java, wrong version of a library) and is thoroughly fatal as it indicates that something has gone Badly Wrong.

If you've got a C background, a CNFE is like a failure to dlopen()/dlsym() and an NCDFE is a problem with the linker; in the second case, the class files concerned should never have been actually compiled in the configuration you're trying to use them.

Even though the above solutions do work,This answer is for you in case you want to reverse the clock instead of undoing a git pull.I mean if you want to get your exact repo the way it was X Mins back then run the command

I was currently on a branch develop, I was supposed to checkout to a new branch and pull in another branch lets say Branch A but I accidentally ran git pull origin B before checking out.

so to undo this change I tried this command

git reset --hard develop@{"10 Minutes ago"}

if you are on windows cmd and get error: unknown switch `e

try adding quotes like this

git reset --hard 'develop@{"10 Minutes ago"}'

Using imagemagick, you can try:
