It depends on the compiler. If you compile with, say, G++ on Linux and VC++ on Windows, this will do :

If you can't just use filter join but need to perform some operations on the array's entry:

Basically when gradle puts together the apk file, it copies content from all the compile dependencies, It is intelligent enough to see that there is a duplicate file..coming from two different jar files. This could be any file like a.txt or META-INF/DEPENDENCIES. It might be best to exclude these files using the below, in case the file is present there only for informational purposes.

As p.marino has already pointed out, merge is probably the better (and more correct) solution for your problem as it is specifically designed to solve your task.

For Mac OSX: There is a way to install Visual Studio Code through Brew-Cask.

1. First, install 'Homebrew' from here.

2. Now run following command and it will install latest Visual Studio Code on your Mac.

   $> brew cask install visual-studio-code

According to section 2.2 of the manual, you can use the Escape key pressed twice in place of the CTRL key. This allowed me to use Nano's key combination for GO TO LINE when running Nano on a Jupyter/ JupyterHub and accessing through my browser. The normal key combination was getting 'swallowed' as the manual warns about can more often happen with the ALT key on some systems, and which can be replaced by one press of the ESCAPE key.
So for jump to line it was ESCAPE pressed twice, followed by shift key + dash key.

I just used getLocaleString() function for my application. It should adapt the timeformat common to the locale, so no +0200 etc. Ofcourse, there will be less possibility for controlling the width of your string then.

If you have more keys than values, and you want to fill in values for the extra keys, you can use itertools.izip_longest.

Here, a, b, c, and d are variables -- it will work fine (so long as they are defined), but you probably meant ['a','b','c','d'] if you want them as strings.

zip takes the first item from each iterable and makes a tuple, then the second item from each, etc. etc.

The ternary example above is miss leading. Dart will respond with an error that a null was returned instead of widget. You can't return null. The correct way will be to return a widget:

I had changed the document root for my wamp-server-installed apache web server. so using the relative url i.e. (images/img.png) didn't work. I had to use the absolute url in order for it to work i.e.

background-image:url("http://localhost/project_x/images/img.png");

I have been asking this question for a long time, but I think there is no silver bullet for that.

What I currently do is mocking the DAO objects and keeping a in memory representation of a good collection of objects that represent interesting cases of data that could live on the database.

The main problem I see with that approach is that you're covering only the code that interacts with your DAO layer, but never testing the DAO itself, and in my experience I see that a lot of errors happen on that layer as well. I also keep a few unit tests that run against the database (for the sake of using TDD or quick testing locally), but those tests are never run on my continuous integration server, since we don't keep a database for that purpose and I think tests that run on CI server should be self-contained.

Another approach I find very interesting, but not always worth since is a little time consuming, is to create the same schema you use for production on an embedded database that just runs within the unit testing.

Even though there's no question this approach improves your coverage, there are a few drawbacks, since you have to be as close as possible to ANSI SQL to make it work both with your current DBMS and the embedded replacement.

No matter what you think is more relevant for your code, there are a few projects out there that may make it easier, like DbUnit.

To run docker inside docker is definitely possible. The main thing is that you run the outer container with extra privileges (starting with --privileged=true) and then install docker in that container.

One potential use case for this is described in this entry. The blog describes how to build docker containers within a Jenkins docker container.

However, Docker inside Docker it is not the recommended approach to solve this type of problems. Instead, the recommended approach is to create "sibling" containers as described in this post

So, running Docker inside Docker was by many considered as a good type of solution for this type of problems. Now, the trend is to use "sibling" containers instead. See the answer by @predmijat on this page for more info.

I wasn't going to answer this question but there are two answers here (that are getting voted up!) that are just plain wrong. Consider these expressions:

String a = "a" + "b" + "c";
String b = System.getProperty("blah") + "b";

The first is evaluated at compile-time. The second is evaluated at run-time.

So never replace constant concatenations (of any type) with StringBuilder, StringBuffer or the like. Only use those where variables are invovled and generally only when you're appending a lot of operands or you're appending in a loop.

If the characters are constant, this is fine:

String s = "" + 'a' + 'b' + 'c';

If however they aren't, consider this:

String concat(char... chars) {
  if (chars.length == 0) {
    return "";
  }
  StringBuilder s = new StringBuilder(chars.length);
  for (char c : chars) {
    s.append(c);
  }

as an appropriate solution.

However some might be tempted to optimise:

While this is well-intentioned, the bottom line is DON'T.

Why? As another answer correctly pointed out: the compiler does this for you. So in doing it yourself, you're not allowing the compiler to optimise the code or not depending if its a good idea, the code is harder to read and its unnecessarily complicated.

For low-level optimisation the compiler is better at optimising code than you are.

Let the compiler do its job. In this case the worst case scenario is that the compiler implicitly changes your code to exactly what you wrote. Concatenating 2-3 Strings might be more efficient than constructing a StringBuilder so it might be better to leave it as is. The compiler knows whats best in this regard.

This started out as an attempt to cast video from my pc to a tv (with subtitles) eventually using Chromecast. And I ended up in this "does not play mp4" situation. However I seemed to have proved that Chrome will play (exactly the same) mp4 as long as it isn't wrapped in html(5) So here is what I have constructed. I have made a webpage under localhost and in there is a default.htm which contains:-

I have the very latest version of Chrome (just updated this morning)

When I type the appropriate localhost... into my Chrome browser a black square appears with a "GO" arrow and an elapsed time bar, a mute button and an icon which says "CC". If I hit the go arrow, nothing happens (it doesn't change to "pause", the elapsed time doesn't move, and the timer sticks at 0:00. There are no error messages - nothing!

(note that if I input localhost.. to IE11 the video plays!!!!

In Chrome if I enter the disc address of sample.mp4 (i.e. C:\webstore\sample.mp4 then Chrome will play the video fine?.

This last bit is probably a working solution for Chromecast except that I cannot see any subtitles. I really want a solution with working subtitles. I just don't understand what is different in Chrome between the two methods of playing mp4

Yes, with reflection - assuming each property type implements Equals appropriately. An alternative would be to use ReflectiveEquals recursively for all but some known types, but that gets tricky.

Your setters are strange, which is why you may be seeing a problem.

First, consider whether you even need these setters - if so, they should take a List<string>, not just a string:

Are calling the getter and then call Add on the returned List<string> - the setter is not invoked.

A percentage value in a height property has a little complication, and the width and height properties actually behave differently to each other. Let me take you on a tour through the specs.

height property:

Let's have a look at what CSS Snapshot 2010 spec says about height:

The percentage is calculated with respect to the height of the generated box's containing block. If the height of the containing block is not specified explicitly (i.e., it depends on content height), and this element is not absolutely positioned, the value computes to 'auto'. A percentage height on the root element is relative to the initial containing block. Note: For absolutely positioned elements whose containing block is based on a block-level element, the percentage is calculated with respect to the height of the padding box of that element.

OK, let's take that apart step by step:

The percentage is calculated with respect to the height of the generated box's containing block.

What's a containing block? It's a bit complicated, but for a normal element in the default static position, it's:

the nearest block container ancestor box

or in English, its parent box. (It's well worth knowing what it would be for fixed and absolute positions as well, but I'm ignoring that to keep this answer short.)

So take these two examples:

As the spec says, it also matters whether the containing block has been absolutely positioned or not, but let's move on to width.

width property:

So does it work the same way for width? Let's take a look at the spec:

Wahey, that's not helpful. To save you the trouble, I've found you the relevant section to our use-case, titled "calculating widths and margins", subtitled "block-level, non-replaced elements in normal flow":

The following constraints must hold among the used values of the other properties:

OK, so width plus the relevant margin, border and padding borders must all add up to the width of the containing block (not descendents the way height works). Just one more spec sentence:

If 'width' is set to 'auto', any other 'auto' values become '0' and 'width' follows from the resulting equality.

You should always assume or default to the first submit button to appear in the form HTML source code. In practice, the various browsers reliably send the name/value of a submit button with the post data when:

Other ways to submit a form exist, and some browsers/versions decide not to send the name/value of any submit buttons in some of these situations. I had a devil of a time with this.

I attempted this method but it did not work. I ended up turning OFF USB debugging and the device then requested that install motocast.

It attempted to use the build in installer but it kept crashing past the download. After I downloaded it manually and installed it, I was able to do it.

As others have mentioned, you can set the li to display:inline;, or float the li left or right. Additionally, you can also use display:flex; on the ul. In the snippet below I also added justify-content:space-around to give it more spacing.

The trick is to use ANT's resources:

• There is one resource type called "propertyresource" which is like a source file, but provides an stream from the string value of this resource. So you can load it and use it in any task like "copy" that accepts files
• There is also the task "loadresource" that can load any resource to a property (e.g., a file), but this one could also load our propertyresource. This task allows for filtering the input by applying some token transformations. Finally the following will do what you want:

Note that instead of an infinite for loop I used a while(boolean), making it easy to exit the loop. Another approach would be using break with labels.

Favicons only work when served from a web-server which sets mime-types correctly for served content. Loading from a local file might not work in chromium. Loading from an incorrectly configured web-server will not work.

Web-servers such as lighthttpd must be configured manually to set the mime type correctly.

Because of the likelihood that mimetype assignment will not work in all environments, I would suggest you use an inline base64 encoded ico file instead. This will load faster as well, as it reduces the number of http requests sent to the server.

On POSIX based systems you can base64 encode a file with the base64 command.

To create a base64 encoded ico line use the command:

Jquery 3.0 has some breaking changes that remove certain methods due to conflicts. Your error is most likely due to one of these changes such as the removal of the .load() event.

To fix this you either need to rewrite the code to be compatible with Jquery 3.0 or else you can use the JQuery Migrate plugin which restores the deprecated and/or removed APIs and behaviours.

You aren't doing anything with the return value of replace. You'll need to assign the result of the method, which is the new String:

sentence = sentence.replace("and", " ");

A String is immutable in java. Methods like replace return a new String.

Your contains test is unnecessary: replace will just no-op if there aren't instances of the text to replace.

In my case I had trouble with the "Environment variables" while adding reference to my COM DLL.

When I added the reference to my project, I was looking for P:\Core path, whereas I had added the c:\core path in past into path environment varaible.

So my code was attempting wrong path first. I removed that and un-registered the DLL reference and re-registered my DLL reference using (regsvr32). Hope this helps.

This is why you should always import the base datetime module: import datetime, rather than the datetime class within that module: from datetime import datetime.

The other mistake you have made is to actually call the function in the default, with the (). This means that all models will get the date at the time the class is first defined - so if your server stays up for days or weeks without restarting Apache, all elements will get same the initial date.

So the field should be:

Static libraries do not link with other static libraries. The only way to do this is to use your librarian/archiver tool (for example ar on Linux) to create a single new static library by concatenating the multiple libraries.

Edit: In response to your update, the only way I know to select only the symbols that are required is to manually create the library from the subset of the .o files that contain them. This is difficult, time consuming and error prone. I'm not aware of any tools to help do this (not to say they don't exist), but it would make quite an interesting project to produce one.

Based on the correct answer, but taking into account ASCII control characters as well, the solution that worked for me is this:

It does the same thing: searches for violations of the ASCII range in a column, but lets you search for control characters too, since it uses hexadecimal notation for code points. Since there is no comparison or conversion (unlike @Ollie's answer), this should be significantly faster, too. (Especially if MySQL does early-termination on the regex query, which it definitely should.)

It also avoids returning fields that are zero-length. If you want a slightly-longer version that might perform better, you can use this instead:

It does a separate check for length to avoid zero-length results, without considering them for a regex pass. Depending on the number of zero-length entries you have, this could be significantly faster.

Basically you need to look up ArrayList element based on name getName. Two approaches to this problem:

1- Don't use ArrayList, Use HashMap<String,AutionItem> where String would be name

2- Use getName to generate index and use index based addition into array list list.add(int index, E element). One way to generate index from name would be to use its hashCode and modulo by ArrayList current size (something similar what is used inside HashMap)

The blog post you quoted overstates its claim a bit. FP doesn't eliminate the need for design patterns. The term "design patterns" just isn't widely used to describe the same thing in FP languages. But they exist. Functional languages have plenty of best practice rules of the form "when you encounter problem X, use code that looks like Y", which is basically what a design pattern is.

However, it's correct that most OOP-specific design patterns are pretty much irrelevant in functional languages.

I don't think it should be particularly controversial to say that design patterns in general only exist to patch up shortcomings in the language. And if another language can solve the same problem trivially, that other language won't have need of a design pattern for it. Users of that language may not even be aware that the problem exists, because, well, it's not a problem in that language.

Here is what the Gang of Four has to say about this issue:

The choice of programming language is important because it influences one's point of view. Our patterns assume Smalltalk/C++-level language features, and that choice determines what can and cannot be implemented easily. If we assumed procedural languages, we might have included design patterns called "Inheritance", "Encapsulation," and "Polymorphism". Similarly, some of our patterns are supported directly by the less common object-oriented languages. CLOS has multi-methods, for example, which lessen the need for a pattern such as Visitor. In fact, there are enough differences between Smalltalk and C++ to mean that some patterns can be expressed more easily in one language than the other. (See Iterator for example.)

(The above is a quote from the Introduction to the Design Patterns book, page 4, paragraph 3)

The main features of functional programming include functions as first-class values, currying, immutable values, etc. It doesn't seem obvious to me that OO design patterns are approximating any of those features.

What is the command pattern, if not an approximation of first-class functions? :) In an FP language, you'd simply pass a function as the argument to another function. In an OOP language, you have to wrap up the function in a class, which you can instantiate and then pass that object to the other function. The effect is the same, but in OOP it's called a design pattern, and it takes a whole lot more code. And what is the abstract factory pattern, if not currying? Pass parameters to a function a bit at a time, to configure what kind of value it spits out when you finally call it.

So yes, several GoF design patterns are rendered redundant in FP languages, because more powerful and easier to use alternatives exist.

But of course there are still design patterns which are not solved by FP languages. What is the FP equivalent of a singleton? (Disregarding for a moment that singletons are generally a terrible pattern to use.)

And it works both ways too. As I said, FP has its design patterns too; people just don't usually think of them as such.

But you may have run across monads. What are they, if not a design pattern for "dealing with global state"? That's a problem that's so simple in OOP languages that no equivalent design pattern exists there.

We don't need a design pattern for "increment a static variable", or "read from that socket", because it's just what you do.

Saying a monad is a design pattern is as absurd as saying the Integers with their usual operations and zero element is a design pattern. No, a monad is a mathematical pattern, not a design pattern.

In (pure) functional languages, side effects and mutable state are impossible, unless you work around it with the monad "design pattern", or any of the other methods for allowing the same thing.

Additionally, in functional languages which support OOP (such as F# and OCaml), it seems obvious to me that programmers using these languages would use the same design patterns found available to every other OOP language. In fact, right now I use F# and OCaml everyday, and there are no striking differences between the patterns I use in these languages vs the patterns I use when I write in Java.

Perhaps because you're still thinking imperatively? A lot of people, after dealing with imperative languages all their lives, have a hard time giving up on that habit when they try a functional language. (I've seen some pretty funny attempts at F#, where literally every function was just a string of 'let' statements, basically as if you'd taken a C program, and replaced all semicolons with 'let'. :))

But another possibility might be that you just haven't realized that you're solving problems trivially which would require design patterns in an OOP language.

When you use currying, or pass a function as an argument to another, stop and think about how you'd do that in an OOP language.

Is there any truth to the claim that functional programming eliminates the need for OOP design patterns?

Yep. :) When you work in a FP language, you no longer need the OOP-specific design patterns. But you still need some general design patterns, like MVC or other non-OOP specific stuff, and you need a couple of new FP-specific "design patterns" instead. All languages have their shortcomings, and design patterns are usually how we work around them.

Anyway, you may find it interesting to try your hand at "cleaner" FP languages, like ML (my personal favorite, at least for learning purposes), or Haskell, where you don't have the OOP crutch to fall back on when you're faced with something new.

As expected, a few people objected to my definition of design patterns as "patching up shortcomings in a language", so here's my justification:

As already said, most design patterns are specific to one programming paradigm, or sometimes even one specific language. Often, they solve problems that only exist in that paradigm (see monads for FP, or abstract factories for OOP).

Why doesn't the abstract factory pattern exist in FP? Because the problem it tries to solve does not exist there.

So, if a problem exists in OOP languages, which does not exist in FP languages, then clearly that is a shortcoming of OOP languages. The problem can be solved, but your language does not do so, but requires a bunch of boilerplate code from you to work around it. Ideally, we'd like our programming language to magically make all problems go away. Any problem that is still there is in principle a shortcoming of the language. ;)

Repository documents keep track of the most recent commit for that particular repository that has been indexed. When a user pushes a new commit up to Github, we then pull that repository document from elasticsearch. We then see the most recently indexed commit and then we get a list of all the files that had been modified, or added, or deleted between this recent push and what we have previously indexed. Then we can go ahead and just update those documents which have been changed. We don’t have to re-index the entire source code tree every time someone pushes.

Andrew Cholakian: So, you guys only index, I’m assuming, the master branch.

Tim Pease: Correct. It’s only the head of the master branch that you’re going to get in there and still that’s a lot of data, two billion documents, 30 terabytes.

We have that repository document which keeps track of the last indexed commit. If we missed, just happen to miss three commits where those jobs fail, the next commit that comes in, we’re still looking at the diff between the previous commit that we indexed and the one that we’re seeing with this new push.
You do a git diff and you get all the files that have been updated, deleted, or added. You can just say, “Okay, we need to remove these files. We need to add these files, and all that.” It’s self-healing and that’s the approach that we have taken with pretty much all of the architecture.

That all means not all the branches of all the repo would be indexed with that approach.
A global commit message search isn't available for now.
And Tim Pease himself confirms commit messages are not indexed.

This is not intended to directly answer the OP, but I wanted to share some related ideas.

I was very interested in @steveha answer above, which seemed to give an example where duck typing seems to break. On second thought, however, his example suggests that duck typing is hard to conform to, but it does not suggest that str deserves any special handling.

After all, a non-str type (e.g., a user-defined type that maintains some complicated recursive structures) may cause @steveha srepr function to cause an infinite recursion. While this is admittedly rather unlikely, we can't ignore this possibility. Therefore, rather than special-casing str in srepr, we should clarify what we want srepr to do when an infinite recursion results.

It may seem that one reasonable approach is to simply break the recursion in srepr the moment list(arg) == [arg]. This would, in fact, completely solve the problem with str, without any isinstance.

However, a really complicated recursive structure may cause an infinite loop where list(arg) == [arg] never happens. Therefore, while the above check is useful, it's not sufficient. We need something like a hard limit on the recursion depth.

My point is that if you plan to handle arbitrary argument types, handling str via duck typing is far, far easier than handling the more general types you may (theoretically) encounter. So if you feel the need to exclude str instances, you should instead demand that the argument is an instance of one of the few types that you explicitly specify.

I've added a small example with some sample code and an explanation.

When you declare a variable you give it a specific type.

For instance:

int i;
float f;
Customer c;

The above show you some variables, namely i, f, and c. The types are integer, float and a user defined Customer data type. Types such as the above could be for any language, not just JavaScript. However, with JavaScript when you declare a variable you don't explicitly define a type, var x, x could be a number / string / a user defined data type. So what instanceof does is it checks the object to see if it is of the type specified so from above taking the Customer object we could do:

c instanceof Customer; //Returns true as c is just a customer
c instanceof String; //Returns false as c is not a string, it's a customer silly!

Above we've seen that c was declared with the type Customer. We've new'd it and checked whether it is of type Customer or not. Sure is, it returns true. Then still using the Customer object we check if it is a String. Nope, definitely not a String we newed a Customer object not a String object. In this case, it returns false.

It really is that simple!

pip doesn't use http://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/pythonlibs/, it downloads packages from PyPI.

The problem is that you have an unusual architecture; pip cannot find a package for it and there is no source code package.

Unfortunately I think you're on your own. You have to download source code from https://github.com/skvark/opencv-python, install compiler and necessary libraries and compile OpenCV yourself.

I pieced this together from pip install examples as well as from Rikard's answer on another question. The "--pre" argument lets you install non-production versions. The "--no-index" argument avoids searching the PyPI indexes. The "--find-links=." argument searches in the local folder (this can be relative or absolute). I used the "--log-file", "log.txt", and "-vv" arguments for debugging. The "--upgrade" argument lets you install newer versions over older ones.

I also found a good way to uninstall them. This is useful when you have several different Python environments. It's the same basic format, just using "uninstall" instead of "install", with a safety measure to prevent unintended uninstalls:

Use mktemp -d. It creates a temporary directory with a random name and makes sure that file doesn't already exist. You need to remember to delete the directory after using it though.

Don't worry...! Follow these below steps and you will get your signed .apk file. I was also worry about that, but these step get ride me off from the frustration. Steps to sign your application:

1. Export the unsigned package:

Right click on the project in Eclipse -> Android Tools -> Export Unsigned Application Package (like here we export our GoogleDriveApp.apk to Desktop)

Sign the application using your keystore and the jarsigner tool (follow below steps):

Open cmd-->change directory where your "jarsigner.exe" exist (like here in my system it exist at "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_17\bin"

Now enter belwo command in cmd:

The SQL in your SP is wrong. You probably want

Select @code = RecItemCode from Receipt where RecTransaction = @id

In your statement, you are not setting @code, you are trying to use it for the value of RecItemCode. This would explain your NullReferenceException when you try to use the output parameter, because a value is never assigned to it and you're getting a default null.

The other issue is that your SQL statement if rewritten as

Select @code = RecItemCode, RecUsername from Receipt where RecTransaction = @id

It is mixing variable assignment and data retrieval. This highlights a couple of points. If you need the data that is driving @code in addition to other parts of the data, forget the output parameter and just select the data.

If you just need the code, use the first SQL statement I showed you. On the offhand chance you actually need the output and the data, use two different statements

This should assign your value to the output parameter as well as return two columns of data in a row. However, this strikes me as terribly redundant.

If you write your SP as I have shown at the very top, simply invoke cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); and then read the output parameter value.

Another issue with your SP and code. In your SP, you have declared @code as varchar. In your code, you specify the parameter type as Int. Either change your SP or your code to make the types consistent.

Also note: If all you are doing is returning a single value, there's another way to do it that does not involve output parameters at all. You could write

 Select RecItemCode from Receipt where RecTransaction = @id

And then use object obj = cmd.ExecuteScalar(); to get the result, no need for an output parameter in the SP or in your code.

I saw this error in combination with the PageSpeed module enabled. The PageSpeed module has a cache that can be gzip compressed. So apparently what can happen is that content gets double compressed.

In order to rewrite resources, PageSpeed must cache them server-side. Until 1.10.33.0, these resources had been stored uncompressed. To reduce disk usage, decrease server latency, support higher compression levels, and increase server throughput, the HTTPCache can automatically gzip compressable resources as they are stored in the cache. To configure cache compression, set HttpCacheCompressionLevel to values between -1 and 9, with 0 being off, -1 being gzip's default compression, and 9 being maximum compression. The default value is 9, maximum compression.

I solved it by adding this line to my PageSpeed config:

HttpCacheCompressionLevel 0

which disables the compression.

For my case, the exception was raised because I tried to mock a package-access method. When I changed the method access level from package to protected the exception went away. E.g. inside below Java class,

I just learnt this myself the other day: the this keyword defines that method has being an extension of the class that proceeds it. So for your example, MyClass will have a new extension method called Foo (which doesn't accept any parameter and returns an int; it can be used as with any other public method).

Actually in C, you don't have an power operator. You will need to manually run a loop to get the result. Even the exp function just operates in that way only. But if you need to use that function, include the following header

Arrays in C++ cannot change size at runtime. For that purpose, you should use vector<int> instead.

I agree with some comments about NOLOCK hint and especially with those saying "use it when it's appropriate". If the application written poorly and is using concurrency inappropriate way – that may cause the lock escalation. Highly transactional table also are getting locked all the time due to their nature. Having good index coverage won't help with retrieving the data, but setting ISOLATION LEVEL to READ UNCOMMITTED does. Also I believe that using NOLOCK hint is safe in many cases when the nature of changes is predictable. For example – in manufacturing when jobs with travellers are going through different processes with lots of inserts of measurements, you can safely execute query against the finished job with NOLOCK hint and this way avoid collision with other sessions that put PROMOTED or EXCLUSIVE locks on the table/page. The data you access in this case is static, but it may reside in a very transactional table with hundreds of millions of records and thousands updates/inserts per minute. Cheers

A character class in regular expressions, denoted by the [...] syntax, specifies the rules to match a single character in the input. As such, everything you write between the brackets specify how to match a single character.

Your pattern, [01-12] is thus broken down as follows:

• 0 - match the single digit 0
• or, 1-1, match a single digit in the range of 1 through 1
• or, 2, match a single digit 2

So basically all you're matching is 0, 1 or 2.

In order to do the matching you want, matching two digits, ranging from 01-12 as numbers, you need to think about how they will look as text.

You have:

• 01-09 (ie. first digit is 0, second digit is 1-9)
• 10-12 (ie. first digit is 1, second digit is 0-2)

You will then have to write a regular expression for that, which can look like this:

finishAffinity() added in API 16. Use ActivityCompat.finishAffinity() in previous versions. When you will launch any activity using intent and finish the current activity. Now use ActivityCompat.finishAffinity() instead finish(). it will finish all stacked activity below current activity. It works fine for me.

This issue occurs because the Applicationhost.config file for Windows Process Activation Service (WAS) has some tags that are not compatible with the .NET Framework 4.0.

Based on your environment, you have 4 workarounds to solve this issue:

• Updating Applicationhost.config.
• Perform ASP.NET IIS Registration.
• Turn on the Named Pipe Activation feature.
• Remove ServiceModel 3.0 from IIS

No. new Runnable does not create second Thread.

Runnable is posted to Handler. This task runs in the thread, which is associated with Handler.

If Handler is associated with UI Thread, Runnable runs in UI Thread.

If Handler is associated with other HandlerThread, Runnable runs in HandlerThread

To explicitly associate Handler to your MainThread ( UI Thread), write below code.

GCC comes with a compiler runtime library (libgcc) which it uses for (among other things) providing a low-level OS abstraction for multithreading related functionality in the languages it supports. The most relevant example is libstdc++'s C++11 <thread>, <mutex>, and <future>, which do not have a complete implementation when GCC is built with its internal Win32 threading model. MinGW-w64 provides a winpthreads (a pthreads implementation on top of the Win32 multithreading API) which GCC can then link in to enable all the fancy features.

I must stress this option does not forbid you to write any code you want (it has absolutely NO influence on what API you can call in your code). It only reflects what GCC's runtime libraries (libgcc/libstdc++/...) use for their functionality. The caveat quoted by @James has nothing to do with GCC's internal threading model, but rather with Microsoft's CRT implementation.

To summarize:

• posix: enable C++11/C11 multithreading features. Makes libgcc depend on libwinpthreads, so that even if you don't directly call pthreads API, you'll be distributing the winpthreads DLL. There's nothing wrong with distributing one more DLL with your application.
• win32: No C++11 multithreading features.

Neither have influence on any user code calling Win32 APIs or pthreads APIs. You can always use both.

global index_add_counter

You are not defining, just declaring so it's like saying there is a global index_add_counter variable elsewhere, and not create a global called index_add_counter. As you name don't exists, Python is telling you it can not import that name. So you need to simply remove the global keyword and initialize your variable:
