The thing about collations is that although the database has its own collation, every table, and every column can have its own collation. If not specified it takes the default of its parent object, but can be different.

When you change collation of the database, it will be the new default for all new tables and columns, but it doesn't change the collation of existing objects inside the database. You have to go and change manually the collation of every table and column.

Luckily there are scripts available on the internet that can do the job. I am not going to recommend any as I haven't tried them but here are few links:

If you need to have different collation on two objects or can't change collations - you can still JOIN between them using COLLATE command, and choosing the collation you want for join.

SELECT * FROM A JOIN B ON A.Text = B.Text COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_AS 

or using default database collation:

SELECT * FROM A JOIN B ON A.Text = B.Text COLLATE DATABASE_DEFAULT

You can call more than one target goal with maven. mvn clean install calls clean first, then install. You have to clean manually, because clean is not a standard target goal and not executed automatically on every install.

clean removes the target folder - it deletes all class files, the java docs, the jars, reports and so on. If you don't clean, then maven will only "do what has to be done", like it won't compile classes when the corresponding source files haven't changed (in brief).

It's somewhat weird, but it seems that Webkit, at least in newest stable version of Chrome, supports Microsoft's zoom property. The good news is that its behaviour is closer to what you want.

Unfortunately DOM clientWidth and similar properties still return the original values as if the image was not resized.

I ran into this while working on a .NET console app to read the PATH environment variable, and found that using System.Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable will expand the environment variables automatically.

I didn't want that to happen...that means folders in the path such as '%SystemRoot%\system32' were being re-written as 'C:\Windows\system32'. To get the un-expanded path, I had to use this:

Worked like a charm for me.

I came up with a solution that I call “BatchImageDownloader” that has served well. Here’s a quick summary of how it is used:

• Keep a global HashMap (ideally in your Application object) that serves as a cache of drawable objects

• In the getView() method of your List Adapter, use the drawable from the cache for populating the ImageView in your list item.

• Create an instance of BatchImageDownloader, passing in your ListView Adapter

• Call addUrl() for each image that needs to be fetched/displayed

• When done, call execute(). This fires an AsyncTask that fetches all images, and as each image is fetched and added to the cache, it refreshes your ListView (by calling notifyDataSetChanged())

The approach has the following advantages:

• A single worker thread is used to fetch all images, rather than a separate thread for each image/view
• Once an image is fetched, all list items that use it are instantly updated
• The code does not access the Image View in your List Item directly – instead it triggers a listview refresh by calling notifyDataSetChanged() on your List Adapter, and the getView() implementation simply pulls the drawable from the cache and displays it. This avoids the problems associated with recycled View objects used in ListViews.

I'd just like to add a correction here for the future readers of this thread. This particular nuance has escaped my understanding for a long time so I want to make sure none of you make the same mistakes:

System.exit() does not kill your app if you have more than one activity on the stack. What actually happens is that the process is killed and immediately restarted with one fewer activity on the stack. This is also what happens when your app is killed by the Force Close dialog, or even when you try to kill the process from DDMS. This is a fact that is entirely undocumented, to my knowledge.

The short answer is, if you want to exit your application, you've got to keep track of all activities in your stack and finish() ALL of them when the user wants to exit (and no, there is no way to iterate through the Activity stack, so you have to manage all of this yourself). Even this does not actually kill the process or any dangling references you may have. It simply finishes the activities. Also, I'm not sure whether Process.killProcess(Process.myPid()) works any better; I haven't tested it.

If, on the other hand, it is okay for you to have activities remaining in your stack, there is another method which makes things super easy for you: Activity.moveTaskToBack(true) will simply background your process and show the home screen.

The long answer involves explanation of the philosophy behind this behavior. The philosophy is born out of a number of assumptions:

1. First of all, this only happens when your app is in the foreground. If it is in the background the process will terminate just fine. However, if it is in the foreground, the OS assumes that the user wants to keep doing whatever he/she was doing. (If you are trying to kill the process from DDMS, you should hit the home button first, and then kill it)
2. It also assumes that each activity is independent of all the other activities. This is often true, for example in the case that your app launches the Browser Activity, which is entirely separate and was not written by you. The Browser Activity may or may not be created on the same Task, depending on its manifest attributes.
3. It assumes that each of your activities is completely self-reliant and can be killed/restored in a moment's notice. (I rather dislike this particular assumption, since my app has many activities which rely on a large amount of cached data, too large to be efficiently serialized during onSaveInstanceState, but whaddya gonna do?) For most well-written Android apps this should be true, since you never know when your app is going to be killed off in the background.
4. The final factor is not so much an assumption, but rather a limitation of the OS: killing the app explicitly is the same as the app crashing, and also the same as Android killing the app to reclaim memory. This culminates in our coup de grace: since Android can't tell if the app exited or crashed or was killed in the background, it assumes the user wants to return where they left off, and so the ActivityManager restarts the process.

When you think about it, this is appropriate for the platform. First, this is exactly what happens when the process is killed in the background and the user comes back to it, so it needs to be restarted where it left off. Second, this is what happens when the app crashes and presents the dreaded Force Close dialog.

Say I want my users to be able to take a picture and upload it. I launch the Camera Activity from my activity, and ask it to return an image. The Camera is pushed onto the top of my current Task (rather than being created in its own Task). If the Camera has an error and it crashes, should that result in the whole app crashing? From the standpoint of the user, only the Camera failed, and they should be returned to their previous activity. So it just restarts the process with all the same Activities in the stack, minus the Camera. Since your Activities should be designed so that they can be killed and restored at the drop of a hat, this shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, not all apps can be designed that way, so it is a problem for many of us, no matter what Romain Guy or anyone else tells you. So, we need to use workarounds.

So, my closing advice:

• Don't try to kill the process. Either call finish() on all activities or call moveTaskToBack(true).
• If your process crashes or gets killed, and if, like me, you need the data that was in memory which is now lost, you'll need to return to the root activity. To do this, you should call startActivity() with an Intent that contains the Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_CLEAR_TOP flag.
• If you want to kill your app from the Eclipse DDMS perspective, it had better not be in the foreground, or it will restart itself. You should press the Home button first, and then kill the process.

You do not need to use substring at all since your format doesn't hold that info.

I actually had to add a .env file to my project and then copy the contents of .env.example so that the key:generate would work. Not sure why a .env file was not created when I started the project.

I'd like to add a few more caveats:

Let's use a real-world example I faced today: renaming a model from 'Merchant' to 'Business.'

• Don't forget to change the names of dependent tables and models in the same migration. I changed my Merchant and MerchantStat models to Business and BusinessStat at the same time. Otherwise I'd have had to do way too much picking and choosing when performing search-and-replace.
• For any other models that depend on your model via foreign keys, the other tables' foreign-key column names will be derived from your original model name. So you'll also want to do some rename_column calls on these dependent models. For instance, I had to rename the 'merchant_id' column to 'business_id' in various join tables (for has_and_belongs_to_many relationship) and other dependent tables (for normal has_one and has_many relationships). Otherwise I would have ended up with columns like 'business_stat.merchant_id' pointing to 'business.id'. Here's a good answer about doing column renames.
• When grepping, remember to search for singular, plural, capitalized, lowercase, and even UPPERCASE (which may occur in comments) versions of your strings.
• It's best to search for plural versions first, then singular. That way if you have an irregular plural - such as in my merchants :: businesses example - you can get all the irregular plurals correct. Otherwise you may end up with, for example, 'businesss' (3 s's) as an intermediate state, resulting in yet more search-and-replace.
• Don't blindly replace every occurrence. If your model names collide with common programming terms, with values in other models, or with textual content in your views, you may end up being too over-eager. In my example, I wanted to change my model name to 'Business' but still refer to them as 'merchants' in the content in my UI. I also had a 'merchant' role for my users in CanCan - it was the confusion between the merchant role and the Merchant model that caused me to rename the model in the first place.

Error 0x80040154 is COM's REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG, which means "Class not registered". Basically, a COM class is not declared in the installation registry.

If you get this error when trying to register a DLL, it may be possible that the registration code for this DLL is trying to instantiate another COM server (DLL or EXE) which is missing or not registered on this installation.

If you don't have access to the original DLL source, I would suggest to use SysInternal's Process Monitor tool to track COM registry lookups (there use to be a more simple RegMon tool but it may not work any more).

You should put a filter on the working process (here: Regsvr32.exe) to only capture what's interesting. Then you should look for queries on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\[a progid, a string] that fail (with the NAME_NOT_FOUND error for example), or queries on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\[a guid] that fail.

PS: Unfortunately, there may be many thing that seem to fail on a perfectly working Windows system, so you'll have to study all errors carefully. Good luck :-)

I've found out that it is because Eclipse couldn't find all include headers.

Easy fix:

This simple and quick solution might fix your problem (for example, when the Eclipse project was moved to a different location on disk, then imported again in Eclipse), if not, jump to the next section (Detailed fix).

1. Go to project > properties > C/C++ Build > Tool Chain Editor
2. Change the Current toolchain to any other value, click Apply
3. Set the Current toolchain to the original value, click Apply
4. Compile your project

2. Remove .cproject file and the ".settings" folder

I installed python 3.9 and i couldn't install tensorflow with pip.

And then I uninstalled 3.9, then installed 3.8.7 and success... the max version that tensorflow is supported by is 3.8.x (in 2021) so, check your python version is compatible or not with current tensorflow.

This question actually have more deep nature and good understanding of the multithreading concepts in general will provide you insight about this topic. In fact there is no any language or any operating system which provide you facilities for asynchronous abruptly thread termination without warning to not use them. And all these execution environments strongly advise developer or even require build multithreading applications on the base of cooperative or synchronous thread termination. The reason for this common decisions and advices is that all they are built on the base of the same general multithreading model.

Let's compare multiprocessing and multithreading concepts to better understand advantages and limitations of the second one.

Multiprocessing assumes splitting of the entire execution environment into set of completely isolated processes controlled by the operating system. Process incorporates and isolates execution environment state including local memory of the process and data inside it and all system resources like files, sockets, synchronization objects. Isolation is a critically important characteristic of the process, because it limits the faults propagation by the process borders. In other words, no one process can affects the consistency of any another process in the system. The same is true for the process behaviour but in the less restricted and more blur way. In such environment any process can be killed in any "arbitrary" moment, because firstly each process is isolated, secondly, operating system have full knowledges about all resources used by process and can release all of them without leaking, and finally process will be killed by OS not really in arbitrary moment, but in the number of well defined points where the state of the process is well known.

In contrast, multithreading assumes running multiple threads in the same process. But all this threads are share the same isolation box and there is no any operating system control of the internal state of the process. As a result any thread is able to change global process state as well as corrupt it. At the same moment the points in which the state of the thread is well known to be safe to kill a thread completely depends on the application logic and are not known neither for operating system nor for programming language runtime. As a result thread termination at the arbitrary moment means killing it at arbitrary point of its execution path and can easily lead to the process-wide data corruption, memory and handles leakage, threads leakage and spinlocks and other intra-process synchronization primitives leaved in the closed state preventing other threads in doing progress.

Due to this the common approach is to force developers to implement synchronous or cooperative thread termination, where the one thread can request other thread termination and other thread in well-defined point can check this request and start the shutdown procedure from the well-defined state with releasing of all global system-wide resources and local process-wide resources in the safe and consistent way.

It would appear that you should

• Create a struct MD5context and pass it to MD5Init to get it into a proper starting condition
• Call MD5Update with the context and your data
• Call MD5Final to get the resulting hash

These three functions and the structure definition make a nice abstract interface to the hash algorithm. I'm not sure why you were shown the core transform function in that header as you probably shouldn't interact with it directly.

The author could have done a little more implementation hiding by making the structure an abstract type, but then you would have been forced to allocate the structure on the heap every time (as opposed to now where you can put it on the stack if you so desire).

This is an RDBMS issue, not just SQL Server, and the behavior can be very interesting. For one, while it is common for primary keys to be automatically (uniquely) indexed, it is NOT absolute. There are times when it is essential that a primary key NOT be uniquely indexed.

In most RDBMSs, a unique index will automatically be created on a primary key if one does not already exist. Therefore, you can create your own index on the primary key column before declaring it as a primary key, then that index will be used (if acceptable) by the database engine when you apply the primary key declaration. Often, you can create the primary key and allow its default unique index to be created, then create your own alternate index on that column, then drop the default index.

Now for the fun part--when do you NOT want a unique primary key index? You don't want one, and can't tolerate one, when your table acquires enough data (rows) to make the maintenance of the index too expensive. This varies based on the hardware, the RDBMS engine, characteristics of the table and the database, and the system load. However, it typically begins to manifest once a table reaches a few million rows.

The essential issue is that each insert of a row or update of the primary key column results in an index scan to ensure uniqueness. That unique index scan (or its equivalent in whichever RDBMS) becomes much more expensive as the table grows, until it dominates the performance of the table.

I have dealt with this issue many times with tables as large as two billion rows, 8 TBs of storage, and forty million row inserts per day. I was tasked to redesign the system involved, which included dropping the unique primary key index practically as step one. Indeed, dropping that index was necessary in production simply to recover from an outage, before we even got close to a redesign. That redesign included finding other ways to ensure the uniqueness of the primary key and to provide quick access to the data.

This worked for me when value came from a TextBox:

Maybe it's because the proxy do not stand for https. What I do is clear the proxy content of ~/.npmrc, or use

    npm config delete proxy

For finding a simple string, using the indexOf() method and using regex is pretty much the same: http://jsperf.com/substring - so choose which ever one that seems easier to write.

You need to add them all separately. Alternatively, if you really need to just specify a directory, you can unjar everything into one dir and add that to your classpath. I don't recommend this approach however as you risk bizarre problems in classpath versioning and unmanagability.

The git man page specifies some variables (see "The git Repository") that seem like they should help, but I can't make them work right (with my repository in /tmp/ggg2):

It's perfectly safe as long as you always access the values through the struct via the . (dot) or -> notation.

What's not safe is taking the pointer of unaligned data and then accessing it without taking that into account.

Also, even though each item in the struct is known to be unaligned, it's known to be unaligned in a particular way, so the struct as a whole must be aligned as the compiler expects or there'll be trouble (on some platforms, or in future if a new way is invented to optimise unaligned accesses).

SQL Server drops and recreates the tables only if you:

• Add a new column
• Change the Allow Nulls setting for a column
• Change the column order in the table
• Change the column data type

Using ALTER is safer, as in case the metadata is lost while you re-create the table, your data will be lost.

Vendor bundle.

You should use CommonsChunkPlugin for that. in the configuration you specify the name of the chunk (e.g. vendor), and file name that will be generated (vendor.js).

Had the same problem and solved it with ProvidePlugin. here you are not defining global object but kind of shurtcuts to modules. i.e. you can configure it like that:

Either make your friends download the runtime DLL (@Kay's answer), or compile the app with static linking.

In visual studio, go to Project tab -> properties - > configuration properties -> C/C++ -> Code Generation on runtime library choose /MTd for debug mode and /MT for release mode.

This will cause the compiler to embed the runtime into the app. The executable will be significantly bigger, but it will run without any need of runtime dlls.

You need to ensure that any code that modifies the HTTP headers is executed before the headers are sent. This includes statements like session_start(). The headers will be sent automatically when any HTML is output.

Your problem here is that you're sending the HTML ouput at the top of your page before you've executed any PHP at all.

Move the session_start() to the top of your document :

I'll answer your question with an example. Suppose we had a Math class with a static method add. You would call this method like so:

Using properties like ${project.groupId} won't work there. If you specify the parent in this way, then you can inherit the groupId and version in the child pom. Hence, you only need to specify the artifactId in the child pom.

One way to do this if dealing with sorted range index is:

This approach has the benefits of (1) being a single line, (2) not requiring a utility function, and most importantly (3) not actually changing any of the data in the dataframe.

d stands for Declaration Files:

When a TypeScript script gets compiled there is an option to generate a declaration file (with the extension .d.ts) that functions as an interface to the components in the compiled JavaScript. However, I think it's worth explaining why full datetime objects are required. Consider what would happen if I added 2 hours to 11pm. What's the correct behavior? An exception, because you can't have a time larger than 11:59pm? Should it wrap back around?

Different programmers will expect different things, so whichever result they picked would surprise a lot of people. Worse yet, programmers would write code that worked just fine when they tested it initially, and then have it break later by doing something unexpected. This is very bad, which is why you're not allowed to add timedelta objects to time objects.

I'm sure - here is not "best practice", but it is works without "Neither BindingResult nor plain target object for bean name available as request attribute".

The code that you looked at is not ideal. You should either:

1. Catch the exception and handle it; in which case the throws is unnecesary.

2. Remove the try/catch; in which case the Exception will be handled by a calling method.

3. Catch the exception, possibly perform some action and then rethrow the exception (not just the message)

You can control the data returned from SQL database by ordering the data returned:

orderby [Name]

If you execute the SQL query from your application, order the data returned. For example, make a function that calls the procedure or executes the SQL and give it a parameter that gets the orderby criteria. Because if you ordered the data returned from database it will consume time but order it since it's executed as you say that you want it to be ordered not from the UI you want it to be ordered in the run time so order it when executing the SQL query.

If you have access to the Java 8 Comparable API, Comparable.comparingToInt() may be of use. (See Java 8 Comparable Documentation).

For example, a Comparator<Dog> to sort Dog instances descending by age could be created with the following:

The function take a lambda mapping T to Integer, and creates an ascending comparator. The chained function .reversed() turns the ascending comparator into a descending comparator.

Note: while this may not be useful for most versions of Android out there, I came across this question while searching for similar information for a non-Android Java application. I thought it might be useful to others in the same spot to see what I ended up settling on.

You'd use a self-join on a table that "refers" to itself - e.g. a table of employees where managerid is a foreign-key to employeeid on that same table.

To some extent Fortran has been designed keeping compiler optimization in mind. The language supports whole array operations where compilers can exploit parallelism (specially on multi-core processors). For example,

Moreover statements such as FORALL, PURE & ELEMENTAL procedures etc. further help to optimize code. Even pointers in Fortran arent as flexible as C because of this simple reason.

The upcoming Fortran standard (2008) has co-arrays which allows you to easily write parallel code. G95 (open source) and compilers from CRAY already support it.

So yes Fortran can be fast simply because compilers can optimize/parallelize it better than C/C++. But again like everything else in life there are good compilers and bad compilers.

If you return an object by value, the compiler often optimizes this so it doesn't get constructed twice, since it's superfluous to construct it in the function as a temporary and then copy it. This is called return value optimization: the created object will be moved instead of being copied.

Adding my scenario. Just in case someone has similar problem and not able to identify ACTUAL issue.

I was using vue splitpanes.

Previously it required only "Splitpanes", in latest version, they made another "Pane" component (as children of splitpanes).

Now thing is, if you don't register "Pane" component in latest version of splitpanes, it was showing error for "Splitpanes". as below.

[Vue warn]: Unknown custom element: <splitpanes> - did you register the component correctly? For recursive components, make sure to provide the "name" option.

Your column "hundred" seems to be defined as primary key and therefore must be unique which is not the case. The problem isn't with, it is with your data.

I suggest you insert an id as serial type to handly the primary key

Why don't you simply move the code you have in the ApiController calls - DocumentsController to a class that you can call from both your HomeController and DocumentController. Pull this out into a class you call from both controllers. This stuff in your question:

Spring framework itself handles json conversion when controller is annotated properly.

For eg:

Here spring internally converts the UpdateResponse object to corresponding json string and returns it. In order to do it spring internally uses Jackson library.

If you require a json representation of a model object anywhere apart from controller then you can use objectMapper provided by jackson. Model should be properly annotated for this to work.

Use double quotes instead of single quotes

e.g. echo "$foo" as opposed to echo '$foo'

If you configured your pipeline to accept parameters using the Build with Parameters option, those parameters are accessible as Groovy variables of the same name. See Here.

You can drop the semicolon (;), drop the parentheses (( and )), and use single quotes (') instead of double (") if you do not need to perform variable substitutions. See Here. This clued me into my problem, though I've found that only the double (") is required to make it work.

Are you calling the web service from client script or on the server side?

You may find sending a content type header to the server will help, e.g.

'application/json; charset=utf-8'

On the client side, I use prototype client side library and there is a contentType parameter when making an Ajax call where you can specify this. I think jQuery has a getJSON method.

If you are running cmake to generate SomeLib yourself (say as part of a superbuild), consider using the User Package Registry. This requires no hard-coded paths and is cross-platform. On Windows (including mingw64) it works via the registry. If you examine how the list of installation prefixes is constructed by the CONFIG mode of the find_packages() command, you'll see that the User Package Registry is one of elements.

Brief how-to

Associate the targets of SomeLib that you need outside of that external project by adding them to an export set in the CMakeLists.txt files where they are created:

Issue your find_package(SomeLib REQUIRED) commmand in the CMakeLists.txt file of the project that depends on SomeLib without the "non-cross-platform hard coded paths" tinkering with the CMAKE_MODULE_PATH.

When it might be the right approach

This approach is probably best suited for situations where you'll never use your software downstream of the build directory (e.g., you're cross-compiling and never install anything on your machine, or you're building the software just to run tests in the build directory), since it creates a link to a .cmake file in your "build" output, which may be temporary.

But if you're never actually installing SomeLib in your workflow, calling EXPORT(PACKAGE <name>) allows you to avoid the hard-coded path. And, of course, if you are installing SomeLib, you probably know your platform, CMAKE_MODULE_PATH, etc, so @user2288008's excellent answer will have you covered.

For what it's worth, I had this problem - and the cause was invalid DWARF 3 info in the binary in the selected project (which didn't have any runnable binaries).

The way it work was something like this: I had two projects Main and Library. Main depended on the Library project and the former had an executable, while the latter just produced a static library (that Main linked against).

My run option was set to "Run/Debug -> Launch" setting was set to "launch current, otherwise last" as follows (see bottom right):

If I had the Main project selected, everything would work fine: it would launch the main project. If I had the Library project selected¹ it would fail with the error message given by the OP. The reason seemed to be this: since I had the Library project selected, the PE scanner would scan the binary files in the project to see if any were launchable, and because scanning was failing due to this bug the error message popped up before it ever got to "Launch the previously launched application".

I could work around it by:

1. Making sure the project I wanted to launch was selected, or ...
2. Changing compilers to one that made DWARF info that Eclipse could parse without failure, or ...
3. Selecting "Always launch the previously launched application" in the Run/Debug settings - although it might not be your preferred mode of operation.

¹ I wouldn't usually select the project directly, of course, it would be indirectly selected because I was working in one of the source files it contained.

Let's start by describing DOM elements' event handling.

DOM node event handling

First of all you wouldn't want to work with DOM node directly. Instead you probably would want to utilize Ext.Element interface. For the purpose of assigning event handlers, Element.addListener and Element.on (these are equivalent) were created. So, for example, if we have html:

Widgets event handling

Widgets event handling is pretty much similar to DOM nodes event handling.

Preventing event bubbling

To prevent bubbling you can return false or use Ext.EventObject.preventDefault(). In order to prevent browser's default action use Ext.EventObject.stopPropagation().

For example let's assign click event handler to our button. And if not left button was clicked prevent default browser action:

This is probably too late, but I had a similar problem with dates that I wanted entered into cells from a text variable. Inevitably, it converted my variable text value to a date. What I finally had to do was concatentate a ' to the string variable and then put it in the cell like this:

Task.WaitAll blocks the current thread until everything has completed.

Task.WhenAll returns a task which represents the action of waiting until everything has completed.

It isn't the most obvious workflow. You first have to click "Load preferences from a custom folder or URL". Select the folder you want them saved in; I keep an appsync folder in Dropbox for these sorts of things. Once you have selected the folder, you can click "Save settings to Folder". We are using String only as a pure example, but you can add any other object, but the main point is that you use an object not a primitive type. Each primitive data type has their own primitive wrapper class, see link for list of primitive data type's wrapper class.

I have posted some links to explain the difference between the two, but here are a list of primitive types

• byte
• short
• char
• int
• long
• boolean
• double
• float

Which means, you are not allowed to make an ArrayList of integer's like so:

I was having the same error message for a mistake I made: Make sure you use a correct s3 uri such as: s3://my-bucket-name/

(If my-bucket-name is at the root of your aws s3 obviously)

If your bucket is really in the us-east-1 region of AWS -- which the S3 documentation formerly referred to as the "US Standard" region, but was subsequently officially renamed to the "U.S. East (N. Virginia) Region" -- then http://s3-us-east-1.amazonaws.com/bucket/ is not the correct form for that endpoint, even though it looks like it should be. The correct format for that region is either http://s3.amazonaws.com/bucket/ or http://s3-external-1.amazonaws.com/bucket/.¹

The format you're using is applicable to all the other S3 regions, but not US Standard US East (N. Virginia) [us-east-1].

S3 now also has dual-stack endpoint hostnames for the REST endpoints, and unlike the original endpoint hostnames, the names of these have a consistent format across regions, for example s3.dualstack.us-east-1.amazonaws.com. These endpoints support both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity and DNS resolution, but are otherwise functionally equivalent to the existing REST endpoints.

If your permissions and configuration are set up such that the web site endpoint works, then the REST endpoint should work, too.

However... the two endpoints do not offer the same functionality.

Roughly speaking, the REST endpoint is better-suited for machine access and the web site endpoint is better suited for human access, since the web site endpoint offers friendly error messages, index documents, and redirects, while the REST endpoint doesn't. Also you need to consider the TIMED_WAIT state. Once a TCP socket is closed (by default) the port remains occupied in TIMED_WAIT status for 2 minutes. This value is tunable. This will also "run you out of sockets" even though they are closed.

Run netstat to see the TIMED_WAIT stuff in action.

P.S. The reason for TIMED_WAIT is to handle the case of packets arriving after the socket is closed. This can happen because packets are delayed or the other side just doesn't know that the socket has been closed yet. This allows the OS to silently drop those packets without a chance of "infecting" a different, unrelated socket connection.

When you reference Range like that it's called an unqualified reference because you don't specifically say which sheet the range is on. Unqualified references are handled by the "_Global" object that determines which object you're referring to and that depends on where your code is.

If you're in a standard module, unqualified Range will refer to Activesheet. If you're in a sheet's class module, unqualified Range will refer to that sheet.

inputTemplateContent is a variable that contains a reference to a range, probably a named range. If you look at the RefersTo property of that named range, it likely points to a sheet other than the Activesheet at the time the code executes.

The best way to fix this is to avoid unqualified Range references by specifying the sheet. Like

The quick start guide that keyboardsurfer references will work if you need to get your project to build properly, but it leaves you with a dummy google-play-services project in your Eclipse workspace, and it doesn't properly link Eclipse to the Google Play Services Javadocs.

Here's what I did instead:

1. Install the Google Play Services SDK using the instructions in the Android Maps V2 Quick Start referenced above, or the instructions to Setup Google Play Services SDK, but do not follow the instructions to add Google Play Services into your project.

2. Right click on the project in the Package Explorer, select Properties to open the properties for your project.

3. (Only if you already followed the instructions in the quick start guide!) Remove the dependency on the google-play-services project:

   • Click on the Android category and remove the reference to the google-play-services project.

   • Click on the Java Build Path category, then the Projects tab and remove the reference to the google-play-services project.

4. Click on the Java Build Path category, then the Libraries tab.

5. Click Add External JARs... and select the google-play-services.jar file. This should be in [Your ADT directory]\sdk\extras\google\google_play_services\libproject\google-play-services_lib\libs.

6. Click on the arrow next to the new google-play-services.jar entry, and select the Javadoc Location item.

For me I removed whole data folder from xampp\mysql\ and pasted data folder of previous one here which solved my problem...

Stream: In laymen terms stream is data , most generic stream is binary representation of data.

Input Stream : If you are reading data from a file or any other source , stream used is input stream. In a simpler terms input stream acts as a channel to read data.

Output Stream : If you want to read and process data from a source (file etc) you first need to save the data , the mean to store data is output stream .

I have noticed some of the other answers here use a bare clone and then mirror push to the new repository, however this does not work for me and when I open the new repository after that, the files look mixed up and not as I expect.

Here is a solution that definitely works for copying the files, although it does not preserve the original repository's revision history.

1. git clone the repository onto your local machine.
2. cd into the project directory and then run rm -rf .git to remove all the old git metadata including commit history, etc.
3. Initialize a fresh git repository by running git init.
4. Run git add . ; git commit -am "Initial commit" - Of course you can call this commit what you want.
5. Set the origin to your new repository git remote add origin https://github.com/user/repo-name (replace the url with the url to your new repository)
6. Push it to your new repository with git push origin master.

the mime type might not be text/csv some systems can read/save them different. (for example sometimes IE sends .csv files as application/vnd.ms-excel) so you best bet would be to build an array of allowed values and test against that, then find all possible values to test against.

if you wished you could add a further check if mime is returned as text/plain you could run a preg_match to make sure it has enough commas in it to be a csv.

With very large JavaScript applications, programmers are using more encapsulation of code to avoid polluting the global scope. And to make a function available to the onClick action in an HTML element, it has to be in the global scope.

You may have seen JS files that look like this...

These are Immediately Invoked Function Expressions (IIFEs) and any function declared within them will only exist within their internal scope.

If you declare function doSomething(){} within an IIFE, then make doSomething() an element's onClick action in your HTML page, you'll get an error.

If, on the other hand, you create an eventListener for that element within that IIFE and call doSomething() when the listener detects a click event, you're good because the listener and doSomething() share the IIFE's scope.

For little web apps with a minimal amount of code, it doesn't matter. But if you aspire to write large, maintainable codebases, onclick="" is a habit that you should work to avoid.
