Will execute after the page along with all its contents are done loading. This means that all images, CSS (and content defined by CSS like custom fonts and images), scripts, etc. are all loaded. This happens event fires when your browser's "Stop" -icon becomes gray, so to speak. This is very useful to detect when the document along with all its contents are loaded.

$(document).ready();

This on the other hand will fire as soon as the web browser is capable of running your JavaScript, which happens after the parser is done with the DOM. This is useful if you want to execute JavaScript as soon as possible.

$(window).unload();

This event will be fired when you are navigating off the page. That could be Refresh/F5, pressing the previous page button, navigating to another website or closing the entire tab/window.

To sum up, ready() will be fired before load(), and unload() will be the last to be fired.

I recently felt like I had to do this too, but then found another way which possibly makes my code look neater, and uses better OOP.

I have many sibling classes that each implement a certain method doSomething(). In order to access that method, I would have to have an instance of that class first, but I created a superclass for all my sibling classes and now I can access the method from the superclass.

Below I show two ways alternative ways to "dynamic casting".

From the documentation:

/is Includes the same files. /it Includes "tweaked" files.

"Same files" means files that are identical (name, size, times, attributes). "Tweaked files" means files that have the same name, size, and times, but different attributes.

This answer on Super User has a good explanation of what kind of files the selection parameters match.

With that said, I could reproduce the behavior you describe, but from my understanding of the documentation and the output robocopy generated in my tests I would consider this a bug.

The file is listed as copied, and since it becomes a same file after the first robocopy run at least the times are synced. However, even though seven bytes have been copied according to the output no data was actually written to the destination file in both cases despite the data flag being set (via /copyall). The behavior also doesn't change if the data flag is set explicitly (/copy:d).

I had to modify the last write time to get robocopy to actually synchronize the data.

Submitting the value of a disabled input field

I know this is old but I just ran into this problem and none of the answers are suitable. nickf's solution works but it requires javascript. The best way is to disable the field and still pass the value is to use a hidden input field to pass the value to the form. For example,

This way the value is passed but the user sees the greyed out field. The readonly attribute does not gray it out.

The 487 Response indicates that the previous request was terminated by user/application action. The most common occurrence is when the CANCEL happens as explained above. But it is also not limited to CANCEL. There are other cases where such responses can be relevant. So it depends on where you are seeing this behavior and whether its a user or application action that caused it.

15.1.2 UAS Behavior==> BYE Handling in RFC 3261

The UAS MUST still respond to any pending requests received for that dialog. It is RECOMMENDED that a 487 (Request Terminated) response be generated to those pending requests.

For Celery 2.x and 3.x:

When using worker with -Q parameter to define queues, for example

celery worker -Q queue1,queue2,queue3

then celery purge will not work, because you cannot pass the queue params to it. It will only delete the default queue. The solution is to start your workers with --purge parameter like this:

celery worker -Q queue1,queue2,queue3 --purge

This will however run the worker.

Other option is to use the amqp subcommand of celery

celery amqp queue.delete queue1
celery amqp queue.delete queue2
celery amqp queue.delete queue3

How to implement band-pass Butterworth filter with Scipy.signal.butter

For a bandpass filter, ws is a tuple containing the lower and upper corner frequencies. These represent the digital frequency where the filter response is 3 dB less than the passband.

wp is a tuple containing the stop band digital frequencies. They represent the location where the maximum attenuation begins.

gpass is the maximum attenutation in the passband in dB while gstop is the attentuation in the stopbands.

Say, for example, you wanted to design a filter for a sampling rate of 8000 samples/sec having corner frequencies of 300 and 3100 Hz. The Nyquist frequency is the sample rate divided by two, or in this example, 4000 Hz. The equivalent digital frequency is 1.0. The two corner frequencies are then 300/4000 and 3100/4000.

Now lets say you wanted the stopbands to be down 30 dB +/- 100 Hz from the corner frequencies. Thus, your stopbands would start at 200 and 3200 Hz resulting in the digital frequencies of 200/4000 and 3200/4000.

To create your filter, you'd call buttord as

Objective-C: Reading a file line by line

The appropriate way to read text files in Cocoa/Objective-C is documented in Apple's String programming guide. The section for reading and writing files should be just what you're after. PS: What's a "line"? Two sections of a string separated by "\n"? Or "\r"? Or "\r\n"? Or maybe you're actually after paragraphs? The previously mentioned guide also includes a section on splitting a string into lines or paragraphs. (This section is called "Paragraphs and Line Breaks", and is linked to in the left-hand-side menu of the page I pointed to above. Unfortunately this site doesn't allow me to post more than one URL as I'm not a trustworthy user yet.)

To paraphrase Knuth: premature optimisation is the root of all evil. Don't simply assume that "reading the whole file into memory" is slow. Have you benchmarked it? Do you know that it actually reads the whole file into memory? Maybe it simply returns a proxy object and keeps reading behind the scenes as you consume the string? (Disclaimer: I have no idea if NSString actually does this. It conceivably could.) The point is: first go with the documented way of doing things. Then, if benchmarks show that this doesn't have the performance you desire, optimise.

The MOST important "test" is if a POST works with a payload. This is what will expose "double read" issues.

One thing I find WinSCP does well that I cannot do easily with Ubuntu tools is tunneling to a secondary machine. This is done with one with one connection setting in WinSCP. While I can use the native file browsers in Ubuntu (11.11) to reach any machine, I cannot easily tunnel thru an intermediate machine to reach a third one. I suspect it is because I do not well understand how to set up tunneling. I am toying with gSTM, but there is little documentation, and I suspect it is for setting up local tunnels, not remote ones. In any case it is not as dead simple as WinSCP made it. This is no anwser, but perhaps it highlights a critical feature of WinSCP that suggestions for alternatives should address.

No, there is no way to create an abstract class in Objective-C.

You can mock an abstract class - by making the methods/ selectors call doesNotRecognizeSelector: and therefore raise an exception making the class unusable.

If you have hashes '#' in your URL, all the solutions here do not work. This is the only solution that worked for me.

Mac OS X includes Developer Tools, a developing environment for making Macintosh applications. However, if someone wants to study programming using C, Xcode is too big and too complicated for beginners, to write a small sample program. TryC is very suitable for beginners.

You don't need to launch a huge Xcode application, or type unfamiliar commands in Terminal. Using TryC, you can write, compile and run a C, C++ and Ruby program just like TextEdit. It's only available to compile one source code file but it's enough for trying sample programs.

Build Custom reports thru queries in Hive

Architecture Options

I benchmarked the following options:

Hive+HDFS
Hive+HBase - queries were too slow so I dumped this option

Design

Daily log Files were transported to HDFS
MR jobs parsed these log files and output files in HDFS
Create Hive tables with partitions and locations pointing to HDFS locations
Create Hive query scripts (call it HQL if you like as diff from SQL) that in turn ran MR jobs in the background and generated aggregation data
Put all these steps into an Oozie workflow - scheduled with Daily Oozie Coordinator

Summary

HBase is like a Map. If you know the key, you can instantly get the value. But if you want to know how many integer keys in Hbase are between 1000000 and 2000000 that is not suitable for Hbase alone.

If you have data that needs to be aggregated, rolled up, analyzed across rows then consider Hive.

You can use dateutil.parser.parse (install with python -m pip install python-dateutil) to parse strings into datetime objects.

dateutil.parser.parse will attempt to guess the format of your string, if you know the exact format in advance then you can use datetime.strptime which you supply a format string to (see Brent Washburne's answer).

Since the W3C spec indicates multiple submit buttons are valid, but omits guidance as to how the user-agent should handle them, the browser manufacturers are left to implement as they see fit. I've found they'll either submit the first submit button in the form, or submit the next submit button after the form field that currently has focus.

Unfortunately, simply adding a style of display: none; won't work because the W3C spec indicates any hidden element should be excluded from user interactions. So hide it in plain sight instead!

Above is an example of the solution I ended up putting into production. Hitting the enter key triggers the default form submission is behavior as expected, even when other non-default values are present and precede the default submit button in the DOM. Bonus for mouse/keyboard interaction with explicit user inputs while avoiding javascript handlers.

Note: tabbing through the form will not display focus for any visual element yet will still cause the invisible button to be selected. To avoid this issue, simply set tabindex attributes accordingly and omit a tabindex attribute on the invisible submit button. While it may seem out of place to promote these styles to !important, they should prevent any framework or existing button styles from interfering with this fix. Also, those inline styles are definitely poor form, but we're proving concepts here... not writing production code.

Understanding Python super() with init() methods

super() lets you avoid referring to the base class explicitly, which can be nice. But the main advantage comes with multiple inheritance, where all sorts of fun stuff can happen. See the standard docs on super if you haven't already.

Note that the syntax changed in Python 3.0: you can just say super().__init__() instead of super(ChildB, self).__init__() which IMO is quite a bit nicer. The standard docs also refer to a guide to using super() which is quite explanatory.

If this is for Linux, I've been using the function "gettimeofday", which returns a struct that gives the seconds and microseconds since the Epoch. You can then use timersub to subtract the two to get the difference in time, and convert it to whatever precision of time you want. However, you specify nanoseconds, and it looks like the function clock_gettime() is what you're looking for. It puts the time in terms of seconds and nanoseconds into the structure you pass into it.

Bit operators can perform set logic on boolean vectors, & for and, | for or etc. This is enough to completely vectorize the sample calculations you gave and should be relatively fast. You could probably speed up even more by temporarily working with the numpy arrays underlying the data while performing these calculations.

For the second part, I would recommend introducing a column indicating the pattern for each row and writing a family of functions which deal with each pattern. Then groupby the pattern and apply the appropriate function to each group.

First, it's always worth noting that git reset --hard is a potentially dangerous command, since it throws away all your uncommitted changes. For safety, you should always check that the output of git status is clean (that is, empty) before using it.

That's incorrect. Git only records the state of the files when you stage them (with git add) or when you create a commit. If you do git reset --hard <SOME-COMMIT> then Git will:

Make your current branch (typically master) back to point at <SOME-COMMIT>.
Then make the files in your working tree and the index ("staging area") the same as the versions committed in <SOME-COMMIT>.

HEAD points to your current branch (or current commit), so all that git reset --hard HEAD will do is to throw away any uncommitted changes you have.

So, suppose the good commit that you want to go back to is f414f31. (You can find that via git log or any history browser.) You then have a few different options depending on exactly what you want to do:

Change your current branch to point to the older commit instead. You could do that with git reset --hard f414f31. However, this is rewriting the history of your branch, so you should avoid it if you've shared this branch with anyone. How do Mockito matchers work?

Mockito matchers are static methods and calls to those methods, which stand in for arguments during calls to when and verify.

Hamcrest matchers (archived version) (or Hamcrest-style matchers) are stateless, general-purpose object instances that implement Matcher<T> and expose a method matches(T) that returns true if the object matches the Matcher's criteria. They are intended to be free of side effects, and are generally used in assertions such as the one below.

Mockito matchers are invoked through static methods such as eq, any, gt, and startsWith on org.mockito.Matchers and org.mockito.AdditionalMatchers. There are also adapters, which have changed across Mockito versions:

For Mockito 1.x, Matchers featured some calls (such as intThat or argThat) are Mockito matchers that directly accept Hamcrest matchers as parameters. ArgumentMatcher<T> extended org.hamcrest.Matcher<T>, which was used in the internal Hamcrest representation and was a Hamcrest matcher base class instead of any sort of Mockito matcher.
For Mockito 2.0+, Mockito no longer has a direct dependency on Hamcrest. Matchers calls phrased as intThat or argThat wrap ArgumentMatcher<T> objects that no longer implement org.hamcrest.Matcher<T> but are used in similar ways. Hamcrest adapters such as argThat and intThat are still available, but have moved to MockitoHamcrest instead.

Regardless of whether the matchers are Hamcrest or simply Hamcrest-style, they can be adapted like so:

In the above statement: foo.setPowerLevel is a method that accepts an int. is(greaterThan(9000)) returns a Matcher<Integer>, which wouldn't work as a setPowerLevel argument. The Mockito matcher intThat wraps that Hamcrest-style Matcher and returns an int so it can appear as an argument; Mockito matchers like gt(9000) would wrap that entire expression into a single call, as in the first line of example code.

What matchers do/return

When not using argument matchers, Mockito records your argument values and compares them with their equals methods.

When you call a matcher like any or gt (greater than), Mockito stores a matcher object that causes Mockito to skip that equality check and apply your match of choice. In the case of argumentCaptor.capture() it stores a matcher that saves its argument instead for later inspection.

Matchers return dummy values such as zero, empty collections, or null. Mockito tries to return a safe, appropriate dummy value, like 0 for anyInt() or any(Integer.class) or an empty List<String> for anyListOf(String.class). Because of type erasure, though, Mockito lacks type information to return any value but null for any() or argThat(...), which can cause a NullPointerException if trying to "auto-unbox" a null primitive value.

Matchers like eq and gt take parameter values; ideally, these values should be computed before the stubbing/verification starts. Calling a mock in the middle of mocking another call can interfere with stubbing.

Matcher methods can't be used as return values; there is no way to phrase thenReturn(anyInt()) or thenReturn(any(Foo.class)) in Mockito, for instance. Mockito needs to know exactly which instance to return in stubbing calls, and will not choose an arbitrary return value for you.

Implementation details

Matchers are stored (as Hamcrest-style object matchers) in a stack contained in a class called ArgumentMatcherStorage. MockitoCore and Matchers each own a ThreadSafeMockingProgress instance, which statically contains a ThreadLocal holding MockingProgress instances. It's this MockingProgressImpl that holds a concrete ArgumentMatcherStorageImpl. Consequently, mock and matcher state is static but thread-scoped consistently between the Mockito and Matchers classes.

Most matcher calls only add to this stack, with an exception for matchers like and, or, and not. This perfectly corresponds to (and relies on) the evaluation order of Java, which evaluates arguments left-to-right before invoking a method:

Add anyInt() to the stack.
Add gt(10) to the stack.
Add lt(20) to the stack.

Call foo.quux(0, 0), which (unless otherwise stubbed) returns the default value false. Internally Mockito marks quux(int, int) as the most recent call.
Call when(false), which discards its argument and prepares to stub method quux(int, int) identified in 5. The only two valid states are with stack length 0 (equality) or 2 (matchers), and there are two matchers on the stack (steps 1 and 4), so Mockito stubs the method with an any() matcher for its first argument and and(gt(10), lt(20)) for its second argument and clears the stack.

This demonstrates a few rules:

Mockito can't tell the difference between quux(anyInt(), 0) and quux(0, anyInt()). They both look like a call to quux(0, 0) with one int matcher on the stack. Consequently, if you use one matcher, you have to match all arguments.

Call order isn't just important, it's what makes this all work. Extracting matchers to variables generally doesn't work, because it usually changes the call order. Extracting matchers to methods, however, works great.

The stack changes often enough that Mockito can't police it very carefully. It can only check the stack when you interact with Mockito or a mock, and has to accept matchers without knowing whether they're used immediately or abandoned accidentally. In theory, the stack should always be empty outside of a call to when or verify, but Mockito can't check that automatically. You can check manually with Mockito.validateMockitoUsage().
In a call to when, Mockito actually calls the method in question, which will throw an exception if you've stubbed the method to throw an exception (or require non-zero or non-null values). doReturn and doAnswer (etc) do not invoke the actual method and are often a useful alternative.
If you had called a mock method in the middle of stubbing (e.g. to calculate an answer for an eq matcher), Mockito would check the stack length against that call instead, and likely fail.
If you try to do something bad, like stubbing/verifying a final method, Mockito will call the real method and also leave extra matchers on the stack. The final method call may not throw an exception, but you may get an InvalidUseOfMatchersException from the stray matchers when you next interact with a mock.

Common problems

InvalidUseOfMatchersException:
- Check that every single argument has exactly one matcher call, if you use matchers at all, and that you haven't used a matcher outside of a when or verify call. Matchers should never be used as stubbed return values or fields/variables.
- Check that you're not calling a mock as a part of providing a matcher argument.
- Check that you're not trying to stub/verify a final method with a matcher. It's a great way to leave a matcher on the stack, and unless your final method throws an exception, this might be the only time you realize the method you're mocking is final.
NullPointerException with primitive arguments: (Integer) any() returns null while any(Integer.class) returns 0; this can cause a NullPointerException if you're expecting an int instead of an Integer. In any case, prefer anyInt(), which will return zero and also skip the auto-boxing step.
NullPointerException or other exceptions: Calls to when(foo.bar(any())).thenReturn(baz) will actually call foo.bar(null), which you might have stubbed to throw an exception when receiving a null argument. Switching to doReturn(baz).when(foo).bar(any()) skips the stubbed behavior.

General troubleshooting

Use MockitoJUnitRunner, or explicitly call validateMockitoUsage in your tearDown or @After method (which the runner would do for you automatically). This will help determine whether you've misused matchers.
For debugging purposes, add calls to validateMockitoUsage in your code directly. This will throw if you have anything on the stack, which is a good warning of a bad symptom.

For single workspace it is very simple, you have to create .php file with all signatures and intelephense will index them.

If you want add stubs globally, you still can, but I'm not sure if it's intended feature. Even if intelephense.stubs throws warning about incorrect value you can in fact put there any folder name.

You can use hh to tell printf that the argument is an unsigned char. Use 0 to get zero padding and 2 to set the width to 2. x or X for lower/uppercase hex characters.

I am not sure what you mean but "actually installed" as .NET 3.5 uses the same CLR as .NET 3.0 and .NET 2.0 so all new functionality is wrapped up in new assemblies that live in that directory. Only thing I would add is to find the dir this way for maximum flexibility:
