And final note is that simply dont rely on asterisks that are used in the beginning for evaluating paths; like "**dir" (its ok to use them for single folders or files but not paths) and note that more than two asterisks dont work for file names.

You've already done it correctly by using a DateTime parameter with the value from the DateTime, so it should already work. Forget about ToString() - since that isn't used here.

If there is a difference, it is most likely to do with different precision between the two environments; maybe choose a rounding (seconds, maybe?) and use that. Also keep in mind UTC/local/unknown (the DB has no concept of the "kind" of date; .NET does).

I have a table and the date-times in it are in the format: 2011-07-01 15:17:33.357

Note that datetimes in the database aren't in any such format; that is just your query-client showing you white lies. It is stored as a number (and even that is an implementation detail), because humans have this odd tendency not to realise that the date you've shown is the same as 40723.6371916281. Stupid humans. By treating it simply as a "datetime" throughout, you shouldn't get any problems.

I see that for the accepted answer (recursivefn5), some folks are having issues with the explanation. so I'd try to clarify to the best of my knowledge.

1. The for loop runs for n/2 times because at each iteration, we are increasing i (the counter) by a factor of 2. so say n = 10, the for loop will run 10/2 = 5 times i.e when i is 0,2,4,6 and 8 respectively.

2. In the same regard, the recursive call is reduced by a factor of 5 for every time it is called i.e it runs for n/5 times. Again assume n = 10, the recursive call runs for 10/5 = 2 times i.e when n is 10 and 5 and then it hits the base case and terminates.

3. Calculating the total run time, the for loop runs n/2 times for every time we call the recursive function. since the recursive fxn runs n/5 times (in 2 above),the for loop runs for (n/2) * (n/5) = (n^2)/10 times, which translates to an overall Big O runtime of O(n^2) - ignoring the constant (1/10)...

Yes there is 2MB max and it can be increased by configuration change like this. If your POST body is not in form of multipart file then you might need to add the max-http-post configuration for tomcat in the application yml configuration file.

Increase max size of each multipart file to 10MB and total payload size of 100MB max

All three string functions strip lstrip, and rstrip can take parameters of the string to strip, with the default being all white space. This can be helpful when you are working with something particular, for example, you could remove only spaces but not newlines:

The purpose of styling the <br> tag like this is to make a "bigger" line break (i.e., with a bit of extra space between the lines).

So you have few questions now, let me guess those and try to answer them

Why are different scripts generated for same result?

Lets find out some points here,

all queries has one common part

WHERE [Extent1].[PersonId] IN (0,1,2,3)

why? Because both function IQueryable<Employee> GetEmployeeAndPersonDetailIQueryable and IEnumerable<Employee> GetEmployeeAndPersonDetailIEnumerable of SomeServiceClass contains one common line in linq queries

where employeesToCollect.Contains(e.PersonId)

Than why is the AND (N'M' = [Extent1].[Gender]) part is missing in IEnumerable execution part, while in both function calling we used Where(i => i.Gender == "M") inprogram.cs`

Now we are in the point where difference came between IQueryable and IEnumerable

What entity framwork does when an IQueryable method called, it tooks linq statement written inside the method and try to find out if more linq expressions are defined on the resultset, it then gathers all linq queries defined until the result need to fetch and constructs more appropriate sql query to execute.

It provide a lots of benefits like,

• only those rows populated by sql server which could be valid by the whole linq query execution
• helps sql server performance by not selecting unnecessary rows
• network cost get reduce

like here in example sql server returned to application only two rows after IQueryable execution` but returned THREE rows for IEnumerable query why?

In case of IEnumerable method, entity framework took linq statement written inside the method and constructs sql query when result need to fetch. it does not include rest linq part to constructs the sql query. Like here no filtering is done in sql server on column gender.

But the outputs are same? Because 'IEnumerable filters the result further in application level after retrieving result from sql server

SO, what should someone choose? I personally prefer to define function result as IQueryable<T> because there are lots of benefit it has over IEnumerable like, you could join two or more IQueryable functions, which generate more specific script to sql server.

Here in example you can see an IQueryable Query(IQueryableQuery2) generates a more specific script than IEnumerable query(IEnumerableQuery2) which is much more acceptable in my point of view.

And you can use begin transaction and end transaction to not make database locked in future.

There is no need to kill entire session. In Oracle 18c you could use ALTER SYSTEM CANCEL:

Instead of terminating a session, you can cancel a high-load SQL statement in a session. When you cancel a DML statement, the statement is rolled back.

I have been using this solution since iOS 5 or so without any problems. I made a utility function that I call in my view controllers. You need to do it either in viewDidLoad or any point after that.

I stumbled across this question looking for details on the sequence of events during an insert statement & trigger. I ended up coding some brief tests to confirm how SQL 2016 (EXPRESS) behaves - and thought it would be appropriate to share as it might help others searching for similar information.

Based on my test, it is possible to select data from the "inserted" table and use that to update the inserted data itself. And, of interest to me, the inserted data is not visible to other queries until the trigger completes at which point the final result is visible (at least best as I could test). I didn't test this for recursive triggers, etc. (I would expect the nested trigger would have full visibility of the inserted data in the table, but that's just a guess).

For example - assuming we have the table "table" with an integer field "field" and primary key field "pk" and the following code in our insert trigger:

We insert a row with the value 1 for "field", then the row will end up with the value 2. Furthermore - if I open another window in SSMS and try: select * from table where pk = @pk

where @pk is the primary key I originally inserted, the query will be empty until the 15 seconds expire and will then show the updated value (field=2).

I was interested in what data is visible to other queries while the trigger is executing (apparently no new data). I tested with an added delete as well:

Again, the insert took 15sec to execute. A query executing in a different session showed no new data - during or after execution of the insert + trigger (although I would expect any identity would increment even if no data appears to be inserted).

As a different font is likely to be already defined by the browser for form elements, here are 2 ways to use this font everywhere:

body, input, textarea {

There'll still have a monospace font on elements like pre/code, kbd, etc but, in case you use these elements, you'd better use a monospace font there.

Important note: if very few people has this font installed on their OS, then the second font in the list will be used. Here you defined no second font so the default serif font will be used, and it'll be Times, Times New Roman except maybe on Linux.
Two options there: use @font-face if your font is free of use as a downloadable font or add fallback(s): a second, a third, etc and finally a default family (sans-serif, cursive (*), monospace or serif). The first of the list that exists on the OS of the user will be used.

(*) default cursive on Windows is Comic Sans. Except if you want to troll Windows users, don't do that :) This font is terrible except for your children birthdays where it's welcome.

I had the same problem, in user environment variable settings I was having JAVA_HOME and PATH configured properly but it didn't work. As I update my system environment variables then it started to work.

Using awk, and based in some of the options below, using a for loop makes a bit more flexible; sometimes I may want to delete the first 9 columns ( if I do an "ls -lrt" for example), so I change the 2 for a 9 and that's it:

I was using Postman to test my Laravel API.

I received an error that stated

"SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column" because Laravel was trying to automatically create two columns "created_at" and "updated_at".

I had to enter public $timestamps = false; to my model. Then, I tested again with Postman and saw that an "id" = 0 variable was being created in my database.

I finally had to add public $incrementing false; to fix my API.

The post needs an update after the links option is deprecated.

Basically, links is no longer needed because its main purpose, making container reachable by another by adding environment variable, is included implicitly with network. When containers are placed in the same network, they are reachable by each other using their container name and other alias as host.

For docker run, --link is also deprecated and should be replaced by a custom network.

There isn't really a formal manual, because there's no single style or standard.

So long as you understand the rules of identifier naming you can use whatever you like.

In practice, I find it easier to use lower_case_underscore_separated_identifiers because it isn't necessary to "Double Quote" them everywhere to preserve case, spaces, etc.

If you wanted to name your tables and functions "@MyA??! ""betty"" Shard$42" you'd be free to do that, though it'd be pain to type everywhere.

The main things to understand are:

• Unless double-quoted, identifiers are case-folded to lower-case, so MyTable, MYTABLE and mytable are all the same thing, but "MYTABLE" and "MyTable" are different;

• Unless double-quoted:

  SQL identifiers and key words must begin with a letter (a-z, but also letters with diacritical marks and non-Latin letters) or an underscore (_). Subsequent characters in an identifier or key word can be letters, underscores, digits (0-9), or dollar signs ($).

• You must double-quote keywords if you wish to use them as identifiers.

In practice I strongly recommend that you do not use keywords as identifiers. At least avoid reserved words. Just because you can name a table "with" doesn't mean you should.

The App_Code folder isn't intended to be used with MVC Projects (WAP).

Files in the App_Code folder gets compiled automatically as part of a special dll. If the Build Action property on the file is set to Compile, the same class will also get compiled as part of the main dll and you will end up with two copies.

Setting the Build Action property to None makes sure there is only one copy of the class in the project. The compiler will not catch any errors in the App_Code folder when building but Intellisense will still validate the code but compile-time errors won't show up until it is compiled on-the-fly.

The recommended solution is to put code in a normal folder and make sure the Build Action is set to Compile.

you would need to first open your file in read format, save it to a variable, then open the second file in write format where you would write or append the variable using a the [::-1] slice, completely reversing the file. You can also use readlines() to make it into a list of lines, which you can manipulate

I feel your pain as I, too, am starting out to get Django and React.js working together. Did a couple of Django projects, and I think, React.js is a great match for Django. However, it can be intimidating to get started. We are standing on the shoulders of giants here ;)

Here's how I think, it all works together (big picture, please someone correct me if I'm wrong).

• Django and its database (I prefer Postgres) on one side (backend)
• Django Rest-framework providing the interface to the outside world (i.e. Mobile Apps and React and such)
• Reactjs, Nodejs, Webpack, Redux (or maybe MobX?) on the other side (frontend)

Communication between Django and 'the frontend' is done via the Rest framework. Make sure you get your authorization and permissions for the Rest framework in place.

I found a good boiler template for exactly this scenario and it works out of the box. Just follow the readme https://github.com/scottwoodall/django-react-template and once you are done, you have a pretty nice Django Reactjs project running. By no means this is meant for production, but rather as a way for you to dig in and see how things are connected and working!

One tiny change I'd like to suggest is this: Follow the setup instructions BUT before you get to the 2nd step to setup the backend (Django here https://github.com/scottwoodall/django-react-template/blob/master/backend/README.md), change the requirements file for the setup.

I have overcome this problem by changing the device screen size.

In the code you have posted there would be no advantages, as you are misusing the StringBuilder. You build the same String in both cases. Using StringBuilder you can avoid the + operation on Strings using the append method. You should use it this way:

I would also suggest using some kind of build tool (Ant or Maven, Ant is already suggested and is easier to start with) or an IDE that handles the compilation (Eclipse uses incremental compilation with reconciling strategy, and you don't even have to care to press any "Compile" buttons).

Using Javac

If you need to try something out for a larger project and don't have any proper build tools nearby, you can always use a small trick that javac offers: the classnames to compile can be specified in a file. You simply have to pass the name of the file to javac with the @ prefix.

If you can create a list of all the *.java files in your project, it's easy:

• The advantage is that is is a quick and easy solution.
• The drawback is that you have to regenerate the sources.txt file each time you create a new source or rename an existing one file which is an easy to forget (thus error-prone) and tiresome task.

Using a build tool

On the long run it is better to use a tool that was designed to build software.

Using Ant

If you create a simple build.xml file that describes how to build the software:

• The advantage is that you are using a standard build tool that is easy to extend.

Using Maven

Maven is not that trivial to set up and work with, but learning it pays well. Here's a great tutorial to start a project within 5 minutes.

• It's main advantage (for me) is that it handles dependencies too, so you won't need to download any more Jar files and manage them by hand and I found it more useful for building, packaging and testing larger projects.
• The drawback is that it has a steep learning curve, and if Maven plugins like to suppress errors :-) Another thing is that quite a lot of tools also operate with Maven repositories (like Sbt for Scala, Ivy for Ant, Graddle for Groovy).

Using an IDE

Now that what could boost your development productivity. There are a few open source alternatives (like Eclipse and NetBeans, I prefer the former) and even commercial ones (like IntelliJ) which are quite popular and powerful.

They can manage the project building in the background so you don't have to deal with all the command line stuff. However, it always comes handy if you know what actually happens in the background so you can hunt down occasional errors like a ClassNotFoundException.

One additional note

For larger projects, it is always advised to use an IDE and a build tool. The former boosts your productivity, while the latter makes it possible to use different IDEs with the project (e.g., Maven can generate Eclipse project descriptors with a simple mvn eclipse:eclipse command). Moreover, having a project that can be tested/built with a single line command is easy to introduce to new colleagues and into a continuous integration server for example. Piece of cake :-)

• You cannot have your cake and eat it too... in msvcrt.dll, printf() is based on the Console API, which in itself uses lpc to communicate with the console subsystem (csrss.exe). Connection with csrss is initiated at process start-up, which means that any process that begins its execution "in the middle" will have that step skipped. Unless you have access to the source code of the operating system, then there is no point in trying to connect to csrss manually. Instead, you should create your own subsystem, and accordingly avoid the console functions in applications that use fork().

We find ourselves in a universe which appears to progress along a dimension we call "time". We don't really understand what time is, but we have developed abstractions and vocabulary that let us reason and talk about it: "past", "present", "future", "before", "after".

The computer systems we build--more and more--have time as an important dimension. Certain things are set up to happen in the future. Then other things need to happen after those first things eventually occur. This is the basic notion called "asynchronicity". In our increasingly networked world, the most common case of asynchronicity is waiting for some remote system to respond to some request.

Consider an example. You call the milkman and order some milk. When it comes, you want to put it in your coffee. You can't put the milk in your coffee right now, because it is not here yet. You have to wait for it to come before putting it in your coffee. In other words, the following won't work:

Because JS has no way to know that it needs to wait for order_milk to finish before it executes put_in_coffee. In other words, it does not know that order_milk is asynchronous--is something that is not going to result in milk until some future time. JS, and other declarative languages execute one statement after another without waiting.

The classic JS approach to this problem, taking advantage of the fact that JS supports functions as first-class objects which can be passed around, is to pass a function as a parameter to the asynchronous request, which it will then invoke when it has completed its task sometime in the future. That is the "callback" approach. It looks like this:

order_milk(put_in_coffee);

order_milk kicks off, orders the milk, then, when and only when it arrives, it invokes put_in_coffee.

The problem with this callback approach is that it pollutes the normal semantics of a function reporting its result with return; instead, functions must not reports their results by calling a callback given as a parameter. Also, this approach can rapidly become unwieldy when dealing with longer sequences of events. For example, let's say that I want to wait for the milk to be put in the coffee, and then and only then perform a third step, namely drinking the coffee. I end up needing to write something like this:

order_milk(function(milk) { put_in_coffee(milk, drink_coffee); }

where I am passing to put_in_coffee both the milk to put in it, and also the action (drink_coffee) to execute once the milk has been put in. Such code becomes hard to write, and read, and debug.

In this case, we could rewrite the code in the question as:

Enter promises

This was the motivation for the notion of a "promise", which is a particular type of value which represents a future or asynchronous outcome of some sort. It can represent something that already happened, or that is going to happen in the future, or might never happen at all. Promises have a single method, named then, to which you pass an action to be executed when the outcome the promise represents has been realized.

In the case of our milk and coffee, we design order_milk to return a promise for the milk arriving, then specify put_in_coffee as a then action, as follows:

order_milk() . then(put_in_coffee)

One advantage of this is that we can string these together to create sequences of future occurrences ("chaining"):

order_milk() . then(put_in_coffee) . then(drink_coffee)

Let's apply promises to your particular problem. We will wrap our request logic inside a function, which returns a promise:

Actually, all we've done is added a return to the call to $.ajax. This works because jQuery's $.ajax already returns a kind of promise-like thing. (In practice, without getting into details, we would prefer to wrap this call so as for return a real promise, or use some alternative to $.ajax that does so.) Now, if we want to load the file and wait for it to finish and then do something, we can simply say

The async keyword

But there's still something vaguely dissatisfying about having to write code one way if synchronous and a quite different way if asynchronous. For synchronous, we write

but if a is asynchronous, with promises we have to write

a() . then(b);

Above, we said, "JS has no way to know that it needs to wait for the first call to finish before it executes the second". Wouldn't it be nice if there was some way to tell JS that? It turns out that there is--the await keyword, used inside a special type of function called an "async" function. This feature is part of the upcoming version of ES but is already available in transpilers such as Babel given the right presets. This allows us to simply write

In your case, you would be able to write something like

That method can't return true. That's the point of Long.MAX_VALUE. It would be really confusing if its name were... false. Then it should be just called Long.SOME_FAIRLY_LARGE_VALUE and have literally zero reasonable uses. Just use Android's isUserAGoat, or you may roll your own function that always returns false.

Note that a long in memory takes a fixed number of bytes. From Oracle:

long: The long data type is a 64-bit signed two's complement integer. It has a minimum value of -9,223,372,036,854,775,808 and a maximum value of 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 (inclusive). Use this data type when you need a range of values wider than those provided by int.

As you may know from basic computer science or discrete math, there are 2^64 possible values for a long, since it is 64 bits. And as you know from discrete math or number theory or common sense, if there's only finitely many possibilities, one of them has to be the largest. That would be Long.MAX_VALUE. So you are asking something similar to "is there an integer that's >0 and < 1?" Mathematically nonsensical.

If you actually need this for something for real then use BigInteger class.

The problem is that your <label> is inside of an <h2> tag, and header tags have a margin set by the default stylesheet.

As @Psyonity mentioned, you can use the conditionalWeakTable to add properties to existing objects. Combined with the dynamic ExpandoObject, you could implement dynamic extension properties in a few lines:

I was facing the same problem and non of the above solutions helped me. In my Web Api 2 project, I had actually updated my database and had placed a unique constraint on an SQL table column. That was actually causing the problem. Simply Checking the the duplicate column values before inserting helped me fix the problem!

The country and place is the index of the series, if you don't need the index, you can set as_index=False:

Where do these characters occur? Do you see them if you examine the XML data in, say, notepad? Or do you see them when examining the XML data in the debugger. If it is the latter, they are only escape characters for the " characters, and so part of the actual XML data.

I had some issues when getting this to work for reading over sockets piped to it. When the socket got closed it started returning empty string in an active loop. So this is my solution to it (which I only tested in linux, but hope it works in all other systems)

What worked for me is installing "Android SDK Build-tools". Open the Android SDK Manager and install the Android SDK build-tools. It also helped to update the Andriod Development Platform in Eclipse: Help > check for updates

There are limitations in PUT over PATCH while making updates. Using PUT requires us to specify all attributes even if we want to change only one attribute. But if we use the PATCH method we can update only the fields we need and there is no need to mention all the fields. PATCH does not allow us to modify a value in an array, or remove an attribute or array entry.

This answer is similar to the accepted one, but a bit less convoluted.

Painfully slow (and crudely implemented) but a combination of svn log and svn cat works if you are searching the history of single files or small repositories:

For building containers you obviously want to use one of the standard containers (such as a std::vector). But this is a perfect example of the things you need to consider when your object contains RAW pointers.

If your object has a RAW pointer then you need to remember the rule of 3 (now the rule of 5 in C++11).

• Constructor
• Destructor
• Copy Constructor
• Assignment Operator
• Move Constructor (C++11)
• Move Assignment (C++11)

This is because if not defined the compiler will generate its own version of these methods (see below). The compiler generated versions are not always useful when dealing with RAW pointers.

The copy constructor is the hard one to get correct (it's non trivial if you want to provide the strong exception guarantee). The Assignment operator can be defined in terms of the Copy Constructor as you can use the copy and swap idiom internally.

See below for full details on the absolute minimum for a class containing a pointer to an array of integers.

Knowing that it is non trivial to get it correct you should consider using std::vector rather than a pointer to an array of integers. The vector is easy to use (and expand) and covers all the problems associated with exceptions. Compare the following class with the definition of A below.

The compiler generated assignment operator is fine for nearly all situations, but when RAW pointers are in play you need to pay attention. In your case it is causing a problem because of the shallow copy problem. You have ended up with two objects that contain pointers to the same piece of memory. When the A(3) goes out of scope at the end of the loop it calls delete [] on its pointer. Thus the other object (in the array) now contains a pointer to memory that has been returned to the system.

The compiler generated copy constructor; copies each member variable by using that members copy constructor. For pointers this just means the pointer value is copied from the source object to the destination object (hence shallow copy).

The compiler generated assignment operator; copies each member variable by using that members assignment operator. For pointers this just means the pointer value is copied from the source object to the destination object (hence shallow copy).

So the minimum for a class that contains a pointer:

The way I do is go to http://getbootstrap.com/customize/ and only check "grid system" to download. There are bootstrap-theme.css and bootstrap.css in downloaded files, and I only need the latter.

In this way, I can use the grid system of Bootstrap, with everything else from Material UI.

I've stumbled onto this question today myself, even though I already had a working code I figured out that it wouldn't work in some cases.

While some people already suggested using some external libraries, I prefer to write my own code for learning purposes.

Some answers included the method I was using in the first place (looking for the last "."), but I remembered that on linux hidden files/folders start with ".". So if file file is hidden and has no extension, the whole file name would be taken for extension. To avoid that I wrote this piece of code:

Using NSCoding and NSKeyedArchiver is another great option for data that's too complex for NSUserDefaults, but for which CoreData would be overkill. It also gives you the opportunity to manage the file structure more explicitly, which is great if you want to use encryption.

Using params allows you to call the function with no arguments. Without params:

Basically the double-curly syntax is more naturally readable and requires less typing.

Both cases produce the same output but.. if you choose to go with {{}} there is a chance that the user will see for some milliseconds the {{}} before your template is rendered by angular. So if you notice any {{}} then is better to use ng-bind.

Also very important is that only in your index.html of your angular app you can have un-rendered {{}}. If you are using directives so then templates, there is no chance to see that because angular first render the template and after append it to the DOM.

However, eval is risky. From json.org:

No you wouldn't alter the "content" of the list, if you could mutate strings that way. But in Python they are not mutable. Any string operation returns a new string.

If you had a list of objects you knew were mutable, you could do this as long as you don't change the actual contents of the list.

Thus you will need to do a map of some sort. If you use a generator expression it [the operation] will be done as you iterate and you will save memory.

6. Enter admin password
7. Change 'Everyone' permissions to read & write
8. In the get info window still, select the 'cog' icon' drop down option at the very bottom and select 'Apply to enclosed items' this will adjust the permission across all sub-folders as well.
9. Re-lock the padlock symbol
10. Close the 'Get Info' window.

There is no single magic function to force a frame to a minimum or fixed size. However, you can certainly force the size of a frame by giving the frame a width and height. You then have to do potentially two more things: when you put this window in a container you need to make sure the geometry manager doesn't shrink or expand the window. Two, if the frame is a container for other widget, turn grid or pack propagation off so that the frame doesn't shrink or expand to fit its own contents.

Another possibility would be to use a struct which with a field to indicate whether its valid. The null types from sql such as NullString are convenient. Its nice to not have to define your own type, but in case you need a custom data type you can always follow the same pattern. I think the optional-ness is clear from the function definition and there is minimal extra code or effort.

As well as \singlespacing mentioned previously to reduce the height of the table, a useful way to reduce the width of the table is to add \tabcolsep=0.11cm before the \begin{tabular} command and take out all the vertical lines between columns. It's amazing how much space is used up between the columns of text. You could reduce the font size to something smaller than \small but I normally wouldn't use anything smaller than \footnotesize.

It works when input type="button" is replaced with input type="submit" for the default button which needs to be triggered.

Are you sure that the data stored in the database is actually a question mark? I would tend to suspect from the sample data that the problem is one of character set conversion where ? is being used as the replacement character when the character can't be represented in the client character set. Possibly, the database is actually storing Microsoft "smart quote" characters rather than simple apostrophes.

What does the DUMP function show is actually stored in the database?

You can start Docker compose in detached mode and attach yourself to the logs of all container later. If you're done watching logs you can detach yourself from the logs output without shutting down your services.

1. Use docker-compose up -d to start all services in detached mode (-d) (you won't see any logs in detached mode)
2. Use docker-compose logs -f -t to attach yourself to the logs of all running services, whereas -f means you follow the log output and the -t option gives you timestamps (See Docker reference)
3. Use Ctrl + z or Ctrl + c to detach yourself from the log output without shutting down your running containers

If you're interested in logs of a single container you can use the docker keyword instead:

jQuery UI Datepicker is coded to always highlight the user's local date using the class ui-state-highlight. There is no built-in option to change this.

One method, described similarly in other answers to related questions, is to override the CSS for that class to match ui-state-default of your theme, for example:

To be honest I think that it's really shame that there is no simple checkbox in storyboard to say that you want to resize buttons to accommodate the text. Well... whatever.

Just wondering why you are using 2 directives?

It seems like, in this case it would be more straightforward to have a controller as the parent - handle adding the data from your service to its $scope, and pass the model you need from there into your warrantyDirective.

Or for that matter, you could use 0 directives to achieve the same result. (ie. move all functionality out of the separate directives and into a single controller).

It doesn't look like you're doing any explicit DOM transformation here, so in this case, perhaps using 2 directives is overcomplicating things.

Alternatively, have a look at the Angular documentation for directives: http://docs.angularjs.org/guide/directive The very last example at the bottom of the page explains how to wire up dependent directives.

Have you tried following the advice on the linked help page? The help page at http://g.co/mapsJSApiErrors says:

I had the same problem and found a different answer. I found that getting the height of a div that's height is determined by its contents needs to be initiated on window.load, or window.scroll not document.ready otherwise i get odd heights/smaller heights, i.e before the images have loaded. I also used outerHeight().

The common method for doing what you're looking to do is to run them side by side, and either proxy requests from apache to node.js based on domain / url, or simply have your node.js content be pulled from the node.js port. This later method works very well for having things like socket.io powered widgets on your site and such.

If you're going to be doing all of your dynamic content generation in node however, you might as well just use node.js as your primary webserver too, it does a very good job at serving both static and dynamic http requests.

For Sourcetree users: If you want to ignore a specific folder, just select a file from this folder, right-click on it and do "Ignore...". You will have a pop-up menu where you can ignore "Ignore everything beneath: <YOUR UNWANTED FOLDER>"

If you have the "Ignore" option greyed out, you have to select the "Stop Tracking" option. After that the file will be added to Staged files with a minus sign on red background icon and the file's icon in Unstaged files list will change to a question sign on a violet background. The checked answer from balexandre works great. But, it will create a problem if adapted to some other situations.

I used it to change the value of two label controls - lblEditModifiedBy and lblEditModifiedOn - when I was editing a row, so that the correct ModifiedBy and ModifiedOn would be saved to the db on 'Update'.

When I clicked the 'Update' button, in the RowUpdating event it showed the new values I entered in the OldValues list. I needed the true "old values" as Original_ values when updating the database. (There's an ObjectDataSource attached to the GridView.)

The fix to this is using balexandre's code, but in a modified form in the gv_DataBound event:

The print() function returns None. You are trying to index None. You can not, because 'NoneType' object is not subscriptable.

Put the [0] inside the brackets. Now you're printing everything, and not just the first term.

For me, it worked when I selected the correct bit of my Python version, NOT the one of my computer version.

Mine is 32bit, and my computer is 64bit. That was the problem and the 32bit version of fixed it.

All of these answers got me close but they were each missing a key detail. After a bit of research, I found the easiest route to be a combination of these 3 steps:

After using this a bit, I realized it was drawing a divider after the last item, which was annoying. So I modified Step 1 as follows to override that default behavior in DividerItemDecoration (of course, making a separate class is another option):

You've got the right idea, so here's how to go ahead: the onclick handlers run on the client side, in the browser, so you cannot call a PHP function directly. Instead, you need to add a JavaScript function that (as you mentioned) uses AJAX to call a PHP script and retrieve the data. Using jQuery, you can do something like this:

Your rows object holds an Item attribute where you can find the values for each of your columns. You can not expect the columns to concatenate themselves when you do a .ToString() on the row. You should access each column from the row separately, use a for or a foreach to walk the array of columns.
