Yes, the post data is safe. But the origin of that data is not. This way somebody can trick user with JS into logging in to your site, while browsing attacker's web page.

In order to prevent that, django will send a random key both in cookie, and form data. Then, when users POSTs, it will check if two keys are identical. In case where user is tricked, 3rd party website cannot get your site's cookies, thus causing auth error.

If you want to move forward a certain number of words, hit M-<n> (M- is for Meta and its usually the escape key) then hit a number. This sends a repeat argument to readline, so you can repeat whatever command you want - if you want to go forward then hit M-<n> M-f and the cursor will move forward <n> number of words.

E.g.

I've been going back and forth on these two options the last few times I've needed them. Up until recently, my preference has been for the sealed trait/case object option.

Case Objects/Sealed traits

Pros: -Using sealed traits, we can pre-instantiate some values while others can be injected at creation time -full support for pattern matching (apply/unapply methods defined)

Cons: -Instantiating from a persistent store - you often have to use pattern matching here or define your own list of all possible 'enum values'

What ultimately made me change my opinion was something like the following snippet:

Assuming you would like to add a directory to git that, for all purposes related to git, should remain empty and never have it's contents tracked, a .gitignore as suggested numerous times here, will do the trick.

The format, as mentioned, is:

Now, if you want a way to do this at the command line, in one fell swoop, while inside the directory you want to add, you can execute:

Myself, I have a shell script that I use to do this. Name the script whatever you whish, and either add it somewhere in your include path, or reference it directly:

Another option (in response to a comment by @GreenAsJade), if you want to track an empty folder that MAY contain tracked files in the future, but will be empty for now, you can ommit the * from the .gitignore file, and check that in. Basically, all the file is saying is "do not ignore me", but otherwise, the directory is empty and tracked.

Your .gitignore file would look like:

!.gitignore

That's it, check that in, and you have an empty, yet tracked, directory that you can track files in at some later time.

The reason I suggest keeping that one line in the file is that it gives the .gitignore purpose. Otherwise, some one down the line may think to remove it. It may help if you place a comment above the line.

You aren't returning anything in the case that the item is not a string. In that case, the function returns undefined, what you are seeing in the result.

The map function is used to map one value to another, but it looks you actually want to filter the array, which a map function is not suitable for.

What you actually want is a filter function. It takes a function that returns true or false based on whether you want the item in the resulting array or not.

I always use object, it is more easily extendable, JSON array is not. For example you originally had some data as a json array, then you needed to add a status header on it you'd be a bit stuck, unless you'd nested the data in an object. The only disadvantage is a slight increase in complexity of creation / parsing.

So instead of

You'd have

{data: [datum0, datum1, datumN]}

then later you can add more...

I believe that the correct answer would be to make the two numbers (BigDecimals), have the same scale, then we can decide about their equality. For example, are these two numbers equal?

Well, it depends on the scale. On the scale 5 (5 decimal points), no they are not the same. but on smaller decimal precisions (scale 4 and lower) they are considered equal. So I suggest make the scale of the two numbers equal and then compare them.

Similar to Flavio's answer (https://stackoverflow.com/a/18542792/1064996), it was something to do with the files in ~/.android (on the host machine, not the phone).

I didn't have ~/.android/adbkey, but I did have ~/.android/debug.keystore and my whole ~/.android directory was owned by root. I removed the keystore file and also changed ownership to me (sudo chown -R $USER ~/.android), killed the adb server and plugged in my phone, and it worked.

It was probably the ownership thing. Make sure you have read/write permissions in ~/.android

When this question was originally asked, JSLint was the main linting tool for JavaScript. JSHint was a new fork of JSLint, but had not yet diverged much from the original.

Since then, JSLint has remained pretty much static, while JSHint has changed a great deal - it has thrown away many of JSLint's more antagonistic rules, has added a whole load of new rules, and has generally become more flexible. Also, another tool ESLint is now available, which is even more flexible and has more rule options.

In my original answer, I said that you should not force yourself to stick to JSLint's rules; as long as you understood why it was throwing a warning, you could make a judgement for yourself about whether to change the code to resolve the warning or not.

With the ultra-strict ruleset of JSLint from 2011, this was reasonable advice -- I've seen very few JavaScript codesets that could pass a JSLint test. However with the more pragmatic rules available in today's JSHint and ESLint tools, it is a much more realistic proposition to try to get your code passing through them with zero warnings.

There may still occasionally be cases where a linter will complain about something that you've done intentionally -- for example, you know that you should always use === but just this one time you have a good reason to use ==. But even then, with ESLint you have the option to specify eslint-disable around the line in question so you can still have a passing lint test with zero warnings, with the rest of your code obeying the rule. (just don't do that kind of thing too often!)

By all means use JSLint. But don't get hung up on the results and on fixing everything that it warns about. It will help you improve your code, and it will help you find potential bugs, but not everything that JSLint complains about turns out to be a real problem, so don't feel like you have to complete the process with zero warnings.

Some JSLint warnings are more valuable than others: learn which ones to watch out for, and which ones are less important. Every warning should be considered, but don't feel obliged to fix your code to clear any given warning; it's perfectly okay to look at the code and decide you're happy with it; there are times when things that JSlint doesn't like are actually the right thing to do.

I'll suggest different approach, If the order of the items inside the list is not important at extraction (and each item should be selected only once), then instead of a List you can use a ConcurrentBag which is a thread-safe, unordered collection of objects:

Keep in mind that docker ps --size may be an expensive command, taking more than a few minutes to complete. The same applies to container list API requests with size=1. It's better not to run it too often.

I just recently discovered (for Java) a tool called Threadsafe. It is a static analysis tool much like findbugs but specifically to spot multi-threading issues. It is not a replacement for testing but I can recommend it as part of writing reliable multi-threaded Java.

It even catches some very subtle potential issues around things like class subsumption, accessing unsafe objects through concurrent classes and spotting missing volatile modifiers when using the double checked locking paradigm.

If you write multithreaded Java give it a shot.

In addition to others' proposals, there is another option to handle that issue.

If your application should behave the same in case of lack of "href" attribute, as in case of it being empty, just replace this:

Does c# have its own version of the java "synchronized" keyword?

No. In C#, you explicitly lock resources that you want to work on synchronously across asynchronous threads. lock opens a block; it doesn't work on method level.

Alesana's solution works very nicely for me in general, but like others, I wanted to be able to specify where line breaks occur. I made some simple modifications to wrap lines at '\n' characters, as long as the text is already being wrapped. A more complete solution would force wrapping if there are any '\n' characters in the text, but I don't have time at the moment to make that work with font sizing. The change also centers a little better horizontally when wrapping (avoids trailing spaces). The code's below (I can't post comments yet).

I would EXPECT the first query to be quicker, mainly because you have an equivalence and an explicit JOIN. In my experience IN is a very slow operator, since SQL normally evaluates it as a series of WHERE clauses separated by "OR" (WHERE x=Y OR x=Z OR...).

As with ALL THINGS SQL though, your mileage may vary. The speed will depend a lot on indexes (do you have indexes on both ID columns? That will help a lot...) among other things.

The only REAL way to tell with 100% certainty which is faster is to turn on performance tracking (IO Statistics is especially useful) and run them both. Make sure to clear your cache between runs!

The prefix "Local" in JSR-310 (aka java.time-package in Java-8) does not indicate that there is a timezone information in internal state of that class (here: LocalDateTime). Despite the often misleading name such classes like LocalDateTime or LocalTime have NO timezone information or offset.

The one-liner solution is more useful as a shibboleth than good code; good Perl coders will know it and understand it, but it's much less transparent and readable than the two-line copy-and-modify couplet you're starting with.

There is

• a semantical difference
• a performance difference

between the two.

Semantical Difference:

• FirstOrDefault returns a first item of potentially multiple (or default if none exists).
• SingleOrDefault assumes that there is a single item and returns it (or default if none exists). Multiple items are a violation of contract, an exception is thrown.

Performance Difference

• FirstOrDefault is usually faster, it iterates until it finds the element and only has to iterate the whole enumerable when it doesn't find it. In many cases, there is a high probability to find an item.

• SingleOrDefault needs to check if there is only one element and therefore always iterates the whole enumerable. To be precise, it iterates until it finds a second element and throws an exception. But in most cases, there is no second element.

Conclusion

• Use FirstOrDefault if you don't care how many items there are or when you can't afford checking uniqueness (e.g. in a very large collection). When you check uniqueness on adding the items to the collection, it might be too expensive to check it again when searching for those items.

• Use SingleOrDefault if you don't have to care about performance too much and want to make sure that the assumption of a single item is clear to the reader and checked at runtime.

In practice, you use First / FirstOrDefault often even in cases when you assume a single item, to improve performance. You should still remember that Single / SingleOrDefault can improve readability (because it states the assumption of a single item) and stability (because it checks it) and use it appropriately.

stats cachedump only dumps the HOT_LRU (IIRC?), which is managed by a background thread as activity happens. This means under a new enough version which the 2Q algo enabled, you'll get snapshot views of what's in just one of the LRU's.

If you want to view everything, lru_crawler metadump 1 (or lru_crawler metadump all) is the new mostly-officially-supported method that will asynchronously dump as many keys as you want. you'll get them out of order but it hits all LRU's, and unless you're deleting/replacing items multiple runs should yield the same results.

They might be just a \r or a \n. I just checked and the text visualizer in VS 2010 displays both as newlines as well as \r\n.

If you use option 2 you are doing a Boolean check which is fast. In option one you are doing a method call (pushing stuff on the stack) and then doing a Boolean check which is still fast. The problem I see is consistency. If some of your debug and info statements are wrapped and some are not it is not a consistent code style. If you're building a class library, then perhaps the users of your library would like to use your library asynchronously. I think that's the biggest reason right there.

You also don't know how your library is going to be used. Perhaps the users will be processing lots and lots of requests, and doing so asynchronously will help it perform faster and more efficient.

If you can do so simply, try not to put the burden on the users of your library trying to make the flow asynchronous when you can take care of it for them.

The only reason I wouldn't use the async version is if I were trying to support an older version of .NET that does not already have built in async support.

You can trick MySQL into thinking you are actually specifying a primary key column. This allows you to "override" safe mode.

When you have related tables you often have one-to-many or many-to-many relationships. So when you join to TableB each record in TableA many have multiple records in TableB. This is normal and expected.

Now at times you only need certain columns and those are all the same for all the records, then you would need to do some sort of group by or distinct to remove the duplicates. Let's look at an example:

TableB
ID Field2 field3
1  Test1  something
1  test1  More something
2  Test2  Anything

So when you join them and select all the files you get:

These are not duplicates because the values of Field3 are different even though there are repeated values in the earlier fields. Now when you only select certain columns the same number of records are being joined together but since the columns with the different information is not being displayed they look like duplicates.

This appears to be duplicates but it is not because of the multiple records in TableB.

You normally fix this by using aggregates and group by, by using distinct or by filtering in the where clause to remove duplicates. How you solve this depends on exactly what your business rule is and how your database is designed and what kind of data is in there.

You need to designate the logfile name when calling the sql loader.

sqlldr myusername/mypassword control=Billing.ctl log=Billing.log

To add a use case to this that is often not discussed, I will pose a solution when submitting a Spark application via spark-submit in local mode.

According to the gitbook Mastering Apache Spark by Jacek Laskowski:

You can run Spark in local mode. In this non-distributed single-JVM deployment mode, Spark spawns all the execution components - driver, executor, backend, and master - in the same JVM. This is the only mode where a driver is used for execution.

Thus, if you are experiencing OOM errors with the heap, it suffices to adjust the driver-memory rather than the executor-memory.

• Loads instantaneously and restores original hash, so the user isn't distracted by URL visibly changing.
• The user can still exit by pressing back 10 times (that's a good thing), but not accidentally
• No user interference like other solutions using onbeforeunload
• It only runs once and doesn't interfere with further hash manipulations in case you use that to track state
• Restores original hash, so almost invisible.
• Uses setInterval, so it doesn't break slow browsers and always works.
• Pure JavaScript, does not require HTML5 history, works everywhere.
• Unobtrusive, simple, and plays well with other code.
• Does not use unbeforeunload which interrupts user with modal dialog.
• It just works without fuss.

Note: some of the other solutions use onbeforeunload. Please do not use onbeforeunload for this purpose, which pops up a dialog whenever users try to close the window, hit backarrow, etc. Modals like onbeforeunload are usually only appropriate in rare circumstances, such as when they've actually made changes on screen and haven't saved them, not for this purpose.

How It Works

1. Executes on page load
2. Saves your original hash (if one is in the URL).
3. Sequentially appends #/noop/{1..10} to the hash
4. Restores the original hash

That's it. No further messing around, no background event monitoring, nothing else.

I am using the Spring framework's RestTemplate in my client programme and, at the server-side, I defined a GET request with a Json body. My primary purpose is the same as yours: when the request has numerous parameters, putting them in the body seems tidier than putting them in the prolonged URI string. Yes?

But, sadly, it's not working! The server-side threw the following exception:

But I am pretty sure the message body is correctly provided by my client code, so what's wrong?

I traced into the RestTemplate.exchange() method and found the following:

Please notice that in the executeInternal() method, the input argument 'bufferedOutput' contains the message body provided by my code. I saw it through the debugger.

However, due to the prepareConnection(), the getDoOutput() in executeInternal() always returns false which, in turn, makes the bufferedOutput completely ignored! It's not copied into the output stream.

Consequently, my server programme received no message body and threw that exception.

This is an example about the RestTemplate of the Spring framework. The point is that, even if the message body is no longer forbidden by the HTTP spec, some client or server libraries or frameworks might still comply with the old spec and reject the message body from the GET request.

I think you can use db.collection.distinct(fields,query)

You will be able to get the distinct values in your case for NetworkID.

The validate_required function seems to expect an HTML form control (e.g, text input field) as first argument, and check whether there is a value there at all. That is not what you want in this case.

The location of libpq-fe.h depends on where your PostgreSQL install is (which depends on how you installed it). Use locate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locate_%28Unix%29) to find the libpq-fe.h file on your machine. If it exists, it will be in the include directory of your PostgreSQL install.

You have declared your function as friend. It's not a member of the class. You should remove Matrix:: from the implementation. friend means that the specified function (which is not a member of the class) can access private member variables. The way you implemented the function is like an instance method for Matrix class which is wrong.

Why write complicated code when you could make it simple?

Indeed, if you are absolutely going to use the Optional class, the most simple code is what you have already written ...

@GetMapping is a method-level

With sprint Spring 4.3. and up things have changed. Now you can use @GetMapping on the method that will handle the http request. The class-level @RequestMapping specification is refined with the (method-level)@GetMapping annotation

Iterable is a generic interface. A problem you might be having (you haven't actually said what problem you're having, if any) is that if you use a generic interface/class without specifying the type argument(s) you can erase the types of unrelated generic types within the class. An example of this is in Non-generic reference to generic class results in non-generic return types.

So I would at least change it to:

This is a pretty obscure corner case of Java generics.

You need to tell Eclipse which JDK/JRE's you have installed and where they are located.

This is somewhat burried in the Eclipse preferences: In the Window-Menu select "Preferences". In the Preferences Tree, open the Node "Java" and select "Installed JRE's". Then click on the "Add"-Button in the Panel and select "Standard VM", "Next" and for "JRE Home" click on the "Directory"-Button and select the top level folder of the JDK you want to add.

Its easier than the description may make it look.

Just figured it out-click anywhere in the table, then go to the tabs at the top of the page and select Options-from there you'll see a Change Data Source selection.

Throwable is super class of Exception as well as Error. In normal cases we should always catch sub-classes of Exception, so that the root cause doesn't get lost.

Only special cases where you see possibility of things going wrong which is not in control of your Java code, you should catch Error or Throwable.

I remember catching Throwable to flag that a native library is not loaded.

I had some issues when getting this to work for reading over sockets piped to it. When the socket got closed it started returning empty string in an active loop. So this is my solution to it (which I only tested in linux, but hope it works in all other systems)

The most important part is the concepts. Once you understand how the building blocks work, differences in syntax amount to little more than mild dialects. A layer on top of your regular expression engine's syntax is the syntax of the programming language you're using. Languages such as Perl remove most of this complication, but you'll have to keep in mind other considerations if you're using regular expressions in a C program.

If you think of regular expressions as building blocks that you can mix and match as you please, it helps you learn how to write and debug your own patterns but also how to understand patterns written by others.

Start simple

Conceptually, the simplest regular expressions are literal characters. The pattern N matches the character 'N'.

Regular expressions next to each other match sequences. For example, the pattern Nick matches the sequence 'N' followed by 'i' followed by 'c' followed by 'k'.

If you've ever used grep on Unix—even if only to search for ordinary looking strings—you've already been using regular expressions! (The re in grep refers to regular expressions.)

Order from the menu

Adding just a little complexity, you can match either 'Nick' or 'nick' with the pattern [Nn]ick. The part in square brackets is a character class, which means it matches exactly one of the enclosed characters. You can also use ranges in character classes, so [a-c] matches either 'a' or 'b' or 'c'.

The pattern . is special: rather than matching a literal dot only, it matches any character^†. It's the same conceptually as the really big character class [-.?+%$A-Za-z0-9...].

Think of character classes as menus: pick just one.

Helpful shortcuts

Using . can save you lots of typing, and there are other shortcuts for common patterns. Say you want to match a digit: one way to write that is [0-9]. Digits are a frequent match target, so you could instead use the shortcut \d. Others are \s (whitespace) and \w (word characters: alphanumerics or underscore).

The uppercased variants are their complements, so \S matches any non-whitespace character, for example.

Once is not enough

From there, you can repeat parts of your pattern with quantifiers. For example, the pattern ab?c matches 'abc' or 'ac' because the ? quantifier makes the subpattern it modifies optional. Other quantifiers are

• * (zero or more times)
• + (one or more times)
• {n} (exactly n times)
• {n,} (at least n times)
• {n,m} (at least n times but no more than m times)

Putting some of these blocks together, the pattern [Nn]*ick matches all of

• ick
• Nick
• nick
• Nnick
• nNick
• nnick
• (and so on)

The first match demonstrates an important lesson: * always succeeds! Any pattern can match zero times.

A few other useful examples:

• [0-9]+ (and its equivalent \d+) matches any non-negative integer
• \d{4}-\d{2}-\d{2} matches dates formatted like 2019-01-01

Grouping

A quantifier modifies the pattern to its immediate left. You might expect 0abc+0 to match '0abc0', '0abcabc0', and so forth, but the pattern immediately to the left of the plus quantifier is c. This means 0abc+0 matches '0abc0', '0abcc0', '0abccc0', and so on.

To match one or more sequences of 'abc' with zeros on the ends, use 0(abc)+0. The parentheses denote a subpattern that can be quantified as a unit. It's also common for regular expression engines to save or "capture" the portion of the input text that matches a parenthesized group. Extracting bits this way is much more flexible and less error-prone than counting indices and substr.

Alternation

Earlier, we saw one way to match either 'Nick' or 'nick'. Another is with alternation as in Nick|nick. Remember that alternation includes everything to its left and everything to its right. Use grouping parentheses to limit the scope of |, e.g., (Nick|nick).

For another example, you could equivalently write [a-c] as a|b|c, but this is likely to be suboptimal because many implementations assume alternatives will have lengths greater than 1.

Escaping

Although some characters match themselves, others have special meanings. The pattern \d+ doesn't match backslash followed by lowercase D followed by a plus sign: to get that, we'd use \\d\+. A backslash removes the special meaning from the following character.

Greediness

Regular expression quantifiers are greedy. This means they match as much text as they possibly can while allowing the entire pattern to match successfully.

For example, say the input is

"Hello," she said, "How are you?"

You might expect ".+" to match only 'Hello,' and will then be surprised when you see that it matched from 'Hello' all the way through 'you?'.

To switch from greedy to what you might think of as cautious, add an extra ? to the quantifier. Now you understand how \((.+?)\), the example from your question works. It matches the sequence of a literal left-parenthesis, followed by one or more characters, and terminated by a right-parenthesis.

If your input is '(123) (456)', then the first capture will be '123'. Non-greedy quantifiers want to allow the rest of the pattern to start matching as soon as possible.

(As to your confusion, I don't know of any regular-expression dialect where ((.+?)) would do the same thing. I suspect something got lost in transmission somewhere along the way.)

Anchors

Use the special pattern ^ to match only at the beginning of your input and $ to match only at the end. Making "bookends" with your patterns where you say, "I know what's at the front and back, but give me everything between" is a useful technique.

Say you want to match comments of the form

-- This is a comment --

you'd write ^--\s+(.+)\s+--$.
