1. Choose "release" version in "Build Variant" ToolBar
2. In the Build.gradle for the module set debuggable true for release build type
3. Go to File->Project Structure->under signing tab fill all info->Under Flavours tab->Choose signing Config You just created
4. Set the breakpoints
5. Run the application in the debug mode

Lambdas are purely a call-site construct: the recipient of the lambda does not need to know that a Lambda is involved, instead it accepts an Interface with the appropriate method.

I think of return as a trick. As a general rule, the value of the last expression evaluated in a function becomes the function's value -- and this general pattern is found in many places. All of the following evaluate to 3:

In phpMyAdmin, click the table, and then click the Import tab at the top of the page.

I had the same issue and I resolved it with MySQL workbench, as shown in the attached screenshot:

1. in the navigator (on the left side), under the section "management", click on "Status and System variables",
2. then choose "system variables" (tab at the top),
3. then search for "connection" in the search field,

We are using Groovy to test our RestFUL API, using a series of helper functions to build the xml put/post/gets and then a series of tests on the nodes of the XML to check that the data is manipulated correctly.

We use Poster (for Firefox, Chrome seems to be lacking a similar tool) for hand testing single areas, or simply to poll the API at times when we need to create further tests, or check the status of things.

A simple solution that works well, is to parse the double from the string representation of the float:

What about using MAX? That way if no data is found the variable is set to NULL, otherwise the maximum value.

The better solutions, when possible are:

• Replicate your data (using log-replication) to a reporting database.
• Use SAN snapshots and mount a consistent version of the DB
• Use a database which has a better fundamental transaction isolation level

The SNAPSHOT transaction isolation level was created because MS was losing sales to Oracle. Oracle uses undo/redo logs to avoid this problem. Postgres uses MVCC. In the future MS's Heckaton will use MVCC, but that's years away from being production ready.

If you prefer to resolve timestamps and dates conversions from and to UTC and local time without libraries like moment.js, take a look at the option below.

For applications that use UTC timestamps, you may need to show the date in the browser considering the local timezone and daylight savings when applicable. Editing a date that is in a different daylight savings time even though in the same timezone can be tricky.

The Number and Date extensions below allow you to show and get dates in the timezone of the timestamps. For example, lets say you are in Vancouver, if you are editing a date in July or in December, it can mean you are editing a date in PST or PDT.

There are times when it's useful to implement an interface that will be returned from within the class, but the implementation of that interface should be completely hidden from the outside world.

As an example - prior to the addition of yield to C#, one way to implement enumerators was to put the implementation of the enumerator as a private class within a collection. This would provide easy access to the members of the collection, but the outside world would not need/see the details of how this is implemented.

More an extension to the question than an answer, but it may add some perspective to the great technical answers above. I'm an experienced programmer in a number of areas, but a total noob to programming for the web. Now trying to build a web-based application using Zend Framework.

Definitely will implement an application-specific basic username/password authentication interface, but recognize that for a growing number of users the thought of yet another username and password is a deterrent. While not exactly social networking, I know that a very large percentage of the application's potential users already have facebook or twitter accounts. The application doesn't really want or need to access information about the user's account from those sites, it just wants to offer the convenience of not requiring the user to set up new account credentials if they don't want to. From a functionality point of view, that would seem a poster child for OpenID. But it seems that neither facebook nor twitter are OpenID providers as such, though they do support OAuth authentication to access their user's data.

In all the articles I've read about the two and how they differ, it wan't until I saw Karl Anderson's observation above, that "OAuth can be used for authentication, which can be thought of as a no-op authorization" that I saw any explicit confirmation that OAuth was good enough for what I wanted to do.

In fact, when I went to post this "answer", not being a member at the time, I looked long and hard at the bottom of this page at the options for identifying myself. The option for using an OpenID login or obtaining one if I didn't have one, but nothing about twitter or facebook, seemed to suggest that OAuth wasn't adequate for the job. But then I opened another window and looked for the general signup process for stackoverflow - and lo and behold there's a slew of 3rd-party authentication options including facebook and twitter. In the end I decided to use my google id (which is an OpenID) for exactly the reason that I didn't want to grant stackoverflow access to my friends list and anything else facebook likes to share about its users - but at least it's a proof point that OAuth is adequate for the use I had in mind.

It would really be great if someone could either post info or pointers to info about supporting this kind of multiple 3rd-part authorization setup, and how you deal with users that revoke authorization or lose access to their 3rd party site. I also get the impression that my username here identifies a unique stackoverflow account that I could access with basic authentication if I wanted to set it up, and also access this same account through other 3rd-party authenticators (e.g. so that I would be considered logged in to stackoverflow if I was logged in to any of google, facebook, or twitter...). Since this site is doing it, somebody here probably has some pretty good insight on the subject. :-)

It's a JavaScript quirk. When a function is a property of an object, more aptly called a method, this refers to the object. In the example of an event handler, the containing object is the element that triggered the event. When a standard function is invoked, this will refer to the global object. When you have nested functions as in your example, this does not relate to the context of the outer function at all. For my case, I was trying to execute procedure code in MySQL, and due to some issue with server in which Server can't figure out where to end the statement I was getting Error Code 1064. So I wrapped the procedure with custom DELIMITER and it worked fine.

As of today, you can read some values from HTML5 data attributes in CSS3 declarations. In CaioToOn's fiddle the CSS code can use the data properties for setting the content.

Unfortunately it is not working for the width and height (tested in Google Chrome 35, Mozilla Firefox 30 & Internet Explorer 11).

But there is a CSS3 attr() Polyfill from Fabrice Weinberg which provides support for data-width and data-height. You can find the GitHub repo to it here: cssattr.js.

In order to write into a file in Python, we need to open it in write w, append a or exclusive creation x mode.

We need to be careful with the w mode, as it will overwrite into the file if it already exists. Due to this, all the previous data are erased.

Writing a string or sequence of bytes (for binary files) is done using the write() method. This method returns the number of characters written to the file.

You can use the built-in android.R.anim.linear_interpolator from your animation XML file with android:interpolator="@android:anim/linear_interpolator".

Or you can create your own XML interpolation file in your project, e.g. name it res/anim/linear_interpolator.xml:

You can use JavaScript in a synchronous way, or an asynchronous way. In fact JavaScript has really good asynchronous support. For example I might have code that requires a database request. I can then run other code, not dependent on that request, while I wait for that request to complete. This asynchronous coding is supported with promises, async/await, etc. But if you don't need a nice way to handle long waits then just use JS synchronously.

What do we mean by 'asynchronous'. Well it does not mean multi-threaded, but rather describes a non-dependent relationship. Check out this image from this popular answer:

We see that a single threaded application can have async behavior. The work in function A is not dependent on function B completing, and so while function A began before function B, function A is able to complete at a later time and on the same thread.

So, just because JavaScript executes one command at a time, on a single thread, it does not then follow that JavaScript can only be used as a synchronous language.

I'm wondering if this is the heart of your question. I take it that you mean how do you know if some code you are calling is async or sync. That is, will the rest of your code run off and do something while you wait for some result? Your first check should be the documentation for whichever library you are using. Node methods, for example, have clear names like readFileSync. If the documentation is no good there is a lot of help here on SO. EG:

I guess I will start you off with the time complexity of a linked list:

Indexing---->O(n)
Inserting / Deleting at end---->O(1) or O(n)
Inserting / Deleting in middle--->O(1) with iterator O(n) with out

The time complexity for the Inserting at the end depends if you have the location of the last node, if you do, it would be O(1) other wise you will have to search through the linked list and the time complexity would jump to O(n).

While you can combine GPL and MIT code, the GPL is tainting. Which means the package as a whole gets the limitations of the GPL. As that is more restrictive you can no longer use it in commercial (or rather closed source) software. Which also means if you have a MIT/BSD/ASL project you will not want to add dependencies to GPL code.

Adding a GPL dependency does not change the license of your code but it will limit what people can do with the artifact of your project. This is also why the ASF does not allow dependencies to GPL code for their projects.

There is no bound checking in array in C programming. If you declare array as

int arr[50];

Then you can even write as

arr[51] = 10;

I would use BeautifulSoup if it's available. Makes this sort of thing very easy.

Don't try to do it with regexps. That way lies madness.

Of cause it's possible to create dynamic classes using very cool ExpandoObject class. But recently I worked on project and faced that Expando Object is serealized in not the same format on xml as an simple Anonymous class, it was pity =( , that is why I decided to create my own class and share it with you. I was also searching same answer, because at some point of time I needed total_count with distinct values along with limit/offset.

Because it's little tricky to do- To get total count with distinct values along with limit/offset. Usually it's hard to get total count with limit/offset. Finally I got the way to do -

Query performance is also high.

I think the only way of doing this in SQL-Server 2008R2 is to use a correlated subquery, or an outer apply:

This can be done in SQL-Server 2012 using the syntax you have suggested:

However, use of DISTINCT is still not allowed, so if DISTINCT is required and/or if upgrading isn't an option then I think OUTER APPLY is your best option

So aside from the basic concept of checking for a string length less than 1, it is important to consider context deeply. Languages human or computer or otherwise might have different definitions of empty strings and within those same languages, additional context may further change the meaning.

Let's say empty string means "a string which does not contain any characters significant in the current context".

This could mean visually, as in color and background color are same in an attributed string. Effectively empty.

This could mean empty of meaningful characters. All dots or all dashes or all underscores might be considered empty. Further, empty of meaningful significant characters could mean a string that has no characters the reader understands. They could be characters in a language or characterSet defined as meaningless to the reader. We could define it a little differently to say the string forms no known words in a given language.

We could say empty is a function of the percentage of negative space in the glyphs rendered.

Even a sequence of non printable characters with no general visual representation is not truly empty. Control characters come to mind. Especially the low ASCII range (I'm surprised nobody mentioned those as they hose lots of systems and are not whitespace as they normally have no glyphs and no visual metrics). Yet the string length is not zero.

Conclusion. Length alone is not the only measure here. Contextual set membership is also pretty important.

Character Set membership is a very important common additional measure. Meaningful sequences are also a fairly common one. ( think SETI or crypto or captchas ) Additional more abstract context sets also exist.

So think carefully before assuming a string is only empty based on length or whitespace.

GCC 4.9 introduces a newer C++ ABI version than your system libstdc++ has, so you need to tell the loader to use this newer version of the library by adding that path to LD_LIBRARY_PATH. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you straight off where the libstdc++ so for your GCC 4.9 installation is located, as this depends on how you configured GCC. So you need something in the style of:

Below, I have written an answer for n equals to 5, but you can apply same approach to draw DFAs for any value of n and 'any positional number system' e.g binary, ternary...

First lean the term 'Complete DFA', A DFA defined on complete domain in d:Q × S?Q is called 'Complete DFA'. In other words we can say; in transition diagram of complete DFA there is no missing edge (e.g. from each state in Q there is one outgoing edge present for every language symbol in S). Note: Sometime we define partial DFA as d ? Q × S?Q (Read: How does “d:Q × S?Q” read in the definition of a DFA).

Design DFA accepting Binary numbers divisible by number 'n':

Step-1: When you divide a number ? by n then reminder can be either 0, 1, ..., (n - 2) or (n - 1). If remainder is 0 that means ? is divisible by n otherwise not. So, in my DFA there will be a state q_r that would be corresponding to a remainder value r, where 0 <= r <= (n - 1), and total number of states in DFA is n.
After processing a number string ? over S, the end state is q_r implies that ? % n => r (% reminder operator).

In any automata, the purpose of a state is like memory element. A state in an atomata stores some information like fan's switch that can tell whether the fan is in 'off' or in 'on' state. For n = 5, five states in DFA corresponding to five reminder information as follows:

1. State q₀ reached if reminder is 0. State q₀ is the final state(accepting state). It is also an initial state.
2. State q₁ reaches if reminder is 1, a non-final state.
3. State q₂ if reminder is 2, a non-final state.
4. State q₃ if reminder is 3, a non-final state.
5. State q₄ if reminder is 4, a non-final state.

Using above information, we can start drawing transition diagram TD of five states as follows:

So, 5 states for 5 remainder values. After processing a string ? if end-state becomes q₀ that means decimal equivalent of input string is divisible by 5. In above figure q₀ is marked final state as two concentric circle.
Additionally, I have defined a transition rule d:(q₀, 0)?q₀ as a self loop for symbol '0' at state q₀, this is because decimal equivalent of any string consist of only '0' is 0 and 0 is a divisible by n.

Step-2: TD above is incomplete; and can only process strings of '0's. Now add some more edges so that it can process subsequent number's strings. Check table below, shows new transition rules those can be added next step:

Above transition diagram in figure-2 is still incomplete and there are many missing edges, for an example no transition is defined for d:(q₂, 1)-?. And the rule should be present to process strings like '101'.
Because '101' = 5 is divisible by 5, and to accept '101' I will add d:(q₂, 1)?q₀ in above figure-2.

Total number of edges in transition diagram figure-12 are 15 = Q × S = 5 * 3 (a complete DFA). And this DFA can accept all strings consist over {0, 1, 2} those decimal equivalent is divisible by 5.
If you notice at each step, in table there are three entries because at each step I add all possible outgoing edge from a state to make a complete DFA (and I add an edge so that q_r state gets for remainder is r)!

To add further, remember union of two regular languages are also a regular. If you need to design a DFA that accepts binary strings those decimal equivalent is either divisible by 3 or 5, then draw two separate DFAs for divisible by 3 and 5 then union both DFAs to construct target DFA (for 1 <= n <= 10 your have to union 10 DFAs).

If you are asked to draw DFA that accepts binary strings such that decimal equivalent is divisible by 5 and 3 both then you are looking for DFA of divisible by 15 ( but what about 6 and 8?).

Note: DFAs drawn with this technique will be minimized DFA only when there is no common factor between number n and base e.g. there is no between 5 and 2 in first example, or between 5 and 3 in second example, hence both DFAs constructed above are minimized DFAs. If you are interested to read further about possible mini states for number n and base b read paper: Divisibility and State Complexity.

Design DFA for base 'b' number strings divisible by number 'n':

So we can apply above trick to draw DFA to recognize number strings in any base 'b' those are divisible a given number 'n'. In that DFA total number of states will be n (for n remainders) and number of edges should be equal to 'b' * 'n' — that is complete DFA: 'b' = number of symbols in language of DFA and 'n' = number of states.

Using above trick, below I have written a Python Script to Draw DFA for input base and number. In script, function divided_by_N populates DFA's transition rules in base * number steps. In each step-num, I convert num into number string num_s using function baseN(). To avoid processing each number string, I have used a temporary data-structure lookup_table. In each step, end-state for number string num_s is evaluated and stored in lookup_table to use in next step.

For transition graph of DFA, I have written a function draw_transition_graph using Pygraphviz library (very easy to use). To use this script you need to install graphviz. To add colorful edges in transition diagram, I randomly generates color codes for each symbol get_color_dict function.

If the pages are blank coming from SSRS, you need to tweak your report layout. This will be far more efficient than running the output through and post process to repair the side effects of a layout problem.

SSRS is very finicky when it comes to pushing the boundaries of the margins. It is easy to accidentally widen/lengthen the report just by adjusting text box or other control on the report. Check the width and height property of the report surface carefully and squeeze them as much as possible. Watch out for large headers and footers.

One of the best methods to compare two colors by human perception is CIE76. The difference is called Delta-E. When it is less than 1, the human eye can not recognize the difference.

3. set its TAG to 0 by default.
4. Register Event for datetimepicker VALUECHANGED.

Now real work starts

if user will interact with datetimepicker its VALUECHANGED event will be called and there set its TAG property to 1.

Final Step

Now when saving, check if its TAG is zero, then save NULL date else if TAG is 1 then pick and save Datetime picker value.

It Works like a charm.

Now if you want its value be changed back to empty by user interaction, then add checkbox and show text "Clear" with this checkbox. if user wants to clear date, simply again set its CUSTOM FORMAT property to empty string " ", and set its TAG back to 0. Thats it..

Experienced this on ubuntu 16.04 running PHP 7.1.14. To resolve,first put this in a script and execute. It will return true if curl is installed and enabled,otherwise, it will return false.

Here's yet another answer offering commentary on how Muis, Abdullah Al-Ageel and Flip's answer are all mathematically the same thing except written differently.

Sure, we have José Manuel Ramos's analysis explaining how rounding errors affect each slightly differently, but that's implementation dependent and would change based on how each answer were applied to code.

There is however a rather big difference

It's in Muis's N, Flip's k, and Abdullah Al-Ageel's n. Abdullah Al-Ageel doesn't quite explain what n should be, but N and k differ in that N is "the number of samples where you want to average over" while k is the count of values sampled. (Although I have doubts to whether calling N the number of samples is accurate.)

And here we come to the answer below. It's essentially the same old exponential weighted moving average as the others, so if you were looking for an alternative, stop right here.

Exponential weighted moving average

Initially:

average = 0
counter = 0

For each value:

counter += 1
average = average + (value - average) / min(counter, FACTOR)

The difference is the min(counter, FACTOR) part. This is the same as saying min(Flip's k, Muis's N).

FACTOR is a constant that affects how quickly the average "catches up" to the latest trend. Smaller the number the faster. (At 1 it's no longer an average and just becomes the latest value.)

This answer requires the running counter counter. If problematic, the min(counter, FACTOR) can be replaced with just FACTOR, turning it into Muis's answer. The problem with doing this is the moving average is affected by whatever average is initiallized to. If it was initialized to 0, that zero can take a long time to work its way out of the average.

That 2GB limit you see is the total memory of the VM in which docker runs.

If you are using docker-for-windows or docker-for-mac you can easily increase it from the Whale icon in the task bar, then go to Preferences -> Advanced:

Since START is the only way to execute something in the background from a CMD script, I would recommend you keep using it. Instead of the /B modifier, try /MIN so the newly created window won't bother you. Also, you can set the priority to something lower with /LOW or /BELOWNORMAL, which should improve your system responsiveness.

In a nutshell, it is your lockscreen.

PIN, pattern, face, password locks or the default lock (slide to unlock), but it is your lock screen.

The || and && operators are short circuit, so if the left side of || evaluates to true or the left side of && evaluates to false, the right side will not be evaluated. That's equivalent to a break.

For some paths, the other answers will return an error of the form fatal: ambiguous argument.

In these cases diff needs a separator to differentiate filename arguments from commit strings. For example to answer the question asked you'd need to execute:

$ git diff --cached -- <path-to-file>

This will display the changes between the modified files and the last commit.

On the other hand:

git diff --cached HEAD~3 <path-to-file>

will display the changes between the local version of and the version three commits ago.

Well, I still find some room to answer.

In addition to answers from Rob and Nathan, I would add that having client-side validations matters. When you are applying validations on your webforms you must follow these guidelines:

Client-Side

1. Must use client-side validations in order to filter genuine requests coming from genuine users at your website.
2. The client-side validation should be used to reduce the errors that might occure during server side processing.
3. Client-side validation should be used to minimize the server-side round-trips so that you save bandwidth and the requests per user.

Server-Side

1. You SHOULD NOT assume the validation successfully done at client side is 100% perfect. No matter even if it serves less than 50 users. You never know which of your user/emplyee turn into an "evil" and do some harmful activity knowing you dont have proper validations in place.
2. Even if its perfect in terms of validating email address, phone numbers or checking some valid inputs it might contain very harmful data. Which needs to be filtered at server-side no matter if its correct or incorrect.
3. If client-side validation is bypassed, your server-side validations comes to rescue you from any potential damage to your server-side processing. In recent times, we have already heard lot of stories of SQL Injections and other sort of techniques that might be applied in order to gain some evil benefits.

Both types of validations play important roles in their respective scope but the most strongest is the server-side. If you receive 10k users at a single point of time then you would definitely end up filtering the number of requests coming to your webserver. If you find there was a single mistake like invalid email address then they post back the form again and ask your user to correct it which will definitely eat your server resources and bandwidth. So better you apply javascript validation. If javascript is disabled then your server side validation will come to rescue and i bet only a few users might have accidentlly disable it since 99.99% of websites use javascript and its already enabled by default in all modern browsers.

I am pretty sure that assuming that the relations and indexes are maintained a Join will perform better overall (more effort goes into working with that operation then others). If you think about it conceptually then its the difference between 2 queries and 1 query.

You need to hook it up to the Query Analyzer and try it and see the difference. Also look at the Query Execution Plan and try to minimize steps.

It's best practice only to escape the quotes when you need to - if you can get away without escaping it, then do!

The only times you should need to escape are when trying to put " inside a string, or ' in a character:

I had the same problem. The error list window has 2 dropdowns "Show items contained by" and "Show issues generated". These names are visible after hovering over the dropdown. The "Show issues generated" dropdown was set to "Build + IntelliSense" and after changing to "Build Only" the errors appeared on the list.

mysqli_fetch_array() returns NULL if there is no row.

In procedural style:

PS: Please keep in mind that yourRandomStringLength cannot exceed 32 as Guid has max length of 32.

Say that you have a list values = [3,6,1,5], and need the index of the smallest element, i.e. index_min = 2 in this case.

Avoid the solution with itemgetter() presented in the other answers, and use instead

index_min = min(range(len(values)), key=values.__getitem__)

because it doesn't require to import operator nor to use enumerate, and it is always faster(benchmark below) than a solution using itemgetter().

If you are dealing with numpy arrays or can afford numpy as a dependency, consider also using

import numpy as np
index_min = np.argmin(values)

This will be faster than the first solution even if you apply it to a pure Python list if:

• it is larger than a few elements (about 2**4 elements on my machine)
• you can afford the memory copy from a pure list to a numpy array

The date time you're passing is not a iso local date time format.

Change to

I think your problem is the @DateTimeFormat has no effect at all. As the jackson is doing the deseralization and it doesnt know anything about spring annotation and I dont see spring scanning this annotation in the deserialization context.

Alternatively, you can try setting the formatter while registering the java time module.

Manually editing the csproj file solved my problem.

In Eclipse Goto Windows > Preferences > Java > Compiler > Errors/Warnings
and change all of them to errors. Fix all the errors. This is the simplest way. The beauty is that this will allow you to clean up the code as you write.

The first documented "foo" in tech circles is probably 1959's Dictionary of the TMRC Language:

FOO: the sacred syllable (FOO MANI PADME HUM); to be spoken only when under inspiration to commune with the Deity. Our first obligation is to keep the Foo Counters turning.

These are explained at FOLDOC. The dictionary's compiler Pete Samson said in 2005:

Use of this word at TMRC antedates my coming there. A foo counter could simply have randomly flashing lights, or could be a real counter with an obscure input.

I second the jargon file regarding Foo Bar. I can trace it back at least to 1963, and PDP-1 serial number 2, which was on the second floor of Building 26 at MIT. Foo and Foo Bar were used there, and after 1964 at the PDP-6 room at project MAC.

John V. Everett recalls in 1996:

When I joined DEC in 1966, foobar was already being commonly used as a throw-away file name. I believe fubar became foobar because the PDP-6 supported six character names, although I always assumed the term migrated to DEC from MIT. There were many MIT types at DEC in those days, some of whom had worked with the 7090/7094 CTSS. Since the 709x was also a 36 bit machine, foobar may have been used as a common file name there.

Foo and bar were also commonly used as file extensions. Since the text editors of the day operated on an input file and produced an output file, it was common to edit from a .foo file to a .bar file, and back again.

It was also common to use foo to fill a buffer when editing with TECO. The text string to exactly fill one disk block was IFOO$HXA127GA$$. Almost all of the PDP-6/10 programmers I worked with used this same command string.

Dick Gruen had a device in his dorm room, the usual assemblage of B-battery, resistors, capacitors, and NE-2 neon tubes, which he called a "foo counter." This would have been circa 1964 or so.

The earliest PDP-1 Assembler used two characters for symbols (18 bit machine) programmers always left a few words as patch space to fix problems. On the IBM side of FOO(FU)BAR is the use of the BAR side as Base Address Register; in the middle 1970's CICS programmers had to worry out the various xxxBARs...I think one of those was FRACTBAR...

Important: Beware that when executing commands they will typically be logged in your ~/.bash_history file (or similar) in plain text including all arguments provided (i.e. the passphrases in this case). It is, therefore, is recommended that you use the first option unless you have a specific reason to do otherwise.

Notice though that you can still use -f keyfile without having to specify -P nor -N, and that the keyfile defaults to ~/.ssh/id_rsa, so in many cases, it's not even needed.

You might want to consider using ssh-agent, which can cache the passphrase for a time. The latest versions of gpg-agent also support the protocol that is used by ssh-agent.

You don't have to have a method for that. You could create a property like this instead:

• 6 is minimum character limit
• 20 is maximum character limit
• ?= means match expression

You can just add the word JOIN or add a ; after each line(as @pictchubbate said). Better this way because of readability and also you should not meddle DELETE with INSERT; it is easy to go south.

The last question is a matter of debate, but as far as I know yes you should close after a set of queries. This applies mostly to old plain mysql/php and not PDO, mysqli. Things get more complicated(and heated in debates) in these cases.

Finally, I would suggest either using PDO or some other method.

There is more than one way to define "memory leak". In particular, there are two primary definitions of "memory leak" that are in common usage among programmers.

The first commonly used definition of "memory leak" is, "Memory was allocated and was not subsequently freed before the program terminated." However, many programmers (rightly) argue that certain types of memory leaks that fit this definition don't actually pose any sort of problem, and therefore should not be considered true "memory leaks".

An arguably stricter (and more useful) definition of "memory leak" is, "Memory was allocated and cannot be subsequently freed because the program no longer has any pointers to the allocated memory block." In other words, you cannot free memory that you no longer have any pointers to. Such memory is therefore a "memory leak". Valgrind uses this stricter definition of the term "memory leak". This is the type of leak which can potentially cause significant heap depletion, especially for long lived processes.

The "still reachable" category within Valgrind's leak report refers to allocations that fit only the first definition of "memory leak". These blocks were not freed, but they could have been freed (if the programmer had wanted to) because the program still was keeping track of pointers to those memory blocks.

In general, there is no need to worry about "still reachable" blocks. They don't pose the sort of problem that true memory leaks can cause. For instance, there is normally no potential for heap exhaustion from "still reachable" blocks. This is because these blocks are usually one-time allocations, references to which are kept throughout the duration of the process's lifetime. While you could go through and ensure that your program frees all allocated memory, there is usually no practical benefit from doing so since the operating system will reclaim all of the process's memory after the process terminates, anyway. Contrast this with true memory leaks which, if left unfixed, could cause a process to run out of memory if left running long enough, or will simply cause a process to consume far more memory than is necessary.

Probably the only time it is useful to ensure that all allocations have matching "frees" is if your leak detection tools cannot tell which blocks are "still reachable" (but Valgrind can do this) or if your operating system doesn't reclaim all of a terminating process's memory (all platforms which Valgrind has been ported to do this).

The reason for methods in interfaces being by default public and abstract seems quite logical and obvious to me.

A method in an interface it is by default abstract to force the implementing class to provide an implementation and is public by default so the implementing class has access to do so.

Adding those modifiers in your code is redundant and useless and can only lead to the conclusion that you lack knowledge and/or understanding of Java fundamentals.

You need to include SOAPAction as a header in the request. As you have httpPost and requestWrapper handles, there are three ways adding the header.

 1. httpPost.addHeader( "SOAPAction", strReferenceToSoapActionValue );

 3. requestWrapper.setHeader( "SOAPAction", strReferenceToSoapActionValue );

Only difference is that addHeader allows multiple values with same header name and setHeader allows unique header names only. setHeader(... over writes first header with the same name.
